We understand your concern.

The amount of Rs.843.00 debited from your savings account on October 20, 2008 towards non-maintenance of Quarterly Average Balance(QAB) for the period July 01, 2008 to September 30, 2008.

QAB to be maintained in your savings account in Rs.10, 000.

Non-maintenance of quarterly average balance charges:

* Flat charges of Rs.750 are levied on your account.
* For every new cheque book, Rs.5 a leaf will be charged.
* First three cash transactions (withdrawals or deposits) at the branch in a quarter will be free and thereafter Rs.60 for every transaction will be charged.
* First five ATM cash (withdrawals or deposits) transactions in a quarter will be free and Rs.50 for every transaction will be charged thereafter.

Service Tax of 12.36% on the mentioned charges is also applicable.

The QAB is calculated as follows:

Sum of the end of the day balances on each day of the quarter divided by the number of days in that quarter.

Alternatively, the credit balance should be Rs.10, 000.00 on each day in the quarter in your account.

Have you taken any consent from the account holder for that as per my knowledge the average quarterly balance was 5000/- (five thousand) while opening the account and I have never consented for the same (10, 000)

Regarding the below mentioned terms of cash and ATM transactions, Is there any notification from the RBI or this is exclusively from ICICI bank. For all the details at least you should have informed your account holders and taken prior consent for the same.

Are all the instructions from RBI then Its OK and please let me know the notification number issued from RBI or ICICI.

As per RBI norms you cannot debit a single penny to any account without the consent of the account holder.

In case you dont provide me any satisfactory details I shall be forced to take this case to consumer courts and I shall be happy to close my long customer reltions with ICICI.

Looking forward for your kind co-operation in crediting the balance debited to my account unlawfully.

Kindly note that all the general savings account holders are required to maintain Average Quarterly Balance of Rs.10000 with effect from July 01, 2008. Hence. Average Quarterly Balance requirement for July 2008 - September 2008 will be Rs.10, 000, failing which customers will be charged in the month of October 2008 with non-maintenance charges.

Your account status is that of a general savings bank account for which the quarterly average balance to be maintained is Rs.10, 000.

In case of non-maintenance of quarterly average balance, flat charges of Rs.750 are levied on your account. In addition these transaction charges are also applicable :

* For every new cheque book, Rs.5 a leaf will be charged.

* First three cash transactions (withdrawals or deposits) at the branch in a quarter will be free and thereafter Rs.60 for every transaction will be charged.

ICICI bank SB account — deducted money from SB account without any instruction from customer and without justification

In the month of February 2008 ICICI Bank has deduscted Rs.59, 000/- from my SB account as I could not pay credit card dues for 3-4 months due to personal problems. ICICI bank representative was in touch with me during those crisis period of mine and finally I resumed paying in the month of November 2007. In between without my knowledge and instruction they had imposed and freezed some heavy amount of Rs.65, 000/- in my account and thats during when I already started paying, after getting harassed in everyway by various officials of the bank and escalating the matter to Mr.K.V.Kamath, so called CEO of that bank who doesn't have the guts to come back to a customer with any justification, they finally deducted the money from my account without my written or verbal or any instruction. I am filing a suit against the bank and taking very strongly with RBI also this case. Want to take ICICI Bank for a task for this.
You have to be very carefull with ICICI.
I Dont use ICICI Credit card. Thank God.
Once 48K was deducted from my account by ICICI. When I asked for the reason, they told me that, its a computer mistake and they credited back.
I am really scared of ICICI.
Anyway, it is a good practice to go thru the monthly statement line by line and check.

