I have an hp pavilion dv9734tx Entertainment PC, the hinges and the plastic bezel assembly of its LCD is broken that I can't use it without setting a proper support for it, and I need to carry it for my works often, I called hp customer care for the solution but instead of replacing the wrecked parts they said whole LCD has to be replaced which costs 32,000 Rs. they also said that these parts are not available because the company doesn't make them anymore, I searched online and found that hp is still making those parts, and when I called to a customer support on phone and asked about the parts availability at here so I got a positive response, they said these parts are available, now when I call the service center, I am not getting a proper response, and if i don't manage to change the parts I will loose the LCD also, and that is not making me feel good, so I am planning to go to consumer court, I am very disappointed by the way these so called customer care facilities rob many o[censored]s thinking that we can't get proper information about our problem, if you people can help me out with my problem I will be really thankful to you, hp really sucks (pardon my language) they not only sell bad products but they also don't have an even up to the mark costumer support. Hoping for some advice, Thank you.

HP — Misguidance By HP

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have been using you printers from last 15 years, starting with HP Laserjet IIIp (PCL 5), then HP Laserjet 2100m and with increasing workload I bought a new Laserjet P2055D (serial number CNCJF36360) last week.

If you observe all my previous printers supported postscript facility with dots printing (screen frequency) which is the basic requirement of my business, since I own a publication and a printing pre-press.

The said new printer was approved after consulting your representative Mr. Ashley online and the same was purchased last week. All the requirements were briefed to your representative. But to our dismay the said printer didn’t support the said requirement.

I called up your customer service center for the same and they provided me with a link to download PS driver which was installed on my system.

Even after all this harrowing process which also includes multiple calls to your service center, the printer is not able to fulfill my requirement even after a whole week of all efforts.

After one week I have started realizing that I have been misguided by your representative and the same is not expected from a reputed organization like yours.

Since the said printer is of no use to me (the complaint was registered for the same on 15th Jan attended by Ms. Pruthvi) can somebody responsible from your end attend to my call and guide what should be done?

At this juncture I feel the said printer be replaced with the one that supports my needs and I am willing to pay the difference amount for the same.



Awaiting a favorable response from your end at the earliest.

    i'm basant kumar soni i have pursed hp 20''inch tft from nehru place delhi and tft model no is 2009f but from some time it has problem LCD PANEL .the tft warranty is 3year according to the company
    i calling to custmer care office toll free number [protected] and custmer care says my willbe solved within one week .and give a delhi service centre number 30675107 .i also calling delhi service centre but they told to me that your request willbe solved and after two days engneer will visit to your home and after two days engneer has come to check the tft problem and make a callback report and says within one week your tft will replace but after one week there is not call and any replacement for my tft and when to custmer care and delhi service centre than ther are tell a lie and don't attend my phone i calling to gurgaon custmer again and again but there is not any responsibily for my probem

      Dear Sir,

      i had purchased presario cq40-604tx serial no cnd94833n1 2 month before. My hard disk is damage than i go to service center at haldwani they replace my notebook hard disk and told me call[protected] ask him for recovery they will send you. I called him 4 time but they did not give any response.so kindly take some action against them and send me recovery disk as soon as possible. unless i will complains against u in consumer court.

        Excerpts of a mail sent to HP :

        I am a user of HP Tablet Notebook (TX2-1005Au), and lodged complaint of its non functioning on 26th July'10 with Simtech Comptronics Bilsapur Chhattisgarh. The concerned person are Mr Prasad at Bilaspur and Mr. Amit at Raipur.

        Since then after lot of followups they are unable to solve my problems.

        i. Initially they diagnosed the motherboard problem and called the mother board. I dont know what type of Pathetic courier company HP uses, it takes 7 days to deliver
        here at Bilaspur, i feel the worst courier copany can deliver any parcel in the world in 3-4 days.

        ii. After the motherboard arrives they says that it is also faulty and they have requested for another board.

        iii. The next board again was shipped for us but then Bilaspur service centre says that it has got delivered at Calcutta office.

        iii. The 3rd time they have ordered the PCB/ Motherboard and again it is received after 7 days and the problem is again unresolved, they say the same problem is coming after changing the board.

        iv. Now they say that they have ordered new processor, and i am sure in next 7 days the processor will also be reached. But how u will assure that now the problem will be resolved.

        v. And in this process i am losing the precious time, my old data is there in the laptop and i am unable to retreive it. I am using the best and premium laptop of your reputed brand which is the best in the country or i feel across globe. But this is not the way i expect HP should respond to a customor's grievance. Though they have currently made available a standby laptop but that is the solution for my problem.

