My name is Kishor N. Jashnani and I am a HEAD - HR & ADMIN. with Spanish Company - Rinder India Pvt. Ltd. at Chakan, Pune. I bought a brand new HTC Desire SV phone at price Rs-19000/-. After using it for a 3~4 months, after my travel during 22nd May 2013 to 4th June 2013 from Pune -Delhi - Beas, Punjab - Pune, I figured a problem with the handset that the screen has gone blank, the phones received were giving echo sound. The moment I returned to Pune I went to the nearby service center (Galaxy, Pimpri, Pune). They submitted my device for sending it to the Technical service center Mumbai and told me that they would intimate me shortly about the repair status. The Service Centre has written "Not able to Power ON", which was wrong, therefore I did not sign the Job Sheet prepared by the Service Engineer & refused to accept the terms and conditions. As a protest against this act of mine, after a week, I got mail from them asking Rs 7961/- for the repair of the phone. They told me that there is liquid damage and some parts needed to be replaced. When I asked for the details of the repair, they sent me that quotation. I refused to pay them anything because my phone was still under warranty but they refused. I wanted a replacement of my phone at first and they refused it. Later I found under the warranty norms that company is liable to replace phone only if they were unable to repair the phone. So I wanted them to repair my phone Free of Cost but they refused it to.
After so many efforts of futile conversation with Customer Care and Service Centre people I felt so depressed and mentally harassed. Then one day I accepted & approved their Quotation as they were holding my handset with them. The handset which was given on 6th June 2013 was collected by me on 29th June 2013, but to my surprise they did not return the damaged parts replaced in my handset. Today, while surfing on the internet I came to know about AKOSHA and I am submitting my Complaint against Bharti Airtel to Akosha, that HTC has never replaced any parts on my handset and looted me therefore i humbly submit that ; (1) The repaired handset should be replaced (2) The amount of Rs.7961/- collected from me to be refunded.
