Dear Sir,
My card no is [protected].When the card was issued to me the bank told me it was free of cost.but after one year they charged me some annual fee i called to the customer care of HSBC BANK and ask them to cancel my card.they charged me 3300 as membership and annual charges.Also Every month they started to send me the charges with late fees. currently the amount is some arround 7000.Finally i called up for settlement and i settled the amount. Even i received the 0 balance statement from bank.But if go for another bank for personal loan they said your name is there in CIBEL database as settled and rejected my application.
HSBC customer care not reponding properly not accepted to remove the name from the CIBEL database.
Please help me how to get cleared form CIBEL database and receive the loads from other banks.
The main complaint is why the bank guys giving wrong commintment with customers saying that lifetime free and finally we are suffers with their wrong commitment.

    Sub: Cheating done by HSBC Credit Card Section

    Dear Sir,
    I hold 2 No. of Credit Card of HSBC No. [protected] and[protected]. Card No. [protected] Statement date 11th Oct. 2010 to 9th Nov. 2010, reflects an collection payment pick up fees of Rs.100 +10.30% service tax, the payment has been deposited by myself in HSBC Bank Pedder Road Branch drop box, why HSBC bank is charging for collection fees. After lodging an complain with phone banking and written complain to Avisekh Biswas, Managar, Customer Service, The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Ltd, Chennai. They have replied me vide there letter No.CCONO/AN/[protected] dated 10th December 2010, and states that as a service gesture, we have reversed collection payment pick up fee of INR 100 along with service tax. The credit will reflect in next statement. They din’t apologize for the mistake they had made.

    Card no.[protected] since last 3 month e.g. Nov, Dec, Jan 2011 they are charging me for collection payment pick up fess which I myself is personally dropping the payment cheque at HSBC Bank, Pedder Road Branch Drop Box. The bank are suppose levy this charge only when there representative come personally to customer to collect the payment after payment due date and issue an official receipt of the payment received to the customer with customer signature on the receipt.

    The Statement of 23rd Dec. 2010 to 23rd Jan. 2011 reflects cheque collection fees of Rs.100 + 10.30% Twice, which mean there representative had come and collected the card payment twice for same statement, if that is so they should refund me for double payment.

    I request and lodge a complaint against HSBC Credit Card Section, for cheating card holder in such a way. These kinds of cheating i[censored]n-notice lead innocent people bankrupt and encourage people to suicide. If HSBC Credit Card is charging me for collection payment pickup charge I challenge, let them prove with the acknowledgement slip along with my signature that I had made payment to there collection officers.

    I request to take a strong action against HSBC Credit Card Section, so that they don’t cheat the customer in future.

      All the above Credit Cards/Loans of one Mr.Gopalakrishnan Mahdevan Pillai are wrongly included in my Credit Information Report of CIBIL inspite of the necessary proof of my address/PAN Card submitted by me to CIBIL.

      The PAN Card No. shown in this report is AKEPG9841R.

      Because of the inaccurate report of CIBIL, my loan applications to various banks for an Education loan for my son were rejected by the banks and I am put ot untold mental agony.

      My repeated representations to the bank by mail/phone calls and personal visit to HSBC with all my proof did not yield any result and they still maintain that the information provided by them to CIBIL is correct.

      i had applied for the credit card and i didn't get it right now.When i make a call to hsbc customer care then they said that i will receive my card in 7 days.I make the call on 3-December and aplied for the card 2 onth ago.The Bank Associate said me while Applying for the card that i will recieve my card with in 13 working date,but now two months are over.

      Im Sekar and I have applied for a credit card on dec-12-2007 but still now I didn't received my credit card. once i called to the customer care they told that card has been sent but still haven't reached.

      whats the customer care is this. when we don't want of card they are calling up for 100 times and requesting for card but after appling no call about the status.

      Actually I except to get this credit card before christmas (2007) but you have spoiled my festival and happiness.

      HSBC — Status of credit card

      i apply HSBC credit card two months before, but till now the card has not received by me.

      It is really surprising that such a big company with so much of publicity on good services can do such a thing with one of its valued customer. I have been a customer of HSBC bank for the last 15 years and was provided with a Credit Card by the bank with a limit of Rs. 70, 000/- which I was using it quite satisfactorily for around 2 years. Then all of a sudden without assigning any reasons to me, it was deactivated by the bank. Inspite of being very regular in making the payments and without any outstanding, my card got deactivated. I immediately wrote online to HSBC Bank and made several phone calls to there customer care but got no response. At last I had to visit the Gariahat Branch (Kolkata) of HSBC personally and gave a written complaint about the same. However, I am still waiting for a Credit Card from the bank without which I have to face a lot of problems. Hope something could be done by this so called Bank with a difference.

      HSBC Credit Card — Didn't receive the card yet

      Hi,
      i had applied for a credit card in HSBC, in the month of April. I submitted all the required documents and got verification call also from chennai branch to my office on 25th April and to my personal number on 26th April saying verification call. Till now i din't recieve my card. I tried many times in "Track Ur Application" under the bank web site, but it says no record found and didn't recieve application.
      I am worried now, by using my details did some body else took the card and cheated me.

      Dont use HSBC credit card

      I got a Message from HSBC where they mentioned that
      My request has been approved management ref nu:[protected]. they approved Gold card, Next 3 day's got HSBC card. When i tried to use then it was not working. I called custome care they told card is cancelled. Why approved ? why Cancelled ?

After that I have received a call from chennai HSBC office they confim my adress & other details. now 9 August 2008 I also got a call from DTDC courier service they said we have your courier which is comes from HSBC.       Citibank — not getting pan card till date

      my name is ashwani kumar tiwari.i want pen card . till date i did not get the pen card.please send me my pen card as soon as possible.
      I am holding HSBC credit card since long time, using regularly for purchases and making regular payment with any delay. I am being charged with late fee and finance charges heavily on me. It is a big burden on regular user of credit cards. When ever I call to helpline the officer are not responding properly, just they denying of giving proper reply/answers. This is very serious matter. The credit card department has to take positive steps in the grievance of esteemed customers.
      I have never applied for Credit card and I have not received yet. But then also, I have received credit card statement.

      Kindly cancel my credit card if it is issued. Inform me on my e-mail address when you receive this complaint and also when you cancel the credit card.

      TOday I spoke to Citibank phone banking officer Mr. Shabeer J

      I have received Citibank Credit Card 2 years back without me signing any document, So the obvious thing would be that any information on the account would be incorrect.

      I never thought of canceling this card or even calling back customer care.

      TO me realization now all of a sudden I received a SMS for usage on my credit card of Rs 2000.

      Calling up customer care I was not able to verify my date of birth nor email address to receive soft copy and billing address as well is wrong.

      So basically I wasn't able to have a look of my card statement in hard copy format nor in soft copy format.

      I got other savings account with citibank which I was able to verify by still Citibank is not ready to help in any ways..

      Over to this Mr. Shabeer pushes blame over to customer stating its customer responsibility to call up customer care when he/she receives credit card without there notice. I ask isn't it citibank's responsibility to cross verify information submitted before sending credit card.

      What can I do to get this thing resolved...

