I have an HTC phone which isn't starting up. The nearest service center is at least an hour away from where live in Hyderabad. I tried contacting the service center, they say we can not tell you anything you need to go to the service center. I have tried contacting them many times but no use. The customer service representative agent told me that you can not contact service center you have to go to the center for any issue ! I tried asking the price of the battery (for replacement). He said and confirmed twice that "the price of battery will change depending on the fault". I asked for complaint number, first 4-5 times he said No. You need to go to the site. When I insisted on giving me a complaint number or escalating the call, he gave me this - 14IND[protected]. Seriously HTC, the customer can't talk to the Support about any issue ? And the price of battery may change depending on a fault in the phone.I didn't ask for service charge for fixing my phone's issue. If you don't have or don't want to share the prices of parts just say so, instead of giving such dumb reasons. And such a big company has absolutely no technical support on phone, that's pathetic. I had the exact same issue. Had to go to the Service center for a part replacement, which they didn't have in stock for 2 times. I gave up and got it replaced from an external shop.

I had purchased HTC desire X for my wife as a wedding day gift from Express Avenue Chennai (Universal). 18K+ my warranty period got over just one month back. When visited HTC authorised service center (TVS Elec- Gemini parson Chennai) i was told mother board required to be replaced and the cost is 8000rs. Trust me that i have not done any physical damage. just the phone is not switching on by its own. My sincere advice please dont buy any of the HTC products. the quality of the parts used are not good. Their main service center is a night mare, they dont even have a phone number. their response is absolutely third rated. Regards Srinivasan [protected]

Since long I have been HTC loyalist and seem for long I am going to be HTC critics now . This paradigm shift less has to do with machine and more to machinery . Few months back bought HTC desire vc and problems begins . Phone getting hot while talking, getting hang so much that takes 1 min time to connect a call, disappearing either of networks, display etc so on and so forth . Given cell 3 times times to service center, no standby cell provided, no definite time to return it, each time formatting n losing data etc .horrible part in all instance is that call centre, customer care, emails ...all had just a lip sympathy . Got same revert for different mails and concerns . This company proved to be so insensitive that I got mails, which been written and addressed to other customers but sent to me . When I saw mail addressing previously Mr kadel and than Mr Gupta, Mr Sharma etc, got a feel that this company and concern staff gives a dam care to customers.when addressing has issue for 5 times, contnets of mails can't expected with substances . Even few mails they found issue in cut copy paste also, hence sent Blank . Should I write only to consumer court or matter should be taken to govt of India to decide wether such company should operate in India or not . 20, 000 is neither a big amount nor a small one when it comes to a middle class like me . But my grevience should not be resolve to my cell resolution but until I come to know that company has some concerns for its customers . Primary need is a proper escalation matrix, a nodal officer and finally some senior directors, may be Indian and Taiwan CEO because reaching to consumer court should not give a restropection to such a esteem company. they must not take India n its consumer for granted .

Its been almost five months since I bought HTC One. I was very happy and delighted for the smart phone because this was the first time I was going to own it and that too after spending a very good sum of money, but all my expectations got shattered when I started using this phone. Within days o[censored]se, issues started emerging out with problems like pinkish tint in camera, complete accessories malfunction etc. So I gave the phone for repairing. The service centre personnels repaired the phone but gave me back after 2 weeks. It had just past 3 days then a new issue emerged of vibration where phone will vibrate when pressed at the back or it will vibrate frequently at any random moment kept idle. There emerged the problem of charging where it will take around 9 hours to charge the phone. So once again I went to the service centre(Service centre is around 15 kms from my place). They took my phone gave it back to me after reparing in 4 days . And when I started using it, I found that they have not fixed the vibration issue and the phone which i got back was still having this issue. I have already talked to the customer support team many times and they always advice me to go to the service centre. Have I bought the phone for visiting the service centres? Have I bought HTC so called flagship phone with so much money just for facing problems, visiting service centres, talking to the customer care ? Now when I flash back, I regret for the time when I bought this faulty HTC One. I totally feel that I should have gone for an iPhone or Google's Nexus. Just hope for my phone to behave normal.

I had bought 2 HTC handsets HTC desire X and HTC desire C on 18/01/2013 from Mobile Store Ahmedabad. Both the handsets do not work properlty and till now I have visited the hatc service centre in Ahmedabad 4-5 times in 2013. Neither have I received any proper answer nor my handsets were repaired properly. Every time I gave my handset in service centre I would recieve the same with more problems. Faults such as handset hangs very often and applications do not open and there are many more. My warranty period is going to end soon n yet I have not received a proper reply. I expect reply asap.

