I deeply regret to bring to your notice on the poor response from the service department of Hitach India. I would like to bring to your kind attention that we had raised a complaint April 4, 2011 with Request No : [protected] to rectify my brand new AC which is not giving cooling effect at this stage itself. And till date there has been no response or action on the same. I had already faced huge difficulty from the dealer side to get the same AC installed earlier. And now I face the difficulty in getting my complaint addressed promptly.

I don’t blame Hitachi Corporate Japan for I know their service is prompt. It is rather annoying to experience such worst response both from the dealer and the company in India. Inspite of sending several emails to the company id [protected]@hitachi-hli.com and [protected]@hitachi-hli.com, there is no action take as of now.

I would never recommend this brand to any one in India for the service in India is dead poor. Due to the language problem such matters become difficult to take it up to the Head office Japan.

I agree with this. Same here. My complaint # [protected] raised on 16th March is still not attended satisfactorily. There is not a single call from the service center team for rectifying the fault.
i would suggest you to take this up in the consumer court. I feel very bad when a brand like Hitachi has got so poor service in India. Things are taken for granted by the dealer and company personnels in India.
Is there any other named email id of HItachi India or corporate team?
The sad part is, as the corporate office being Japan, its very difficult to convey the complaint to them as they would not understand English and its all Japanese on their corporate site.
I am facing the same problem. My 2-ton auto-clean AC has been lying idle for 1.5 months and the dealer in Mumbai, Kings Electronics pays no heed to my complaints and follow-up. What did you do finally? Which email id did you write to and how did the problem get solved?

No cooling in refrigerator

Despite dozens of complaints, the problem is not rectified. Refrigerator is not having cooling within two months of its purchase. Please rectify defect or replace.

    Dear Sir!
    We bought a double door (390L) referigerator from Hitachi on 16.03.2011. To start with, I must submit that we kept waiting for company employee to visit us for installation but inspite of repeated requests through your customer care and the dealer, they turned after 07 days for the same. Presently, our newly purchased referigerator has stopped working of its own because of some electrical snag wef 23.04.2011. This time also, we approached the customer care (req no.[protected]), I was told that someone will visit and do the needful within 24 hours but no body has turned so far. We purchased this appliance based solely on Hitachi reputation and quality care but now I am feeling disgusted, cursing mu satrs and do not know what to do. I would really appreciate if something could be done in this regard. It is needless to write how important is this appliance in our households.

        We have new join in Hitachi at kadi at the date 18/04/2011 is this day We are completed our Training and after compeleted training at the date 19/04/2011 is our first day in company. we completed our B.B.A and now we are in Insulation Department in Company.20/04/2011 we get leave because we have to college for our degree certi. photo thats why we take permission for our supervisor. so supervisor say i have no problem u take permission for u r department incharge so we take permission from our our deparment incharge.now when i m going 21/04/2011 in company at that time the gate man say i have no required for u.because i have a more wprkers for work when i m complain and we want to meet manager they dont ans proper and say get out from here.when i m asking for our salary so they not ans proper.we have a major complain against your company policy and also contractor because they do not give 1 or 2 days salary to workers.now they dont ans proper.

        i hope u consider our complain and take action against the company policy and contractor.i m still waiting for your ans and i also want to know wht you take action against company.

          Surprised about the high amount of victims caused by electricity in Thailand?? Just got a new fridge from Hitachi and found an unearthed plug "standard" fitted. I'm sure that this isn't manufacturs' standard but this has been done locally because no Thai institute is checking the norms, IF there are any.

          Asking the sales-man in the shop I got as an answer that everything was with an eart-connection, missing the point of my question. To convince me he showed at the back that the compressor is connected with an earth-wire to the frame, so also with the cabinet, making the necessity for a proper earthed power-supply indespensable! Closing the discussion he added that the Thai authority accepted this execution (in written) and stipulated also that I have guarantee........