        Now before taking any action i would like to request HP to please change my tablet PC, i wont keep that old tablet PC whose Mother board / processor all are reporting problems. Please exchange my faulty laptops with new one.

        I am sure for a brand like HP, customer's satisfaction and delight is very important and is in top priority. Please look into my serious and sincere grievences.

          We have bought HP touchsmart PC and have contact for services for HP for 3 years.
          Past 1 month pc is down and HP not able to get it serviced or provide repalcement PC.
          They give excue non avaialability of the parts. complete log of the compliant given below.

          We have ordered for another motherboard yesterday . We are awaiting for the part to reach us.

          Hewlett Packard — delivery of offer not made even after 8 months

          I PURCHASED A HP LAPTOP MODEL dv2910TX ON 20th OF OCTOBER 2008 IN WHICH I WAS ENTITLED TO GET A FREE GIFT OF KODAK DIGITAL CAMERA WORTH AROUND OF Rs. 8000 TO Rs 10000. I WAS ASKED BY THE DEALER TO MAKE A DRAFT OF RS 990/- IN FAVOUR OF HP REDEMPTION SOLUTIONS PVT. LTD. AND POST IT TO NEW DELHI ADDRESS WHICH WAS DONE ACCORDINGLY BY ME.AS PER THE RULES I AM ENTITLED TO RECEIVE THE GIFT WITHIN 2
          MONTHS.BUT IT WAS MY COURTESY TO WAIT TILL THE MONTH OF FEBREAURY i.e, 4 MONTHS.
          AFTER THIS PATIENCE LEVEL WENT DOWN AND I MADE A CALL TO REDEMPTION DEPARTMENT AT DELHI WHICH WAS A STD CALL(NON TOLL FREE).ON 1st OF MARCH THE DEPARTMENT SAID THAT IT WAS DUE TO SOME TECHNICAL PROBLEM AND THE DEPARTMENT WILL DESPATCHED THE OFFER WITHIN 15DAYS.I WAITED BUT COULD NOT GET ANY POSITIVE RESPONSE WHICH WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING.I AGAIN MADE A CALL AND THEY SAID THAT THEY DONT HAVE THE OFFER WITH THEM IN THEIR STOCK AND ASKED ME TO WAIT FOR THE NEXT 15 DAYS BUT AGAIN THE SAME THING CONTINUED FOR THE NEXT TWO MONTHS.I HAVE LOOSED MY BALANCE DRASTICALLY CALLING THOSE STUPID CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVES.MOREOVER THE VALUE OF MY GIFT ALSO HAS COME DOWN TO AROUND Rs.5000/-BUT STILL HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO RECEIVE THE OFFER.
          ON 15th OF MAY I ASKED MY ELDER BROTHER TO CALL THEM UP. HE CALLED AN TALKED TO Mr.SHIV DUTTA SHARMA (CUSTOMER CARE OFFICER).HE GAVE THE COMPLAINT ID NO.507569.OUR THIRTY TO FORTY RUPEES BALANCE WAS GONE DISCUSSING WITH HIM.
          HE AGAIN ASKED TO WAIT FOR 15DAYS BUT AGAIN NO RESPONSE COULD BE OBTAINED.
          THIS HAS MADE ME COMPELLED TO WRITE THIS COMPLAINT.
          PLEASE HELP ME.

                My name is Anjali Arora and I bought a laptop of HP Pavillion DV 4 series, Product Model: WR717PA, Product Name: HP Pavilion dv4-2126tx Entertainment Notebook PC, PrinterSerial Number: INA0160K0F, Complaint number 5149 on 23rd July 2010 from Jaipur, Spice Store.



                I must say that was the unluckiest day because my all problems started the day I bought your laptop. From the first very day, I was having hanging problem in the brand new laptop. After few days, more problems cropped up like it stopped detecting password and finger impression in the sleep mode.



                To the top of it, it has now stopped detecting any recovery CD. I am amazed by the quality you people are delivering to your customers.



                I went to your service centre at Shri GOPAL TOWERS, KRISHNA MARG, JAIPUR to show all these problems to them. You will not believe the response which I got from the executive out there. They are far away from being called customer care executives because they don’t pay any heed to their customers at all. First of all, they said these problems have to narrated to the shop from where I bought this laptop. The shop owner of Spice said it has to be dealt by HP Service Centre. Finally your executives agreed to listen to me. But that not the end, to all these problems they are saying that they will not give any license to windows, they will put a pirated version in the laptop to make it work. Is it what I paid for??