      It's ridiculous, I am getting the credit card statement 2 days before the due date. Sometimes after the Due Date. What is this?
      It's Utter shame of your services. Why don't you people not sending it 15 days before?. I think u people wanted'ly doing this in order to make us a delay in the payment, as the intention of yours is that we will be not noticing or remembering it when is the due date for the payment or no track about it which will entertain u people to put the Late fee on us.       HSBC — Passport not received even after police verification

      I submitted my Passport on the 6th of October2008, file number-hydh00263008. The Police verification was done on the 9th of November. The official's name was Mr .Pandu Ranga Rao.I have not recived the passport till now(72 days).Please inform me how to proceed with this issue as I need my passport on an urgent basis, as i have to appear for my GRE exams which is scheduled on the 19th of this month.

      HSBC — Redumption of Reward Points

      Sir,
      I have redeemed some reward points in last October 2008 and I have received a reply on October 30, 2008 saying that my gifts would reach me within 2 weeks from the date of the letter. The Bank Reference Number is[protected]. But I have not yet received the items I have selected.
      I have made several phone calls to Telephone Number[protected] wwaisting my time with no positive results.

      the above mentioned policy no. was asigned to HSBC bank and dispatched by post where it got lost, HSBC DID NOT RECIVE IT no body in the branch is taking responsiblity i;e branch no 12G
      further a payment was due to me on 3/2008 the cheqe for the amount was made in favour of HSBC which HSBC returned as they do not have the policy with them.The branch manager has been writing to HSBC asking them to confirm in writing that they do not have the policy, which the bank refuses as they can not comment on document they have not recived.
      sir i am in a loop pls advise so that this can be sorted out and the money lying in the state account since march 2008 can be given to me, further the record with LIC should be corrected to my name.

      I bought last three years back citi credit card and i have used only one year, After the cheating from citibank i have stop using the citi credit card, I have made all the payments with the correspondent date what they mentioned in citi bank, One day i got the statement stating that i have to pay 350 rs for latepayment however i made all the payment and iam wondering why i have to pay the late fee amount, so i have called customer care and informed my status however they said you have to make the latepayment fee, So i have never used that card but iam getting the keep on statement from citibank, Now from 350 rs to they extend the late payment limit nearly 8 thousand and one day customer care people called me and asked to make the payment, I said i have all the proof and i have made my payment in respected date which is mentioned in the statement, So i have asked them to send the list of purchase what i made and i told i have also proof i will the send my billling information statement through fax to you, Still no reply and they are cheating, So please don't use credit cards not only citibank all the banking sector is playing a game with customers, Please be safe.
      I have the tendancy of paying of my Cre dit Card Balance in full every month. However i went through a phase where i was facing financial difficulties and i was unable to pay my Credit card and it all piled up. Then in the Month of Ju ly 2008 i recieved a call from (lady) citibank advisor offering me a "re-write" on my CC ( Credit card) where in an outstanding of about 17, 000 approx would be broken up in to 6 EMIs at a 0% intrest to help me pay ooff my CC. i agreed she a collection guy to collect the 6 PDC who bought 2 copies of a letter stating the details of the offer i signed 1 and gave it to the person and i kept a copy to my self.

      The 1st PDC was due on the 2 of August till the last one which was 2 of January 2009. None of the Checks have cleared and from what I have been informed by the advisors / managers at Citibank the 6 PDCs that i had issued have been misplaces. and hence non of the payments were made.

      It is an error on the part of Citibank that they lost the cheques . and since then the balance has gone up to Rs 25, 000 and i have wasted a lot on money on calling then and staying on the phone for hours only to find that there is no resolution. I have spoken to numerous managers requesting them to remove all the charges post July and they say that i would have to pay the entire outstanding if i wish to get the card re-activated.

      Is there any justice that can be done.

      I had taken loan from Citibank. I had missed two previous installment, Because i lost my job. Now they had send me a legal notice regarding payments. In the notice they threatened me to take legal action against me. I don't know what to do . I got a new job this month. I am confident

      I had two FREE HSBC Credit Cards. The cards are not in use. I was not aware that HSBC credit cards came with an insurance policy. I paid for some time and then realised that I had not signed any policy document that would entitle me to use the insurance policy in case of need. I terminated payment on the policy. This was two years ago.

      Since then I have been requesting HSBC to stop billing me for this. HSBC has not stopped billing me. The outstanding is now 600 times the amount that was originally unpaid.

      The insurance policy has lapsed. HSBC has continued to demand payment for it.

      Letters to HSBC have not produced any outcome. After promising to send someone to sort out the matter nobody has come. Instead call centre persons keep calling and it is useless talking to them.

      HSBC — Billing Complaint Card No. 4476 9299 8195 6862

      NAME: MRS. JANHAVI NIMISH KADAM. CARD NO.[protected]. Complaint: I am credit cardholder of HSBC bank since last 5 months. An executive of your bank telephoned viz. Mr. Ritesh to explain the benefit of TATA AIG policy. He told me that he will send the form for my scrutiny. I specifically told him that I will go through the scheme and I will call you back. As I was not interested, I did not respond him. I learnt from the statement of credit card that the TATA AIG policy was started without my approval. I contacted the different executives at different times. None was co-operative and informed me to pay the charges immediately. The bank also charged me late payment fees. In the meantime, I contacted TATA AIG to cancel the policy which was done by them and told me to go back to you for waiver of charges. Today also talked to MR. Farhan and Meghna. Mr Farhan after listening my complaint kept the phone and ran away. Being a private bank, this is a kind of service rendered to the customers like me. What a shame? None of the executive was co-operative and insisted me to pay the amount for no fault of mine. I, therefore, request the competent authority to reverse all charges levied to me and cancel the card immediately failing which I have no alternative to go to Police and Consumer Court for redressal of my complaint. Please note that I will not pay the charges under any circumstances. It should be recovered from Mr. Ritesh and other staff members connected therewith.

      HSBC Credit Cards — emi details of personal loan

      in january i recived a call from hsbc personal loan department that you will selected for personal loan amount rupees 130000/ and you have to pay in easy emi which will send along with that cheque by post.after 10 days i got hsbc cheque and i deposited in my andhrabank account and it was cleared after 15days.but they they have not send the details of emi's so far and they have blocked the hsbc card after giving notice.and in hsbc branch of hyderabad no person is there to guide us how to pay the emi's or how to solve the problem when iam ready to pay the amount.hsbc watchmens are there they only shows the hotline phones and that phones also always busy and some times it no use. please put some eligible person who knows about these problems in hsbc hyderabad branch.

      I am really unsatisfied with the services from CITIBANK.Please take a note of the issues that a bank like yours can even have.

      1.The credit card issued to me was sent to my address without even letting me know. This is a Shopper’s Stop card and the information were collected from Shoppers stop. Neither had I filled up a form nor had I signed on any documents of the bank.

      2.After using the card for long three years today when I have a problem the Bank people inform me that in their system my gender is incorrect so they cant help me out. Firstly I have to get my identity changed and then only they will look into this matter.

      3.The bank staff are themselves not sure of certain issues.

      4.Now the real problem. I had used the card at Metro Cash & Carry in the month of December, I am not quite sure of the date (But according to your bill dated 28/12/08, the transaction was made on 27/12/08) of an amount of Rs.2991 with reference Number 2588925. In the same bill I find a transaction on 15/12/08 stating EMI Transaction.
      How can a bank start an EMI without the customer’s Signature and Consent? What EMI are we talking about; being the cardholder I myself am not aware of it
      I had paid the bill in full by the due date an amount of Rs.3095 on 07/01/09.

