This is to highlight a breach of trust, harassment and cheating that has happened in my booking via goibibo, despite paying a premium for the connection guarantee.

Please note despite having a connection guarantee i am getting no refund for the chennai colombo flight which is missed due to cancellation of the first leg for no fault of mine. Please find below the details

The itinerary

I was supposed to travel from mumbai to colombo with my friend from the following connecting flights (Please note both o[censored]s have the exact same itinerary):
Mumbai - chennai: 22nd december, departure 7:30 pm: indigo airlines 6e 675
Chennai - mumbai: 23rd december, departure: 12:05 am: spice jet

What happened (The events below are stated for both mine and my friends situation as i was talking for both)
22nd december: 1:06 pm
The mumbai chennai flight got cancelled and i received a message from the airlines that the flight has been cancelled. Please note no prior intimation was given for this.

22nd december: 1:32 pm
After contacting goibibo customer service, (Service request id:[protected] the customer care executive registered my complaint and scheduled a call within 15 minutes to resolve my situation. Please note that this was after approximately 15 minutes of waiting where the customer care executive was not even aware that the flight has been cancelled.

22nd december: 1:58 pm
The customer care executive calls me back and gives me 2 options:
Option 1 - cancel the mumbai chennai leg with full refund guarantee.
Option 2 - cancel the mumbai chennai and the chennai colombo leg with full refund as per policy and alignment with his supervisor.

Harassment: despite requesting for an alternate flight. No effort was made by the executive to try and resolve my situation. Please note that this was outrageous and led to severe stress and trauma.

22nd december: 2:15 pm
The customer care executive then tells me that he can only cancel the domestic leg and i will need to cancel the international leg on another hotline. On asking what the total refund amount would be he said he can only give me an answer for the domestic leg.

Harassment: all alternate flight options meant i would need to pay an extra 20, 000 inr. Without the clarity on total refund amount i could not choose what to do next. You executive instead of helping me redirected me to another hotline, which meant it took more time to get clarity and the fares increased further. At this point i was close to a nervous breakdown due to the severe nature of harassment and breach of trust.

22nd december: 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm (Approximately)
I talk to the international customer care (Service request id[protected] and they tell me that i am eligible for a full refund. On requesting the amount, the executive asked me to cancel my domestic leg first and in the meanwhile she will initiate the cancellation proceedings with spice jet and call me back.

Harassment: i was forced to again call the domestic leg! Despite being on call for over a hour and a half. I told the executive how harassed i was feeling but no response.

I then called the domestic service executive again - who again went through the entire process, i. E. First the executive told me that she is not aware that the flight is cancelled, then she spoke to the supervisor and then agreed to cancel my ticket.

Post this i received a call from the international leg customer care executive and she told me that the flight has been cancelled and refund will be initiated. She took the cancellation otp from me to finalize the cancellation.

Final harassment, cheating and trauma - i received a message from go ibibo that i am getting 0 refund for my chennai colombo flight. This is despite the commitment given by your executives and a me paying a premium of a connection guarantee. Not to mention the last-minute ticket booking for an alternate flight which costed me an additional inr 25, 000 per head and a total amount of approximately inr 50, 000 for the 2-affected people.

Currently i am in severe mental trauma because of this and need your help to get this query resolved.

1. To suppose to travel does mean you have a valid e-ticet / confirmed reservation, which are not attched

2. The valid complaint have to demonstrate
- full name of auther, addres, email, (note the population of India is more than 1, 3 bln)
- addrssse - legal entity
- desription of the event (lets suppose the are given)

3. you stated "despite having a connection guarantee I am getting no refund for the chennai colombo flight".
it is unclear the good reason, why unknown person must give you unidentified refund from his pocket in unidentified sircumstances.

4. So called "Goibibo" and other Indian travel agencies violate law time to time and make damage to their customers. It is a common practice in travel inductry.
But I did not see any complaint at this site, which proves 100% that damage is sustaned and proved at leat in theory.
Laso you did not produce any documnet which show value odf damage 25000 or 50000 rs according to your text.

5. The air carrier and travel agent responsibilities for desribed case (there are signs of fault) are limitted by Indian law.

