I, had ordered “ Gorgeous pair of earrings “ with a free cocktail ring by the brand Sanskruti after watching the AD of Homeshop18 ( HS18 ) on TV dated[protected], while calling at [protected] . I opted for the C.O.D. for the order ( Total cost Inr 1068 including the cost of shipping as Inr 69 ). There was no order confirmation sms sent to me from HS18 . When I called up HS18 again after a day and a half, I was told that the order is in process and that the order confirmation along with the order ref. no. will be sent to me via sms on my mobile ( [protected] ) after its verification. However, no such sms was sent to me by HS18 . Rather, on[protected], a courier person from HS18 came to my residence along with the aforementioned ordered product around 5.30 p.m. in the evening . Just after 5 min. of his arrival I, then recd. a sms from HS18 that my order ref. no.[protected] has been dispatched and that I, should keep the cash Inr 1068 ready for the delivery of the order at my place . The order was however, taken, but when the box was opened, the earrings were found to be shabbily packed . Some of the earring set packaging were torn and the earrings itself were found to be strewn in the box itself.
Some earrings were also found to be damaged / defective ( parts coming out / twisted ) while their studs were spilled in the box. The order box did not contain the cocktail ring ( as also mentioned on the proforma pasted atop the order box ) . Some earring studs were found to be missing . I therefore lodged a complaint with HS18 for the defective, damaged and short supplied ordered product vide complaint ref. no.[protected] dated[protected] after reluctance strangely from HS18. The next day I recd a call from the complaint cell of HS[protected] . I was rather surprised at the tone and the attitude of a couple of persons who spoke to me un-apologetically and never took my complaint in the right earnest . They told me to pack the box securely and courier it to a place in Maharashtra .They made me felt that it was infact me who is a defaulter . I therefore, made a repeat complaint vide ref. no.[protected] dated[protected] at HS18 while also registering a strong objection to the behaviour and lackadaisical attitude of the persons who has spoken to me from the complaint cell .
I then recd. a call from one Kapil from[protected], who was told categorically that the resolution to my complaint is :
1.Apology letter from the owner of HS18 for whatever had transpired .
2. Immediate new and complete replacement of my order .
Also, that under no circumstance the old order box ( containing short supplied and defective ordered product ) will be couriered to HS18, but as soon as the above two points of resolution are complied, the HS18 person can take the old order box once he carries new and complete order box along with the apology letter from the owner of HS18 to my residence .
I, told that henceforth I will take no non- sense calls from HS18, to repeat the above ( including my resolution demand ).
Since the above HS18 has still not complied on the above but have resorted to vague calls just to kill time. I, therefore on Sunday[protected] at 12.42 hours ) spoke to one Ms. Harpeet at Hs18 ( [protected] ) and exhorted her to stop the vague calls from HS18 and again re-iterated my above mentioned two point resolution demand to my complaint. But despite that, disgustingly I, have again recd couple of vague calls and smses on my mobile today[protected] to contact HS18, so turn to your forum to get the desired resolution to my above complaint against HS18.

Complaint marked as Resolved AFTER MUCH PERSUASION HS18 CAME TO ITS SENSES AND COMPLETED THE SHORT SUPPLIED ITEM WHICH WAS ORDERED BY US . DUE TO REPEATED DEBACLES, HS18 APOLOGIZED FINALLY TO WHAT HAS TRANSPIRED ( OBVIOUSLY ON ACCOUNT OF PRESSURE BUILT UP FROM THE CONSUMER PORTAL COMPLAINTS ) ANS ALSO AS A GOODWILL GESTURE REIMBURSED THE ENTIRE AMOUNT PAID BY US WHILE ORDERING THE ITEM FROM HAS18,

Updated by RahulRDC HS18 have replaced the defective product today after much dilly-dally and procrastination, but have again duped us by supplying short supplied product ( obviously intentionally ) given the series of complaints lodged to HS18 . Also, the apology letter sought from the owner of HS18 for the fiasco in earlier supplying defective, damaged and short supplied product and then showing reluctance for its replacement for over 2 weeks, is also ( sought as a resolution too ) not given by HS18 to us . HS18 is certainly a dubious concern, which has no compunctions whatsoever in repeatedly cheating and troubling its clients . Should be blacklisted for sure .
