i am mr SOM RAJ BAKSHI i had persnol loan account[protected] FROM HSBC bank.my loan has been cleared and bank send me the noc on 17th july.2010 and i just want to remove my name from cibil.

    Hi, i was an employee of HSBC, and from the time i have left HSBC that is around 5 months, since then i have observed that the company is leving different unnecessary charges, not providing me adequate information for charging the same , no alerts. It was a ridiculous experience. First, there has been an auto debit facility activated from my account without my notification, and then they transfer money from savings account to the credit card, without any authorisation, and on top of that they levy charges on that, so for one amount, they charge me in two or three different ways. The best part is that they are not sending any credit card statement via email or physically, i have requested repeatedlt, to atleast send to my personal email, but no response, They are not informing customers on what is the payment they have to make, not even by sms alerts and then they start charging anything and everything. Request you to kindly look into the matter.

      I am a student studying in USA. Before coming here I used to work in India and had a HSBC credit card. A month before coming to US I cleared all my dues with HSBC and also called them regarding cancelling the card. The card never got cancelled it seems. But they are now calling at my parent's place and asking for a balance payment of Rs.8000 (unexplained amount). I am a responsible citizen and have done my duty of clearing all the balance I owed to HSBC before leaving the country. Now I am not sure why they are asking for Rs.8000 where they ought to have cancelled my card almost 2 years ago? And they don't even have an explanation for it. I just hope there is an end to this trouble.

        Facts of Case
        I am having salary/saving bank account with HSBC, M.G. Road, Fort Branch, Mumbai.
        I have requested the bank for Personal Loan from bank, but my request was declined due non availability of Personal Loan scheme in their (HSBC's) product portfolio.I have approached other nationalised banks as well but was refused because my salary is being credited to HSBC's account. Hence i couldn't the Personal Loan from any bank. I am helpless and unable to avail the personal loan.

        Complaint
        As banking is integrated function which includes receipt of deposit from customers and lending money to borrowers. However HSBC bank's policy of not offering personal loan to customer defeat the purpose of overall banking function. It defeats the purpose of customer service. When i am banking with HSBC for making deposit then i have rights to avail other banking services as well (i.e. availing personal).

        Hence i want to lodge the complaint against the HSBC's bank policy of not offering the loan to existing customer.

        Kindly suggest me suitable course of action for availing the personal from HSBC Bank or any other nationalised bank and under which clauses should i make a complaint against the HSBC bank's policy for not offering the personal loan.

        Kindly revert soon so that i can decide the future course of action.

        Sub; Issue of credit card cheque payment -Reg

        With above subject, I have received your HSBC credit card statement for the month aug 2011 and mentioned that i have not paid for last month due payment but i have pay in through cheque your coimbatore branch and i put in a cheque your HSBC collecting cheque box on 10.08.2011. but mentioned the statement is not paid for your courier and mail statement. I have deposit the cheque of ICICI Bank cheque, a sum of Rs.1000/-(One Thousand Only) cheque no.471600 dt.10.08.2011. till date not reduce my payment account. I have a letter send to HSBC (credit card) coimbatore branch the above issue.Please verify and correct it my credit card account. please help to me this matter and awaiting for your valuable feedback.

        I have pay in correct date for before due date in every month for my previous payment statement.So please take serious action of of this issue.

          I am continuously getting calls from Pooja Yadav from the no.[protected] stating that I have to pay my outstanding amount for the credit card.I have never used HSBC credit card neither do I have one.When I asked her my details mentioned in her system , only my name was correct and other information like date of birth, work place etc was not correct.When I told her this, she asked me to give my actual details.I kept telling her it is some other person with the same name but she was just not ready to listen.What kind o[censored]nprofessional people have you hired????? Please take action against this.

            This is in reference to my credit card no. [protected] with HSBC.

            My account is in collections right now for not making payments. The reason for which is that I have requested hsbc’s every department time and again to remove all the contact numbers from my account which I do not authorize HSBC to use.

