Ok. What do I say now. Suffering since the day I bought this HP pavilion laptop “Special Edition” (HP pavilion dv2700, s/n: 2CE8081LDG, p/n: KP131PA#ACJ, Service tag: dv2762TX). And now finally it has become just a box made of plastic. As all HP pavilion special edition laptops, my laptop too has got a broken hinge, loose speaker wires, and damaged motherboard which makes the screen display in six parts.
The worst part is that the company has gotten so pathetic that the customer support people don’t even tell if I can avail the “One time service enhancement warranty.”
The worst company I have ever come across. And after the worst and so expensive service I received in the initial stages, I am fully ready to initiate a PR plan against HP. I am very much in a mood to pull the image of HP down as much as possible through whatever ways possible. I have been in Public Relation so I don’t think I need to tell you what PR tools I am aware of.
And I will make sure that I defame this company in every way possible- blogs, answers, communities, etc., so that people could stay aware of a fraud company like this which produces faulty devices.

Hi, I am planning to sue HP in consumer forum as despite of keeping my (HP pavilion- special edition) laptop in extremely good condition, the motherboard has got damaged. And on researching I found out that this is a common problem faced by people who have HP laptops. Almost every HP laptop consumer has been through it. Somebody guide me. How do I go ahead with this matter legally?

I too had brought the same laptop along with 6 other friends. Only one in these 7 laptop is working fine. All others got the problem in motherboard and have to spend around 18000 to replace motherboard. The following are some problems experienced.

1. Overheating of laptop (Even though it is a laptop I was not able to use it in my lap)
2. Fast battery drain
3. Junk displays
4. At last motherboard failure.

We too asked for AMC for our model but HP said "HP has stopped providing support for this model" What does that mean?

    I am rakesh rajan from chidambaram. I purchaged pavilion dv5 1217AX model laptop in month of may 2009.
    Now i have battery problem in my laptop. I took my taptop to pondicherry hp service centre on 30.01.2010 where they found battry is poor.As my laptop is in warrenty period ,they told the battery will be replaced within a week but now 15 days are already passed, whenever i call them they says we have no battery, we will inform you when battery comes. I want to know what kind of services you are providing and when i will receive new battery. My token no is NB8 and case no is [protected].

      I submmit my laptopt at RT OUTSOURCING SECTOR 58 NOIDA on 13 fab DUE TO CAPS lock problem. and I recieve my laptop at 27 jan but proble has not solve.so I again submit my laptop at 03 fab but still laptop is not ok.And your employee is not giveing actual date.
      so I am very unsatisfied to YOU if you will not take action on my complained . Then I have yo take support consumar court .And has to use my right because its my comercial laptop .and I have very big loss so pls take action.

        i am a customer of hp.I got one call in 2:34pm([protected]) in sat. day from hp call center and i had talked her in proper manner and again i got one call from [protected](chennai).
        And the person who is calling from above number he was blaming me that you are
        misbehaving with leady customer care and he was given me threaten that you have stuck
        in big problem.And am doing complain every where that what the stupid thing Hp call center is doing.If again i will get call from that number i will take action against hp call center.

          Respected sir / madam
          i have a hp pavillion tablet pc tx2000. Since the adaptor was giving problems i took it to the service centre in Annanagar, Chennai. Even though the product was in its warranty period the service people made me run around for various papers and didnt replace the faulty adaptor even after i gave them the necessary paperwork giving them all the details. After getting totally fed up with all the fuss they were giving me making me run about for so many days and without showing even the slightest inclination to help their customers i went back to the service centre and asked them to just give back my charger so that i could fix it up myself elsewhere or just simply buy another one.
          But these people are so keen to add to your problems that they told me they need a lawyers sign on a bond paper just to give me my own charger back!!! Is this fair in any way??!! They even refused to even show me my own charger when i asked them to show it to me so that i'll atleast know that they have it safe with them.
          ARE SERVICE CENTRES HERE TO HELP OR TO CREATE MORE TROUBLE THAN ALREADY IS???!!!

          please help me get my adaptor back!