Sir/Madam, I had bought HTC desire 501 phone from a retailer in delhi just before shifting to pune, i noticed the phone has manufacturing defect. The LCD screen is coming out from bottom of phone. So i registered complaint on htc customer care. They asked me to take phone to pune service centre and take DOA certificate from there as the phone is just 2 days old and as per company's policy i can get phone relaced upto 14 days after obtaining DOA certificate. But pune service centre is not giving me DOA certificate saying retailer is from different state. On the contarary company should give me same service anywhere in country. I again complained customer care which keeps changing stand. So i request you to help me in registering complaint against HTC under consumer protection act. I bought my mobile “HTC Desire SV “on 28th of Jan 2013, Priced 20, 099 rupees. IMEI No. of the device was : [protected] I used it approx for 3 months. I started facing following problems: 1. Speakers of handset were not working properly 2. My phone was getting charge properly 3. Phone was getting switch off once I start using 2-3 applications at a time Then I complained to HTC service center & they asked me to submit the device First Time So I submitted my device on 31st of May 2013 at Thane, Bombay service center. Ticket no. of my first complaint is 13INA[protected]. I got my mobile back within 15 days. But none of the issues were solved for which I have complained. Then again I called up to HTC service center. They wanted me to submit my device once more. Second Time Second time I submitted my device on 10th of June 2013 at Surat, Guajart Service Station Ticket no. of my second complaint is 13INA[protected]. Again I got my device after 20 days. It Worked well for 15 days, after that it started troubling with same nature of problems. I Companied third time to HTC service center . Third Time Third time I submitted my device on 20th of July 2013 at Vadodara, Gujarat service center. Ticket no. of my third complaint is 13INA[protected]. Third time, company decided to give me a replacement with new “Desire SV” against my faulty device. After 20 days I got the brand new (as per HTC) device with new IMEI no.: [protected]. Hold on………… Story does not end here. After using brand new device for 2 months … I started facing following problem 1. My device was getting switched off by it’s own any time Initially this happened once in a weak. Then the frequency of this problem increased to 3-4 times a day. Then again I called up HTC Customer care. They suggested me to use my device in “SAFE MODE”. I used my device in safe mode for 24 hours as per their suggestion. But my phone got switched off even in same mode. It means there is some problem with the device. If would not have switched off in SAFE MODE, then my there is problem with third party application, as per HTC Technical team. So we hace reached to a conclusion that there is a problem with the device. Fourth Time So fourth time I submitted my deice on 14th of Dec 2013 at Surat, Gujarat, service center. Ticket no. of my second complaint is 13INA[protected]. At the time of submission I was highly unsatisfied with HTC quality. I was very frustrated with HTC . Then I asked HTC to choose two options 1. Give my all money back 2. Or replace my device with HTC Desire 600, which is having almost same features & it’s present price is approx rupee 19, 000. In place of my Desire SV priced rupees 20, 000. Unfortunately they have sent back the same device which I have submitted. This time I asked them to let me know what exactly the problem found with the device & what corrective actions they are going to take. They haven’t done anything; they have just reinstalled the soft ware and gave me back. I don’t know what to do now?? My warranty period is going to complete on 28th of Jan 2014, means within 28 days. Dear Sir / Madam I bought my mobile “HTC Desire SV “on 28th of Jan 2013, Priced 20, 099 rupees. IMEI No. of the device was : [protected] I used it approx for 3 months. My warranty period is going to complete on 28th of Jan 2014, means within 28 days left. Please help me out…. Regards Ashish Kariya

One night my mobile got switched off and when we saw it in the morning the screen was broken into pieces. I had bought this mobile for Rs 47, 500 (in March 2013) and within 5 months it had this issue. When I went to the HTC service station they were just not ready to accept that the screen was automatically damaged at first. However when they checked it and go to know that the battery was faulty and they had to replace it, that is when they said that MAY BE the screen too got damaged because of the battery explosion internally. But they still refused to do it under warranty because they said that they were not sure that this was the reason. To get the mobile repaired I had to pay Rs 9800. When I contacted HTC for this issue, they asked me for my IMEI number to check the details of this job against their service center. Few days later they reply me saying that "Please get the repairs done from a service center. Since this is an external damage it is not covered under warranty" Now this reply made me wonder whether did HTC even bother to check my details with service center, since I had already got my mobile repaired? After being helpless I could do nothing. However yesterday again I had to submit my mobile again to the HTC service center since it is again not getting charged. The HTC service center says that the battery AGAIN needs to be changed. Now this clearly shows that the battery used in HTC BUTTERFLY X920D is pathetic. It keeps getting damaged in a span of every 2-3 months. I need a replacement for my mobile immediately. Customers do not earn money to invest in such pathetic mobiles after paying Rs 47500, which is a huge amount. Consumers/Users: NEVER buy HTC products. The products are pathetic and their services too. They give warranty on products but put their hads up when the customer is in problem. After I putting in such a big amount they harrased me, so think before investing in HTC. - Sanobar