            I have also received a verbal confirmation from hsbc call operators and their managers from every department that all the contact details has been deleted except which I authorize them to use. I have also indicated that I will not make any payments on my account if any department of hsbc calls on any other no. that I are deleted and are not authorized by me.

            However, this seems to be of no concern to HSBC as the calls are regularly placed on the other numbers as well even after confirming “do not call” on them.

            Now, after having a word with an agent “Vidya” from collections I believe, I spoke to the customer services to get a letter (written confirmation) from hsbc regarding my contact details on the account.

            Customer services asked me to drop an email on this address [protected]@hsbc.co.in to get the document required. I did so and received a reply that I need to pay rupees 500/- to get registered for online complaints registration system of HSBC. This is so insane that a customer who is already unhappy with the services needs to pay money to register complaints already informed to every department of theirs???

            It is not my fault when hsbc's different departments fails to adhere to the instructions regarding my contact details with hsbc. Or their so called “SYSTEM” magically obtains different contact no.s from me even after being deleted by them.

            So, I informed them that I will be not making any payments on this account till I get the confirmation in written that hsbc will only use contact details I authorize them to use. I also “Requested” hsbc to please go ahead to take any "Legal actions" against me in case you fail to provide this document.

            Now, instead of taking any legal actions like a court case notice or police complaints, HSBC agents are enjoying harassing me by calling exactly the same numbers for payments which I wanted them to remove. This harassment is continued for months now and my parents are troubled with this to a great extent as they do not even know what this is all about and have no details for me whatsoever as I stay from my parents and family since 2 years now due to personal reasons.

            I request the Consumer complaints department to please suggest what can I do to stop this harassment.

            Hi,

            There is something fishy going in this recovery business, HSBC recovery agents are trying to reach & abuse people who are somewhat in my network but i myself don't know their contacts.

            How come a agency know all the such confidential private data.

            Please Beware these MNC banks are just ruthless.

              I am receiving calls form HSBC twice a day for credit card sales, i have told in the first call itself i am not interested and more over i will not be eligible for bank policy, despite that i am getting calls to provide the details. Its mental pressure. I request to take a compliant regarding this, i have noted down the phone number also.

                I was given HSBC credit card with Life time free of annual charges. They started charging me annual fee from the second year , I called up their customer care and asked them to cancel the card as I would not want to continue with the card with annual fees. The annual fee was reversed in the year 08-09 and same thing repeated for the year 09-10. This year also when I called up to cancel the card, they took my request and informed me that they would reverse the charges and cancel the card. This was in the month of June'10.
                I got call one day (10th Oct2010) from their loan recovery agent regarding the pending payment of Rs. 6000/- to be paid immediately and receipt details to be given to him next day.
                I took up this matter with HSBC and after after sending email and communication got zero dues email from them on October 31st.
                I got call from the same number on 17th Nov 2010 asking for the payment to be made. I explained the caller about my communicaton with HSBC and getting zero dues email from them hence he should check with the bank regarding the same.
                He asked to read out the email to him.
                I feel they have outsourced the recovery to recovery agents who do not get updated information even after 15 days and continue harrassing people for the same.
                I am still awaiting no dues certificate from HSBC, which they are delaying for obvious reasons.
                I hope someone can take appropriate action against these banks who are flouting all the laws and regulations.

                I was in Mumbai in September 2010 where I had a meeting with the CEO of HSBC to raise my concerns about the way HSBC was treating its customers.
                I am going to ask the RBI TO DO A FULL INVESTIGATION into HSBC India.
                For me to do this I need people that are willing to send their complaints to me and to allow me to forward their complaints, not only to the Board of Directors of HSBC Holdings Plc also to the Governor, Dr. D Subbarao and Shriv.K.Sharma, Executive Director of the Reserve Bank of India to investigate HSBC India as evidence to support the way that (and this is my personal belief) the Bank has breached the Code of Banks Commitment to Customers.

