I have taken home loan from ICICI bank and now I can say that this has been one of my biggest mistake . I simply don’t have words to describe their services.. they are pathetic. I m surprise that in such competitive world they r surviving with such mindset of their employee.
From the first day when I submitted my papers and processing fee my problems began, they are not ready to listen ur requirement, all the time they are forcing their ideas, after numerous calls and follow-up I received my section letter, mind it that is the third sanction letter with required corrections. Whereas from the first meeting I was very clear on my requirement and conveyed the same.
Once loan sanctioned then I start getting calls for insurance from iCICI , they make me sick with number of calls even after I told them I don’t require any insurance.
After all that now I am facing problem in loan disbursement, its more than 10 days I had forwarded my demand letter and doing all sought following up with bank. Don’t understand how many more days they required to make one cheque.
Now for all of you who are thinking for Home loan, my suggestion is go to any bank but don’t ever think of ICICI.

You are absolutely correct Mr.Abhijit Choudhury even i had done a mistake by approaching for Loan with ICICI Bank. The people working in the icici banks staff was very irresponsibility and they think that they are working in a government office. most of the people was corrupted and the expect money form costumers. If any costumers refuse money to them then they will show their harassment and torture.


He Mahatma Gandhi was Still Alive and He would like to go for Home Loan through ICICI Bank then these people will also ask bribe to process the loan.

    I am shocked, I got a sms from icici credit card, your card account is debited for Rs.5499 by dining plus.

    But i has not made transaction with these company/ party.

    Please stop payment, and re-credit my card account, or I have to close my card account.

        My brother deposited a sum of Rs 49900 to my ICICI A/c No.[protected] And charges summing upto Rs 276 were deducted from my bank account and an amount of Rs 49624 was credited to my account . Please see to the matter and get the amount refunded to my account.

          I was a credit card holder with ICICI Bank about 8 years ago. There was fraudulent usage on my card and I called to cancel the card and contest the fraudulent usage. I was asked to pay all dues and then contest the fraudulent usage. This I refused to do, saying that I will only pay for what I had legimitimately spent. I emailed ICICI this but I got no response from them for over 4 years.

          Then, one fine day, 2 years ago, they called my home number and claimed I owed them several thousands. They claimed they had tried to contact me at my Delhi number, which is strange because I live in Bangalore. When my husband went to the ICICI Credit Card division in the boondocks of Bangalore and retrieved the records from them, we found that several months of my card usage records were wiped out and some strange address in the place of my actual address. Naturally they were not able to produce any records of my ever changing my address to a fictional one!

          We, however, paid ICICI for the legimitate charges plus interest and got a letter from them saying that the account had been settled.

          The fun began again 2 months ago. They reached me via email and I wrote saying that all accounts had been closed and that I had a letter to that effect. They apparently don't keep records, so now they claim I owe them several thousands all over again. I told them I had the letter and would scan and send it at my convenience. This time ICICI's goons have started harrassing my family members. They are calling on their home numbers and rudely threatening all sorts of dire circumstances. Not only do they not have records, their right hand doesn't know what their left hand is doing.

          I have 2 questions-
          1° Where are they getting this information (family members' phone numbers)? This can't be legal, right?
          2° Has anyone faced similar problems with ICICI?

          I am planning legal action and would like to know if anyone has had similar experiences with them or with any other bank.

          ICICI Credit Card — OVER CHARGES & HARRASSMENT

          My name is Manoj Kumar. IO bear ICICI card No[protected] for last one year.But last after july their was missing of bill and i could not found bill up to Sep 2008. But i was getting information through recovery agent that My bill is approx Rs 10000. pay immediate. But i always pray for total no of bill from July to Dec 2008. But they could not provide me. One one ladt Name Priya had call me to settle this matter of Amounting Rs 6000/- if i pay Min amount of Rs 500 in October 2008. and she promise to settle this matter with balance payment of Rs 5500 after receiving NOC from Bank. But after payment of Minm payment, non has consult for balance payment. After 2 month again several call i have received that ur out standing is Approx 12000/ anf settle with 9000/- But i refused due to negligence of Bank working Style . After several request they provide bill from June to dec 2009. In which my total expenditure is approx Rs 5000/
          So i request to settle this matter as soon as convenience.
          They are give me threatining on phone / mobile also.

