I booked my Singapore - Chennai - Pune Indigo international flight Ticket through Goibibo mobile App for Rs. 28, 972/- for the travel date 30thNov’19. The full payment was made and tickets delivered. On 28thNov’19, as my stay in Singapore needed extension, I rescheduled my flight again through Goibibo mobile App. I choose Singapore- Chennai -Pune Indigo flight for 17thDec’19 for Rs.19300/- approx.
The rescheduled flight was cheaper by Rs.9, 600/- and after deduction of reschedule charges Rs.4500/- as per Goibibo policy my refund amount approximately was shown as Rs.5100/-. My booking went through and Rs. -5100/- (Rupees minus Five Thousand one Hundred) was to be paid for booking (shown negative as the amount was to be refunded from total paid amount Rs.28972/-). The payment ID was generated (Payment ID : GOFLIANDd68e[protected]). Please find the snap of “Payment done” with ALERT mentioned as “your tickets are being loaded; please find the payment reference ID”.
As the payment ID was for negative amount, the system did not direct me to payment getway.
On the next day, i.e. on 29th Nov19, I checked the ‘Status’ on the link provided on Goibibo website by entering both - the phone no. & the payment ID - where in it clearly showed in green colour at the bottom as “Booking in process” for the rescheduled flight on 17th Dec’19. This Snap is also attached herewith.
The status shown as “Booking in process” authenticates that my requested reschedule booking had gone through as entered by me and that it was the job of Goibibo team to further generate refund of earlier booked flight. Also, that the booking has gone through and now it was the work of backend operations team to tag the Payment ID/amount to the rescheduled flight as per my request.
To my surprise, on the 30thNov19, I received text sms from Indigo about flight timing as per earlier booking of 30thNov19. I brought the matter to notice of Goibibo through phone call/mail and also mentioned the matter in the management support link but no one contacted till now shows that the management does not believe in customer and is a typical bania running after money.
I would mention here that on providing payment ID details to the technical team (Mr. Sumeet Ratti) they even went on to cancel the payment ID from their system and so after 2 or 3 days the tracking against payment ID was not visible. They denied any wrong from their end and held me responsible for the matter. They avoided providing any information of the generated “payment ID” or the “booking in process” snaps. I have sent reminder mails as per SR no. 3025596 but are not answered by the Goibibo team.
I did not receive the rescheduled flight ticket as per my request and had to book one separately. I am at utter loss of Rs.28, 972/- due to incompetency of Goibibo technical/operations team & systems which I request refund from Goibibo.
Ibibo Group / Goibibo customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
IRCTC never asks your personal bank account details through call. If you received any call in this
regard, please do not share your bank related credentials.
