Battery not giving proper backup.

My laptop has its warranty valid till (As per company's records), (Serial Number 2CE73209T3) 18-APR-10.
On contacting the service centre at Jamshedpur, it was told that the concerned laptop warranty date was not available in their system and hence no action was taken.

My friend provided the lappy for the same and his was done within a week ....
