Team goibibo,

This is to draw your attention to the unethical and unscrupulous methods of making money which people of such a reputed company like goibibo have resorted to in these unprecedented times of pandemic. The experience that i have had with goibibo has really made me question the integrity of this county's largest online travel agency.

Call it a misfortune or a mistake but on the 29th february 2020 i had made a international flight booking for a two way trip to switzerland for a stay of 9days from 27th may 2020 till 4th june 2020 with goibibo. Booking id-ndc81ygdt, pnr-pnr-n3v2fw.
The booking costed me a hefty amount of rs.92, 606 and was paid using a credit card loan with emi of rs.11, 000 per month for a period of 12 months.

Even though, owing to the covid outbreak, all the flight got cancelled as per the government guidelines, till 24th of may none of the officials at goibibo bothered to call or provide an update on the application regarding the status of my flight on the 27th of may 2020. To my dismay, i could still see the flight as scheduled on the goibibo app so on 24th may 2020 i was left with no option but to send an email on their mail id requesting to provide an update on the same after multiple failed attempt to get on a call with the customer care executives to know about the status of my flight.

On 27th of may 2020, i received a mail from the gocare support team stating that my booking cancellation request has been successfully submitted and the amount will be refunded once it is received from the airline. However, on 29th may 2020 post the call with customer care executive, mail received from go care team said that since no information about the refund was received from the airline's side, hence my ticket ref#31536480 stands resolved from the goibibo's end. I received a similar mail on 30th may 2020 marking my ticket ref#31563721 which was again raised by me to refute their earlier mail.

After calling gocare team multiple of times and following up on the query relating refund of my flight charged with no suitable response from the go care team in the month of june 2020, i again dropped an email seeking update on 8th august 2020 but didn't receive any response.

On 9th of august, i called the gocare team to follow up on my query and this time to my surprise i received a response with an pdf attachment of cancel ticket voucher for booking id-gofliand91ea[protected] giving details of refund amount including amend charges refundable as rs.93, 016.
Though, it gave me a sigh of relief but still i connect with the go care team on the 11th of august 2020 to confirm the mode in which i will be receiving the refund. I got to know from one of the customer care executive, sourabh gautam, that my refund money has been received from the airline and hence i was asked to share the bank details in which i want the refund amount. Also, i was told that my refund will be reflected in my bank account within 24-48hrs from the time i share the bank details.
Note that i also have a recording of the entire conversation with sourabh as a proof.

On the contrary on 12th august 2020, i got a call from goibibo that they have not yet received the refund money and are still working with airline to get the refund for my pnr-n3v2fw. Also, post the call i got an email today that says my "ticket 31745226 has been marked resolved".
This only goes to show that the intention of goibibo is malicious. The company wants to defraud it's customer and keep such a hefty ticket amount to themselves instead of giving back the money to it's rightful owner.

I am really disappointed with the travel company which holds such a good reputation in market.

I request the higher authorities and all those responsible at goibibo to please take immediate action for getting the refund back into the account of the people for the ticket amount against a flight that got cancelled due to covid

I have received a mail from Swiss Airlines that the refund has been initiated on 30th July 2020. But it's been 2months and I have not yet received the refund for Team Goibibo.

I am suspecting that their intents are not pure but malicious. And they're not willing to refund my money.

    I am trying to reach customer support - its a recorded msg that sends a link to upload documents for refund - that never works. Trying since 15 days now. My booking id is gofld15fbb[protected]. Indigo has cancelled the ticket and sent refund to goibibo then why are they holding onto the money? Not able to reach anyone to ask for refund.

    Need help asap.

      Please accept my greetings first.

      I had booked a ticket on 25 jan booking id: n6efg7its. Flight was from ahemdabad to delhi by pnr-fg7its flight amount 5378 rs.
      I had done booking by goibibo website and they gave me indigo airlines ticket.
      Ticket got cancelled due to covid 19.
      I have been confirmed by indigo airlines by mail for returning amount as per mail trail attached.
      Amount has been returned from indigo airlines to goibibo air ticket booking agency.
      But they are not returning the amount. I have sent them many requests. But neither they are responding nor they are returning any amount.
      Kindly help.