If you fairly belive that you have experinced the damage and you with he compensation, I can advise you to save
1. The above text of the "proforma of the complaint"
2. Your each boarding pass
3. Your each reservation issued by travel agent
4. Each e-ticket
5. Each receipt (if value more than 1000) due to cancellation/ delay of your reserved and paid flight, according to you.
6. each your complaint.
7. each reply / refund / invoice.
and to keep thse documents at least 6 months till you have accumulate money for the legal case, if you decide so..

You can submit the complaint at the site either "Goibibo" or at the site of air carrier with th exact request in 1-2 sentances.

If your claim will not be satisfied in full in 15-16 days,
you can hire a legal professional,
who is able to create and to fill the complant with the local court for your future compensation.
Be ready to pay for legal services:
-govenmen fees : range[protected]
- legal assitanse of fair legal professional ; range from[protected].
Plus your own addtional efforts.

The fair court shall award legally prove losses, moral harm, paid fees. charges by judgement.
The procedure can continue 2-3 years

    I booked a hotel on goibibo. My goibibo hotel booking id is htlyu5satv. I booked a room for 3 adults and on contacting with the hotel front desk i came to know the following shocking truths :
    1. Only 1 double bed is provided whereas we were promised of an extra bed along with a double bed.
    2. We paid 23387 and the hotel staff confirmed that they received a payment of 21660. So where did the remaining money go?

      The stay was booked and confirmed a day ago, however, when i contacted hotelier he said he did not receive any booking from ibibo and nothing has been booked. Also, there was no room available.
      It was a room facility and the alternative property which was offered by goibibo was a camp site which was never preferred but as there was no other option available i had to go for that.
      This was worst as it messed up the time and experience for new year.

        I had booked suv cab for five people borivali railway station from hotel punchratna sangamvadi pune on 01jan 2019 our depart time was 4 pm at 3:45 we call to driver (Driver detail provided by sms) to reach in time he said car is on the way but till 4:15 cab was not reached so we try to call him again but his num was switch off so we try to call goibibo helpline num after 20-25 mints call was connected to your executive he said car is breakdown so not able to reach now we are trying to arrange anther cab from 4;35 to 6:45 cab was not arranged and i have to reached borlivali at 8;30 because i have to take train from borivali to rajkot because of goibibo we five people missed our train

          Hi,

          I book a hotel in puri booking id is htl3xe5zwu. First of all i want to mention why i booked the hotel. I wanted a decent see facing room with ac, good communication.in reality there was no mobile and data network in the room, no frequent public communication, no stationary shop, no medicine shop. Every time i wanted to receive a call, i had to go out side of the hotel. I had to waited for long time for an auto or riksha, event hotel staff told us there was no wifi connection. I had paid the whole hotel fare 11500/- at the time of booking the hotel through goibibo. Once i faced the problem i checked out the hotel. But goibibo is telling now the problem that we faced is not related to hotel. So they do refund the money. I provided them all the photos those are enough to proof my claim. After investigating they are ready to refund the 25% of the hotel fare. But i demand for 75 % of the hotel fare. Goibibo are demanding themselves as a intermediate between the customer and hotel. But i booked the hotel through goibibo. I came to know about the hotel through goibibo website. But they do not want to take the responsibility for my harassment. After checking out from the hotel, i had to move into a another hotel of the same amount of fare with all the facility that i wanted to have. Once i faced the problem i immediately checked out from the hotel. They should check the hotels and surrounding of the hotel before permitting the hotel management to post the hotel details on their website.

            I had booked a hotel in Mumbai for one day from 31st december 2018 to 1st January 2019 from goibibo site for my niece who is 17 years old.
            When my Niece arrived at the hotel he was not allowed to enter and was denied to stay stating they are underage and as per policy we cannot allow them to stay.

            I had checked the same on the goibibo page and under the Hotel Policy section that if there was anything mentioned regarding underage and any policy which stated that you will not be allowed to stay if you are not above 18 years.
            But there was nothing written and that was the reason I had booked the hotel without looking further.
            I only intend for a refund of the booking which I had done as its total hotel fault and not mine so why should I take the hit and hotel stands there with no harm done.
            I am also attaching the hotel policy section image for the proof that nothing was written as such.

