Dear Sir,

I wish to lodge a compliant with regard to the Hitachi Air Conditioner I bought.

I had first time purchased a Hitachi Air Conditioner on 2642009 vide bill no RB-1184 (model no RAVO19ENDZ1) From Ms Sham Lal Krishan Lal, Sadar Bazar, Delhi for a sum of Rs 22,400/- of 1.5 tonnes. On the same day, time and from the same dealer i also purchased another 1.5 tonnes AC of Whirlpool Company for Rs 17,030/-.

I paid Rs 5,400/- extra (i.e 31.50%) for purchase of Hitachi brand AC as compared to that of whirlpool AC, keeping in mind the brand value it enjoys.

AND FROM THAT DAY MY PROBLEMS STARTED.

At the time of first service I had to call number of times at the authorized service station and they people gave the time but never came for the service. And finally after a week they visited my place and did the first service of the AC. On 02nd Sep 2009 the AC stopped working and we called the service station to rectify the same. But again the service station people started giving us the time BUT nobody visited for service AND this continued for 15 days. It is on the 20th of Sep 2009 that we told them that we are going to lodge a complaint of their service station with the company, the service station people visited us on 21th Sep and told us that the gas in the AC has leaked and the same will have to be carried to the service station for repairs. However after 4 days they came and took the AC with them and issued us a receipt no 1092 dated[protected]Moonson Air Conditioning, 311330 B, Chander Bhavan, Mansukh Singh Marg, Near Shubham Place, Madanpur Khadar, Sarita Vihar, New Delhi Ph No 24943784, [protected], [protected]). After that the follow up started at our end to get back our AC from them. Ultimately after chasing them we finally got back our AC on 07th Oct, 2009 after a period of 15 days from them vide receipt no 1422. BUT FINALLY BY THAT TIME THE SEASON FOR AC HAD GONE.

In the middle of March 2010 we again started calling them for service of the AC which is provided free of cost by the Company. Again they started giving us time and never visited for the service. Finally after several reminders they came to our place in the first week of April (after a period of 21 days since we started calling them) and told that the gas has leaked from the AC and the same will have to be taken to the service station for repair. Since then we have been waiting for them to come and take back the AC for repairs but no one till date has come. They might be delaying the repair of my AC this time keeping in mind that the warranty of my AC is expiring on 26th April 2010 and thereafter they will be charging me towards the repairing charges.


We hope this year too as the last year we will not be able to use our AC for the purpose we have purchased.

On the other hand the other company AC we purchased is working perfectly with timely and efficient service. I had another AC with LG Brand and we are using the same for the last 7 years. It has not given us any trouble over the years. It is only the HITACHI AC which has a problem of gas leakage twice over the months only.

We are paying for the price of buying a Third class product of a reputed company. If this is the product and the service agencies the company is keeping then I don’t expect a good future of HITACHI . This is the first and last time I had purchased a HITACHI brand product and I have even told people in my circle not to go for any product of HITACHI BRAND. The day i had purchased my AC I am in trouble. If the gas has leaked two times in the first year without even being used and should life should I expect of this AC.

IT SEEMS THIS IS A POLICY OF THE COMPANY TO DELAY THE REPAIRS OF THE PRODUCTS WHICH ARE NEAR WARRANTY AND CHARGE THEM WHEN THE PERIOD EXPIRES.

I have decided to go in the consumer court for the third class product being supplied to me and the harrasment being caused to me by your service agency. But before doing that I thought it will be better on my part to bring all this in the knowledge of the company keeping in mind that some body might listed to the customer grevience in the company.

    from the date of purchase i.e 28.03.2010 after saveral calls installation of Split AC of Hitachi make was done on 1.04.2010. On the date of installation it was found that the PCB (sensors for Remote are not working. it was informed to the person head of service dept Mr Chaudhary mob no [protected]. but till date i was asked for 1 day wait but he no more responsible for the services. They had wasted my 4 holidays for the work to be get done but none of the reliance digital fellow at ambience mall is taking gurantee.

    i request you to please help to take some necessary action against Mr chaudhary and his team for harassing us as its been almost 22 days that i have been following up for my problem but no action has been taken up till date.