          Dear sir / madam,

          I am writing to you to raise an issue about: hotels & resorts

          The issue that i have experienced was: i booked a oyo hotel from goibibo for 4th august named 64678 gunaba homestay, when i reached there it was locked and i stayed almost 1 hour there contacting customer care and all. Eventually no one came there and customer care shifted my stay to spot 71398 sk extension, when i reached at the hotel, he showed me a ac room with tv, geyser and was asking more 300 rupees where as goibibo said i will not have to pay extra. I said i booked a non-ac room with geyser just give me that he said no such room is available. Then immediately i moved out of the hotel. Now when i am asking for refund they are saying i stayed there for 1 hour hence it cant be refunded, but thats a lie why would i stay for 1 hour and can a hotelier present any proof of staying, any entry in the register or my id proof?

              My name is richiesh dinker, i contacted indigo airlines, they have refunded my ticket amount to goibibo for 5 tickets. Its been two months, i contacted goibibo through phone where no one is answering, through mail where its saying this email doesnt work. I also contacted on their facebook page where they are just repeating "will connect with you shortly". I am fed up with them as i am getting no proper response from them.

              I have attached some screenshots for proof.
              Please help!

              They are not even showing my PNR's in their site or app mentioning I dont have any bookings with them.

                  Multiple attempt I did to Air India as well but they are routing to GoIbibo only for refund. I can't see any issue if air india refund to me rather than asking to go back to goibibo

                    Booked to a flight to maldives (Male) from bangalore for 4 april 2020 with sri lankan airlines. Had to be cancelled due to covid. We had cancelled in march as soon as lock down started. And you can see its september no refund has been provided. Goibibo said we will provide travel voucher in place of refund with which you can book tickets for next one year with sri lankan airlines. I have sent letter of authorization, my passport copies, travel voucher sheet to sushant kataria (Who was corresponding with me) management, goibio helpdesk none of them has ever come back to me nor provided receipt. I have followed up 78 times on emails, facebook messenger, through goibibo app. Nobody has bothered to respond back. My money is gone, no response no travel vocuher. Such a bad experience. Never ever using goibio again. If you dont know i am a full time traveller. You would have received lot of business from me but i rather use other website than gobibo.in facebook messenger they only use auto response - we will get back to you shortly. No response on twitter... We used every way and its now going to be 7 months but they didnot provide any solution. Pathetic service. Donot use.

                      My ticket cancelled due to covid 19 but no refund of 31599 inr from goibibo.
                      I sent lots of emails but no reply.
                      I tried calling on their numbers but for over 6 months no reply.
                      None of their customer care numbers or emails works.
                      It has been over a long period of time and i have been paying interest to the bank which has brought me to a sum of over 45000 inr and due to covid, i have no source of repaying the huge amount.

                          Dear goibibo,

                          I like to inform you that i had booked a round trip flight tickets b/w bangalore (India) and male (Maldives) dated 17th april 2020 & 21st april 2020 - srilankan airlines through goibibo.

                          Later scheduled flights got cancelled by srilankan airlines because of covid situation. When contacted goibibo customer care, they kept the booking open so that i can have free reschedule to any date till dec 31st, 2020.

                          As we can see the present situation, day by day corona is increasing and there is no sign of improvement in near future. Upon this srilankan airlines has not yet started its international flight service from india to maldives till now.

                          Also even am very much scared to travel because of the rate cornoa is increasing.

                          Hereby i request you to kindly refund the full amount which i had paid to book flight tickets as it was cancelled by airlines and not from my side.

                          Kindly stand by us in this situation, discuss with airlines and initiate for refund of full amount and do the needful.

                            Am writing this letter with regards to the refund status on my flight booking 'gofld134fa[protected]'.

                            Since this was subject to some refund, can you please explain on why my refund is not processed yet? I could see 'no amount refund' status from your end. However, as per indigo airlines, they have clarified that i would be receiving a refund of inr 4360.00 (Mail has been attached for reference).

                            As you would already be aware about the covid -19 status, all domestic flights were closed and that was the main reason why i switched my booking from april to september. However, we didn't had any further guidelines from the government by mid september.

                            I would request you the please refund the money as per service provider"s confirmation at the earliest.

                              I cancelled my hotel booking on 21st august 2020. They promised me the refund amounting to rs 5684 within 3-13 working days. Its been more than 15 days and the amount has not yet been refunded in my account till now.