              I had booked a go car and received confirmation that my booking is confirmed however i got a call from one of the executives just 2 hours b4 that there is no car available on that route
              Last min i asked if they can help me with some air tickets rather me searching online and the team could not assist me.

              Irony was the driver calls me in the morning and said "i had slept and couldn't come can i come now"
              If the team would have given me driver details i would have somehow chased
              Him in the evening and continued my journey
              Now i ve still not got any refund
              The ivr says we are experiencing a high call volume and there is no response on the ticket as this journey is not on the list

              Need immediate assistance

                I have booked a hotel room in munnar, kerala, via goibibo for the new year 31 dec 2018 to 1 jan 2019 and paid the full amount online.
                Everything was fine, and due to my bike issue reached the hotel late.. As i have already informed via chat.
                Goibibo has given a contact number fot the hotel which were the oyo number, and they said they cant track as booking is doñe by goibibo.

                The main consirn starts here, while reaching the hotel, there was no reception, i found somehow the watchman, and he said the hotel is no more. Its been acquired by pwd department.
                Everything was same, including the hotel name, pic,... I will attach the pics...
                And unfortunately, they have spoiled my new year.

                So, it was the fake booking. I end up with finding other hotel and managed somehow.

                  I booked a group ticket for 5 people on 2-December-2018 for travel date 3-May-2019. There was a slight mistake observed in a passenger's surname. I checked the option on Goibibo's website and fortunately I found that; however post doing all the processes I received a call from Goibibo and that lady told that this correction can't be done.                   My profile on GOIBIBO shows a wrong email ID ([protected]@dummymobemail.com).
                  This is NOT my email ID & I have no idea as to how it got associated with my GOIBIBO account.

                  GOIBIBO is NOT allowing me to EDIT / CORRECT my email ID when I log into my account. Stating it does not allow you to edit / change the email or phone number due to technical reasons!!! (Please see attached Photo)

                  PLEASE ASK THEM TO CORRECT THE SITUATION ASAP.

                  I DO NOT KNOW HOW ELSE TO CONTACT THEM.

                  If any Fraudulent activity takes place in my account, GOIBIBO will be totally and completely responsible for the same.

                      My name is meera and this mail is in regards to the booking done in may 2018 for flight flight no ai174, pnr : hfl9s.
                      This was my first time when i was traveling with a pet, before booking the flight i had called the air india customer care and asked all my doubts and then i had booked the flight with air india. As i had to carry my pet in the cabin as she weighed less than 5 kgs (She was just 6 months old pup). So as per the air india policy for carriage of the pets in the cabin i had all my documents ready, however, no one informed me to be at airport 3 hours prior to my flight.
                      I reached airport 1 and a half hour prior to my flight and i asked for my boarding pass. I was told to wait and i kept on waiting. I was given my boarding pass 25 minutes before boarding starts and they didn't allow me to board the flight.
                      I requested everyone for letting me board the flight as i had my boarding pass with me and pet had to travel in cabin with me. While waiting for that long at the airport, everyone was sending me to some or the other person. They asked me to wait till the pilot comes and confirms my onboarding. I saw pilot talking to one of the executives about my case but they didn't take any further actions.
                      The pilot seemed to be okay with me carrying a pet as i heard him talking to the executive. As i am a frequent flyer with a pet now. I know all the policies.
                      I would like to claim for the refund which is rs.17, 844/. I have lost the copy of my boarding pass which was given to me. I had written a mail to air india but they asked me to write back to you.

                      Their mail says "we regret that we are unable to assist you as the ecommerce section is equipped to provide web support for bookings made on our website, www.airindia.in only."

                      Goibibo is the worst of all. I have never experienced such support from any other website. They are such losers. They don't even know how to work on a query. Even after raising multiple complaints and service tickets, they close everything without even notifying me. You will always reach the IVR whenever you call their customer care support. What pathetic service I would say. Since December they couldn't resolve my issue. All they do is reply you on a email asking the same question 10000 times. I would suggest to go for MakeMyTrip or any other portal to book your tickets but not these LOSERS!!! I lost 17000 and they are least bothered. That's how they are making money. But for how long can you exist in the market if the services are so poor.