      Again when I receive the bill dated 26/01/09 I find yet another transaction on 25/01/09 from Metro Cash & Carry for the same amount of Rs.2991 and also with the same reference Number[protected]. When the bill for the last month was cleared how could the bank charge me again?
      Can the bank provide me a Charge sheet for the transaction done on 25/01/09 with my signature on it?

      5.Today when I speak with the Citibank People they inform me that the merchant had converted my transaction into EMI and they have no clarifications to it. They were also not ready to speak to me since there was a gender mismatch.

      After paying the bill how can I have a due or why do I need an EMI?

      How can a bank convert a transaction into EMI without my permission? I have the capacity to pay all my bills before due date with cash then why should I take an EMI.
      Even in that month the bill was cleared before due date.

      Looking at the present scenario I feel really disgusted to even have a relationship with such a Bank.
      This is just a FRAUD and this Bank is cheating the Common People of INDIA.
      According to the guidelines of the RBI the credit card companies cannot charge Interest over A fixed rate of interest but this bank charges some thing abnormally high.

      I will not make any transactions or payments in this card unless and until all the issues are resolved.

      Hi,

      If you use a card in METRO, then it's a compulsary 2 EMI option. I know citibank might not be a very customer friendly bank but in this case it's becoz of the scheme from Metro.
      1) they allow only citibank credit card
      2) compulsary 2 emi option (this is also informed by their sales person when you produce a credit card)

      HSBC — Harrasement through recovery agent

      Dear Sir,



      I am Pravin Jachak, having loan account no[protected] in your bank from last two and half year.



      Due to job problem I am suffering from the financial crisis from last seven months. But still I am maintaining my account with clear intention.



      My current month EMI is overdue. I am getting 5 to 6 calls per day from recovery agents.



      I told them that payment in this month is not possible for me. I will pay both emi on or before 12/04/2009. But still they are constantly harassing using rash lanhuage.



      One of them asked me that “Tere gharaka saman rahega kya?, Gharape aadmi bithake rakhega to barobar payment karega.”



      I am afraid, What to do for this?

      HSBC — Phone Harassment

      I have been receiving irrelevant calls from HSBC Bank on a daily basis. They call for credit card payments for different people. It seems that their system has incorrectly mapped my number to many people in their system. In spite of repeatedly informing them about this error they are not clearing up this mess and I end up getting on an average 10 calls a day from them.

      HSBC — Non-Receipt of my Pan Card

      I am a customer of Citibank, and I am holding a debit card and credit card of this bank for last five years but I did not use debit card last one year and never used credit card to purchase any think, only I got loan of one Lakh on this card from Citibank last three year ago. I am paying EMI every month but due to some delay to getting my salary since last four five months before I pay EMI a little delay at least 15 to 20 days.

      Due to this little delay Citibank puts on big penalty on me every month. I requested so many times to Citibank executive that please change my bill generated date or don’t make penalty charge for a little delay but they refuse clearly with misbehave. And many times I said to discontinue my debit account but they did not do it and charging Rs 275 every months while I do not use this card last one year.

      In start Citibank executive call me and offer for loan with very convening and politely way, and said no extra charge will be taken with you instead off your EMI only. But now they harass to me. Please help me.

      It has been alomost 5 years that i closed down my credit card- acct no- [protected] pos the final settlement amount of 26000/- sometime in 2004.

      Same year I got transferred and now I no more live in Indore.
      I have received a call from citibank customer care/credit card function last week and as per them my outstanding is around 1.5 lacs. ( I am surprised and shocked). I told them that I made the last final settlement amount of 26000/- but still they are now continuing with threatning calls.
      Why would I make the payment of 26000/- ( one time) had it not been the final settlement?

      After 5 years of long gap citibank people are calling me to make 1.5 lacs payment and leaving me with no clue as to why am I asked to make the payment after the closure?

      i wrote a mail to customer care citibank but they have not responded.

      I request you to pl look into this matter and help me resolve the concern raised. I am sure that the complaint would be dealt fairly and speedily.

      All communication and banking was done in Kolkata.

      The credit card [protected] was sent to Hyderabad address 15 days before my existing card would get expired and was handed over to unidentified person. After the person received it the person used the CC to the tune of Rs.9250.73

      When I logged in to check my account I was surprised to see the debit of Rs. 9250.73 from CC.

      Before I moved to Kolkata in October 2007 I sold my Flat in Hyderabad and I had cleared the full amount of CC by logging into my account through net banking, the transaction was done from my saving account to credit CC.

      I had no CC. dues. FYI prior to that I had the auto debit instruction to my saving account to debit min. due amount towards CC,

      I hold the CC account close to three and half years.

      My question to the investigating dep.

      Why will a customer dupe a CC after three and half years after having cleared the CC dues and standing instruction for three years to the bank on clearing the min due payment towards the CC

      When I get my debit card in Kolkata why was the CC sent to Hyderabad?

      Why was it delivered to unidentified person?

      Why did not the courier person check the photo ID proof just to confirm that the CC was getting delivered to the right person

      If the customer has to dupe the CC why after clearing the CC dues fully and why spending half the amount and calling HSBC to block the card.

      I never received the card so I never lost anything how will I Lodge a complaint at the local police station.

      After I changed my correspondence address through net banking and calling customer service why was the card delivered to Hyderabad.

      I sent the dispute forms thrice to HSBC just to hear “Customer is liable to pay”.

      After my savings account got freeze due to CC dues and a yearlong case on the CC I lost this battle being a genuine customer of the bank and justifying myself. I would say “not only The Bank made the customer Liable to pay the amount for which he is not liable but also made him guilty in duping the CC.

      As my savings account is freeze due to CC dues I am bound to settle this CC account.

      There are bills to clear every month through HSBC which is effecting due to freeze of my savings account

      I have been calling Indore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata no HSBC department or person has accountability to settle my CC account.

      This is how it goes

      Called up and mailed customer service they give me the number[protected] to contact the local office.

Agrees to settle the account at Rs.3000, I redial the number and had got lot of excuses that they would call me when few official work is done on my account.       Now I get a call from Hyderabad[protected] ready to settle the account at Rs. 4000 I agreed, my priority is to activate my saving account. Did not get a call from them yet after discusssing about the settlement.

      What I see today is Rs. 5970 which was left in my savings account has been debited towards CC.

      Will I get justice even If I make myself guilty as I agreed to settle my CC account

      HSBC — Closure of bank account

      Dear Sir/Madam,

      I closed my savings account #[protected] with HSBC Ultadanga y submitting their branch at Ultadanga, Kolkata and surrendered my debit card which was the only thing that I was carrying from the bank. The officer told me that the money will be sent to my correspondence address by mail.

      When the money did not come after 1 month, I contacted them and they said that the credit cards linked with the bank account need to be delinked. After I did that they are now teling me that I need t visit their branch and close the account again.

      Please advise.
      These do the some to all its customers. I was also promised by the agent that the card issued will be life time free. However after 1 yr they charged annual fee of Rs 2000. I had to call them up and reverse the charges. Again this year, they charged Rs 2000, but reversed it at the same time, but added another Rs 1000 and taxes in the bill. I had to again call them up and reverse it this time, that too after 2 or 3 long calls, where they force us to listen their advertisement at our expense. Their customer care calls are not free!!! HSBC is fraud!!!