          After two weeks no answer from the manufacturer (HITACHI) whatsoever.

            dear sir,
            I had bought a 1.5 Ton twin motor Hitachi window AC.
            Its been 6 days that I have generated a request no. for installation of AC through the customer care service.
            Hitachi vouches that within 48 hrs a service is attended whereas in my case its just vice versa. Furthermore, the AC doesn't cool the room as the condensor coils(at the backside of AC) dont get hot. I think the compressor does not work or there is a leak in refrigerant in my brand new AC.
            First they provide a damaged AC and secondly give a pathetic customer service.
            I have called to their toll free no. of customer care at least 10 times a day in which they confirm my request ID & fakely promise that thay shall take the matter on priority.
            I am ruined and I dont know what to do with a brand new AC that doesn't work.
            plz help me at the earliest.

              I have got two 4 ton casette ac installed at my home in allahabad.
              The Ac is switched on an only the fan operates and not the compressor, the authorised dealer of hitachi was contacted but did not revert with my complaints. Now summers are at the zenith and the air conditioner is not working.Why should i buy a product of the company so big which cannot even provide full services?

                Respected Madam/ Sir,
                Im a customer of Hitachi. i had purchased hitachi 1 and half ton window AC in 2005. and with in 6 -8 months i had a problem in the swing motor. so i complained to the service center in Kotturpuram chennai. they came in as per my complaint and said the swing motor need to b replaced. i waited for so long and called them several time and many service for the same AC had done but nobody responded on the swing motor everytime they will end up tellind me that they will replace but till date ie April 16th 2011 no one had done anything about that. Mean while i wanted to buy an other AC for my kids room and ended up doing the same mistake of buying Hitachi 1 and half ton window AC. now that i'v been calling the same service center to come for a repair they keep telling that the service guy will turn up but end up NO. it is been 10 dayz that no one had come for the repair, and when i called them today they say that they havnt received any call so they will send the service guy on monday. Iam really tired of these people and im just thinking of calling a local electrician to fix the problem. im really fedup and tired of Hitachi's customer care service. i request you to kindly note a complaint on these people. thanking you. yours sincerely,

                  I have purchased Hitachi AC 1.5 tonnes on 4th April, 2011 from Big Bazar, Tarnaka. The product was delivered to us on 6th April, 2011. Technician reported on 8th April, 2011 for installation but did not give a demo nor was he customer friendly. The room doesn't get cooled, and the AC is not functioning. After repeated complaints too no response from the officials. I strongly recommend that the piece may be exchanged as soon as possible. Otherwise i may have to go to consumer forum and file a case regarding the defective piece being shipped to the customer.

                    We have purchased a Hitachi AC from Rhythm House Showroom in Noida, Sector-18 on 27th March, 2011 and it was told to us that it will be installed within 48 hrs. But till today i.e. 9th April there is no progress.
                    AC is lying at our house but Hitachi installation Employees are too busy in their personal work that they don't even bother to perform their duties.
                    Hitachi customer support and service is totally pathetic.
                    Please raise this issue to the higher authorities of the company and provide the resolution at [protected].

                      commplaint regarding of ac servie has been booked with hitachi call center no [protected] on dated 27th march but no response .again complaint has been booked on anothe call center no [protected] vide complaint no [protected]on dated 2nd april but no response.i think it is a harrasement from company side because they donot want to give the service to customer as told at the time of sales.

                        I bought a top-end Quadracool 1.5 Ton window AC from Hitachi in February 2006 and took a consumer durable loan from GE Money for the same. In August/ September 2010 the AC started to create a lot of irritating noise. When we complained to the local Hitachi Service Centre (Sheetal Aircon) in Ramesh Nagar, they visited, took a visit charge of around Rs. 300 and informed us that the compressor had become faulty and needed replacement. We tried to get them only to replace the same, and they demanded the original invoice/ proof of purchase. We showed the warranty card that came with the AC but it did not carry the invoice no. or a date of purchase.

                        Since we had shifted our home in 2007, we had probably misplaced the copy of invoice (original is retained by the financier - GE Money). We therefore tried to connect both with GE Money and the Dealer (Better Deals) and they had the following issues:

                        GE Money - They stopped their consumer finance business long back and had not retained any records
                        Dealer - Lost all historical records in the MCD sealing that happened within the period[protected]

                        I pleaded and knelt before the dealer to find a solution, and he then was somehow able to get the invoice number and agreed to authorize the warranty card that had come with the AC. He put a date (19-Feb-06), invoice # and his stamp. However this only could be accomplished by 10th March 2011. I then called Hitachi service centre to get the compressor replaced to which a team of field engineers investigated and confirmed that the compressor was faulty. They again took a visit charge of Rs. 330 and took a copy of warranty card along with them for onward processing.