            I am having a Laptop of Compaq. I have extended my Laptop's warranty for 1 year by HP Warranty Extension Scheme. Due to mess communication by HP Customer care executive my warranty extends just for 4 month instead of 1 year. As I quires about at they told me that you have to submit your laptop's fitness certificate. After that i have done it. But it is a very long period of 4 months they do not give me certificate of correct date. I am doing regular follow-up to HP but they are not giving proper response now.

            Please help me

              This is complaint against the Airtel GPRS service. I have got Airrtel postpaid connection. In month of Dec i had enabled GPRS for one day , to configure my co-operate e-mail account. after that i had disabled the service. After few days i started getting message like " Thanks for using using Airtel Live you down loaed XXX kb " this message used to pop up every 5 minute. I was confused that why this message is coming without using the service

              At the end of the month when I received the bill . I see that, i have charged heavy ~2000 rupees for this service, which i never used.
              I did give the complaint using 121. Reason given by the airtel was i have downloaded some wall paper .. etc Which is not true.
              I am not going to pay for changes which i have not used
              Please let me know how to processed

                compaq notebook (model CQ-40-317-TU) — poor customer service

                Sir,
                I bought a laptop of compaq model CQ-40-317-TU from Altek solutions,Berhampur ,Orissa.After one month it shows LCD problems.So I had submit that laptop in service center, Blue solutions, Berhampur, which is an authorised service center of compaq notebooks on 19.08.09.There they told that the LCD have to be changed and it will take 10 to 12 days.But till now they have not done that.Whenever I called them they told that parts are not available.So I kindly want you to give it due atttention,

                  Dear All,
                  I purchased a Hp pavilion Notebook 4months back.Now i found one day my Laptop screen comes with a Black screen.i inquired with my friends and colleagues who has got HP laptops and i came to know that many of them are facing the same problem BLACK SCREEN.I contacted with the service center and they said my Motherboard need to be replaced. As my case was falling in warranty period so my Mother Board got replaced.I was lucky ...

                  but not all are...

                  One of my friend was using the same kind of HP Pavilion Laptop which came across same issue at just end of his warranty and finally he has to pay 18k to repair his Laptop.

                  Its a shocking and cheating policy.I think HP is using a very low cadre MotherBoard from some Vendor and selling it.Therefor i would request you to be careful before purchasing HP Pavilion laptop.

                      I have purchased my laptop around 1 yr back. It is out of warranty now. The usage of laptop was less, just like simple desktop only for work.
                      There was some problem with my laptop display, I submitted at HP,Dadar service center. They gave me the quotation of Rs.24,500. Also said this is the problem with max laptops oh Hp and Compaq those have NVIDIA cards. If they already know that there is a problem with the laptops, so they should inform customers and provide them with solution. Now as i have purchased my laptop in approx Rs.40,000 and they expect me to pay Rs.24,500 again after a year for repair.
                      Please help me to get my laptop repaired through HP in discount rates.

                        I booked a HP gas cylinder through their central booking system about 10 days back. When inquired with their agency, M/s Sai Agencies, Koottupatha, Chandranagar, Palakkad, on 4-2-2010, I was told that they have already send the cylinder & it is on the way. When I didn't get it, I asked them and They told that they will deliver it on Saturday, but not done. Today they are telling that it will be delivered on Monday only. After billing the cylinder used to be delivered within 48 hours. But for the past few occasions, I have observed that the gap is more than 3 Days. I doubt that there may be malpractice played by the Agency. May be giving to somebody else, for a profit.
                        I want that this be seriously looked into by concerned officers in the Hindustan Petroleum and remedial measures are taken at the earliest, so that such irregularities in the gas delivery is nipped off.

                        HP COOKING GAS — Delay in getting the cylinder

                        We have applied for the gas on 25th Dec . Its more than 10 days we have not got the cylinder. We have called the customer care person number of times but they don't seem to entertain and give us the proper status .Since last 5 days we are told that today you'll get it . They even cut the phone even before completing the conversation.