      Since last 20 months I have not received any credit card statement from HSBC Bank. Though I was making payment on the basis of sms and phone calls made by HSBC. Now I will not make any payment unless I receive and found satisfactory all the statements. I am receiving bothering and harassing calls at odd hours from HSBC executives.
      I have been a HSBC credit card customer for the past 5 years, I recently received my credit card statement of 11th May to 9th June and I have been charged a additional card member fee of 350 and then a discount of 204 has been also included, but I DO NOT POSSES A ADDITIONAL CARD and they have charged me membership fee now for the card which was given to me saying that it is life time free card...I think is very unfair because all my other credit cards are free membership. HSBC should understand that all these kind of activities are going to give the bank a bad name, I have already called the phone banking person and have told them to cancel my card, but they say i am supposed to pay the full amount first and then go for a cancellation...Anyway, I am going to do just that, because I feel it is better to settle these than having to do business with these frauds...
      I am senior citizen and have suffered two heart attacks in the recent pass. I am reguarly forced by phone to pay Rs. 34, 000 HSBC credit card against my payment of Rs. 2274. i have written to [protected]@hsbc.co.in in this regard, but they have mailed as below.

      HSBC — offered free card, and started charging anual fee from the next year onwards

      HSBC offered free credit card, at the end of first year (couple of years ago), they have charged annual fee, after calling and reporting the same, they have reverted back that fee and told that they will not do this again.
      Again after a year, they charged (a year back) annual fee, since I was not using this card due to first year annual fee charges, I was looking at the statement, and directly dumping into the dust bin. Second time also they charged the annual fee and when I saw it after 3 months they had added the interest and late fee and etc.. and increased that amount and it got doubled. When I called up the customer care via phone, this don't know what happened they have reverted back only the annual and was expecting me to pay the interest and late fee that they have charged. When I said I have n't used why should I pay??? they didn't listen and kept on adding that and after a year now they have made that amount more then Rs. 10, 000/- and their recovery agents started calling now. When I called up customer care (phone line) they have told that the card is closed and they can't help it. And they referred to talk to Collection department, looks like this collection department is different then that of recovery agency, and then I called up collection department, looks like they also don't have the details. All they can say again call customer care. They don't have any email address using which one can communicate and get these issues sorted.
      Since HSBC itself don't have a clear picture, when I called up customer care, or collection department or when the recovery agent called, they all had one info which says that they are adding every month late fee and interest charges to the previous balance.

      HSBC — Hareshment by bank for non of my mistake

      After series of plea to the HSBC Customer care team and the HSBC dispute department to sort out a credit card dispute is in vain. The HSBC credit card that I was holding for last couple of years having Card number: 4384 XXXX XXXX XXXX. (Expired on 07/2008 )
      HSBC bank by endless call first forced me to go for a personnel loan, then levy EMI without receipt and credit of the value in my account in Nov 2007, later I refused to take the money they promised to waive off the EMI for that month and charge from next month, nothing happen, I continued to pay every month after getting assurance again and again. Bank erroneously levying the financial charges every month, I realize very late and stopped to pay, I was getting lot of calls and every time I was explain the facts to the caller, Almost I have explained more than 100 executives in this period, no any concrete action have been taken by the bank,
      During this period I have received some threatening call too, such regular call was intentially done to harass and compel to pay, although none of my mistake.
      Last month I have settled by paying the full and final negotiated value, now again I received their bill
      I really don’t know how to get rid of this cruel, mismanaged and fraudulent Bank.

      As per my June month statement my payment amount is 7, 783.69, i have made the payment on 02 May by using HDFC Netbankin

      but after two weeks the money is returned back stating wrong account ( the account is registerd as per the details given by HSBC )

      then i gave a cheque for the same amount... but from the day the cheque is cleared i am getting continuous missed call from HSBC.

      now as per the latest statement the outstanding is around 1700/- .

      my account and sort code, 402310/71482254. i have had a buisness account at the harlow branch for ten years. in 2004 my business went bust and i owed hsbc £60, 0000 on a overdraftv account. i have paid them back every penny with interest. when i finished paying them back there was a small direct debit that i had was left on the account, i had a small amount of funds left on the account, approx £160. because i did not realise that the direct debit was still being paid i gradually became overdrawn. the amount overdrawn was £45, to date hsbc want £1681.82 in interest and charges, i have refused to pay this as i think in grossly excessive. i have phoned and written to hsbc on many occasions but they insist that i pay this amount. ther is no way i will ever pay this. kevin green

      I was using a credit card issued by TIMESCARD through Citibank. The card was canceled as by Timesbank as they have now associated with Barclays bank.

      Thereafter without any request or application from my side, Citibank sent me an Indianoil Card ([protected]) which I have never used or activated till date. I have received several phone calls from citibank representatives and I have explained to them that I do not require the Petrol Card and also that I have not used the card on any occassion.

      Inspite of the above facts, I am constantly being reminded of some overdue payment.

      Now citibank has sent me a statement for some interest charge, late payment and service tax and have also threatened to damage my credit record by sending the details to the Credit Bureau IF I DO PAYMENT.

      I will be obliged if Citibank is restrained from sending unwarranted credit cards and also not ask for payments for services not used by persons to whom such cards are issued.

      HSBC — Marketing calls

      Please boycott all crdit cards from HSBC India. They are the most unprofessional lot when it comes to customer privacy I reveoved unnecessary marleting calls from them even after registering for" do not call" as well as getting assurance from their call centre twice that there won't be any further calls from the bank.

      Another issue is the lack of ethics and trust they show in their customers, They always promise call backs from seniors but they never call.

      See my complaint below. Any emails to their head- Rajneesh Bahl have heeded no responses. I guess they are just sitting on customer issues all the time.




      As per Clause "Protection of consumer right" clause of credit card operations:

      "The bank / NBFC shall be liable to compensate the complainant for the loss of his time, expenses, financial loss as well as for the harassment and mental anguish suffered by him for the fault of the bank and where the grievance has not been redressed in time."

      I hereby seek compensation from HSBC for the loss of my time, telephone expenses, financial loss as well as for the harassment and mental anguish suffered for the fault of the bank and where the grievance has not been redressed in time.

      I hereby also seek compenation for the breakage of trust by the bank since many committments were not kept to call me back for resolving my complaint.

      Finally, I need a personal verbal and written apology from "HSBC Head of India".

      On Oct 20th 2009, a call was made from HSBC Bank, Pune on my home landline number and they asked for me. Since I was in my office, they took my cell number from my family.

      Today i.e. Oct 22nd 2009, I was called by HSBC Bank, Pune [phone number [protected]] on my cell number. I was told by the calling lady that she is calling from HSBC bank and wants to speak to me regarding my HSBC Credit Card, which has dues of 60000/- [Sixty Thousand Rupees].

      I was surprised because I never had any kind of relationship with HSBC Bank in any way [Be is having account in the bank or using their credit card]. The most intresting part is, I never visited any branch of HSBC Bank in my life.

      When I stated this, the lady who called me asked for my D.O.B and other credentials [PAN Number etc], which I refused to share.

      She said that we have all the details in place and she would be calling me again.

      I am going to register the complain with the HSBC Bank & The Banking Ombudsman. I am not sure at this moment that how would it go. But I am ready to fight at all the levels because I am clean.

      If anyone from the HSBC Bank is reading this, he should take it up.