ICICI Bank Credit Card — USURIOUS BANKING PRCTICES

I have been maintaining this credit card (ICICI BANK BIG BAZAAR CARD) account relationship with ICICI bank for quite some time but this card has not been very actively used for quite sometime. Whenever it has been used, prompt payment has been done.
But, there has been one such transaction which happened in year Mar’2007 for which payment was done in April’ 2007 after receiving call from ICICI BANK call centre. The ICICI BANK call centre personnel informed me the outstanding amount of Rs. 1000/- in total (for a transaction for which I never received the Credit Card statement).
The ICICI BANK call centre personnel informed me that I have to make a full and final payment of Rs. 1000/- for a transaction incurred on this Card.
Hence, I checked the details and made the payment of Rs. 1000/- which was debited to my account. The details of the debit are as under:

There was a surprise in store for me when I contacted ICICI Bank telebanking executives for cancellation of my additional cards which are issued unsolicited by ICICI Bank. They informed me that there is an outstanding against this card. They were not even willing to give the details. They told if I need previous un-received statements, I need to pay for each statement.
I was further shocked to see the latest statement which has been an example of not banking but USURY.
As per the latest statement I am supposed to pay over
Rs. 8, 000/-.
In this connection, I request the BANK to clarify the following:
1. I fail to understand when I have paid in full for the transaction done by me, why there is any outstanding against my Card a/c.
2.Why the bank is not sending the Credit Card statements in time?
3.If the Bank says, I haven’t paid in full, then how and why the ICICI Bank Call centre personnel is giving erroneous information about amount outstanding and the full and final payment supposed to be made by me. Is this a ploy to trap people unaware and then practice USURY instead of banking?
Banking should be practiced not USURY.

I am also facing the similar problem with ICICI. My account also has been debited with same amount on the same day and i was never informed about this. At the moment, i am in CANADA and i use this account for fund transfer to INDIA.icici has my email address. they never mailed me. If they can mail me the statement why can't they approch us for written concern.
i would appriciate ICICI if they revert the charges for me also, other wise i will also terminate this service with ICICI.

i have consistantly maintained the average balance of Rs 5000. this is cheating us something like they promised for some terms and when we handed over the money, they did what ever they want to do.

As per the earlier letter dated 15.09.2008 we had not received the statement for the month of July, then as per the telephonic talk with the customer care department we had not paid the intrest charges and other related charges charged for late payment and rest of the payment was made as soon as statement was received. Now days the customer care employers are calling again and again for the same problem, this is not the way of behaving to the customers.
We had also written in the earlier letter for the change of address so please do the needful, note the address and sent the necessary documents on the address given below:

ICICI bank SB account — ICICI Bank debited SB account without my approval or knowledge

ICICI bank has debited an amount of Rs. 1000 from by SB account without my knowledge on Nov 14, 2008. On enquiring repeatidly and following-up through emails and personally visiting their branches for more than 45 days, I was finally informed that the amount was debited from account as some discrepancy was found in the cash of Rs. 5.6 L deposited by me personally at the bank's counter on Nov. 8, 2008. On further enquiring about the discripancy, I was told through mail (Trail ail below for reference) that 10 notes of 100 were found mutilated and I may collect the same from my home branch in Ajmer whereas I am based in Delhi.

A surprising explanation from the bank which completely took away whatever little trust I was having on ICICI Bank. How can bank raise discripancy issues on cash deposits after 6-7 days of the deposit actually made across the counter where each and every currency note was checked by the bank before giving me the receipt and crediting to my account. Now that the currency note bundles are not stappled/sealed, the same can be very easily tampered with at bank's end for which a good customer like me suffers and gets harressed. This seems to be a case of nefficiencies at ICICI Bank being passed-on to customers like me.

It is so unethical and unprofessional for a Bank like ICICI to adopt such practices.

Request help and advice on how the matter should be taken-up with ICICI so that the amount is credited back to my account and ICICI takes a corrective step and provides an explanation.

What would you like to say: An amount of Rs. 1000 was debited from our a/c on[protected] without any intimation to me. Had put in repeated written & telephonic complaints in last more than a month but still no action has been taken and no just reason has been provided by the bank. Have communicated with your NFC Delhi branch (Mr. Janmajay Singh) and then later with your Ajmer Branch (Manager Mr. Anand K) many times but still the amount is yet to be refunded back to my account and any proper reason for the transaction is also awaited. On repeated follow-up with the bank, I was informed that the amount has been deducted due to some discripency in the cash deposit transaction I had made a 5-6 days back. I fail to understand what could be the discripency when the cash was deposited by me across the counter and your executive at the counter had twice verified the deposited cash (thru machine as well as manually) before confirming the transaction and crediting the amount in my a/c. Once the cash has been deposited at the counter, discripency, if any, is due to Bank's or its employee's fault for which the only the Bank is liable. Such debiting of amount without any intimation and just reason is unethical and may lead to breach of trust and further action.