                        Very poor service.

                          I just don't understand folks that leave bad reviews. Really. If you purchase a computer that is the wrong computer for your use, then you are the problem. The issue of free with purchase simply means while suppies last on certain models or items. If you have very specific needs on a computer or product, then you should order directly from the manufacturer. We are experts. Not a preconfigured item in a retail setting.

                            DONT TRUST CLASSIC AUTOMOTIVES THE REAL CHEATERS.I took a Hundai Santro from Classic JAYANAGAR branch and in the advetisement its was showing its done with 42,000 kilometre and that deal was done for 2.30 lakhs.when i check the mileage its giving only 9 kilometre and I approached Santro show room for doing server.There record is showing this car has clearly done with more than 1 lakhs kilometre and I came to know these people realign the speedo metre.I called up those people in regular intervals and for last 2 months I havent recieved any feedback.

                            I bought a car Indigo GLX 2005 model from Classic Automotives (Whitefield) in July. This burgers & specially Mr. Pasha cheated me saying that "Trust us, we will always sell you the best product & accident free cars. We never cheat customers". The car looked in good condition from outside and i was lured as i was told that it is a single owner hardly driven, only 40, 0000 kms done. I bought the car paying a high price thinking that it is a good deal.
                            Howeven, when i took the car for sevicing at the Tata authorised service centre, i was shocked to know that the car had already clocked 80, 000 kms in 2009 and no service record after that till 2011. Which means the car had completed 1, 20, 000 kms it was sold to me. When i went back to Classic automotives, complaining about the kms & asking for reimbursement or money back as i was cheated, they told me that they will check with the owner & get back to me. which never happened.
                            I had to visit them daily & finally got the answer that the owner is not ready to reimburse the amount or give any discount. I told them to provide the owner details so that i can speak to him, which they denied. When told that i will log a complaint, i was said in a harsh tone "DO WHATEVER YOU WANT TO, WE WILL NOT GIVE THE MONEY BACK OR NOT PROVIDE THE OWNERS DETAILS."
                            I also called the owner of Classis automotives & he said that he will get back to me after spoeaking to Mr. Pasha, which never happened.

                            Please be aware of these cheaters & any sugestions to help me out of this.

                              Hello,

                              I had purchased a HP pavillion DV2601 TX special edition notebook pc on 11/2007. within a couple of months, the laptop started giving problem, which is primarily a heating problem. during the normal course of operation, it gets over heated and shuts down by itself. till date i have been to HP service centers atleast 5 times, sometimes they replace the motherboard, heat sink, but unfortunately the problem still remains the same. but the sad thing is that they never accept the fact that this particular laptop is having this heating problem, which is probably a manufacturing defect. i have come across many people using the same notebook and facing the same problem. i have no other option now but to fight for this now, as i think a lot of people are suffering for this. please guide me on this.

                                i have launch my complain regarding my hp pavilion desktop on 18th of this month my display was not coming.they assured me and they told that workers will come up to saturday from kota to your house they came .but motherboard which was advised by thein hp engineer going to be come along with them.they took that motherboard but its seal was broken by them,as it was written on the box that seal should not be broken but it was fully opened.i told him that you have changed this equipment but he assured.that it is original one only.but i was not setisfied .when i open my cpu box i saw that pins was broken,and also nut bolt which support motherboard was also lost by them.and also it seems to be old (motherboard).i am not setisfied by them so i want fully assurance from hp owners.my complaint was launched at jaipur service cener.my complaint no was;-CAO897158.so as early as possible...my contact no is [protected],[protected],[protected].