                How can you treat your customers like this??. I have paid you money to get a laptop in proper working conditions. I am not here to get a defected piece on the price of a new laptop. I want my laptop to be replaced by a new one. I will not accept any pirated version or a laptop which has so many problems from the day one. I already wasted my valuable time so much at your service centre. Now I don’t want to wait for so many weeks to get into same problems.



                Please take appropriate action to my complaint otherwise I know very well to what action I need to take otherwise.

                  This is with regard to my laptop which I'd given for repair on 03rd/May/2008 at the INDIRANAGAR center.The technician checked and informed me that the hard disk had to be replaced. I was told I'd get the laptop back within 3-4days. I was updated twice (got updates on 05th May and 6th May) via text message about the progress of the repair. I then finally got a call on 8thMay from the center and they told me that the laptop was ready. I then went to center to collect it. On reaching there, the executives on the front desk gave me the laptop and asked me to check. I checked and to my surprise I found that the hard disk was replaced by 60GB instead of 160GB!!! I informed them about the same. I then spoke to a lady supervisor there and she said that on the warranty/contract sheet it says 60GB hence it was replaced with the same amount. I was totally shellshocked on hearing this because I know what I'd bought and how much I'd pay and how many GB was the Harddisk. BUt ofcourse, she then said that it clearly says 60GB and maybe ' I am making the mistake that my laptop has 160GB!!! ' I then ofcourse told her that its impossible! firstly I had 75-80 GB of backed up data from my laptop and I can prove it to her if she wants me to! She then asked me to wait whilst she checks with the technician. After a while an 'engineer' who wears spectacles came in with the original harddisk of my laptop and to their surprise it really was 160GB! They apologized and said that they'd replace it with 160GB without fail. I then said THEY BETTER DO SO as I cant wait for too long. I also mention to him that there is a 'SOUND DISTORTION FROM ONE SIDE OF THE SPEAKERS' which I'd complain about and that its not mentioned in the warranty/contract sheet. He then said that I should not worry and that the problem would be taken care of. I said fine. He said they'd inform me as and when the laptop is ready. So the wait continued...I then finally got a call on the 13thMay informing me that the laptop is ready. I thought FINALLY ITS DONE! SO on reaching there I was asked to wait and then got called by the front desk lady, she then informed me that a technician would run a DEMO on my laptop. The technician was SARAVANAN. I sat down, he switched on the laptop and was ready to run a DEMO. But at that point of time, I was more anxious to check for the hard disk so I asked him to check for it first, he then said that he had to show/run the demo first. I insisted that I check the hard disk first then only I will look or listen to anything else. I had to make sure it was replaced by 160GB...as I didnt want the same experience last the previous time. I then checked...and found that teh hard disk was not 160GB but 148GB only! after a couple of phone calls and explanation from the technicians...by then another technician( SHIVANAND) was handling the 'demo'. At this point of time I still did not believe that its really a 160GB hard disk until they opened the laptop right infront me and showed it physically. So first problem resolved. Fantastic I thought!
                  Now the drama starts again!!!...I asked the technician Mr.Shivanand to check for the sound distortion on one side of the speakers. He checked and found that the problem does exist and that its not been taken care of yet. I also informed him that I'd even mentioned it to the previous technician but its not mentioned on the warranty/contract sheet. So he did checked and acknowledged the fact that there was a problem with the sound/speakers. I was so pissed off at this point of time as I did not want to keep the laptop again! He then said he'd checked and let me know. He disappeared for a while and came back and said that it'll take some time for the issue to be resolved. I then asked him HOW LONG?! AS I HAVE WAITED LONG ENOUGH AND I AM FED UP. He then asked me to wait for sometime and he went to check with probably a manager or some other technician. He came back and asked me if I can wait for 15-20mins as they'd deal with the issue RIGHT AWAY. I was for a while happy on hearing this:) but ofcourse didnt really expect them to stick to what they'd promised ie., 'dealing with the issue right away' so that I can take the laptop home on that day itself. Mr.Saravanan came back and told me that it'll actually take some time, so I can finish my other work ie. if I have any!!! As expected, they couldnt deal with the issue withun 15-20mins as they'd promised. So I went for lunch and got a call from them around 1430 hours and they informed me that the laptop was ready!!! I went back to the service center and waited till the front desk lady called me. She was very sweet, atleast somebody who seemed genuine and helpful there. She told me a technician would run a demo on the laptop for me. I then told her