                Please help me to help you, if we join together we will be able to make a change in their behaviour (I do hope so).
                I have also sent a letter to all Board Directors of HSBC Holdings Plc.

                I refer to the concerns that I raised at the AGM in May concerning the behaviour of HSBC in India. Following my representation of complainants against HSBC India I have found the behaviour by the Bank to be totally unacceptable. This is my personal belief.

                I have found that the Bank has failed to comply with the RBI and the Banking Ombudsman Rules and Regulation in the handling of complaints. Also in all the complaints that I have personally handled there was no evidence that the Bank had informed the complainants of their right to take their complaint to the Banking Ombudsman which the Bank was obliged to do under the RBI rules and regulations.

                  I would like to inform you that I am Nitin Rastogi . Unfortunately , I was a credit card holder of you Bank. At the time of issuing this credit card, it was convey to me that it was a life time free card ,but you charged Annual fee on this credit card. I register complaint at your call center and not paid that amount. After 6 year you walk up & accept apologize for inconvenience as per your mail dt. 23rd June ,2008 & reverse all charges & levies on this card as per your mail dt 12.08.2010 ref. no. [protected]. On 2nd September, 2010 ref. no.[protected] you issue me a NOL ( No Objection Letter) for NIL outstanding against above mentioned card.



                  I am a honest person & I think that you are playing with my emotion & career. I was surprised to knew that you refer my name in CIBIL as written Off category. I can not understand when my credit card account is clear & no any dues against this card (accept by you ) than why you refer my name in CIBIL under written off Category. It shows that you are highly unprofessionally & you wants to spoil customer credit goodwill in financial institutions.

                  Every time given me a new reference no. & aks that they will response within two days but till date no any response com from their side.


                  So, I further request you please update my CIBIL records with paid / settlement instead of written off category. Please intimate me with update CIBIL as soon as possible.

                  HSBC Credit Card — Updation in CIBIL record

                  I am Suraj Ratan Mohta and holder of HSBC card NO. [protected]. I have cancelled the same card during 2004 and there is no dues on card. the same is also confirmed by the bank. But in CIBIL current month report my account status is showing written off. I have requested bank to please sent an email to CIBIL to rectify the account status, but they are saying it will take 30-60 days. My home loan is stuck because of the wrong information given by the bank. I request HSBC bank to sent the updated account status immediately. so that i my home loan file can be processed.                     I am repeatedly getting harassing calls from[protected] The address is HSBC Malad, Umang Tower, 2nd Floor, Behind inorbit mall, SV Rd, Malad Mumbai

                    First of all they did not send me my credit card bill on time. and now they keep calling me asking me to pay when i dont even have the bill in hand

                    i called up customer care at 6680001 and found my due was rs 3600, i paid it immediately and still they keep calling me

                    I want to put an end to it

                    should i lodge an FIR?

                      HSBC people are disturbing by sending mails stating that i was provided a credit card by them in 2004, i made a purchase in Dec. 2007 & never paid the bill. Now the amount has grown to 70,000 something & they can settle the same to appx. 15000 rs. Getting this surprise mail, i asked them to show some proof of purchase or asked them to advise for some document that i gave them along with the application but every time a new customer care person comes with same story but no one is provodong the proof.

                      Very first thing i am not agreeing that i got any HSBC credit card in 2004. After that you are saying that i never used this card but made some purchase in Dec. 2007 for which you don't have any record what & from where the purchasing was done. Now i have few below questions

                      Apart from this, i asked you people to provide some identity proof of mine or any other document which i gave you while applying the credit card. I asked for this 2 months back but till now no one has came back with the information but everytime i am getting an e-mail from a new customercare service person & i need to explain everything to him.

                      It shows very poor service from you people. Now please send me some proof that i was carrying any credit card otherwise please don't disturb by sending the mails. I will not be reverting if you will come back without any proof.