    Also, for my friends i would suggest not to purchase any material from Reliance digital as they harass people after purchase. This is my second case in which i have been suffering from such problems initialy they had done this drama for my car music system that i had purchased from them.

    i think such stores should be banned as the material we purchase of branded company & if we try to lodge complaint on that company for the product they simply say that for the product we had purchased from the stores they are not liable for those product

    Thank you very much for informing the same. I was about to purchase Hitachi make Split AC-1.2 Ton from Great Eastern, Garia, Kolkata as I stay nearby. But after reading the incident of yours, I have not only changed my plan to purchase Godrej make AC but also planning to post your message in front of Great Eastern Store at Garia, Kolkata. It is unfortunate that we still believe thse MNC's as the best wherein there are plenty of Indian Companies who provides outstanding support to their client-ranjan chatterjee from Garia Kolkata

      Hi All,

      I would like to bring to your notice a recent event in which a Hitachi India technician tried to cheat me by quoting outrageous amounts for the wrong the installation of my Hitachi split a/c.ipurchased split ac ondated[protected].inv. no -ae/13864. from ANAND ELECTRONIOKS rampuri the wrong installation of outdoor unit .all the hot air push into my shop. now iam complaint so many time they ask me for 1500/= for installation of a.c.
      The following is a letter which I wrote to Hitachi today. Has anyone else been faced with such cheats and if you have what actions did you take? Please let us all know so we know how to handle these crooks in the future. I'll keep you guys posted on the response from Hitachi. Thanks, ramesh kaushik email. [protected]@gmail.com

        We have been calling the customer care of Hitachi Home And Life Solutions (India) Ltd. for the free service of our air conditioner but there is no response from the company itself. Its very bad that such reputed companies are harassing their customers like this. We have already registered a complaint here but still there is no response (Complaint No.[protected]. The company does not respond for the after sale service once the product is sold which is under warranty. We request you to take neccessary actions against it.

        I have felt same problem with Hitachi which did not rectified complaint of service after 45 Days...Very Very Very bad Services by Hitachi at Pune.
        i am also going through a very bad experience, extremely bad service. i am suffering since last 20 days and the company couldnt replace a PCB and i am tired of calling toll free number and following up

          THIS HAS BEEN GIVING PROBLEMS FROM DAY 1 OF PURCHASE AND EVERYYEAR RS[protected] IS BEING SPENT for gas filling every year and mashine has manufacturing defect.

          inspite of repeated complaints on phone the machine is nor replaced.

          pl get m/c replaced and RS 7500/ reimbursed for gas filling amount spent till date.

            I bought Hitachi 0.9 ton split ac in vasanth& co t.nagar branch on 3.4.2010. They delivered AC on 9.4.2010 after several remainders. Then they installed on 12.04.2010. After installation when we switched on the ac in front of the mechanic, immediately gas in the indoor unit leaked. So the mechanic asked us to call the vasanth & co branch to get replaced with a new kit. After this we have contacted the vasanth& co branch ( t.nagar) for replacement. They are not responding. Whenever we call they are simply noting down the address and phone number but there is no action. please help

              Sorry to inform that with great enthusiasm, we purchased Window 1.5T AC
              on 04/04/10 from Dwarika Dealer, with the presumption that it is one of the best 3 Star
              BEE product from MNC's, who provides the best Customer Service than most of the other
              India Companies. (Vide Book No.14; S No. 686, Dt. 04/04/10)

              Unfortunately our hopes have been dashed to ground as no Service Engineer
              despite several reminders, has visited us for the demonstration either from the
              Hitachi Company and / or from Dealer, till date.

              Will you kindly look into the matter and direct the concerned staff to get in action before
              it is too late. Lest New Customers are not put to such an embracement and a negative
              word / wave starts spreading across to the Consumer Protection Agencies in NCR of Delhi.

              Your early action and conformation on the matter under question would be highly appreciated.