that I want either Mr.Saravanan or Mr.Shivanand to look into the matter as I was not in the mood to rerun the whole story from the beginning to the next technician. She then informed Mr.Shivanand who at that time was dealing with another customer, She came back and said that he'd called me. I waited for sometime and he then run the 'demo'. He informed me that the speakers had been replaced. He checked and found that the PROBLEM WITH THE SOUND DISTORTION ON ONE SIDE OF THE SPEAKERS STILL THERE!!! I was really disappointed as I actually thought that I would finally be done with the whole drama. I conveyed to Mr.Shivanand as to how disappointed I am and that I have waited long enough and jiust cant understand as to why they cannot resolve the issue. He kept saying that the speakers has been replaced. I said I understood that but there isnt any use as the problem was still not resolved!!! He then said that I can use the laptop for sometime and I can come back if the problem was still there!!! hello! what stupidity is that? If I take the laptop home wherein the issue was still UNRESOLVED...what difference does it make whether I take the laptop right away or get it sometime later AGAIN! what sense was he trying to actually make????? Well I guess they just wanted to close the case. It was such a bad customer service that they'd provided. I then insisted that there was NO WAY that I'd take my laptop with an unresolved issue. He also said that I can come back to the center if there was any other problem. I said: I DOUBT IF I'D EVER COME BACK HERE. He then said: that HP has 5 service centers in Bangalore and that I can go to the nearest one. I replied that Unfortunately, this was the closest to my residence! and that I highly doubt if I'd walk in again or for that matter recommend anybody about the center or even buying HP products. I'd always had very high hopes from HP as its the biggest computer company in the world but this experience from the Indiranagar center had really disappointed me and I would think a 1000times before buying or recommend anyone with HP products. no doubt the prducts are good, have used many pther hp products before. but the AFTER SALES/CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS HORRIBLE. Atleast thats what the INDIRANAGAR service center has taught me.
                  So at this point of time, Mr.Shivanand then asked me about the warranty on the laptop. I told him its till sometime in July. After allllllllllllll this drama he still had the guts to tell me that I SHOULD TAKE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY!!! I was like Hell with that. Deal with this issue first and then we'll talk of warranty extension. I mean...HELLO????? I AM NOT A FOOL TO INVEST IN SOMETHING WHICH I KNOW ISNT REALLY WORTH IT> I mean with such kind of errors...one after another: ITS JUST RI-DI-CU-LOUS!!! Inspite of me saying this he still called the lady who deals in the same. She came and I told her on her face that I AM NOT INTERESTED. Mr. Shivanand then said that " She will just tell me the process of the same" Dude! He was justttttttt testing my patience. I mean why would I even think of a warranty extension when they cnt even deal with the present issue which was "NOT" being dealt with for the past 10-12days. To my surprise, the lady started off and I jsut didnt listen and just totally ignored her and looked away whilst she yapped. After she was done, I look at the technician-Mr.Shivanand and told him that we should get back into dealing with the present issue of the laptop. He kept insisting that I take back the laptop and come back later. I knew they just wanted to close off this case of my poor laptop. I ofcourse was so fed up and tired with the whole drama and told him that I will under no circumstances take my laptop back whose issue was unresolved. I actually felt like hitting him with the laptop but then again that shouldnt back fire on me, incase I decide to SUE them. So anyways, I guess he realized that he just could not convince or rather fool me into taking the laptop with the unresolved issue bac. He then said he would make sure that they'd check it thoroughly this time!!! I was like WOW!!! finally you decide to do the right thing and told him that he shouldve done this right from the start because if they'd checked it properly then I wouldnt have had to go through all this drama. He then finally said that he'd update me on the progress of the issue and that I should get it asap. I then left, but ofcourse with no hope that they'd even fix the problem.
                  Yesterday, the 15th of May 2008, I called the center and asked them about the progress and I had not receive any updates whatsoever. The lady said that the problem has not been resolved and that they'd call me once it is!!! Today, the 16th of May, I still have not receive any updates from them. I dont know what they're trying to do. I just feel so conned by them, theyre only trying to fool me into taking the laptop with unresoled issue and on top of that wants me to take an extended warranty?!?!
                  I do not know whether this complain of mine would actually reach anywhere or even be read by anyone...I have lost total hope on HP and HIGHLY disappointed with it. However, I will not give up give without a fight. In case this drama prolongs for some more time, I will will see to it that I take LEGAL ACTION.