                                  HP Pavilion S 3360 IN Desktop PC S No CNX 7500J7Q was purchased on 09.04.2008. Display on the monitor suddenly disappeared. When contacted HP Support Centre it was advised to get it repaired from HP Authorised Service Centre Redington . The problem has been diagnosed by Redington as a defective Mother board. They took 3 weeks time to get a new mother board from HP Sources but finally expressed their helplessness as there is no stock available even with HP. HP Support Centre also confirmed if Redington is saying that the required mother board is not available, then I should try on my own in the open market. HP Support Ends here saying good bye to less than 2 years old computer. Is that why we go for a branded product even at higher price ? Had it been a local assembled one certainly there would have been a practical solution.
                                  There is an ugly face hidden behind the brand of HP. I have lost some money but gained with the bitter experience.

                                    1. I Major Mohammad Aslam Noor a serving ARMY OFFICER bought a laptop Model No DV 1502TU and Serial no CND949182Q ON 18 JAN 10 from Chhenai on the pretext that I will get a VIDEOCON 22 inch LCD TV under scheme.
                                    2. Presently I m posted in Shillong Meghalaya. I received my laptop through my representstive on 28 jan 10 in shillong.
                                    3. On 29 jan 10 while doing online registration I came to know that the registration has to be carried out in 10 days only.
                                    4. In all the publication and advertisement no where it was mentioned to get online registration with in 10 days of purchase nor even the dealer explained so.
                                    5. Now at the time of online registration it has come to light in the registration form that it is to be done with in 10 days of purchase, which is grossly unfair because customer is not explained during purchase nor in advertisement.
                                    6. you are requested to further guide me , that whom should i approach so that i can avail the offer facility for which very purpose i had bought the laptop of hp company.

                                      i purchased a hp-compaq desktop CQ3040IL some 4 months back with 3 years warranty. but from the first date the PC is having some specific problems.
                                      1. the lcd monitor is having a green spot.
                                      2. the monitor speaker is having very low sound.
                                      3. the DVD drive is having abnormally long access time.

                                      on calling the company helpline, the staff tried to make me understand that those are not problems but standard behaviour. after much discussion he agreed to send the service engineer.
                                      the service engineer after checking the set also said the same word.
                                      finally i contacted the company helpline & asked them to furnish which specification (ANSI, DIN, ISO )they are following for finished product, which he failed to forward me.
                                      is they are covering all their shortcomings in their products as 'standard behaviour'? or they are making a farce of the 3 year warranty?

                                        I purchased a HP DV4 Pavilion from SANINFOTEK, NASIK on 26.10.2008 having serial no. CND83618DT. I am having problem with my laptop for battery backup. I have already given complaints several times regarding my laptop Complaint Nos : CCHSAP241924, CCHSAP242498. From the date of purchase I am having Battery backup problem 3 times. My laptop battery is not getting charged beyond 3%.

                                        First I gave the laptop to the Authorised Dealer. After 3days I got back my laptop saying that the problem have been solved. But after some months i.e. 3-4 months I got same problem again, then again I gave the laptop again to the Authorised Dealer who in turn gave the same to HP Service center at Nasik (SIMTECH COMPUTRONICS (P) LTD, Ph No.[protected] on 02/06/2009 vide their Token No 252 having battery problem. After one day they returned back the laptop after refixing the system board.

                                        The laptop worked properly upto 20/10/2009 and suddenly on 21/10/2009 the same problem started again. Again I handed over the Laptop on 23/10/2009 (within the warranty period) to HP Service Centre at Nasik ( SIMTECH COMPUTRONICS (P) LTD, Ph. No.[protected] vide their token no 966.

                                        Subsequently HP service Center have changed the battery and given back my laptop on 12.12.09. But after using the laptop for some days i.e. on 15.12.2009 it is seen that same problem again started. Then I immediately contacted Mr. Sanjay , HP Pune who was coordinating with me for the above problem.

                                        He immediately took back my laptop and asked me that the laptop will be taken to PUNE for further analysing. Now I would like to mention that I am fad up. It is already completed 3 months, but till date I am not able to get back my laptop. I think 3 month is sufficient time to solve any problem.

                                        As of date already one month completed after taking the laptop back to pune. That means that your experts are also not able to find out the cause of the problem.