Request you to kindly get the said amount of Rs. 1000 credited back to my account under written intimation and explanation to me in next 2 days.

Await necessary action and response from the Bank.

ICICI DEMAT SERVICE — Quarterly charges cut

I have an A/C of ICICI BANK with ICICI DEMAT SEVICE. During opening they said that you will have zero balance facility because of having demat A/C. but this is the third time when i had to pay 900 Rs. as Q. Charges for not maintaining my accont with 2000/- Rs. even my friend also have same A/c as my self. but he has Zero balance facility. when i tolk to demat service they say we can't do anything that is not our fault and same thing said by Icici bank. so kindly instruct me what should i do to get my money returen.

ICICI Bank — Quarterly Charges

I am a musician since 2002 and I opened a savings account in ICICI during 2003. At that time the bank said savings account eligibility is to maintain Rs.5000 balance minimum. Later since 2006 I came Mauritius and staying here. The bank has renewed its rules in 2007 july that Rs.10000 minimum balance should be maintained but I was not aware of it as I am in Mauritius. My balance was approximately 6, 500Rs at that time. Now throught internet I checked I noticed they have levied nearly Rs.3, 300/ from my savings account as Quarterly Average Balance charges. This is not justice at all. How can they suddenly change their rules. I am not able to deposit any funds from here till today. My very hard earned money is going like this. I am really hurt by ICICI Bank. They could have atleast block the account in order to make their customers maintain minimum balance. But taking the customer's money in this way that too so much high charges are not acceptable.

ICICI Bank Credit Card — UN FAIR CHARGES

Sub: Wrong debits by ICICI Bank despite their customer care agreeing to waive off - consequent multiplying o[censored]ndue charges, Credit Card No. 4477 XXXX XXXX 4009;

Dear Sir,

I have used above credit card since May, 2006 paying all dues on time as per card statement received by me. The August 2007 Card statement did not reach me. Thereafter
a series of debits on a usurious pattern have been put on my card statement by Bank.

I have paid all usage charges regularly on time and there are no dues on my card on this account. The amounts being shown as due (above Rs. 50,000.00) have arisen due to wrong charges initially agreed to be waived off by the authorized executives of the Bank but not waived in actual fact.

I therefore pray that these wrong and unjustified charges be cancelled and the Bank be directed to desist from indulging in usurious practices and unjustified threats to me and I be compensated adequately and exemplarily for the mental sufferings and insults heaped on me by the Bank for no fault of mine.

All my efforts to get this matter resolved through various levels of the bank have not succeeded. I am therefore approaching the Banking Ombudsman seeking justice and protection from the usurious and threatening practices of this large Bank as I find myself totally helpless despite the fact that I have done no wrong.

On October 31, 2009 I met a Bank representative based at Nehru Place who invited me to meet him at his office. After understanding and even agreeing that I have been wronged, he expressed his inability to settle this matter as the amount had grown to a level beyond his powers and suggested that I approach Banking Ombudsman for a satisfactory redressal of the issue, only then the Bank would agree for a waiver even though it is justified. Therefore I am approaching you.

Sequence of events are relater under and a comprehensive statement of all charges on my Credit Card, with details of payment and the unjustified additional debits which were agreed to be waived upon my contesting on each occasion, is attached.

Sequence of events
On or about October 9th, 2007 while paying for another card statement I remembered that the card statement of ICICI Bank had not reached me for some time so I called up their Customer Care to find out what are my card dues as I have not received any card statement. Upon finding out the dues from them I paid all dues on Oct 10, 2007.






In the following month Oct 2007 Card Statement I discovered some late payment and interest charges. I called up their customer care objecting to the extra charges. The Customer care executive accepted my plea for late payment being due to non-delivery of card statement and agreed to waive the extra charges advising me to pay all usage charges and not pay the extra charges which he had waived off but would reflect in the following month’s statement. Accordingly I paid all usage charges within due date.