                I had purchased one No. of Hitachi make 2.0 Ton [Atom Square] Spilit Airconditioners with 2 Indoor & 1 Out door appliance from M/s. Freez Engineering, No.10, Kovalam Road, Township, Complex, Mamallapuram. Tamil Nadu - 603 104 {Tin: [protected]/CST.No.723692/8.6.2000}.

                The Model No. is RMUO28ENDZi; ODV-091CO8143; IDU (1)SEO91C08264 & (2) SEO91CO8281. The Spilt A/c was purchased at a cost of Rs.58,500/- (Cash Memo No.186 dated 23.04.2009)

                The said dealer had exhibited a Mega A/C Sale Mela during the period from 12th April to 19th April 2009 where it was announced that the Customers of Hitachi Make will be extended the following benefits for the purchases in the Mela Sale:-

                1. Scratch and Win Gift (Hitachi Only) (Micro-oven, DVD, Sportsbag, T-Shirts etc)
                2. Scratch and Win Spot Cash Back (Rs.101 to 1001/-)
                3. Free Installation
                4. Lowest Price
                5. Free Gift on every purchase.

                Accordingly I am one of the beneficiary who had made a purchase as aforesaid.

                Recently I was transferred from Kalpakkam Township (Door No.32, 9th Street, Kalpakkam) to that of another Township named Anupuram (Door No.50, ROSAA, Anupuram Township, Thirukalikundram Taluk, Kancheepuram District). On transfer I had approached the dealer to shift the airconditioners. But due to some delay I could not deploy his services. Instead got it shifted through one reputed service representative. On installation the apparatus was working satisfactorily for 2 days. Later on some failure had occured. The Indoor unit had started giving trouble like ice-formation etc. Since the Machine is in its warranty period, I had approached the Dealer for doing the rectification who had readily agreed and had come to my residence and taken the Board from one indoor unit on 06th April 2009 in the pretext that it has worn out due to some wrong installation. Even after a lapse of around 10 days he has not taken any interest to get things right. In spite of frequent calls he has not responded. Now that the so called dealer states that there is not warranty for the Electronic Board and that it can be replaced at chargeable rates which has also been agreed to. But of Vain. There is no response since his mobile seems to be swithced off.

                Kindly advice me as what is to be done in this matter. Do I need to lodge a Customer Grievance so that my mental agony is eased at the earliest. I do not find it wise to lodge such complaints against the reputed Manufactuer M/s. HITACHI. Moreover I do not have the Customer Care Number of M/s. Hitachi at Chennai where I can lodge a complaint.

                Please do the needful and advise me accordingly.

                  sir,
                  i have purchased the Hitachi window A.C from asha & company Allahabad , as pre terms & condition provided by you three routine service is given by the customer is mandatory , but your service provider is not provide any service till today , I have also registerd a complaint dte[protected] in your service provider mr Tiwari his mobil no. [protected] but is not response for the service & he is also misbehave with the customer thereafter i have registered the complaint in customer care dt on[protected] Mr Rajat (customer care Executive ) he is given to me complaint no[protected] & he is esure me service will be provide immediatly within 24 hours , but no service will be provide by your service provider till so far .

                  Kindly provide service immediatly , otherwise i will go to the competant court of law.

                    Water dripping heavily from different places of the internal unit of the 2 tonne split.
                    This happened right from the time the unit was installed in my bedroom and the concerned technicians are aware about it. And when I had asked him to set things right and then leave, he said he has too much of work load to do my job and he would only return after a couple of days. This happened almost two months back.

                    Bhubaneswar is having day temperature of about 43 degrees now. And despite repeated phone calls no body has turned up.

                    Don't you think that I have shown enough patience and it is time for some legal action?

                      We bought an AC of HITACHI 1.2 Ton Followme on Friday 09.04.10 and installed on 11.04.10 sunday.after installation ac did not work properly.The technical team of Hitachi M.E.Enterprises came in the evening that day and detected faulty installation with pipe burst and gas leak.we have not used the ac for a minute and these problems arised from the day one.Now they are unwilling to exchange the ac and have taken 7 days time to repair it.Really bad service of Hitachi.i demand them to exchange with a new one.they r not respoding well also.