                      I, Pramod Chavan, is the Credit Card holder of your bank having Credit Card No – [protected]. Marketing person of HSBC telling me it’s a lifetime free card. Now from last few months back, I suddenly receive a SMS from HSBC requesting me to pay a Minimum amount. I have never been used this card single time. Then how I got the statement every time for payment. This is my third mail for canceling the credit card, so pl. cancel my card.

                      HSBC is getting a good business from technopark. their employees and agents are roaming around technopark and getting the business than any other credit card companies. But some bitter experiences from Hsbc seems we should careful about the HSBC and its people. This is an incident happened to Mr.Arun, a software engineer working in Technopark.If you are a Credit card holder, Please read on. It can happen to you also.

                      Here is the entire incident in his own words

                      "I was a credit card holder from HSBC with the HSBC card No. XXXXXXXXXX9509, Since they were not giving me any bills/ statement on time and added unwanted charges, interest to my card, I went for HSBC card settlement by paying an amount of Rs.7600 in 5 installment. I have paid 3 installments on time and then only noted that my payment was not updated in my HSBC Card account as per their (SMS update form HSBC server). So I told the executive that I will be paying the amount only in the HSBC Bank, Vellayambalam after discussing with the manager. Unfortunately for the next 6 days I couldn't go to Trivandrum HSBC.

                      In the mean time some of the HSBC executives collected my wife house's phone number from my mother and called them. They have threatened them and asked them to pay the amount. My marriage was only 2 months back. So you can imagine the situation.

                      In fact my wife's family and any of the members have any connection with HSBC bank, and I didn't mention their name or address anywhere in my application or any related documents with HSBC. Even though instead of going for any actions which is in straight forward nature/in terms of legal, they were continuesly threatening my family members or even my relatives.

                      I went to HSBC Vellayambalam today (Saturday, 9 Aug) by 1 am with one of my friend, as per the executive's direction I met Mr. Remesh Pillai (Asst. Manager, Collection Department, HSBC). I explained him all the details, he said the normal settlement procedure is that they will collect all the cheques and not even interact with the customer. Then I asked them why you called to my home and even wife's house. Then he changed his tone and said that you made a default and that's why they did that. Me asked, 'Why you called and threatened my relatives, I got ?' He said, I was not reachable at that time and that is their normal procedure and we can't send court notice to all defaulters. And we will be taking our own methods to collect it back.

                      I raised then and asked if this is the mode of your business you won't be doing any new business in technopark. And told them that I will be forwarding complaints to Technopark authorities, and will forward mail to all employees. (He got angry with this comment). He asked me to do what ever you want (mentioned he started his credit card collection career around 6 years, so he knows how to handle things) and asked me to get out from his office.

                      Then I told, you opened an office for the customers to do the transactions and get their problems resolved then why u asked me to get out. Then he and one of his colleague raised suddenly and pushed me on my neck, then the asst manger (Remesh Pillai) also pushed me from my back and abused me. They were using such bad word even in front of some lady staffs. They pushed me till the exit. (If anyone of your relatives/friends working in the first floor of HSBC Vellayambalam, you can enquire the same with them).

                      You will be thinking that a normal business people won't do that. Even I am wondering, how can they respond like that. I told this story to Museum police, even they were telling me that a manager/asst. manager won't respond like that. And about the threatening of my relatives, they took it as a casual thing. The SI said, if the credit card payment not paid they will call your relatives, there is nothing new in that. They didn't even filed a complaint, they just wrote his name on the compliant which I gave to him, and told me that we will call you after enquiring this. In future if someone get a chance to deal with Mr. Remesh Pillai, you can understand the things.

                      I am literally down, coz I can't face my wife's relatives now. And first time somebody manhandled me, abused me for the same HSBC Credit Card. I really request you to maintain a good payment history with HSBC Credit Card, if somebody plans to go for HSBC card please be aware of such traps.

                      I have been searching consumer complaints forum and found this site
                      This is with reference to my HSBC credit card no [protected]
                      I would like to inform you that I had requested HSBC to close this card almost 3 years ago. At that point in time I did not have any outstanding on my card.