          ICICI Bank — payment harrament

          Hi,
          I want to compalint angainst the constant harrasment and threats and abusive comments being made by the icici recovery agents.this is one of the most double standard bank that apologies to u when u complain to the phone banking, only to be harrased again by the recovery agents.
          I lost my job due to recession and proactivvely informed the bank abt the same as responsible citizen in the form of email, registeres letters and by visiting the ank branch.I asked for consideration and settlement/rewrite of my account but was never given any response.I recieved only treating calls from the bank's recovery agents who are extremely rude and threating.they threated to send goons to my place for recovery and called me atleast 5-10 times every single day.
          An institution like this who has no respect customers longn term relation with the bank asnd past records should be banned.
          these people have no respect even for the RBI regualtions.I think only when some frusted and harrased customer like me will be forced to take some drastic step due to this agonising act of the bank will they learn some lesson.

            I have noticed in lot of cases of theft of Credit/Debit Cards, that these cards are not Pin Based cards.

            As I have confirmed from the Card payment networks ie VISA/Mastercard/Maestro,

            There are two types of cards 1. Pin Based Cards 2. Non Pin Based Cards (Direct Pay)

            1.In Pin Based cards while any card gets swiped at any of the POS(Point of sale/Merchant establishment) the device asks to enter a PIN for payment to merchant, here customer enters valid pin and the further payment gets done. As security point of view of the cards this is the perfect method.
            2. In non PIN based cards customer dont have to enter a pin at any POS, as card gets swiped the device immediately gets approval for the payment and immediately payment is made to merchant. In this case if the card which is swiped is stolen or lost and if customer has not informed to bank regarding blocking of the card, he will loose his money(which is same as money gets stolen by a thief). As security point of view these types of cards are just problem to customers. The money linked to these cards is never be safe.

            In india ICICI issues only non pin based cards ie.VISA/MasterCard - The bank which has the huge volume of customers and also heavy volume of Funds also, is not at all concerned with these type of security issue of the cards. Really surprising.

            Maestro has the facility of PIN based card, but I have seen only SBI cards have links with Maestro.

            I want to urge all big Banks that please issue such Cards which have PIN authentication facility at POS which will enable high end secured solution for card security.

            ICICI Bank is concerned about the safe usage of the Debit cards issued to its customers. Your post on the consumercomplaints.in where you have raised the concern that ICICI Bank has a huge volume of customers and is not concerned about the security of the customers.

            We would like to clarify that ICICI Bank at all times acts with diligence, in good faith, and in no manner prejudicial to the interests of its customers. However, ICICI Bank has enabled instant sms on card usage at POS ( an sms is sent even if the value is Re1).

            With the new RBI guidelines mandating that a PIN be asked everytime a customer swipes his/her card. ICICI Bank has already enabled it's debit cards to be compliant with this new requirement. Thus as soon as the POS machines are ready with the new software, there will be a PIN based authentication on ICICI Bank Debit cards."

              I am an ICICI Bank customer for the past 15 years or so (Malleswaram Bangalore branch) and operate my account through internet. I visit the bank only when absolutely necessary as I am able to operate/check my account through internet. Eversice I remember, the bank has been providing cheque collection facilitiy in ATM booths for crediting the cheques into the accounts and for credit card payment. Since a few months, the bank has withdrawn this facility for the reasons best known to them. They have been dodging with stock answers when enquired. It is since 3-4 months this facility is not available and the customers have to commute all the way to bank branch only deposit the cheque (time, cost, and effort). They say that the facility would be reintroduces but are not giving any schedule.

              I do not understand their problem when all other banks are maintaining this service.

                Dear Sir,
                I visited ICICI bank to get extra cheque for my car loan approval. When I went there, one of the employees Jalpa from Satellite branch Ahemdabad of ICICI bank told me about the scheme about wife's plan and children's plan. As I was not interested in the scheme, I said, I will let you know if I will think about this. She asked my contact information so I gave my contact number. I also told her to call on Saturday only as rest of the days I don’t keep my cell with me.
                Now she called up again and again on working day to my given number. My wife picked up the call and she said that he want to talk to me. When my wife inquired about reason she replied its confidential thing and she cannot tell the reason to my wife. On the third call on Wednesday (12/0ct/2011) from her my wife argued that she only look after all my financial matter, so Jalpa can share the reason of call with my wife. Then she replied that mam, your husband visited our branch to transfer money to his daughter's account who is studying in pune. When my wife asked about confirmation with my name about the talk she said yes.
                My daughter is just 9 and she lives with us in Ahmedabad. So my wife went to Satellite branch of ICICI bank and asked for the confirmation of the talk with my name then she said Yes. When my wife shows my photo and asked Jalpa, "is this the man who talked about the money transfer to pune for his daughter?" In reply to this she said mam I cannot remember the face of people who I talked to about this plans. HOW CARELESS SHE IS IN HER WORK THAT SHE DONT REMEMBER THE CUSTOMER AND TALKED WITH HER CUSTOMER?
                Another employee of branch said it is not our job to identify the person, its job of Police. How ridiculous they are, first they play with someone's life and then reply with such answers.
                So for satisfaction of my wife I went with my wife to ICICI bank satellite branch, so now to hide her blunder without looking at my face she said "Ye vo sir nahi he"
                When I asked her to give me the number of the person who talked to her about transferring money to his daughter's account in pune. She said “I think there is not entry of the person who talked about money transfer to pune” and refused to do so. Now, when you play with somebody's life and not even helping him to solve the confusion created by you. What kind of people you are? Also how careless she is in her work that she makes such big blunders, causing someone's life hell.
                I strongly suggest this kind of employee should be removed from their job. I am also thinking of going to consumer court for compensation for the mental disturbance caused to me, my wife and my two children.