      HSBC — World's worst Bank to Bank with

      It all started with a cheap HSBC agent standing outside our Office campus requesting to enroll for a HSBC credit card with free lifetime membership and quick document processing. Somehow I got in to a serious conversation with the gentleman and agreed to submit a copy of my primary credit card statement. During the first yr of membership, I remember to have used the allotted card for few of my normal transactions. However as I remember after an yr or so when I got the statement with an annual renewal changes debited to me, I immediately paid of the current outstanding and send a request for cancellation of the card with immediate effect. I believe this was sometime between[protected]. In early 2009, all of a sudden I started receiving monthly card statement with annual renewal changes debited to me. Since I was travelling extensively during that time, I couldn’t really take out time to inquire about it and over a period of time I forgot about it as I was out of the country for a while. Once I came back in mid 2009, I came to know that my family members in my permanent address receive regular calls asking about my contact details. I got in touch with them and came to know that my case has been forwarded to some credit risk collection agent. I told them that I have closed the account long back and according to me there is no outstanding due to the bank against the above account and all outstanding reflecting against the account are pertains to the annual renewal charges and subsequent nonpayment service charges. They were asking me to provide proof of cancellation and I told them that I hold almost 20-25 cards including various promotional and loyalty membership cards and you can’t expect me to maintain document of all communication for past several years. These high pitch conversation continued for several months with various threatening calls to me and my family members and also expressing that my credit rating will go for a toss and it will have adverse impact on my credit worth and so on. Even after all this I refused to pay not because I can’t afford the outstanding due, I guess around 3-4K INR but because it was against my basic principles. Anyway finally these guys came up with a business proposition and said we will write-off outstanding if you pay a token money of Rs 500/- to settle the account. I thought life is already so busy and eventful, if by paying 500 bucks, I can gain some peace for me and my family, it’s worth it and agreed to settle the account. Finally the day came on Sept 17th 2009 when these guys send a representative to collect the cheque against an acknowledge receipt and a letter with the above reference no. The letter was written in a manner which will benefit nobody else except HSBC as if we (customer) don’t understand plain English and its implications. Anyway the consolation for me was that it says “Needless to state that hereafter the Credit Card Account relationship shall cease”. I thought this is the end of a worst relationship I had ever with any bank. However, the story didn’t end here. After almost a month or two, my parents started complaining to me that they are receiving threatening calls 5-6 times in a day from some HSBC agency asking for my contact details even though they should logically have my contact details in their record as they were directly communicating with me on my cell no during the last transactions. I don’t stay in my permanent address as my work location is different and I was helpless to see my father taking unnecessary tensions because of me who is 75+ and doctor has advised him not to take any exertion. I believe that calls were coming from phone no +[protected] and after several no response on the number I finally got someone responding to my call. When I spoke to them I was surprised beyond wit that they are still showing an outstanding against the account of now even bigger amount of around 5K and asking me to pay the amount immediately or face consequences. They even confirmed that they have received the last payment of Rs. 500/- however they have no record of the mutual settlement that we executed just two months back. I really don’t know which department approached me for settlement and which is this department who is asking me to pay the balance outstanding. These goes to proof that they have extremely poor internal processes and impact of such failed processes are bear by customer like us. Anyway I don’t know if this is the end of the story or not however I have shared the reference # of the settlement letter for them to update their own record. I plan to laminate this settlement letter and keep it along with my educational certificates. You never know, we may expect the unexpected from WORST BANK in the world.

      Redumption of points — Redumption of points.

      It is seen from the statement of Nov'09, 120 points were redeemed from my account. Let me know the reason for deducting from my account. I am a regular user and I never be a defaualter. Hope a reply will be highly appreciated.

      Today on 7th January 2010, I have been making many calls to HSBC credit card deptt. I wish to make full payment of outstanding dues on my credit card and wanted to know the exact amount to be paid. But each time I make a call and give my full credit card number, I get the response that my credit card number is wrong. I have checked my card number many times just to make sure. But the voice on the phone continues to repeat that my credit card number is wrong. I have no idea how this is happening. Please advise who I can talk to in this regard and explain things.

      Credit Card — Im Being Torchered For Loan I Never Took

      I recieved a call from from ABN-AMRO bank that if i wanted to take loan against my credit card. I neglected to take the loan. then after some time i recieved a message on my cell phone that bank is sending me bank draft of Rs 50,000 as a loan, then after some days courier arrived but i refused to take the same from the courier company distributor. Then about after a year i started recieving calls from bank that my loan outstanding is pending, then i said to company that i never took a loan, they told me that there is a 900 rs payment already made by someone to company which i never made. I asked a written documents from the bank but they never sent me anything, But they keep threatning me on phone that they will give this case to SIBIL. I am fed up of these calls and cant take it any more. Now i want to go to consumer court after this complaint. please help.

      HSBC — poor standards of service resulted in loss of money

      I have invested in mutual funds through HSBC Bank. Not only did they unwisely invest in non-performing funds they also did not bother to switch to other funds after I drew their attention. When you invest through HSBC there is no other way to approach the bank except through so-called relationship managers. In two years, four relationship managers who were handling my account changed. Instead of the bank keeping track of my investments and providing service I ended up keeping track of my funds as well as finding out who my existing relationship manager was. HSBC's standards of service are so poor and their customer care helpline is the best example. They take 15 to 20 minutes of your time to verify the caller's details and then simply say they dont have the numbers of names of the relationship managers handling your account. The standard reply in case you go through the trouble of sending a complaint via email is that the email has been forwarded to the relationship manager concerned and a reply can be expected in 5 working days. When in two years my invested amount was reduced to half, I decided to dispose them so that I could redeem whatever was remaining, HSBC simply stopped showing interest. I gave my request for redemption for one mutual fund on January 11, 2010. I do not keep track of the stock market much but a casual check on internet showed that the marked was good and I could dispose off the fund without much loss. However, HSBC did not forward nor process my request till January 27. When I took up the issue strongly with the relationship manager, he passed the buck to a junior colleague who claimed to have put the fund for redemption on the same day when the stock market fell by 410 points for the first time in six months and the fund i was trying to dispose off went down even further. However, even after three days HSBC could not inform me at what NAV my fund was sold and what is the amount I would receive. So much for their online systems etc etc. Even today when I called the relationship manager he could not tell me the correct NAV nor could he say when the redeemed funds would be credited to my account. HSBC calls itself the world's local bank. It truely is cheap and very local. I am putting my experience so that other citizens do not fall not the trap or make the mistake of investing through HSBC. I can assure you, not only will you lose your money but it can prove to be a vexing headache if you want your money back.

      I have used an HSBC credit card and it got expired in 31/12/2008, and i have last used my card in january 2008 and have converted the amount into 24 Months EMI, I have completed all my EMI, s In Time but there was some late payments due to the fact that my salary gets credited on 1st of every month and my due date falls on the same date so i ratherer missed to pay by 1st couple of times which resulted in attracting late payment fees
      Actual amout i swiped was for 10500 and i have converted it into 24 months EMI so with intrested it came to 15k odd

      HSBC — Credit Card payment

      Hi,

      I made the payment on my HSBC Credit bill on time, by dropping the cheaque in one of the skyboxes for the May-09 month bill. However, the Bank officials claimed that the recived the payment two days late. There were two public holidays in the week of the due-date, which might have caused the delay in clearing. I tried to make them understand but they didn't and started accumulating late payment charges every month to the pervious months outstanding (late payment charge leveied earlier). When I refused to pay, they started calling and harrasiing me. I decided to end it by setteling the account and called up the recovery guys. They said pay us Rs. 4200 and we shall settle the account. I paid the same in the month of Dec-09 and got the recipt for the same. I though I had settled the account, but to my horror, the HSBC collection centre people again started calling claiming that Rs. 4200 was used to partly settle the account and that the accout has not been fully settled as I do not have the full and final settlement copy with me and started demading Rs. 6000 more. Currently the demand has reached Rs. 12,000. I trusted their people by paying the amount with the assurance that I will get the full and final settlemtn copy in a weeks time.