                      However despite this request to close my card HSBC continued to send me mailers asking for renewal of card fees. I have calling up HSBC phone banking to close my credit card account and to stop sending me mailers asking for card renewal fees.
                      On every call made to phone banking I was informed that my credit card would be closed.
                      Now the reason for writing to you is to bring to your notice the extremely unprofessional way HSBC has handled my case.
                      I have recently applied for a loan no a financial institution recently and today they informed me that during my creditability verification
                      they found my name in the credit card defaulter list and this default has been reported by HSBC bank !!!
                      This is extremely shocking news to me and to know that my name appears on the defaulter list due to no fault of mine is extremely exasperating !!!
                      It feels as if I have made a mistake to have ever accepted a HSBC credit card.
                      Today for the entire day I have been speaking to HSBC phone banking and collections people but none of the teams have given me satisfactory response.

                      Another fructating thing is when I called customer care they routed to some collection dept who repeadly informing that they can not do any thing about this, I should be contacting another HSBC agency numbers. All phone numbers which they gave me are not existing. I extremely surprised with this behaviour of HSBC.
                      My calls are simply being tossed from one team to the other.
                      I am sure that you would understand my plight from a CUSTOMER perspective and surely agree that this is not to be expected from an MNC banking institution.

                      I need 2 things from HSBC at the earliest:
                      1. Clearance letter from HSBC that my name has been put up in the defaulter list by mistake and there is no outstanding on my credit card.
                      2. Ensure that my name is cleared from the defaulter list.

                      I request if such matters can be taken to consumer court and drag them to floor.

HSBC has tie-up with TATA AIG Insurance co., I never had shown my interest for TATA AIG Insurance, without my knowledge they had sent it to me. without informing to me they have debited some premium amount. without my any confirmation HSBC added charges for TATA AIG Policy in my account. I called several times for last 1 year. They said the charges will be wiped off but all in vain. Now they are adding finance fees & insurance installment each time & sending me statement 10th April 09. I was naturally shocked as I am a salaried employee and have no other sources of income Despite my request to cancel the policies the same have not been cancelled till date I am fed of doing this stuff again & again, I have just a single request. Please waive of these unwanted charges & send me a statement with the Zero amount due for the payment
                      I had tried to contact their customer services, experienced a very uncomfortable facilities over there. Now I want to resolve this issue, I have sent mails to their customer services also ([protected]@hsbc.co.in).
                      Request you if anyone helps me out, I believe I was not in fault and I am deeply disappointed with HSBC for doing this. I am seriously considering going to the consumer court and fight it out. What do the members of this forum think? I am working in Press (India Today Group)

                      The customer service of HSBC is canvasing for TATA-AIG but when I request HSBC to cancel my policy the told me to contact TATA-AIG Insurance. Is this correct????

                      HSBC they really create a mental tension to the credit card holder, by giving a minimum of 5 calls daily to promote some stupid offer. I suggest not to use the card for god sake.

                      I am cancelling the card today. I used the card for a period of 2 years, till date I have claimed the reward points, still i haven't received my gift. Really a stupid service, no cashback or no point redemption, no proper service, and always call and give fake information, making the customer think, why they choose this stupid card.

                      Harassment - HSBC credit card
                      I am a Indian :Pvt. employee. The HSBC Credit Card representatives almost forced me to get one HSBC credit card with false promises. They issued card in somebody else's name inspite of all docs After paying them they are charging and charging unnecessarily and now they are harassing me for the payment which has been already paid. Some Mr. Sunil Kumar from their Customer care center called up and abused me and started hrassing my 9 year old daughter at my residence. But within a short time, they started sending statements showing dues against my cards.I don;t know what to do now..

                      But my agony does not end here. I am still receiving calls from the recovery agents & statements showing balance fees of Rs. 35000, may be with late fees also (no explanation given on statement).