                        I have an hitachi window A/C which is currently under warranty and is making some strange noise when compressor is on.

                        I tried to call the toll free number :[protected].

                        but this number is useless in the sense that it disconnects within 50-60 seconds even if one is talking to the customer care executive or on hold to be connected. I think there is some serious flaw in the system here as this is not one of incidents, I have been trying for quite some time now but every time it disconnects in middle of the call (max 57 secs)

                        Please note that this is not the first time this is happening, I have couple of more Hitachi ACs and whenever there is an problem with it there is no customer support from Hitachi.

                        In one instance, Gas in one of my ACs had leaked after logging complaint, It took 2 months time for the service executive to visit my place. By then I had given up hope and had resorted to a local service center (obiviously not authorised by Hitachi but gave prompt servce)

                        I was hestitance in buying another Hitachi product this time around but the showroom ensured that the service had improved a lot and they are providing prompt service. What prompt service can i expect if the customer care number doesnt work.

                        We bought 1.2 tn Ace Cut Our Split airconditioners ( 2 units ) during April 2009, vide Invoice no 9 dt 18th April 2009, which are installed at 243/241, Sobha Onyx, Near Agara Circle, Sarjapur Ring road, Bangalore. I'm wondering . Repeated Efforts for free Services / inspection ( Due within six months from date of purchase ) with franchisee M/s Concorde Aircoditioning System, Banglore & Hitachi Life Solutions through online cmplaints / mail follow up are failing miserably in getting appropriate response even after more than a year of purchase.
                        I have a Hitachi Split A/C (5star rated) 1.5 ton. With in 1 month its PCB and two more components were burnt out. In Mumbai (TATA Supply) there is no flactuation. The service engineer came after 3 days and without parts. Post his visit he took another 2 days to fix it. The job quality is so poor that the outdoor unit cover has not been fixed properly. In monsoons water is seeping into the machine. All calls are falling on deaf years.

                        Avoid buying Hitachi A/C

                          I had bought Hitachi AC on 5th May , 2009 ( Model No R-531SUMD )
                          I had booked a complaint for the first free service on 20th March , 2010 at toll free Number [protected]( Complaint Number[protected] and was promissed that complaint would be attended in the next 48 hours
                          After that i had a talk with Nikhil on the same number on 30th March
                          After that i had left my name and number more then 3 times

                          Then i had got number of Hitachi South Delhi and i had a talk with Mr Joshi at[protected] and he gave me number of Mr Hari Singh for Gurgaon service ( [protected] ) . Mr Hari Singh denied that he looks after Gurgaon

                          I need your support to get my service done
                          Its not that i cannot afford it outside Hitachi but i thought this is the brand i should associste with and had very high expectation

                          Your immediate intervention would be highly appreciated

                            I PURCHASED 1.2 T SPLIT AC IN MAY 2009.NOW WHEN I CALLED SERVICE ENGINEER FOR SERVICING, HE TOLD THERE IS NO GAS IN AC.                               On 20, May 2009, I brought a Hitachi 2.0 Tr ACE cut out SAC, via your authorised dealer M/S Golden Refrigeration Co of 22, Kalakar Street, Kolkata – 700007 which has been installed at my commercial bureau at 44/1, Sir Hariram Goenka Street, Kolkata – 700 007.
                              Unfortunately, your said product has not performed well from the very first day of its installation. I am disappointed because since its installation several complaints has been lodged before your aforesaid authorised dealer, consistently a new technician explains me a new problem, they in spite of analysing the definite problem, simply clean the machine and recondition them. The Technicians are so unprofessional and untrained that they don’t know the basic communication and operational etiquette. Finally after waiting for the long period of 10 months I put forward my complaint before your customer care unit, the complaint number being[protected]. Whenever I called them to know the status to the complaint, I was always asked to be patience. In short every time there is a sound of cooperation but ultimately the result is nil. The present condition of the machine is that it is in a shut down mode.
                              The warrant attached to the product as an after sale service to the valued customer seems inadequate as there is no concrete movement undertaken by your renowned authorised dealer M/S Golden Refrigeration Co. Their Manager, Receptionist and other official are incapable of providing proper guidance to their customers. The biggest bundler I have seen is that the technician of the dealer while taking in his possession the outer unit for ‘repairing purpose in the workshop’ ask me to approve the road challan specifying that ‘I had received a new compressor and the machine has been properly installed’[Challan Enclosed].
                              HITACHI is such a famous brand name that one has an utmost belief in its product and service. I am also using several Air condition machines of yours in my several locations. And it has been the time when I am losing confidence in your company.
                              The only purpose of writing you this letter is to get the assurance whether the machine can be effectively repaired/replaced so that it can be put to use. And if such is not possible, I humbly request you to remove the unit from my place so that I may get position to install a new machine of some other renowned company. You can’t guess the business loss I had incurred out of it because on the one hand while the technician inspect the machine , my business working collapse again due to non performance of the machine the atmosphere becomes so incoherent that our customer runaway.
                              To resolve the problem, I would appreciate your to take fruitful steps as said above. For your perusal enclosing herewith the Xerox copy of road challans and service history chart as provided by the technician.