In the next month (Nov 2007) card statement did not reflect any waiving off of the extra charges instead more additional charges as a consequence of the earlier extra charges were debited. I again contacted their Customer Care and they again agreed that there was an error and all extra charges would be waived off which would reflect in the following month’s card statement. Meanwhile they advised me to pay all the usage charges on time which I did within their due date (which is a matter of record).

To my extreme surprise despite confirmation and assurances waived extra charges were never removed and the card statement for Dec 2007 was sent to me with all extra charges in place and to add insult to injury more/additional charges were added. There after the Bank made it a pattern to go on adding/debiting more charges to me.

Written representations - I made several attempts to get this issue settled. I wrote to their Hyderabad office on 2 occasions and to their Mumbai office which is a matter of record but without any response from the Bank. (Copies of letters attached)

Personal Visits - I visited their offices at Rohini on 3 to 4 occasions after due appointment but the executives at that level expressed their inability to settle the issue.

Conciliation Proceedings - On October 07th, 2009 I received a ‘CONCILIATION NOTICE’ from the Bank advising me to attend conciliation proceedings on September 26, 2009 but I also got a call from them on September 25th so I personally visited their offices at their VIDEOCON Tower office at 1.30 PM with full set of documents pertaining to the issue. To my surprise however only a chowkidar was present there who advised me that all the Babus have left for the day at 1.00 PM.

Serious objectionable calls from Bank Executives – Meanwhile, collection executives of the Bank stared calling me almost every day and at odd hours on my mobile phone in the evening or even on holidays. I strongly objected to these calls and explained to the callers that I have written in detail to the Bank and have personally visited their offices to settle the matter while I have paid all charges on account o[censored]sage of the card by me and they should first address the real issues and not bother me on phone specially when I am at important meetings or with my close relatives and friends on holidays.












Threats of dire consequences –if I did not pay what the Bank is showing as due, these executives threatened me of dire consequences and my credit standing would be spoiled damaging my credit rating for all times to come etc and that I am enjoying life with Banks money although my card was blocked by the Bank unilaterally without any notice to me.



An early action will be highly appreciated as it would save me from extreme mental sufferings, loss of face and loss of mental peace due to threats from Banks executives.

I am adarsh jain I have a family account my father's account is silver account & number is[protected] & my account number is[protected] .On 27/10/09 from my account a amount of Rs.827 is deducted as a QA charge.

ICICI Bank Credit Card — unlawful / unfair bank charges to individuals

Dear all,

I am one of the millions like you, who as an individual suffering from the banks unfair charges.
Due date of payemnt of my credit card was 8th april. And I got the cheque dropped by 7th april into atm drop box.

In due course of time i came to know about charges on late payments and interest.

Now I have certain issues to point out
why the information of dropping of cheque three days before due date is not written on the statement?
why the customer care number is not written on the statement?

During the conversation with telebanking officer i came to know that, my charges have been waived off 8 times earlier.
Can anyone let me know that everytime was it my fault for which the charges have been waived off.
If eight times than why not this time.

I AM HAVING A SAVING BANK ACCOUNT WITH ICICI BANK SECTOR-35C CHANDIGARH. ICICI Bank — Debiting account without approvals or intimations

I have taken Home loan from ICICI bank in 2006 the EMi per month is 8853, I missed 1 EMI in the month of April '10. Now ICICI loan recovery department is debiting my account without my approvals or authority and they till now have debited in total Rs.10,806.32 for 8853 emi. i was never been informed the for this emi the charges lieved were Rs. 1953.32. i lodged many complaints but no one has ever got back to me. everytime they make my balance Nil and my 34 cheques were bounced because of this.

i want to lodge consumer complaint for same reason.

ICICI Branch Free Banking — Related to Fixed deposit

I have opened one FD in Branch free banking in the month of december-2010.Till date i have not received any record for that.

While speaking to official they are telling that it will be done it is under process.

I am asking them a commitment date but they are not answering that.