                      I therefore request you kindly to stop sending any statement against my cards which are already cancelled and returned. The calls from recovery cell should also be stopped IMMEDIATELY, which is causing great deal of harassment and pain to me and my 9 year old daughter

                      Hope you will look into the matter to relieve me of my tension & pain.
                      I had made a complaint against the Cancellation of DD (Balance Transfer) which is submitted to SBI CARD, The Payments made by me should be reversed as well as the minimum amout due I had submitted should also be remitted to my account.

                      I am having a HSBC credit card. I was just carrying the card without using it. my outstanding was zero but in Aug'09 I got the bill of Rs. 4832.00. I called up their customer care to ask about this and they found out that this was a mistake from their side that they transferred someone else's balance to my card and will reverse the amount but after 4 months I am still getting calls from their collection department. 20 calls a day. I had called customer care so many times but they are not doing anything about this. they are levying the interest and other charges every month.
                      it is a mental harassment cese. suggest me what should I do?

                      I was holding HSBC credit card which was given to me with Life time free facility. But to my surprised, when I stopped using this card, HSBC charged me anual fees of 2500 Rs and without any information, late payment charges kept on getting added to my card. After some time, HSBC closed my card and still kept on charging Late financial charges. After 2 years, i was sent a statement which read as Outstanding 17000 Rs.
                      I tried to talk to one various person from recovdy department from Mumbai delhi, and they forced to pay outstanding of Rs. 17000 which i have not used..
                      I asked her why I was charged anual fees and thay did not give any answer. I also wished to talk to senior but she did not transfer my call.
                      This is really surprising that I will have to pay for something which I have never ever used.
                      Can you please suggest me if there is any way for me to close this without paying these Charges.

                      there is no need to pay that much, as they cannot recover it, u pay only what u have used or 40% of what u have actually used. and tell them for the settlement. pls pay only on receiving the settlement letter. or tell them to see u in court which they cant do. dont worry nothing is going to happen to u in any way. if they trouble u more register fir in nr. police station for harrasment

                      My name is Manesh Raina. Before two years, in 2007, my HSBC credit card got expired and during that time I had to go to China for my job. After some time in Mar 2008, I got a call from HSBC Credit Card department that there is an outstanding due on my credit card amounting to 50,000 INR. I told them that I never got the card but they insisted on it. They started harassing my parents, and I finally paid the money and cleared my dues with the bank in May 2008.

                      But now the problem is that I am trying to get a new credit card and it was rejected. The reason was that my name is in the CIBIL defaulter list. After so much time they have not removed my name from the defaulter list even though I had paid the money for the card which I never got from the bank. I called the HSBC customer care and they gave me one number[protected] and told me to talk to them. After repeated calls no one picks up the call there and I think it is just a fake number given by HSBC customer care people.

                      Now I just want to know what should I do in order to make my name removed from CIBIL defaulter list even though I had paid the money.
                      I want to cancel my credit card, credit card no. [protected]. What is the procedure for cancellation and is ther any fee charged towards this.

                      was using a credit card of your bank CC No. -[protected], till 2008.

                      You can check the monthly statements up to dec 2007. All payments are up to date and no one is missed even for last date.

                      But if you see in statement of dec 2007, payment due date was 4 feb 2008. So as usual I put a check for this amount and that checks get bounce due to some over write or sign miss match. So I call a call from your collection dept on[protected] saying that "sir your check was not cleared and you can make a payment today so no late fee will be charged".



                      I asked to send some body from HSBC as she said, and make a payment to him.

                      Then in next month _jan 2008) statement I found a lot of amount for this late fee. as see in jan2008.pdf as attached

                      Then I call HSBC costumer care and she said that this late fee will be canceled in next month stmnt and you can pay rest of amount excluding late fee.

                      But if you see the stmnt of feb 2008 again this late fee will remain continue.

                      so this way this issue between HSPC and me stated ad after that I put a request to close my card.

                      After that many time I got a call from HSBC and many times I called HSBC. But no body asks me for solution for this. I asked that please clear this issue other wise it will became many fold in coming years.