      I am clear that I will not pay these thugs and istead am planning to appraoch the cosumer court.

      this will again become a data for some agencies like CIBIL India.

      Having over 1000 complaints against a bank with no resolution on a purticular website itself explain that there is no act for the people being cheated by bank like HSBC & HDFC.

      The Financial institutions are making fool to indian by giving explaining them their rules & regulations...& what they actually adapt.

      Dear Sir,
      I am your customer of credit card number [protected] for a long period. You can check your records also that I was never defaulter in payments.
      On 2nd May 2010 I used the card on internet to book 2 Air tickets from Delhi to Mumbai through Yatra.com vide reference # [protected] for Rs 10666. Until that period there was no issue and everything was perfect.
      On 8th May 2010 I tried to book 2 Air tickets from Mumbai for Delhi. In spite of so many attempts my card could not go through the payment gateway. I was not having any money to buy air tickets from Mumbai to Delhi and my card was not working. I have to Beg the money and somehow reached Delhi on 8th May 2010.
      On 9th May 2010, I again tried to book Air tickets from Delhi to Mumbai but I faced the same problem as card was not going up to payment gateway. Then I complained this matter on phone to your customers care no’s on 9th may 2010. They said that there is no problem on my card and try again. After getting the advice of your customer care office, I again tried so many times to book the ticket on internet but I was not successful. Then again I called your customer care no’s and explained my problem. He confirm that there is no such problem on my card. Then he gave me an email address of customer care of Citibank to mail my problem and will get the answer in 2 or 3 days which I did on 9th May 2010. When I was trying to book 1 Air ticket from Delhi to Mumbai on 9th May 2010 Jetlite Airways came to know that we are trying to book ticket but unable to go through. They called me and took my card number expiry date and CVC and booked the ticket offline for Rs 3180. The reference number of this transaction is [protected].
      On 10th May 2010, I was shocked to get an email from customer care department of Citi bank that I have not used the card on internet for more than 180 days so my password (PIN) has got expired and they advice me to go through certain steps to get back the password. This email of customer care is totally false, wrong and without facts. When I booked an Air ticket only 8 days ago through internet vide reference no [protected] and they are saying I have not used my card on internet for more then 180 days.
      After going through this agony, pain, shame on 8th May 2010 to beg money to buy Air tickets and getting this false, wrong answer from customer care, I stopped paying the installments with the purpose that somebody from the bank will approach me and then I can explain the situation to the executive.
      For 4 months some collecting agent’s man visited my place. I explained them the situation and they promise me that they will resolve my matter.
      Then on 17th September 2010 one Mr Sailash Pandey mobile number ([protected]) came to my office and understand the whole matter. But he never come back with any solution.
      My only contention is that my card should be revived and status quo should be maintained as on May 2010. This is 100 % bank’s fault and they are not solving my problem instead by sending collecting agent’s at my residence and office to harass me.
      Please take it a note that if you try to put this overdue amount (Due to your fault) to CIBIL or any other credit rating agency, I will take bank as well as CIBIL to court of Law and even file criminal case of defamation against the bank officials. Resolve my matter and start banking with me.

      i have paid sum of rs 15000/- towards settlement of credit card due as per their letter 27.08.2003. but till now i have not received the NOC FROM BANK.. Please send the same.

      HSBC — Arbitrary reduction in limit

      I am using hsbc platinum international card for last 6-7 years and never failed in payments most of my purchases was through this card only till last year. My limit was 275000 and on 6 th December i confirmed that i can use the card on my personal visit to Dubai with this limit .But when i purchased few high value items and paid through this card approval was not given i was humiliated and ashamed in presence of large no of indian and foreign tourists.Immediately i contacted hsbc Mumbai office and inquired about non approval . I was told that my limit has been reduced from 275000 to 24000 only. In spite of my repeated request my transaction was not approved.I have imformed them that i have not recived any message after 6 december (when i talked on telephone ) about reduction in limit .
      I request everyone not to use hsbc credit card . t
      i hope necessary action will be taken by government authorities agains hsbc.

        I had an HSBC Gold credit card (Card no. [protected]) which got expired in 02/09.

        During the time of expiry I was having 0 outstanding balance in the card.

        After that I never got any statement via email or post.

        Now on 02-Feb this month I got a call from customer care asking me to pay Rs 8000+ on that card. And he was not able to clearly say on what basis I'm supposed to pay.

        Again today I got a call from some other person from number :[protected] Claiming to be some manager and he started threatening me that I must pay this immediately otherwise they will block all my accounts etc.

        Please let me know what should I do.

          I was holding a credit card of HSBC No. [protected],which was surrendered due to poor service & financial charges despite the fact payments were made in time.Full & final payment was made on dated 30 May’10 wide letter no.FFS/CPD/NWOFF/NDH/MC/SERCO/26052010/35,letter was given to me with an assurance that it is full & final sattlement.I was also assured by the concerned person that I will receive letter of clearance within 90 days but it has been more than 7 months,I have neither received my clearance letter & I am receiving statements with additional interest,I have requested HSBC franchises to issue clearance letter but they are trying to extort more money..

          HSBC Credit Card — Regarding unsatisfactory answer

          I am holding your Credit card no [protected]. HSBC Bank charged finance charge & service tax of rupees 1713.09 & 211.74. But anyone from the HSBC Bank is not telling me about this charges.

          When i visited the HSBC Bank(sec-18 noida Branch) no one was there, ready to give the answer of queries. Every time they told me you confirm everything from phone Banking.

          So I totally confused regarding to pay the bill, he was saying that i have to call the customer care for further clarification,but they are also not giving me any satisfactory answer.Even Bank employees is not giving me satisfactory answer.

          i was holding a hsbc credit card & settled the amount fully & the card also expired last year. but all of a sudden i got a statement showing outstanding(this march or feb). i tried calling up the customer care nos but no one is giving me the correct details.i dint get any credit card from the bank. then i asked them to freeze the card. the best part is i dont know the new card number. i dont have any complaint no also.

          i dont know what to do?? will anyone pls let me know what to be done??

            This is regarding my HSBC Gold Credit Card bearing no. [protected].

            I am being harrassed by the billing section of the bank continuously from last one year. Once there was a delay in payment of my bill by few days and the bank had charged me interest on it. Since this was one off kind of delay case I requested the bank to reverse the interest as I had been paying my bills on or before due dates regularly in general. The bank customer officer was so arrogant that he straight a way refused to reverse it. On this experience I asked them to just discontinue my card immediately.

            Since then the bank has been showing accumulated dues from me which is nothing but interest on late interest may be from last one year. I do not have anything payable to the bank on account of purchases as I have cleared all dues.

            The bank people were irritating me by calling 5-6 times a day when I was in the hospital during June to July 2010 for my brother who was suffering from cancer. I called the customer care of the bank to stop harassing me like this especially when I was tied up in some serious issues, but the bank people did not have any mercy they continued to harrasse me. Now they have gone to such an extent that they have started calling me on my office landline no. They even told my subordinates about the outstanding dues on my card. This is toally disgusting. I called the consumer care no. of the bank but of no help.

            I request you to register my complaint against the bank and kindly help resolve this.

              I am a classic card holder of HSBC right now it is blocked.