    Please go through the trailing mails.Please start reading from the bottom.This is the communication between me and the Bank.You will get a clear idea of the case when you read it completely.
    I never expected such an experience from ICICI bank.The bank have crossed all the limits of decency.The collection department never try to communicate with me to solve the matter instead they put a lean to my saving account and on 15th October 2008 the bank debited Rs.44841.00 from my account against the false statement issued by it.I made this point to notice to the bank as I wrote in the trailing mails.This I earned and saved for future requirements for my family.What could have you done if it have happened with you?Is what the bank doing is right?Debiting the money and diverting it from the account directly that too without notice.More than this the bank is asking to pay for what I have never ever been used.I am not recieved the money to my account what your Credit Card department is claiming me to pay.
    Do the bank have right to behave like this with the account holders?This is pure injustice and disgusting too.
    Shame on ICICI which is pretending as building trust for the customers.
    This is shameful job ICICI have done with me.
    I want justice.I want my money back.
    I am ready to pay the charges which I have utilized but how come you ask me to pay what I have never got from you?

    Subject: Is taking ICICI’s Bank life insurance policy a precondition to opening an account.

    I wish to bring it to your kind notice that I had given my application to your executive in JUHU branch on January 07 to open a Proprietorship current account.

    All formalities were completed as asked for including a check for Rs 50000/- and Rs 10000/- seperately. About few days back I was told to give a letter to clarify the name of the firm I wished to keep. After submitting the letter I was told that your account can be opened but you will have to take one life Insurance policy of ICICI bank otherwise the account can’t be opened. When I refused for that I was told that your account can not be opened because the name of your firm is not approved. I fail to understand why at the first place I was told that it can be done, which means there was no problem with the name of the firm. When I refused to take the policy I was given the flimsy reason that your form is rejected.

    I fail to understand since when such sort of blackmailing has been started in ICICI bank. When all other international banks and private banks are ready to open why not ICICI bank. Also, since when so much money is required to open an account.

    My only interest in ICICI bank is that I already have few accounts in your bank and is near to my place.

    Very painfully, with this non-flexibility of your bank, I would be compelled to shift all my account to a more customer friendly bank.

    I did write to customer care and some Mr Dhiraj Kalekar did contact me but now after few days he has also stopped responding.

    Earlier in the days of Mr KV Kamath, things were all right as you could writer your grievences on his personal ID 'kamath.[protected]@icicibank.com' and would get a response immediately and with problem also got solved pretty soon. But now it is not working.

    Thus my assumption is ICICI bank is no more cutomer friendly.

      This is regarding my Creditcard payment which i made it trough a Execuitive name Naresh([protected]), He collected on 7th Oct a post-dated[protected] Chq no 249085 for rs 10, 000/-, as it been a holiday on the day he came and collected the amount and told is out of recipt book will get it by end of the day. I checked my account i found Chq been deposited, when enquired with CustomerCare the exectuive never paid the Cash amount, on 16th his manager Mr.Srinivas ([protected]) called for the payment, explained him breifly, Myself, executive and Manager 3 were in conf, Executive now says never collected any cash. Now the manager too is not picking up the call.

        I am Sandeep Gautam. I had ICICI saving account from past four years and had ICICI credit card from past July 2005 which had maximum limit of Rs.18000. From past near to one year I had not used the credit card and before not using it I called in ICICI credit card department and request them to settle my bill. They did not listined it and told me we will take the money from our own ways, do what ever you want to do.

        Now after this incident they automatically wavied my Rs16000 from my account for which I had complined to bank through government portal. After there interference the bank listined my complain and assited me that the money which is waived off cannot be given back but we do settlement. And the final settelement was done that they asked me to go to Pune and collect the settlement letter and no money will give you back.

        Sir/Madam I had only Rs4000 as a bill which was all of interest not the principal amount and I asked the bank that I am not in the position to give this amount. After this one year down the line they waived my Rs16000 and told me do what you want to do.

        Sir/Madam please tell me how can I fill the case against them. Now I do not want money I want justice for a citizen of India and for all the customers who all are suffering from the same problem.