                      In dec 2008 I got a call from HSBC saying that if I will pay Rs127 only she will close this issue and give a clearing letter to me. so on Some body Mr. Jitender (Mob- no. [protected] at that time) came to me and I make a payment on 12-12-08 to him(please see the attached slip ). Mr. Jitender said that clearing letter will be posted at my address with in 3 days. But till now I have not received any letter from HSBC and stmnt are coming regular basis.

                        In past month i tried to make swipe with my platinum credit card no.[protected] but they were dishonored.Which was very embarrassing. There was no formal notice from bank(HSBC's) side if they had put my card on hold. I tried their customer care several times but the call always ends before their executive is there on line. This has repeated for about 4-5 times.
                        After i launched a complained through email they informed that my account has been closed by bank on 18 august 2010. Further i asked about my loyalty points they told that they can't redeem them now. First of all they have closed my account without informing to me i have already enrolled for "e statements" but still they were least bothered to sent even a mail to inform about closure of my account and secondly how can they tell me that now i can't redeem my loyalty points.
                        I need a proper reply and if possible again my card should be activated along with the loyalty points where they closed it.

                          I used to have a Credit Card of HSBC Bank. There was outstanding of Approx 1.30Lac in that Credit Card. I cleared all the Outstanding in 2 to 3 months. Total Amount was left as approx 18Thousand. I called up Bank Customer Care & told them that I want to clear all the dues & let me know the Total Amount. It was Rs. 17,XXX. I gave the Cheque & closed the Account. Now, I have been getting call from Customer Care / Collection Dept that Rs. 350 is still due & I need to pay this on Urgent basis. I told them that I have paid more than 1lac to close my Account & paid exactly the Amount which was asked by the Customer Care.
                          Now, these Bas**** are calling me / giving missed calls every half an hour. The Numbers are:

                          Dear Sir,
                          I was issued a credit card by HSBC in the year 2006. The HSBC executive was not confirmed me about the actual interest rate. I was not received the statement regularly. Even I have paid the amount regularly (as the statement received). But I found that the payable amount was increasing every month while I was not purchasing anything. One serious problem is that the opening balance in the statement was very much higher than the previous month's closing balance. How is it possible? When I call to customer care they behaved very badly. They register my problem six times But I was not received any solution from their side. Nobody is taking the responsibility for the fake statement. They are mentally torturing me very much. Now I want to close my account with full and final payment than I called to customer care. They said, my case is transferred to the recovery department. They provide me some contact numbers of recovery department in Noida. When I am trying to contact them nobody is picking up the phone.
                          I am requesting to Honorable Resreve Bank Of India to take any hard action against such type of Fraud Banks which are harassing the people of India.
                          My HSBC credit card was stolen and misused on 25th April. I had blocked the card on 26th morning as soon as I realized it was missing, lodged a police complaint and submitted a copy of this complaint to HSBC along with complete details of the misused transactions, Bangalore MG Road Branch on 29th April, after having to make 3 trips to the branch. I have a stamped acknowledgement from the branch.

                          Ever since I have been calling HSBC Customer Care regularly and they are telling me the matter is still under investigation and will take more time.

                          On the other hand I am regularly getting threatening calls from the Collection department (2-3 calls everyday on my mobile and home landline number) for payment of the disputed amount.

                          I have been using this card regularly for the last 4-5 years and have been making regular, full payments. And now I am being harassed continuously by one department of the organization for delays caused by another department of the same organization.
                          My card number ending with 6523 has an outstanding of Rs. 40000 which has all sorts of interests attached. I am being harrassed by the HSBC bank employees for payment of the same. I will pay a maximum of 50% on the principal amount which is Rs. 15000 to settle this card. If the bank authorities wish to take this amount and settle the card then we can hold a discussion on the same or else I would not entertain any more horassing calls from this bank.