                      It's not resolved yet. What kind of pathetic service are you guys providing.
                      Such type of complaints are unclear as no documents are seen:-
                      - name of passenger,
                      - e-ticket
                      - e-ticket / receipt for the pet
                      - boarding passes, which show flight number and date+time
                      - prove of loss (examle, you have bought an item in addition), if you have it.
                      - place / time / airport where the incident had happned
                      - what was the exact falt of the air carrier.

                      If you need the compensation of 17000+ rupees,
                      you need to submit the correct complaint with the exact requesites,
                      desription of the facts,
                      attched documents of loss, if you have it and the exact request (I want 17000 ruppes due to ...).
                      The air carrier has 15 days for the decsicion on the compenstion or for its refusal
                      following the receipt of the correct complaint.
                      Note, it is usless to request the same subject matter more than 2 times from the same service provider.

                      All disputes in 15 days following the correct complaint receipt are subject of the examination by Indian court.
                      The expected expences for legal assitance can be:
                      - government fees [ from 2500 rupees ],
                      - legal fees for assistance of a lawyer or of legal professional [from 10000 rupees for your case, if in India]
                      The court shall award the proved losses, moral compensation, paid fees by the final decsion.

                      As it was my first time when I was traveling with a pet, I was given the boarding pass but they didn't ask me to get a receipt for the pet till the last moment. I know that we have to pay as per the weight of the pet. I struggled so much that day. The supervisor on the counter made me wait for 1 hour and at last I was told that I had to be on airport 3 hours prior to my flight. Which doesn't make sense to me now, as my pet had to travel in cabin. If at all the pet was traveling in cargo I would've had understood the situation. Now I know the whole procedure to carry a pet in Air India. I had attached the E-ticket in my first mail itself, second thing the incident took place on the same day I had booked the tickets for and just half an hour prior to the departure I was given my boarding pass but I wasn't allowed to board the flight. I did contact Air India for the refund multiple times but I wasn't guided properly, the ticket was also booked through a third party ( an agent) so I couldn't raise a complaint through the goibibo portal itself.

                      Goibibo customer care service is not reachable at all. I always reach IVR.
                      Could never connect to any of the customer care executives.

                      I did google a lot and then I could find this portal.

                      You attached the e-ticket which confirms that the Air India air carrier (and operaor of iBibo) had recognized you as the passenger for 14MY2018 Air India 174 flight.
                      But there is no prove that you had paid for the transprtation of your pet.
                      The Air India requeres to have ticket for the pet, which is not seen here.
                      Where is a ticket for the pet?

                      If you had not paid ticket for the transportation of pet, the air carrier had no duty to transport the pet without the ticket.
                      It looks that you refused to present the pet before the counter for the checkin procedure for Air India 174 flight on 14 May 2018. It is a kind af the deception.
                      Such complant has no grounds.
                      So show the coy of ticket (or the ar carrier miscelenious document) for the trasnportation of the pet.

                      Moreover, nobody has a duty to provide legal consulting service free of charge in order to help to the author to get 17000 rupees

                        I am very disappointed from goibibo customer services. When i called to customer care every time they put call on hold then never come back or disconnect the call. I called many times for my refund but every time they told that your refund is under process still after 8 days. Once i received an email about refund has been transferred but not reflected in bank account. Again i raised complaint about same and recieved an email stated that your refund is under process from airline due to you are fall under special case.
                        Worst service provider for travel. Never recommended anyone to use goibibo.

                        I booked a group ticket for 5 people on 2-December-2018 for travel date 3-May-2019. There was a slight mistake observed in a passenger's surname. I checked the option on Goibibo's website and fortunately I found that; however post doing all the processes I received a call from Goibibo and that lady told that this correction can't be done. You need to cancel the ticket. It was actually surprising however, I thought that the cancellation and rebooking can be another good option. I asked to proceed for the same but the gentleman told that the cancellation charge is 100% and you won't get refund of the ticket. Within a day when I booked the ticket that too for 6 months later I was told that I will not get any refund. It was very disappointing as it is my hard earned money. I contacted their higher management but all in vain, they too had the similar solution that I will get 0 refund. I thought their CEO certainly can look into the matter but he has never replied to any of my emails out of 10 which I sent to him since 6th December. I would urge you to please look and assist in this regards.