          Dear Sir

          I availed a loan for 6.5 lacs from ICICI home finance, Bhubaneswar office which is to be repayed in 5 years (60 instalments). This is a loan based on floating rate of interest. My loan was disbursed by 1st week of Feb 09 with EMI at 11.5 % which was higher compared to ICICI home loan interest. I made a complaint to the bhubaneswar branch Regional Credit Manager but no response from him. He didnot even bother to receive my calls. Now in March 09 my EMI is debited at same 11.5% interest.

          I checked on 26th feb 09 with ICICI Bank in Chennai and understand that the home loan above 5 lacs is now 10%. Immediately i informed the Regional Credit Manager for rectification of my rate of interest and EMI but he didnot bother to take any action.

          I am totally pissed off with the attitude of the ICICI home finance guys and terribly disappointed with their response and behaviour. I dont know how this company exist in this present competitive world.
          I now understood that there is no one in this company who is bother to look at the customer's complaints.

              Hi,
              Same complaint against ICICI is also listed o this site (from Mr.Abdul Hafiz Abdul Shakur Pathan)
              Even my ICICI savings account was imposed the same transaction "ICICI Bank 20/10/2008 QABChgs, Jul-Sep08+Serv Tax93 DR INR 843.00" on 20/10/08.
              I sent out email to ICICI but no replies. Per their website, they should response within 24hrs.
              How come any bank impose charges without the knowledge of the account holder?
              Shouldn't all the charges & policies (along with the hidden ones) be explained diligently during the account opening process?
              ICICI bank has mentioned that any new/modified charges is posted on their site (www.icicibank.com), but I was not able to find this charge.
              We should definitely sue this ICICI bank for their bad business practices. It's no wonder that people dont trust this bank anymore, people withdrawing their money is fully justified. I am pretty sure that ICICI worst business practices are another major factor apart from the economic recession.
              I have asked ICICI to revert the charges, will go to court if they don't rectify.

              They are blood sucker for the account holder, thats why .. they are getting such response from public. I am also the victim of same case.. QABChgs, Jul-Sep08+Serv Tax93" 843 Rs. Mr Kamath ads. on TV will not prevent the bank unless you save the account holders.

              There is no information as such that they are going to min 10k balance in s. acc. They always send the reminders via SMS, they why this not send ??

              I dont understand why they Dr. the amount . I had sent mail to ICICI but no response from them.
              The same with my account[protected], they have cut off Rs.843 under QABChgs, Jul-Sep08+Serv Tax93, I dont understand the reason for doing something like this. They havent intimated that they would be doing something like this before. There is no reason for doing such a thing.
              The same happened with my s/b a/c[protected] and my spouse a/c[protected] of
              QABChgs, Jul-Sep08+Serv Tax93 charges Rs 843.00 in each a/c even we maintained min. balance of Rs 5000. I enquired with ICICI people about min. balace and they informed us that the min. balace of Rs 10, 000 applicable for new a/cs that opened after 1st Jan' 2008. and older a/c (opened before 01/01/2008) min. balance Rs 5000/- and we (me and my spouse) opened a/c 5 yrs back. I need justification why they gave such a falut statement and charged QABChgs, Jul-Sep08+Serv Tax93 in our a/cs. If they won't revert back the trasaction. we planning tp close our a/c's after removing all our amounts (demate, fds, mutual funds etc) and we won't do any transaction with this bank in future.
              I have also faced this problem twice. They have charged Rs. 800+ for QABChgs. What is this.
              QABChgs means Quarterly Average Balance Charges, Here From July to September. It is applicable if your a/c not maintained minimum amount. (say Rs 5000/-). ICICI recently increased minimum amount from Rs 5000/- to Rs 10, 000/-.
              How it is justified not maintaining of Rs 5000/- the penalty is Rs 3372/- Per Annum (Rs 843/- Quarterly X 4). Really They are blood suckers. Now it is the time to teach them lesson by closing all our accounts like saving a/c, demat a/c, mutual funds etc and move to some other nationalized banks.
              I have faced the same problem. As per my knowledge, the 5000/- (or even the 10, 000/-) is the minimum QUARTERLY BALANCE that needs to be maintained. As such, if the balance goes below the minimum for just 1 day (as in my case), it really should not be penalised, since for the remaining days in that quarter, there was enough funds available. ICICI might be sweet with words, but definitely they are not very clean in their business

              I fully agree with this complaint QABChgs, Oct-Dec08+ST93 rs.843. Thats a lot of money, i don't think they would give me even rs 50 if i ask them for free.