                          Your situation is similar to mine. I was a gold card customer from beginning and my limits were increased repeatedly by bank. One day i changed my address and notified the bank by email and courier. They did not do. But their collection deptt started hounding, abusing, threatening me and kept collecting minimum due (or more than minimum due) from me by sending a person to my address, but never helped to change address and did not send statements for too long.

                          My card no is 9848, last year hsbc customer care executive took a request to provide me a balance transfer dd of 14000/- rs but when i recived that dd i was of only 6000/-rs. I returned that dd to the branch...after few days i again talked to customer care executive at that time after doing all calculation regarding my a/c he promised me that at this time u will surely get 14000/- rs dd, but again i got the dd of 5028/- only then i called up to the bank and request to cancel that. thier cc executive told me to take my dd back by sending an executive but after a month when no body came... i again called to bank But at this time they refuse to sent thier executive but now when i have submitted the dd to the bank, bank is not ready to return my interest amount for that money which i had never use.

                            I have a credit card (visa card) from HSBC. I have specified the credit limit as 30,000. By mistake once it crossed the limit (Rs 32500). They have levied a charge of Rs 550 for that overlimit amount

                            From the customer point of view

                            1) They should never allow overlimit.They have in the past declined a transaction as limit was not sufficient

                            2) Even if they allow, there is a huge fine (Rs 550 each month). They told me that even if there is a Rs 1 overlimit there is a fixed Rs 550 fixed charge that needs to be paid. This is absurd

                            This seems to be extremely unfair practice. What is the logic of a credit limit i[censored] have an overlimit over and above that? This is a way of charging people and is a fraudulent practice.

                            I have a credit card with HSBC, I have not crossed the credit limit stipulated by HSBC Credit cards division, but I was charged over-limit fee of 500/- and service tax of 14.5% on the over limit fee. This is even unfair practice. Please let me know if there is a way to avoid this unnecessary penalty on my account.

                                  I have taken a personal load on 11/11/2006 for the period of 5 years. my account number is[protected] and the document number 750407 and I have pre - closed my account of 8/3/2008. I have faced a following problems with HSBC bank, Bangalore India.
                                  1. I have applied for the pre-closure of my account, but I haven't got any letter for the pre-closure letter. I have paid additional amount for their mistake. From the date of information for pre-closure they charges changes on date to day bases.
                                  2. They have taken one EMI after my pre-closure from my account. And after inquiry they said they will return so I have given a clear instruction to send it home but, they have replied to my old office by the time I shifted my office. After trying and communication for long time I just got tired of calling and following these guys.
                                  Then I decided why should I leave the money they have taken for no reason, Just recently I have send the mail to get back the my EMI, they asked to submit indemnity bond and request letter.
                                  a. Initially they asked to indemnity bond for Rs.100 and later for Rs.200.
                                  On Oct 12th 2010 (token number RP 041) I have submitted all these, indemnity bond (Rs. 212 for paper and for notary Rs. 100/-) and request letter to Branch on MG Road, Bangalore and they promised they send the DD within 7 days. For these work, I have taken 1 days off, from my work my one day salary of Rs. 1350 plus for the transport charges to make the bond and the stress.
                                  I followed by few email to [protected]@hsbc.co.in on 20th Oct, and again [protected]@hsbc.co.in on 28th OCT 2010 still there is no reply.
                                  After fulfilling all their needs the result is zero.
                                  These HSBC bank never keep they commitment.

                                    sir i have done full and final settlement amount in month of august but still my name in CIBIL .i dont no why, i request you please remove my name name in CIBIL ASAP,if you want any payment document what i was receive from HSBC BANK & BARCLAYS BANK.

                                      Myself Chilkunda Suryanarayan Panisha bearing HSBC Credit card No [protected] issued in 2006 to the best of my Knowledge i had not used this card since purchase ,Now from the last month I recd call from HSBC -Legal dept statingthat pending balance of Rs-1.89 Lacs then I asked to submit the statement failed to show the same,perhaps after 4 years first time calling me and no SMS /Statements etc etc and harrassing me daily Pl guide me what to do ?? I am realy disturbed