                        because no prove of flight is seen:-
                        - name of passenger
                        - flight number,
                        - e-ticket,
                        - boarding pass,
                        - any prove of loss which author had got, expressed in figures.

                        Following 15 days of your correct complaint receipt by air carrier,
                        the case on losses against air carrier shall be considered by local court only.

                        If the author does not know the procedure of the complaint to the air carrier / to the court
                        the author need to hire a laywer or legal professional for the case preparation.
                        usually : from 4000 ruppes for simple cases + own efforts, max 25000 rupees for complecated cases.

                          My pnr is tcmq5p, i had a travel booking with goibibo on december 8'2018 from toronto to delhi and i wasn't allowed to board my flight cause of schengen transit visa that was required for transit. When i was booking there was no mention of transit visa requirements else i would have never troubled myself with such a bad ticket choice. However when i had called the helpdesk about the same on the day i wasn't allowed to travel i was assured of being given some relief or rescheduling my booking for the same. It's such disgraceful professional behaviour that i have been calling and explaining every time to a new person on helpdesk about the same issue and nobody from the helpdesk had the courtesy to call me back with a solution about the same. It's been 20 plus days and there is no end to my plight. Such a pathetic and unprofessional team goibibo has on customer care.

                          The passenger is responsible for the correct documents on board (passport, visa).

                          This complaint is unclear as no documents are attached:-
                          - name of passenger,
                          - airpport of the refusal on board,
                          - e-ticket
                          - boarding passes, which shows flight number and date+time, if it is issued, otherwise explain the reason.
                          - reasonable prove of loss, if you know it, for examle, you have bought anything due to delay for more than 500 rupees.

                          There is a standard compensation is foressen by law due to illegal refusal on board by air carrier.

                          The air carrier has 15 days (India ) or 30 days (in Canada) for the satisfaction of the compensation or for its refusal following the receipt of the complaint.
                          Note, it is usless to request the same subject matter more than 2 times from the same air carrier.

                          All disputes in 15 / 30 days following the correct complaint submission and its receipt are subject of the examination by local court.
                          The expected expences for legal assitance can be:

                            I booked my ticket Delhi Bangkok and Bangkok Delhi
                            for 29th December, 2018 and return on 4th January, 2019
                            and re schedule request was made more than 3 days from the date of departure from Delhi to you as well as to the web of Airlines.
                            But to my utmost regret till time tickets has not been re scheduled but told it is confirmed ticket for tonight flight. Ibibo never requested the concerned airline for its reschedule but at their own told it can not be re scheduled merely to earn their commission.

                            Look into it immediately otherwise the matter shall be filed with the consumer court within 3 days from today

                            the booking number is of some one else but ticket is in my name and e mail is mine only. and re schedule of tickets were done by me only.

                                  Chennai charminar residency 28.10.2018 to 31.10.2018 htluuycfpu 4315.00
                                  Secunderabad hotel sitara 10.11.2018 to 12.11.2018 htlcysrb7h 8148.00
                                  Thanjavar hotel balaji inn 06.11.2018 to 07.11.2018 htleruknvz 5713.00
                                  *chennai hotel shri ram 08.11.2018 to 09.11.2018 2436.00
                                  *this booking is made in the name of shri j. M. Gangani and his mobile no. [protected]

                                  I would like to make it very clear for your good self that we have booked 04 rooms for 12 persons. That means one room for three persons. The hotel has not provided the room which can accommodate / manage 03 persons. He has not made any arrangement or provided any bed / pillow / blanket / bed sheet to the third person at night during our stay. It is important for your good self to keep in mind that amongs 12 guest (8 senior citizen, 1 ladies, 2 baby children and 1 me) this is the main issue. Since we have already paid the payment for three persons and goibibo / hotel has not given any accommodation / services / facilities to the third person for which we have already paid the required amount and charges. We had clearly mentioned in our booking that one room for three persons. No rooms is booked for two person and accordingly paid the amount to goibibo, which may please be noted

                                  Your statement for hotel kvr delux residency, tirupati - we checked booking details and observed that we helped you proactively as soon as we received the complaint from your end, spoke with the hotelier and they informed us that on the day of check-in - they kept 1 towel in each room and within 10-15 mins he will keep 01 extra towel in each room.