              There was one time that i was advised to change my debit card to a GRID debit card. i was told that this would be free of cost to upgrade the debit card. But after the process is done i was still charged. When i go to complain about this, i was told to undergo so many unnecessary things, making it very complicated to rectify the error which was DELIBRATELY?? caused by the bank.

              I am not at all satisfied with their services anymore. All this little hidden charges which is rather SHOCKING to us customers, i don't think they wanted to have a fair and good relationship with their customer.

              I would say the consumer court must take a legal action againt ICICI bank on same issue otherwise they will keep on doing the same for all the ICICI customers.

              Same with me...although my average balance for quarter was abaove 10000...still charged rs.843...witout prior information...
              My account was also changed a similar amount. I called the customer care and they told me that the Minimum Quarterly Balance has been increased to 10, 000/- from 5, 000/-. For not maintaining the same, the charge has been levied.

              This is such a load of crap. I never got any information from ICICI in this regard.

I have got an sms stating ' QAB "Chgs in my account from1st july to 31st july 09 as - 5658. we have not heared about QAB charges nor told about it at the time of opening the account. Also we have not made any transations for last 3 years and we expected it to close down automatically as there was no transation . We have given a letter to bank to close the account but no action has taken.If the account is not closed within a weekstime, I will take this matter to consumer court.

              They too have deducted Amount from my Account citing the notorious QBAG (Quarterly Balance). This is plain stealing. The MUST give prior intimation to bring the balance to the required level. Simply dipping their dirty hands in our accounts & taking away money is WRONG.

              To further the matters, I tried to transfer money from my other ICICI Account (What an I am right!!!) to this affected account & lo & behold, I am Informed: Transaction password is incorrect!!!

              To complicate matters, the site informs me "My Mobile Number is UNDER COOLING Period" (Whatever that means) & that I cannot regenerate password online. In short I CAN ONLY SEE MY ACCOUNT BUT CANNOT DO ANYTHING WITH IT.

              My advice: New USERS: STAY AWAY from ICICI as far as possible. Other banks have COPIED & developed their own services ((Read: Online Banking, Demat & Brokering etc...) eg: Axis Bank, SBI Bank etc...) Opt for these banks. ICICI is a scumbag which will eat your money the moment you drop your guard.

              I also had the same problem. This is disgusting . They should have intimated regarding the minimum amount about, and notify in a mail about the action before they proceed to cut the balance. This is not fair. Try to avoid ICICI bank.

              ICICI Bank is a blood sucker. They are good in nothng. Demat, Homeloan and now saving account are purely money making for them. I, fed up f paying the charges for Demat and Savings. Most dearer is the QAB charges which was charged 4 times (827 X 4 = 3308) in last year. I was not notified that they have increased minimum balance to 10K. None of their services are customer friendly. They don't help customers at all and the employees are the most arrogant ones in the country

              HDFC, SBI are fare better in this sense and Im closing all my business with ICICI. Get rid of credit card already. Doing the rest soon. So PLEASE DONT GO WITH ICICI. They will loot you with their fineprint on the Fees.

              BE CAREFULL AND AWARE when dealing with ICICI BANK.