                  My self Ahmad ali Ansari,working with subsidery of ICICI Bank since 4 june 2011 on the roll of I-Process under the manager Mr.LIJU Vergese in morgage loan.As i could not able to perform well he has not paid my salary for the month of september 2011 even i have attended the office whole month.As i belongs to the poor family i cannot abe to attend office.I will request you to help some one as i spended my all money while working for the company expecting that will get the salary by end of the month.Mr.Liju has told me that we will not pay you untill you do the target.There is no such condition in appointment letter have been given or discussed while Joining the company.

                    Dear Madam,

                    I had taken a Home Loan (Application No: 1923699, Home Loan Account No: LBMUM[protected]) for amount Rs 4,00,000 from ICICI Home Finance (Sumita Suvarna, Bandra Kurla Complex), on 28 Oct 2002 (Sanction letter). During the time of taking the loan, there was a offer of scratch and win EMI and I had won one EMI free.

                    When I closed the account on 15th Oct 2011 at Borivali(W) branch, I was informed that I will not have the benefit of the free EMI as I had foreclosed the account. But as far as I know, it was no where mentioned in the Terms and Conditions of the offer that the foreclosure of the account will cancel the benefit of the offer. Hence I request you to please allow me to have the benefit of the offer by refunding one EMI (Rs. 4422).

                    I request you to please look into the matter urgently and do the needful.

                      I got a call from icici bank credit card department on 11-OCT-2011 and they said that they are making new credit card with lot of benefits and then in starting I get a gift of worth rupees 8000/- and get 25% discount on every product which I buy with my new credit card and they said to they want IOTP I have to put in tele phonic call to generate the a access code and after that I got a message in my register mobile that from my account 4964/- rupees was deducted and payment was made for plat5 consultant but when i got a call then they said that they calling from icici credit card department.

                      I will be very thankful to you if consumer complaint authority will take legal action against plat5 consultant and refund my amount in my account.

                      this is simply robbing the customer. i suggest you to visit rbi web site and lodge complaint giving full details. the call must have been from the credit cared department only otherwise amount would not be immediately debited from your account. you may note that icici bank web does not have customer care email id where complaint can be send and a poof thereof can be had. this has been done purposefully. if you go to back with written complaint to the the bank and ask for the acknowlegement they may refuse to do. rbi should evolve some mechanism curbing such menace. after going through verious complaint related sites one will find that icici bank is one of the worst to bank with. it is better to stay away especially from its credit card!

                        I am getting harassed by ICICI recovery agents and Manger from Vashi Branch, They call me and also some of my relatives and friends. they using very abusive languages.

                        I don't know how they got their numbers. I am always pick their call still they are calling and harassing.

                        In 2007 i owe 94000 and i had paid 75000 in different times. Now they claim i have to pay 1.2 Laks. I don't have any job and i am single. i ready for settlement but they demand 55000. i can not pay such big amount. I am living in Mumbai working for small salaries. My friends and relatives criticizes. i feel to suicide please help hot to come out of this.
                        Can someone advice me what to do

                          Dear Sir,

                          My anme is Sri AMIT KUMAR SAMANTA, Residing at Shenjuti, 28 , Onkarmall Jethia Road, Howrah-711103 having PAN NO AJUPS9069E is like to complain about the misrepresentation of my name in CBIL by ICICI Bank Ltd.