                        I have now been following up since the field visit of 13th March 2011 and the Hitachi customer care, regional customer relations officer, kirti nagar service centre have all been woefully unresponsive to my requests. They unfairly claim that since the invoice date is 19th Feb 2006 and the recent visit date is 13th March the warranty stands cancelled (valid for only 5 years). But I had complained for the AC issues in Aug/ Sep 2010 (well within 5 years period) and it took this long to get the requisite documentation in place. I obviously did not use the AC in Nov-Feb timeframe when the whole Delhi was in cold shivers.

                        Hitachi sells its products at higher prices with a claim of long lasting products, warranties and great service. I think with my experience, I am convinced that this is one of the most pathetic home appliances brand in the world. They don't INSPIRE THE NEXT, they are only going to build an army of hating consumers like me and will surely INSIRE THE WORST. I will not leave it at this - I will start a blog against this brand, with spread facebook type awareness; I will protest through national dailies and will do whatever is available within my means to bring awareness among consumers about the actual service quality of this brand and expose the realities.

                        To Summarize - HITACHI IS A DISAPPOINTING BRAND THAT CANNOT HONOUR ITS OWN WARRANTIES - CHEATS OF FIRST ORDER

                          Kindly don’t rate your air conditioner as 5 star, in terms of service you guys don’t deserve to put even a single star.

                          What the hell is happening in terms of service team, who is taking care of the service team ????

                          Hitachi Air Conditioner — NOT ATTENDING THE COMPLAINT

                          My 03 year old Hitachi Window A/c is not cooling since last one week. I made a complaint to Natraj aircon,delhi on 20/06 /10. On same day one serviceman came and said your A/c is working OK and is not cooling because of high temperature.so, he suggested that you should pore water at regular interval in the A/c to keep the compressor of A/c cool. Isn't it ridiculous. I doubt They are doing this because they have Repaired my same A/c for Gas leakage one month back and it is in 03 month warranty period. More so they were adamant,rude and refusing to give me any thing in writing.
                          After this i made complaint at Hitachi helpline and also registered my complaint at web site through cusomer care form. But even after 04 days till now no one has attended my complaint neither Hitachi bother to answer my mail. today when i contacted at customer care they said your complaint has already been attended. Miracle ! They have attended and solve my complaint without my knowledge.
                          i don't know what to do? whom to approach. give me some guidelines .

                          Hitachi Airconditioner — not attending complaints

                          I made a request for servicing of Window Airconditioner (bought on 25.05.2010) on 30.04.2011.when I gave a reminder call on monday(02.05.2011) I was shoked to learn that my request has not been registerd although I was assured of service urgently. Any way I booked my request again on 02.05.2011 which has been given request no.[protected].However vtill date no one has responded or visited for the service requested.I made a complaint on the company website on the same day but there is no response so far.
                          We have made another complaint for low cooling for the same airconditioner on 04.05.2011 and the request no. given is [protected].However till date thre is no response.
                          In my view Hitachi has made it a policy not to respond to customer's reqouest which is very serious matter.
                          The company should make it clear when we are buying the products on the company's product reputation that no customer service shall be provided so tht we do't harbour any hope for it.
                          IS THERE ANY REMEDY OR REGULATION TO BRING TO BOOK SUCH COMPANYS.

                            HITACHI rectify the problem in the A/C and give me a sound sleep night.
                            I have the horrible experience o[censored]sing the Hitachi SPLIT AC-1.5T ACE FOLLOW ME-RAU018EQD which I purchased after going through their broucher which says that it’s silent ( low Noise ) , goes through 32 Reliability Tests. The a/c is not smooth and is giving some king of gas circulating noise which is felt more at night time for which I raised a complaint when my ac was on guarantee period by complaint by no.[protected] on[protected],[protected] on[protected], [protected] on[protected] . I paid Rs 2,000.00 as the charges for checking the sound. Even after visiting my premises for 4 times the technicians are confused where the sound is coming from ,they are not able to rectify the problem.,. I would like to tell the company that they cannot just misguide the consumers by providing the false information. When the installation was done the sound was coming from m the 1’st day for which I made the complaint to the dealer “ O degrees “ he says that the a/c is fine and the sound will be gone after regular usage of the a/c. after using the ac till now the sound has not gone . There is no response from the company side. I request the higher authorities of Hitachi to kindly address to the problem so that I can get a few hours of peaceful sleep in the night.