                                  Further, hotel can provide 02 towels in each room, not the 3rd towel.

                                  Reply:
                                  Please go through the conversations / recordings made with your executive on november 4, 2018. You will found that neither any towel was kept in any room at the time of check in nor made available additional towel within 10 – 15 minutes.
                                  Please go through the conversations / recordings made with your executive on november 4, 2018 (Approx. 11.30 night) and november 5, 2018 (Approx. 12.00 to 12.45 hrs. At night) regarding not availability of bed / cushion / pillow / blanket for third persons at night (The temperature was about 23 – 24 degree cold)
                                  Please go through the conversations / recording made with your executive on november 5, 2018 (05.00 to 06.00 hrs. Morning) about non availability of towel.
                                  Apart from the conversations / recording, you can get the sufficient evidence from the cctv recordings of dated november 4 & 5, 2018 showing that undersigned requesting the hotel personnel for providing pillow / bed sheets / cushions / blankets.
                                  For further details you can ask the respective executive with whom i talked at tirupati on november 4 & 5, 2018.
                                  From the above, you can clearly observer that the hotel personnel misguide you and your team at all stage.
                                  It is quite clear and fact that hotel has not provided the basic requirements to us for which we are eligible / entitle and hired the services through goibibo by making required payment.

                                  Since we have paid the amount for third person and that is why it is our basic right to get the basic required facility during our stay. No one can deny for this, which may please be noted.

                                  Your statement for hotel shriram and hotel sitara, secunderabad - no concern/issues were raised on a real-time basis, we would have been able to assist you then and there with seeking help from hotel management.

                                  Sir, we planned our tour with my old aged parents and relative. We never planned the tour with a purpose for lodging complaints and hence we are not prepared for that.
                                  Timing of temples / places are fixed. No telephones and other belongings are allowed during the darshan.
                                  Moreover, the connectivity and network is a major issue. We did not get the sufficient time to contact you and perhaps you might not able to provide solution in time as per your track record.
                                  To contact / approach your team telephonically is quite wastage or time and energy.
                                  From the experience of kvr delux residency, tirupati, we learned that your executive / team is not able to provide any positive satisfactory solution at the time of actual requirement.
                                  After completion of our tour / journey we shared / registered our problems to your executives and goibibo through telephonically and electronically. These are the service request id numbers 25561725, 25551338,

                                  Our stay at hotel balaji inn, thanjavar is wonderful. They have provided all the facilities and the conditions of rooms are also quite admirable. We do not have any complaints / issue against hotel balaji inn, thanjavar. We never intend to favor any false or base less issue / problem.

                                  During the stay at hotel charminar residency, chennai we have informed your executive for the room conditions / air condition / services issue. We also requested them to cancel the booking but we forced to stay at hotel charminar residency only. The same can be clarified from the recordings / conversations made with your executive.

                                  Apart from all these, your executives have not skipped any opportunity to harash / torture mentally / physically / financially and psychologically in all respect by one or another way. From your records, you can find the how many calls have been made by the undersigned and accordingly each and every time your team has promised / assured for call back. I strongly request you kindly to share the details of call back made to me against planned / assured / promised by your team. I am sure the result is very very near to zero / nil. It is fact that your executives have just passed time with my serious issue and has done nothing fruitful in this regard. Some time the holding of call period is more than 55 to 65 minutes twice / thrice in a day. Is it efficiency? Is it seriousness?

                                  It is very difficult to explain each and every experience in writing. I can explain verbally exactly but no opportunity has been provided me by your un-efficient team. I am not demanding any thing additional from you. I am just demoing justice for which not only me but my entire family entitled.

                                  I hope the above are more than sufficient facts for your kind consideration and further for needful. Kindly do needful in the matter.

                                      Very worst app and services its the very bad experience again after paying online in advance didn't get the proper services of queries. All hotels and services are not as per the mention in goibibo. Its very ridicules app i inform to others don't west your money and time by booking this goibibo app and website. Never expecting and good services form this company. Didn't mention any customer support mail id and even call to customer care no.