                          I Like to narrate the following incidents as follows:
                          One fine morning a got a phone call from recovery agent that i have used ICICI Bank Credit Card and have not cleared due of Rs one lakh Plus. i denied the claim and reported that there must be some misunderstanding as i do not have any ICICI Bank Credit Card. After some days a person having a list of Defaulters and claiming a manager of ICICI Bank visited our house and showed us a list of defaulters of that bank. i denied and requested him to show any documents relating to that card and any document of proof of the card"s issuance in my name or that is been used by me but they refused to do so and could not provide any document relating to it. Then there are number of phone calls from various persons claiming from ICICI Bank and claiming for the amount of more that lakhs.

                          after some days the phone calls are became threatning calls from Mumbai Tis Hazari Court or so and slang languages etc are common phenomenan. the calls were from different numbers and different times. i have reported the incident to Local Police Station that is Shibpur Police Station but in vain. the incident continues for several months.

                          Now as i am a Business person and Director of an Infrastructure company, the company requires some urgent funding in the form of Bank Guarentee and i was the Gaurentor. While searching a Pvt Bank Found that my Name along with the PAN no is displayed as Defaulter in CBIL website. Due to emergency and my company"s benefit i was forced to Pay Rs 50000/- as a settlement amount to ICICI Bank Ltd and all the documents are along with me today and i can show it to you.

                          Again last month our Company have revised financial proposals to SBI and again it was found my name along with my PAN no is in CBIL web site as defaulter is still displaying.

                          Now i like to formally and officially complain this incident to you as well as ask you what what basis CBIL displayed defaulters name and document supported by? What are the checking methods for having and confirming such allegations against a person? If financial Institutions provide all documents to CBIL then why they should not mailed the details to the Defaulter( that Person or organisation) after taking the contact details provided as per PAN of IT Department? What are the compensatory measures taken by CBIL for wrong data input or not update of records for harashing a person as well as hampering his name and prestige to other Financial institution as well as to public as well as hampering earning power and future of a person and organisation and hampering the economic Growth of INDIA.

                          Please give me a solution of this problem and resolve this complain. All the documents i have raised will be produced by me when needed.

                            Dear Concerned,

                            I had availed a credit card from ICICI bank and had settled the dues vide settlement letter no RefCODE/ICSO1BNG/052009/10798/6-583 for 15k and the validity was till 7th May 2009, I had paid the settlement amount of 15k on 6th May 2009 in your ICICI Rajajinagar Branch through cash, I do have the cash paid voucher for the same,

                            even after settling the account, your collection agencies are threaten me, they are calling my parents and revealing the info as well,


                            Prior to this i was given a settlement of Rs.40000 in four shots and the same was paid to the collection FE(GRA agency), but he has given me only 27k receipt and was not to be seen thereafter, i had lost 13k on that as well, after a prolonged discussion your team members have again convinced me to pay 15k as final settlement, even after my bad past experience i had paid 15k but this time i had paid it to the bank directly

                            I hope I am badly deceived and my credit ratings has gone for a toss only because of ICICI Collections teams mis-management,


                            I have Requested For Closer of my credit card account, But still Collection Executives have been calling me and asking to pay the Amount

                                I am Ajit Gandhi and I hold a floating rate home loan with ICICI Bank (LBMUM[protected]), there have been lot many complaints against the unjust unfair means of conducting business within Housing Finance Department. Following are my complaints :

                                1) On discussing with ICICI Bank officials for pre-closure of the above stated loan on October 13, 2011, I was told that I would be charged a pre closure penalty of 2%. On mentioning that RBI has given a press release on September 06, 2011 (http://www.rbi.org.in/scripts/BS_PressReleaseDisplay.aspx?prid=25012) stating that banks are not suppose to charge pre closure penalties/charges on floating rate loans, ICICI Bank officials flatly denied the same. I am worried as this is no way to harass a client. The interest rates are rising, incase if you want to close your loan you are unnecessary taxed with extra sums, which is unfair.

                                2) Also, for the above mentioned loan, I have paid a sum of Rs.6.18 lakhs till date from 2007 onwards, of which only 5% of it has been credited towards principal repayment and the balance 95% have been considered against Interest payment. This is highly unfair as a client would have paid interest for a tenure then what he is already holding a loan for. Say for example if I were to close my loan now, my interest payment is already in excess then what it should have been till date.

                                I would request RBI and the honorable Consumer Court to kindly pay attention to my compliant and assist us against such monopolistic unfair business organisations.

                                  Here is my worst experience with ICICI bank.