                              I had booked request for reinstallation of HITACHI AC at raipur on 16th March 2011 and till today nobody has attended our call. Since then everyday we are calling Hitachi Customer Care centre. The Call centre staff behave very rudely has if they are obliging us by attending our call. Smilar;y only once the person in raipur called us and he was also very rude in talking and said Hum dekhenge kab ana hai and till today they have not attended us. Sorry to say but I feel they are incompetent ,irresponsible and careless people. Please dont go for Hitachi at least in raipur.

                              I purhased a 1.5 ton split AC costing more than 35000 Re. three years back. After one year of working its remote didnot worked properly.Even after complaint it was not repaired properly. Now for 4 days it can not be switched on even by temporary switch. I have lodged complaint with the service centre (Ph. 4059946) and even requested Mr. Chandrakant Lulla properieter of C.K Marketing - the dealer for an early action as it is bedroom AC but for no avail. Company shuld urgently arrange for better personnel for providing services as the existing ones are neither sincere nor competent, yes they are rough and ill mannered.Presently it is strongly recomonded to refrain from buying Hitachi AC at least in Raipur

                                Hitachi Air Conditioner — REMOTE NOT WORKING

                                  I HAD LODGED A SERVICE REQUEST WITH HITACHI CUSTOMER CARE FOR SERVICE OF WINDOW SPLIT ON 19.3.2011 VIDE COMPLAINT NO. [protected] AND EVERY DAY CALLING UP CUSTOMER CARE I GOT THE REPLY THAT SOMEONE WILL BE ATTENDING. THIS COMPANY TAKES 7 DAYS AND EVEN THEN THEY CANNOT SERVISCE AN AC CUSTOMERS BE BEWARE OF HITACHI PRODUCTS AS THERE PRODUCT MAINTAINENCE SERVICES ARE NON EXISTENT

                                  I do agree with the pathetic Customer support from HITACHI ; I have bought a new launched 5 * AC, but they came after 4 days to install it .

                                  I have heard a lot about the Hitchi AC ; tht was the reason, we have purchased it. Now I think I have made a mistake, as I do not see any customer support from Hitachi Team.

                                  I do agrre that hitachi customer service is the poorest of all as i have never seen such a third class and frustrating service from any other company...
                                  i have launched a complain for servicing on 24th of april and till date they havent came for service. is this the way they are serving. Shame on you hitachi.

                                    We have purchased Hitachi projector CP-X417 on 09/04/2010 Inv no. 11079 from Megatronics Mysore, now we are facing VGA display problem in the projector.

                                    Complaint logged on to local service center & complaint no 14008 dated 14/02/11 and the projector has been delivered to service center on 17/02/11 ( because of service engineer not visited to our place ), till now the complaint is not yet solved.

                                    Also sent an email to [protected]@hitachi.co.in but no response.

                                    I think no one in hitachi cares for indian customers.

                                    Very bad consumer and warranty support, they wanted to charge me 15000 RS for a new power supply on a 30, 000 RS projector. Absurd. What make it more absurd is that they claim part cost is not covered. Absolutely unhelpful and worthless warranty. Do not but products from this company. Avoid at all cost.

                                        On 22nd Jan, 2011, our Hitachi refrigerator stopped functioning. Immediately we informed the dealer (CROMA, CBC Belapur) & Hitachi Service Center (Mumbai).

                                        Hitachi service engineer came on 29th January, after repeated calls made to service center.

                                        He said the compressor needed to be replaced (under warranty).

                                        After 2 days or so, service center informed us that we shall have to pay extra for refilling of gas (rs5500) & transport charges of gas kit to our home

                                        We spoke to the dealer about this & later we agreed (on 2nd Feb)

                                        Today, on 7th Feb 2011, service center informed us that they cannot repair the refrigerator at our home and will take it to their service center.

                                        We are under great inconvenience for last 17 days having to run the house without a fridge. The service center has failed to provide proper answers, leave aside proper service

                                        Kindly suggest what steps can we take now.