                                        Now I am claiming the following from HP :

                                        • I want a new laptop of equal or higher configuration in replacement of the problematic existing laptop and you can make R & D (Research and Development) of the problem with that laptop. Because after getting back this laptop also I will not be confident that this laptop will not give any other problem. I purchased HP laptop taking into consideration that HP has good service network and their product is also of world class.

                                        • I purchased the laptop for my personal home use. Since last 3 months I am not able to use my own laptop. Of course I have been given a standby laptop, but standby laptop cannot be treated as own.

                                        HP — servicing problem

                                        i purchased HP pavilion1210in in 2004 from computer plus Ghatkopar-e, mumbai-83. now i had problem with my cpu/motherboard. they send engg. he make connection & tell me ok. after 1 day i check it was not worked. engg. come next day & tell me it is sparked. they told me your whole cpu is damage u have to replace it with more charges.

                                        HP Laptop — hp laptop battery problem

                                        Dear Sir,

                                        I am Astha Verma residing at Pune.On 29/7/08, I gave my laptop for battery changing at Vintech Electronic System which is a authorized Service Center of Hp in Pune, during that time my laptop was in warranty period.

                                        The last date of warranty was 1/08/08. But my Laptop battery has not changed yet, the people at service center are saying as you have given the laptop two days before the warranty period, so confusion is arising that whether the laptop is in warranty or not.

                                        As per my conversation with Mr.Alok Joshi at Vintech Electronic 15 days back, he said that till now the procedure is going on and within two days we will inform you but till today no reply has come from his side.The details regarding my laptop are

                                        HP — Problem in laptop

                                        I have got a HP Pavilion tx1000 notebook. I have been facing problems with the equipment since last nine months. In the past nine months the laptop was mostly with the service center people. Every time I give the laptop to service center people they will keep it for 10, 15 or even more days and then hand it over back to me. It works well for next 1 month or so and then again the same problem is there.

                                        The service center is 33 Km from my place and the working time of the service center coincides with my working hours. Though I have never faced any difficulty and the staff there is quite cooperative (they even stay back after their closing hour for attending me) but still going 30 Km after coming back from office and that too twice every month is quite a thing. And all that because of same problem.

                                        My notebooks serial no. is CNF711197G, product no. is RU886PA#ACJ.

                                        My friends who too have got the same model are having no problems at all., there notebooks are working fine. So I think this particular piece has got some problems which are being overlooked.
                                        I have even talked to HP call center people and they gave me case reference no. [protected], [protected], CCHSAP203196.

                                        HP Laptop — Problem with system board and HP Customer services

                                        This is with reference to a Laptop (HP Pavilion dv6000 series), purchased in October 2006 from US. Since May 2008, the wireless card of the laptop has not been functioning. When I consulted the HP Service Centre in Bangalore, I was told that the System Board needs to be replaced to fix the problem or, another alternate and cheaper solution would be, to use an external wireless card. So, I purchased an external wireless card accordingly.



                                        Further, on 25th July 2009, the laptop display stopped working. So, I gave my laptop to the HP Authorised Service Centre in Ahmedabad (Ashtech Technologies, Thaltej) and made an initial payment of Rs.1,200 for diagnosis. After a week, I was told that the System board needs to be replaced and it would cost Rs.12,000 (inclusive of taxes). So, on 2nd August 2009, I made the payment accordingly and I was told that the system board would be replaced in a week. But, I finally got my laptop( with the new system board) on 12th August 2009, with a 1 month warranty for the system board. After a week, the wireless stopped functioning and the display was not functioning frequently. So, I again complained to the Ashtech Service Centre on 29th August. They have told me that the system board would be replaced. It has been 15 days since I've asked for the replacement but I haven't got a single call from them.



                                        This being the situation, I'm regretting my purchase of the laptop in the first place, due to all the problems I've been facing. It is disturbing my work and acedemic scheduleand causing too many problems.