                                  My self is Jayesh Banker. My company has tied up with ICICI bank for salary account before 2 months and as part
                                  of company, my account has been opened with bank but i haven't received my ATM card and PIN Number yet.
                                  Since last two months, I am continously talking with ICICI bank's representative almost everyday but I am not getting
                                  proper response from them. Everytime I am getting different answers like card is on the way, you need to give application for duplicate card and pin no etc.. I followed all the setps like application for duplicate card suggested
                                  by them but till date there is no progress in this matter.

                                  This is my worst experience with ICICI bank. With such MNC bank I am not expexcting this type of service.

                                    Dear Sir,

                                    I am Sudhir Kumar Raiguru, bearing the a Furute Card from ICICI bank
                                    card number [protected] had made a purchase of 1598/- on 21st
                                    Sept 2008. I did not received my first month bill statement till
                                    January 2009. While enquired about the bill statement on the ICICI
                                    bank phone number [protected] I got to know that I have a bill
                                    statement of more than 2500/- billing amount as per the non payment of
                                    the last bill. When I complained regarding the same, the Executive
                                    with whom I was talking to said all other expenses would be waived off
                                    and I will receive the updated bill by email. However I confirmed him
                                    that after receiving the Updated bill, I will make the payment of only
                                    the amount that I have made a purchase of, i.e. 1598/-. After 10-15
                                    days I received the same bill of more than 2500/-.

                                    After that I received a call from the ICICI back Credit Card
                                    Settlement team and was told to do a payment of 2000/- for the
                                    settlement of the card
                                    I again said plz waive off all the late payment charge and other taxes
                                    and send me my original bill fo 1598/-, so that I will make a payment
                                    otherwise I will not make any payment.

                                    I had an ICIC Bank Account bearing A/c nubmer[protected] which I was
                                    using for my Investment purpose with a direct debit of 2000/- per
                                    month.

                                    It was fine till January 2011.
                                    Suddenly on 26th February 2011, my Account has been debited forcibly
                                    for 2406.26/- without my consent. While enquired about the same at the
                                    nearest ICICI Bank branch I have been told that the credit card
                                    department has debitted the amount from my Account.

                                    How can you do so without my consent ???

                                    Also I was forced to be a defaulter towards the investment for
                                    February month as my Account was out of balance and My name is in a
                                    Negative Credit User List for which I am not eligible for any Credit
                                    cards nor Loans.

                                    Now I am a Priority customer of Axis Bank and all my transactions are
                                    very fine with the Bank, yet the kind of interest on my Account
                                    balance per month they are paying, is lower than that what I was
                                    getting from ICICI Bank.
                                    My brother Samir Kumar Raiguru who is a Previllege customer of ICICI
                                    Bank has opened an FD of Rs.1 Lakh for the best Interest Rate and I am
                                    also encouraged to do the same in your Bank.

                                    So my sincere request to you that as my Account has already been
                                    debited by 2406/- which is much higher than the Actual Credit Card
                                    Bill Amount of 1598/-, plz waive off all the rest amount which is only
                                    your Late Payment Fee and other Taxes and remove my name from the
                                    Negative Credit List.

                                    Seeking your help to resolve my issue at the Earliest and settle the
                                    Credit Card Account.

                                      I have ICICI Bank Account No:[protected].I regularly used my ATM Card.I never got any problem before this happened.On 3rd October 2011,I tried to withdray 4000/- from SBI group ATM centre at Chintal branch, but there was no money in that ATM.so it didn't disperse money.Then I went to Axis Bank ATM centre at chintal and withdraw 1000/- and then later on the same day again I with draw 20000/- and 4000/- from ICICI Bank ATM'S.
                                      Finally when I took mini statement it shows that all the amount i.e.29000/-(Including withdraw from SBI Group) was withdrawn from my account.
                                      Then immediately on the same day I made Service Request by phone and they given me Service Request No:SR[protected] and the customer care executive told that the amount will refund in 10 days.after that i didn't received any call or SMS regarding my service request.
                                      On 12th Oct 2011 when I opened my net banking and checked for my service request status I shocked that the service request was closed without getting my money back.So immediately I called customer care people and asked about it, they told that the request is completed because the SBI Group told them that the cash was taken my me.When I argued about this the customer care person registered again for service request and he given the number as SR[protected] telling that you will receive a call from our people within 24 hours,but I didn't received any call from them,so my self I called to customer care again today(14th Oct'11) asking about my service request,then the person said that it may take 17 days to solve.So I decided to complain in consumer court.What I will do next? One more thing I want to tell u that actual my daily withdrawing limit is 25000/- but on 03/10/11 it shows as 29000/- means excess of daily limit.How it happened? I am attaching a copy of my statement. Please look that I will get back my amount immediately as I have some urgent works to do