                  I HOPE SOMETHING OR SOMEONE WOULD FINALLY DEAL WITH MY LAPTOP!!!

                  I could understand that it was masquerading. In certain cases,if the customer annoys, then they will check the air of the vehicle. As an esteemed customer for the pump, now I am thinking of shifting to another pump which provides more care to the customer.

                      You may have problems with the screen or motherboard. Plug the computer to an external monitor and if the lines are still there its your mother board and you need a new computer, If its show up okay in the external monitor its your screen, and you need a new screen. If its your screen I suggest you take it to a local computer shop and have them fix it. I had a CPU problem and sent it back to HP and had the CPU fix but came back with fan problems. I will not send it back to HP any more there work is not relyable.
                      If your screen is not under warrenty they may charge over a hunderd dollares and that is a ripp off. I repalce screens for about 25 dollars if people have the part or I order it for them. Geek sqad is also a rip off.

                        The compaint no. is CA0974705. We bought a Compaq Presario CQ32801X with Compaq LCD 18.5" W185q on 30 june 2010 . From day one the TFT has the display problem We booked the compaint on 21st July. They have sent TFTs twice but each time an old repaired TFT. When we have bought a brand new desktop why should we accept an old and repaired TFT. HP Compaq refuses to listen to the complaint. Kindly look into the matter

                              I had the same experience. I had brought the cartridge twice. same result. never knew HP will come up with such a false offer. Why are they doing this?
                              I had the same problem, no body take phone or reply me on my mails . I won 4 gifts, 2 Printers (HP printer F4488 AIO) dt.16/07/2010 & 20/07/2010, 1 Parker Beta Pen on 02/10/2010 & 1 Sport Bottle (600ml) on 07/10/2010 from your HP spin & win contest, no body contact me regarding this gift.                                 i purchase HP D1668 deskjet printer and the usb cable wich i got with was faulty. When i contacted the HP call center, they replied that USB cable was not under warranty and asked me to email my complaint.
                                There is a question for Senior HP executives if a product is found faulty from day one then who is responsible for this.???? and why you people have opened the call center if it is of no help!!!On many occassion i had similar experience with HP call center and service center.....The warranty seal on the product is placed on easy accessible location so even my accidentally it will move out ...causing the product to be denied of its warranty........ HP's call center is a [censored]hole.....I request people not to buy HP Product and I request the Govt. of India to frame strong consumer laws so such companies do not harass more customer...

                                  I have been ripped off by HP when I bought a new HP Pavilion DM4 1024tx laptop from retailer TATA CHroma in Eva Mall Brigade Road , Bangalore

                                  The unit given to me was a refurbished one which I came to realize after seeing traces of internet usage on the laptop prior to me logging in the first time. On testing , I came to know that the battery was a dated one ( mfg date is Jan 2010 whereas the box details july 2010 of assembly date). And every basic part of the laptop was faulty...display flickering, no sound etc. Battery drained in 45 minutes flat. When I contacted TATA Chroma i was told they are not responsible and that I must goto HP Serive centre.


                                  I went to HP service centre twice ( first time i was turned back) and the second time despite my 1 hour explanation that people are repeatedly putting 'battery not charging' as my complaint. As if it was like a planned move or even as if they were expecting me there. It is now 3 weeks and still I do not have any response from HP or their service center.


                                  This is a case of outright crime by HP and their retailing partners. Needless to say you are warned of this HP operation existing in Bangalore and would be a complete fool even if you look at HP Laptop as an option to buy. JUST NEVER BUY HP LAPTOPS ! They are openly looting people.


                                  But I am writing to seek info if anyone else has undergone similar experience by HP and their support service center? Because I am collecting all people who have been victimized by HP so that we can call make a collectively affront and expose HP in mass media. I have already collected about a dozen people so far. In case you would like to join this fight against HP kindly mail me at [protected]@yahoo.com I am based in Bangalore and would willingly lead this initiative against HP