It's been more than 2 months since HTC is making me run in the circle's The issue is with huge pink tint in HTC One camera, the customer service is making everyone fool that HTC software upgrade will solve this issue and same resolution was given to me but after getting the update almost 1 month, the issue still persist and now i got a call from HTC escalation department informing me that its a manufacturing defect in HTC camera and they are already aware of it, and wola they were making all o[censored]s fool telling software update will solve it. I had a discussion with someone named Irshad numerous times who is working in HTC Escalation department regarding my HTC one phone's manufacturing defect. I am really annoyed on the response from HTC side. I am feeling horrible to hear that HTC has sold defected phones intentionally and later on customer are forced to get it repaired from service center. I am just wondering after spending amount closer to world's most renowned brand like Apple, services delivered by HTC are really pathetic and tactics are unethical. To bring to everyone attention, I was told by your team that you only have repair policy instead of replacement, I would have understood your policy if the phone's problems happen after sale, how can you sell a phone with manufacturing hardware issues and lack of quality checks. I am very much disappointed with so many repeated conversations and now I am looking for legal options to sue HTC, also lodging a complain in consumer court for the unethical business and continuous mental harassment

I bought a HTC One S (IMEI [protected]) smart phone on 12th February, 2013 from Univercell, Express Avenue, Chennai for Rs 27, 396/-.This phone worked without issues just for a few weeks from the date of purchase. Problem 1 (March 2013) Some time during March the phone was not receiving the mobile signal properly and the home screen button use to get stuck many a time. I gave it for service at the HTC Service Centre, Anna Salai, Chennai. The service centre resolved this problem by reinstalling/updating the software. Problem 2 ( September 2013) During September the problem of struck home button resurfaced along with the problem in music player. Again I gave the phone to the same service centre for repair. They claimed to have solved this problem by replacing the touch panel. But later I found the speaker of the phone was not functioning well and it was very noisy. However, considering the pain it will take for me to approach the service centre I kept using the phone. We even tweeted about the problem on 24th September for which [protected]@htc stopped giving replies. Problem 3 (November 2013) During November the LCD screen was not working and became blank. I again want to the service centre in Chennai and gave it for repair (Q2S[protected]). They solved the problem by replacing the LCD again as well as the mother board, and collected the phone from the service centre on[protected]. When I asked the service engineer, about why the phone given problems so many times even when it is new. They said all the problems as been sorted out as they have replaced the mother board and LCD. However, on the same day I found that the ON/OFF button needs to be pressed very hard to activate the screen. However, I continued to use the phone. Problem 4 (December 2013) On[protected] the phone got switched off and which could not be switched on. I handed over the phone again to the service centre, where they inspected the phone and say that the mother board to be replaced again. They have collected the phone and said it will be returned after repair in 5 days. (Q2S[protected]). So now phone in service centre again!! I am sure this is not going to solve my problem as they have replaced mother board and LCD just THREE weeks before!!! I never expected a phone from a company like HTC will develop problems SO MANY TIMES even during the warranty period. I very strongly feel that this phone has manufacturing defects and I am not at all satisfied with the repair being carried out by replacing the parts. Even after replacing the mother board and LCD, within 10 days the phone is not working. Further, each time I was asked to bring the Purchase Receipt (Original) as well as a photo copy. This is very annoying for a customer (reminds me of applying for ration card/passport). I am very sure this practice can not be followed by HTC in other countries in America and Europe. The service centre works from 10 am to 6 pm, which is highly inconvenient for the customers as at two times I need apply for LEAVE from my work place to go to the HTC service centre. Having sold me the defective phone, which is evident from the replacement of the parts 4 times within 9 months from the date of purchase and the suffering I have undergone (by visiting the service centre eight times and spent over 20 hours for this and being without phone for 16 days during service), I request the HTC to arrange for immediate replacement of my phone. Hence, I request HTC to arrange for replacement of my phone with a NEW PHONE. Thank you.
HTC customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

                                        Address: Kolkata, West Bengal

MODEL: HTC Desire U Dual SIM S/N: ht35mpg00145 IMEI: [protected] Part No: 99HTZ010-00 Ticket no. 13INA[protected] Job no: CCU[protected] With reference to the above I have handed over the handset to a HTC Service centre, 55 Manictala Main Road Bagmari North Road, kolkata-700054 and they said that it will be send to Bangalore for repairing. It is surprising that my handset which has purchased on 06/06/2013 has already visited service centre two times and this time they said it will take 10 to 15 days to repaire instead of giving assurance of replacement. So my question is where is its brand value? within 5months set got dead previouly it was functioning slow and becoming hot i[censored]sed more than 10 to 15 minutes and at the of charging. So i am scared of thinking that what is going to happened after 1 year, the warranty period. So i really seek your valued service in this regard and need replacement of the hand set with warranty,