                              Also, their customer care number is not working and there is no option for me to raise the ticket.
                              Also, email to them bounces back.

                              Kindly help.

My flights were cancelled due to covid 19 lockdown in india and hence could not travel both to and fro for the above booking id on april 24 from chennai to colombo to singapore and on may 8 from singapore to colombo to chennai. I had cancelled on your go ibibo site in may itself and for last 2 months whenever i am seeing the status is showing as refund is in progress.in whatsapp also it messaged that u will receive credit shell. But i have neither received credit shell nor refund. Tried reaching your customer care 100s of time but not able to speak to any agent. My 62398 is pending for almost 3 months now. Pls contact me immediately on my mobile no [protected]. Pls give your mail id so that atleast i can send a mail.

                                I had raised a ticket in your online support[protected] and had received a mail from shweta gurai your customer executive stating

                                "this is in reference to booking id - amdlp5ty9 and airline pnr - lp5ty9.

                                Your concern is regarding the full refund.

                                Please be rest assured we have accepted your flight booking cancellation and refund request.

                                Refund process will take 45 to 60 working days.

                                In case, refund comes before that we will process the refund automatically in bank account."

                                I had also got sms on july 9 stating that your goibibo booking refund request for your booking goflic60b[protected]. As per the process refund application 5779111, 5779112, 5779115 and 5779116 has been raised to sri lankan airlines on july 5 2020

                                Today it is more than 60 days since request raised 120 days since original cancellation on your mobile app and
                                1. No refund has come.
                                2. The tickets which were appearing in my goibibo mobile is not appearing and saying there are no tickets booked.
                                3. Not able to reach customer care as no number.

                                I am really fed up and dont know what to do. This was my first international booking and i had used goibibo considering its reputation. But i am hurt with the kind of response and would never advise any body to ever use go i bibo.

                                With covid managing my finances has become really tough and i am left with no option other than to escalate further if the same is not resolved on war footing basis.

                                Pls understand the agony of the customer and have some empathy towards them

                                  Booking id - gofld939b[protected]. Refund related to pnr ccuigl not credited to bank account even after 13 days time period since it was processed on 25th aug. Done follow up many times, but no satisfactory answer received from goibibo team

                                    I had booked a flight for 18th may 2020 with indigo from ixd (Allahabad) to cok (Cochin) via blr (Bengaluru) 6e-5997 and 6e-316 and the pnr number is ilh 48a. The booking was made through goibibo mobile app on 17th february 2020. But due to covid-19 pandemic the flight was cancelled and credit shell was issued by the indigo airline valid till may 2021. Later when i tried to book a flight with the credit shell but it was unavailable. When i contacted the airline they informed me that the credit shell is transferred to the booking agent company, goibibo on 06th july 2020. For many days i am trying to get back my money.

                                    So please help me to get the refund from goibibo.

                                      Dear sir,
                                      My air ticket booked through ibibo having pnr: g97bjg (Airline: go air) got cancelled due to flight cancellation by the airline. Since ibibo was non-accessible on their customer care number as well as web page & mobile app, i have cancelled the ticket by talking directly to the airline, goair. The airline has confirmed the cancellation and informed that the full refund amount has been refunded to ibibo on 22nd aug-2020. However, i have not received the refund till date.
                                      Please note that several times i tried to update the details of cancellation done directly by the airline and raise the refund request on ibibo web page as well as on app, but the web page / app page was not accessible due to error on ibibo system. There was no provision to intimate or update the details with ibibo.

                                      Since the airline has already refunded the money to ibibo, i request for an early resolution for getting my refund.

                                        HI Goibibo Team,

                                        I had a flight on 17th March 2020 with Indigo airline booked from Goibibo.

                                        On 15th, i recieved information from indigo that the scheduled flight got cancelled and they proposed a new and totally different itenarary. They gave the option to either accept the alternate flight or get the full refund.

                                        I choose the option to get the full refund and cancelled the flight with the airline directly. Also raised the refund request in goibibo also.

                                        Till now i have not recieved any refund and did not get any information on when i will recieve it.

                                        Its been more then 6 months. This is too much of a time.

                                        Please reply and tell me the status.