              I had received call HSBC representative regarding balance transfer facility at 0% interest for 3 months, wihtout any additional / hidden charges. He didn't informed me that HSBC will apply finance charges if I use credit card in this period i.e. 3 months

              I have availed balace transfer facility in Jun'2008 for 3 months and also used credit card in June, July'2008. For the useage of Credit Card they had charged me finance charges.

              I have paid credit card used amount alongwith balance transfer amount on time (on or before due date) in each month. At any point of time I have not exceeded my credit limt (blanace transfer amount + credit card used amount). Cleared all balance transfer amount with in 3 months except finance charges. I have not used card after Oct'2008.

              I had communicated the same to HSBC, but they denied to remove the finance charges and sending me the statements every month with adding finance charges for every month. Now 2.6 months are over and amount has reached to 10000/- approximately.

              Kindly suggest me what action shoud take on this.

Below is the problem faced by us using the HSBC credit card .My Husband is in dubai and they are harassing by telling my husband that his visa will be cancelled and they will call the cop.                 I am getting harassment calls from some HSBC employees belonging to Credit card department saying that I hold the credit card 4384-XXXX-XXXX-7096 and I have to refund the amount of 1, 58, 000Rs. Infact they visited my home and also harassed my friend. This Card does not belongs to me. We also approached customer care and of no use.

                  -I asked to cancel my renewal but HSBC did not.
                  -HSBC keep sending me bills at name of Anual fee / regular tariff.


                  My card no is 43845XXXXXXXX057. Before its renewal date I got a call HSBC's executive and he asked me to renew. I clearly said “I don’t need please cancel my cards renewal” after a month I got my credit card bill with charges of around INR1700+. And got so many calls from your office for the payment and I told the same thing to them, after they send me a new bill of payment around INR3000.which is actually not justify.

                  I am getting back to back calls at my place and in office from HSBC recovery department for the same, which is really make me feel harass,HSBC creating nonsense in my personal and professional life.

                  I need NOC (for no dues remain) from your company so I don’t find any other hassle in future for the same.

WHY DIDN'T CALL TO BRANCH COMPANY OFFICE NUMBER ? THE BANKER PASS THE PHONE TO CUSTOMER TO TALK WITH ANOTHER OFFICER, WHY SOMETIME NO RECORDED BY USING THE COMPANY PHONE TO MAKE OUT GOING CALL TO CUSTOMER OR OTHER BRANCH ? HOW IF CUSTOMER GET CHEATED FROM THE BANK BY STAFF MAKING TROUBLE ?                     I am Praphulla Jamnerkar. My HSBC Credit Card No is [protected].
                    I have some issues in my credit Card, I have cleared all legal payments of Rs. 80/- against HSBC Credit Card in 3rd Nov. 2008. Then also Bank forcefully block my card in 2008 without communicate with me.
                    Now the problem is Bank send me HSBC Credit Card statement on 12 June 2010 with late fee charges, I received call from HSBC on 19 Jan 2010, Bank asked me to pay Rs. 5000/- or Bank will inform your name to CIBIL, When I was communicate with Bank, the answer was "You have block your HSBC credit card but not close, and from 2009 the HSBC Credit Card was not free, so you have to pay annual charges." But I have not block my card, card blocked by bank in 2008.

                    Bank not communicate with me about annual charges before. Also I didn't received HSBC Credit Card statement from 2008 to June 2010.

                    Please help me out from this matter.

                      I'd a HSBC credit card [protected].

                      I'd some dispute with bank, and atter that I stopped payment. Few days back, a collection officer Reetu was following to me. She not left any kind of harrassment trick and after uncountable harrsement as well as threating calls from Reetu (Mob # [protected]), she promised to me that bank will issue me Full and Final Letter, If i pay Rs 10000 in one shot. She made me assured very well that after 5 to 7 days, Letter would be in my hands.

                      After her assurance and confirmation, I made payment on 29th Dec'10 through Cheque No. 269945. Payment collector officer (Jabbar Khan, Mob # [protected]) also wrote "Full and Final Payment received rs 10000/- by cheque" as instructed by Reetu.
                      Authorized Collection Firm Name : Waves Enterprises, A-828, 1st Flr, Near Hanuman Mandir, Shastri Nagar, ND-110052.

                      Now It's been more than 15 days gone and I'm still waiting for letter. Reetu is not responding my phone calls not giving any kind of status. When I contacted with Agent (Jabbar Khan) who collected the payment cheque, I came to know that bank has not approved settlement letter.

                      It's totally a fraud case where anybody becomes bank authority and torture to customers.

                      Kindly suggest me what action shoud take on this or how I'can get the same from bank.

                        This is for your kind consideration, I have never taken a HSBC Credit card nor any kind of account in HSBC, but past from 2 weeks i get a call stating that i have a credit card pending due to HSBC and they are telling that they will file a compliant against me, the information what they give to me is that is all false as they tell the Address is of chennai where i have never stayed else where apart from bangalore. The only proof what they have is Mobile no and even my name is not spelled properly they say it as N Naresh.

                        Kindly let me what i have to do regarding this.

                            I use HSBC savings account. I am provided with a security device to operate my account through online. The security code generated from that device is mandatory if you want to do transaction or send any request or complaint to the HSBC. If I have not accessed my online account for more than 10 days, the code generated from the security device becomes invalid. So I have to login using my secondary password. But I could not do any transactions. Because I need the device code to do so. When ever this situation happens, I need to call the phone banking or customer care to get the device reactivated or what ever it is... Why do HSBC do this ??

                              Hi,

                              I had a call 3 months back from HSBC for 24000 rs due to be paid over a credit card on my name .

                              They started calling me weekly and started harassing me on phone, i asked and mailed them to show the transactions and due amount.

                              To my surprice they gave me bills of the credit card that i had already settled in 2006.

                              My last transaction was of 1056 rs in Jan- feb 2006 .

                              My June 2006 -july2006 bill came as 2461.62 ( 1056 + late feesof few months ) .

                              I had paid full Rs 2461.62 and settled on phone.

                              Now , as i see from their mail , they have added all service charges and all to that card and summed upto 24000 rs .

                              I am daily harassed for this payment and told that i will not be able to get any other loans from any other banks.

                              Please help me as what i need to do.

                              They are totally cheating me.

                              HSBC Credit Card — Regular harrassment, even after settlement of cards

                              Dear,

                              This is with Ref to : BGE/DCA/FFS/NOW/0707161 FOR CC NO. - [protected]
                              And in Ref to :BGE/DCA/FFS/NOW/0707171 FOR CC NO. - [protected]

                              The abovementioned cards were settled for Rs 90000 and Rs 20000 respectively, in 6 monthly installments
                              All these cheques were issued every month. I have not received any calls regarding the first card, but for the second card i have been harrassed on a regular basis.

                              At first, I cooperated and faxed the settlement letter etc, which stopped calls for a few weeks. But the same is being repeated till date, and the persons calling have started abusing as well.

                              This one Mr Ankur called today 14th April around 1 pm and started arguing about the same case and accused me of not paying any money at all. On asking for written communication, he refused to the same. He stated his ID to be hsbc-cops[protected] which sounds fake). The number he had called from was[protected]

                              While talking to my lawyer regarding the same, he had called me repeatedly around 10 times. He refused to talk to my lawyer at first. When asked for written request for all that he needs, he has sent a mail from the belowmentioned ID just attaching my so called statement which has been due for 3 years, and the amount had more than doubled.

