Vertical lines on the Screen

My HP dv5-1104TU laptop is 8 months old with product id-F2730PA.

For last one month its screen has become black with vertical stripes on it. When I contacted HP service centre in Dhanbad, they said its sreen is damaged. They placed the order but it has been a month they have not received the part. Whenever I am contacting tthem, they are answering shortage of parts and so why it has not been shipped yet.

I had a Compaq laptop( Serial No.- CND7352PV2) in oct2007 from Lucknow HP dealer during my PG study there.