                                I purchased an Airconditioner of HITACHI Brand that of 2T Capacity on dated 28/03/2010.Right after the installation Airconditioner is not working an error code E1 is being displayed on the machine panel.I reported the same to the dealer SHEEBA ELECTRONICS,Tilak Nagar, New Delhi.After thar dealer registered a complaint in Hitachi for service engineer to check the unit against complaint number[protected] dated 29/03/2010.After a greate follow up engineer visited on 01/04/2010 and declared the control panel and remote defective.Immediatly I approched to the dealer and asked for the replacement of the full unit immediatly,For wich dealer agreed verbally and asked us time till Sunday 04/04/2010.Again engineer from hitachi visited to our place on dated 02/04/2010 to repair the panel and remote controller,for which we refused as I lost compleate confidence over this unit and asked him to replace the unit.Till today neither from dealer sine nor from company side I got any assurance and date of replacement of the unit.I do have Bill given by dealer and duly stamped and signed warraty card.

                                  We bought the Hitachi AC 1.5 ton, We have facing some issue in the ac but we tired in the local office as well as their customer care service number no body responding the call.

                                  After the sales nobody is coming for PM (preventive Maitenance)

                                    I bought 1.5 tonne window AC of Hitachi 3 years ago. Every year I am paying around 500/- for servicing it. This year I found that its gas has leaked and there is no colling. Service station people of Hitachi Garhwal Service station took 2500/- from me and fileld the gas. Moment it came back to my home, its auto cut off feature is not working. After checking they found that now its thermostat is faulty and asking me to pay 1800 more to repair.

                                    My issue is I bought 10000/- extra costly AC just because of Hitachi brand as it was supposed to be more durable and robust. But I am paying every year such hefty amount. There is no point buying Hitachi AC. Instead we should buy some other AC.

                                    I would like to know if something can be done against Hitachi as I am at a loss here.

                                      Refrigerator not cooling

                                      Worst ever suffering after buying a costly fridge worth Rs.36490/-. I bought a 3- door Hitachi fridge model no.R-S31SVND on 5th of May 2008. Not even 2 years have passed the fridge has been defective.Its cooling is absolutely irregular and the upper fresh food compartment stops cooling every 2 to 3 hrs. No food stays fresh for more than one day. Any food stuff kept in the upper compartment gets stale and stinks.Several complaints...

                                      i have purchased 2 hitachi cut off split A/C on 23 dec 2009 . The A/c machine is working fine about one A/c remote is consuming new battery in 2 weeks but the remote control of other a/c is working fine . i called up Hitachi`s customer care [protected] and registered the complaint[protected] regarding faulty remote control and they send a technician to collect the remote . tell now 20/03/10 they didn't replace the remote . when i call there call centre they will tell all kinds of fair tale to you about complaint . they even mimic customer slang to co worker will they are online with customer . every horrifying experience . i[censored] scold them for not replying or playing full around they will just hang up the phone call , which is like insulting CUSTOMER . some responsible must take sever action against this call centre executives for insulting customers