                              The following are the cheques issued for this settlement, and my bank statement shows all these cheques as cleared:

                                This morning I recieved 20 calls within 15 min from +[protected] & 30405000 and no one would speak finally on one of the calls someone came online saying that he is from HSBC bank and the computer system is having a problem and hence the number of calls. Then when I stopped responding to the calls which continued, I got a call from a person Identifying himself as Sanjay Miryala from Umag towers, Malad HSBC Bank and he ordered me to make an immediate payment.

                                I have not receieved any bill / statement for my credit card and I was being harassed to make payments. When I told him to send me a duplicate bill he said " You have made a transcation on the card so you must know that you have to pay the Bank, so make the payment now". and all this in a very agressive and rude tone. Then he called his Manager Shelly Chokhani on line who conveniently telles me that an executive will be sent to collect the payment and also hand over my bill to me for which they will charge me.

                                I requested for sending the statement via email / fax, etc to which they replied that they dont have any such option. Expecting me to make payments without sending me the bill and the inappropriate way of talking is absolutely not acceptable and I do not wish to continue with the card / Bank.

                                What are my options in this case? Please advise

                                  Dear Consumer Complaints Forum, This is a second complaint i am putting against HSBC. As mentioned earlier, I was being charged on Credit Statements amounts and was being forced to honor payments, where I was not even given a card. When i complained here, HSBC executive acknowledged their fault and rectified. Here again, for last one month, despite registering for Physical Statements on Credit Card, I have not been given the Physical copy. Even the email version doesnt work with Passwrd. In such a case, i have not received the statement in both the forms of the Card Statement that i am entitled to. Yet, the bank executives have ensured i get a harrowing experience by being called by Chennai call centre some 30 time in span of 5 mins. When i spoke to the executive, she confirmed that it was mistakeon HSBC part not to send the statement and they promised it wd be done with an executve this sunday (12th Dec 2010) between 4 pm to 7pm. On sunday morning at 10 am when i was out of the city, i get a call from executive, that he is busy and will come at 11 am. When i told him it was not pssible since i was out of the city, he disconnected and said he will see. Suddenly on Tuesday at 8 pm, the executive lands up at my residence and demands the cheque. He infact states when asked why he didnt turn up on Sunday at Promised time by bank, that "I WAS BUSY AND ON SUNDAY I DONT GET TIME TO DO COLLECTION". HE infact said that I HAVE TO COME DOWN AND GIVE HIM CHEQUE. Since i was alone at home, i refused and he then fought iwth my security guard, asking to let him in my flat. This morning, 15th Dec, when i was out of the city, again i got around 27 phone calls asking me to pay while acknowledging that bank will take action against the executive. I was again told that i wd have to pay asap. I have requested for sat 9 am as i have to go to a doctor for the whole day, yet they speciied that the person will come at their own convenience. When i questioned that why i am suffering for banks failure of not giving me a statement, iwas told THAT I HAVE TO FIRST PAY AND THEN ASK Questions. Can i pl request people to boycott HSBC credit cards for their completley unprofessional and unruly behaviour. CaN SENIOR HSBC MANAGERS UNDERSTAND WHY IS SUCH TREATMENT BEING METED OUT

                                    I had one credit card from HSBC([protected]). i have closed the card and paid the balance amount and got the NO DUE LETTER and Zero Balance Statement on April'10. I got my CIBIL[protected]. As per my CIBIL report the above card status showing WRITTEN OFF. i send the scan copy of NO Due letter and Zero balance Statement. CIBIL Contacted HSBC, but HSBC didn't update by record as closed.

                                    Please help on this to remove the status from CIBIL.

                                    Dear Sir.

                                    My name is Deepak Verma, and I held an credit card no [protected] with HSBC bank. I had this card when I was in Faridabad. When I shifted from Faridabad to Agra , I reported the change in address to the customer care. But due to some error the change in address did not happen and in the month of May 2007 I made a payment of some Rs 30000 to clear my dues. I did not have the statement from the bank but just based on my memory of how much I had purchased I made the payment. But even post this payment I never got a statement of my card and hence I never was able to know how much more or less had to be payed more.

                                    With time I thought that they were not sending me statements because maybe I had cleared all dues. But to my surprise I got to know few days back that there is a credit of 47300 against my name. I only want to reach the bank officials and I want to clear the dues that were outstanding at that point of time, i.e when I payed the amount of Rs 30000+ to the bank .

                                    It is not possible that my principal standing at the time of my payments could have been more than 1000 or 2000 at max. I am ready to pay the principal amount and have NOC from the bank.

                                    Kindly help me in settling the issue.

                                    similar to the above incident but with a slight variation, that I Mohan Karamanai Subramaniam having HSBC card [protected] had intimated the change of address almost a year back to the HSBC officals thro mail but this was neither confirmed from their end nor acknowledged!!!1 Now I had recived a fresh statement on this card showing fresh primary membership fee of Rs 700/= + S.tax totalling Rs 772.10 and asking me to pay the same. Where as after change of the address I had refained from using the card as their service to the customers in attending complaints is very pathetic.

                                    So I am not paying this fee and continue in not using the same and outrightly rejecting as I am happy with citicard which i had obtained in 1985 and so far did not have problems with them...

                                    The concerned HSBC officails can please take note of this and confirm atleast that they don't continue further sending this kind of absurd statements which I had already written off..I would appreciate if they reply a line in this regard..

                                      Dear SIr,

                                      I am having HSBC bank Home Loan as there are few Bank branches i have opted for internet banking. I raised preclosure of home loan on 22nd of Nov 2010. I relieved call that it will be done (as there was a top-up loan which i had prepaid using internet banking facility) but even after 2 week i didnt received neither foreclosure letter or my account was made zero even though balance was available.
                                      When i again called on 10 Dec 2010, it was told to me i can do foreclosure of home loan on internet banking i have to go to branch office with foreclosure letter (Which is not feasible option as its far from my current address and i travel frequently ).
                                      The option of prepayment was given to me with instruction that more than 25% of my total amount will receive 2 % service charge which i agreed, but again representative told that i cant do more than 25 % over the phone or internet bank request and i have to go to branch office.
                                      For delay in foreclosure letter why should customer be responsible to pay the interest rate because it was delayed by HSBC representative.
                                      Also, Mail clearly suggest that foreclosure can be made over the phone or internet bank request as i had already done for the Top-Up Loan.

                                        I am Shailendra Jain, I used to have a HSBC credit card in Mumbai in Year 2004. I remember I did all the settlements before closing that card, but still some outstanding balance is being shown in my CIBIL report.

                                        I have provided all the possible details (including Name on card, Date of Birth, Account Number, Opened date, Last Payment date, Closed date, Status etc.) which could facilitate them in searching my records in their database. I spoke to call center folks multiple times, then I exchanged multiple mails & then I even visited to local HSBC card settlement office but no one is able to trace my details in the database.

                                        I still do not have any response from HSBC, neither through email ([protected]@hsbc.co.in & [protected]@hsbc.co.in) nor from call center[protected] & [protected]). Call center people are not able to find records of my card/account in their database, hence they are not in position to say anything. They just end up saying that send a mail to [protected]@hsbc.co.in

                                        If my records are not available in HSBC database then on what basis they are sending updates to CIBIL?

                                        It has been more than a month since I am talking to HSBC in this regard & HSBC is not able to resolve my queries. Ultimately I am escalating this issue to consumer forum & RBI.