                                      Response of a complaint logged in hp support is highly disappointing...even after passage of weeks they take no action...the most strange thing is the training being provided to hp engineers... maximum of the engineers are simply good for nothing....for each nd every step they require assistance of their seniors on ph. nd the most shocking part....on last visit of engineer while he was discussing the problem with the field head of the department , Mr.MUKESH, I heard him saying "give a damn to complaint dnt waste much time for a single complaint if you not able to diagnose it just simple demand for motherboard".....though it was being replaced four days ago.
                                      Hp websites are more useful than their so called engineers and even their heads....
                                      ** on one of my past complaint in ' NOV. 09 ' regarding problem in' TFT ' ...Mr. ARIF who was engineer on visit din't even know the procedure to open the ' TFT ' and gave external defects, broke back side parts of it... speakers still not replaced after passage of 9 months ( JULLY 10)...
                                      ** As the action of last call in "JUNE 10" of NO SOUND and SHADOW in TFT motherboard was replaced by MR. ASHISH, on the day of visit he took another call in between mine...and returned back after 5-6 hrs.. after replacing motherboard he found that it was not the problem of motherboard .... and more over he guided to misguide the hp support on closure call by saying that their was fault in mother board which earlier existed...otherwise he'l be called and asked that irrespective of the fact motherboard was okay then why he replaced...
                                      while he was performing his work he was on his personal phone call...he was so indulged in that what functions he run in system he himself forgot which resulted in some error....in the system due to which there was no display in system....he then accepted the fact that problem occurred because of him and he is personaly liable for that so he demanded one day to correct the fault..... but after that he dissappeared like anything without giving the consumer call report....the replacement of motherboard was not reported in service center..
                                      after hearing the above case service center gave no response took no particular action against that engineer against his negligence..
                                      ** To report back to the consumers is the duty of service center for appropriate action....but unfortunately we as consumers request them to kindly look into respective matters and.....they behave irresponsibly....by saying at present there is no other call on your route so for just a single call we cant assign the engineer...so you have to wait..
                                      ** with almost every complaint a different issue arises...
                                      from the hp support center to hp service centers to their engineers everyone can just shift problems to other department rather than taking responsibility to overcome that problem..

                                      I don't know where should i go for help now..


                                      From the date of purchase till now facing one o the other problem with the hp product, hp service....now regret buying HP product....highly dissatisfied with hp quality..
                                      my work gets seriously effected due to in efficient machine at short intervals....because of the problems suffered due to HP service CAN'T EVER IN FUTURE RELY ON HP.....o suggest anyone else for its products.

                                      I have very mutch trust on hp and also i am useing other 8 product of hp including Destop pc and printers ,but now slowly i lost trust on hp. In this case this is manufacture Defect and co also know that.so company have to replace my laptop mother board at free of cost and also give compensation for my inconviniance .
                                      Frist thing in my life we never use any hp product, never recommended any hp product,
                                      Go to comsumer court.
                                      HP can never improve thier service to customers as it has no interest in that.
                                      recentlyI bought a new hp mini 110-3007TU laptop .After a week i noticed that laptop batter drains heavily even wnhen laptop is in shutdown.A fully charged battery in that laptop bbecomes dead in 3to 4 days if laptop is in shutdown and unused .ie, If I carry this laptop and travel in train from my place to Delhi, by the time i reach delhi laptop will be dead. I reported this to Local HP service center and they discussused with HP team and say that this is normal in any laptop. I took my friends lenevo mini, and I find no such problem.
                                      conclusion:
                                      HP products may not be Q.C test passed.
                                      HP engineers and thier R&D is very poor.
                                      So, I suggest not to buy HP Laptops anymore

                                        Hello,

                                        I was the proud owner of an HP Printer, the details of which are as below:

                                        Model No: HP OJ PRO L7580
                                        Sl. No: MY78N62129
                                        Date of Purchase: 1 Sep 07

                                        Unfortunately I am no more a proud owner of the above printer since 5 Jul 2010. On this day, the printer stopped working as a couple of parts of the printer had fallen onto the top sheet of the paper stack in the paper tray.

                                        The printer was taken to your HP Service Centre at Indiranagar, Bangalore, where I was given to understand that only printers under Warranty will be serviced.

                                        The printer was then taken to Redington India Ltd at Infantry Road, Bangalore and I was shocked to learn the following:

                                        The spares that are dropped into the paper tray cannot be assembled back. As an Engineer myself, I know that such a situation is impossible, especially when the parts are intact and not broken.
                                        Even more shocking was the statement made in writing by Redington (refer attachment) that Spares are not available with them and will not be forthcoming from HP.

                                        In the first instance a printer from a reputed company such as yours should not fail in 35 months. I have other printers from HP which are much older and in good working condition. Secondly, I am surprised as to how HP does not supply spares for a product which is just 35 months old?

                                        Please clarify your stand at the earliest.