              Bank is not convinient to the customer end because she can not adjusted or consider for one day EMI due date . Generally sallari pay date is 7 th to 10 th day of every month all over but EMI Date is set 5th day of month.How deside & why deside this date . what is the loss of bank if date is set after 5 th day of evry month but no the bank attitude is cheating the customer every time, this is his business.                 This is the worst night mare I am facing from 8th of Aug which is still not yet over. I am a customer of ICICI. I hold a salaried account and
                also ICICI GOLD Credit card. I received a call from one of the ICICI executive[protected] on 08/08/2008 on my number telling me that I am eligible for a new card "VIP 3 STAR GREEN CARD" at 12:49 Hrs. According to him this card is given only with CASHLESS CARD(actually a scheme of ICICI prudential Life Insurance).Going by what ever he said I went on to take the cashless card i.e. the life insurance policy of ICICI PRUDENTIAL according to which I am subscribed to a total entitlement of 40Lakhs and 8 Lakhs per year and to use this I need to pay a premium of 7745 Rs and a monthly installment of 645.42 for 24 months. I called up ICICI customer care to verify regarding "VIP 3 STAR GREEN CARD" card and found out that it does not exists.
                Later i have tried to find out details about my policy but to no avail. Neither can I get the information about this policy from ICICI BANK CUST CARE nor from people at ICICI PRUDENTIAL LIFE INSURANCE cust care. I have not got any documents regarding this nor the card(life insurance card). I don't have the policy number nor the application number, but as of now I am charged 645.42 Rs on my credit card. I have called ICICI prudential Cust care for more than 10 times they say we will get back to you sir and they never do. I have also put up a complaint in ICICI Prudential office, a month ago still no avail.
                I don't understand how come ICICI bank professionals are doing such kind of stuff? I personally trust ICICI bank with all my accounts and money, but if a professional from ICICI bank does such a work then I hate to say but I loose trust on its offers and calls.
                I want to cancel my cashless card or the insurance policy with ICICI PRUDENTIAL, but am not able to do so. With out any documents and with out any policy I am just charged money on my credit card.

                I am absolutely clue less on what to do. Please some one help me out.

                Respected Sir / Madam,

                I RAKESH KUMAR holding an ICICI Bank salaried account, and only my salary is deposited by the company in same A/C.

                ICICI Bank provided me Debit card, valid from 06/05 up to 05/15, the same card is called as ICICI VISA ELECTRON INTERNATIONAL DEBIT CARD, I am availing this facilities since July 2005.

                Up to 20 th September 2008 every transaction going smoothly, on 27 th September 2008 around 10:30 am, I needed some money for that purpose I went to ICICI bank, vashi ATM, when I operated my above VISA ELECTRON card the request was rejected for the transaction of Rs. 5000, I was surprised that the minimum balance was more than 1, 50, 000 Rs. in my account and was surprised how my request was rejected for the transaction, when I withdrawn balance statement I came to know that only Rs 93 was the balance in my A/C instead of Rs. 1, 50, 000.

                I know that I never withdrawn the cash amount in my A/C only one transaction done by me on 25/9/2008 for reliance network of Rs. 197, I went to ICICI bank, vashi branch and enquired about my transaction details and made a complain, Service Request number SR 81255335 on 27 th September 2008, and subsequently my card was blocked.

                On 18/10/2008 ICICI Bank provided me the transaction details and I came to know that all amounts have been withdrawn from Philippines, in the bank of Philippines Islands.

                I have never been to Philippines and have never given my card to any unknown person or friends and have never shared my pin number with anyone.

                I am sure that without the support ICICI bank staff my PIN number of my A/C No. cannot be disclosed, ICICI Bank staff or any other member of ICICI Bank must have provided my A/C PIN number to the unknown person and the amount was withdrawn from bank of Philippines Islands.

                Total of Rs. 1, 39, 390.62 was withdrawn from my A/C, , my ICICI VISA ELECTRON INTERNATIONAL DEBIT CARD was always in my personal possession, so transaction done between 21/09/08 to 27/09/08 were all fraud,

The account which I am using is a salaried account. Of course, for the past couple of months there is no salary deposited.                   How it is justified not maintaining of Rs 5000/- the penalty is Rs 3372/- Per Annum (Rs 843/- Quarterly X 4). Really They are blood suckers. Now it is the time to teach them lesson by closing all our accounts like saving a/c, demat a/c, mutual funds etc and move to some other nationalized banks.
                  QABChgs means Quarterly Average Balance Charges, Here From July to September. It is applicable if your a/c not maintained minimum amount. (say Rs 5000/-). ICICI recently increased minimum amount from Rs 5000/- to Rs 10, 000/-.

                  We had opened a bank account with Rs.10, 000.00 of Minimum Balance. But we had not done any transaction in bank from last 12 Months and we have not received any statement for this account. But last month I have download statement (starting to end) through internet banking and I have seen some charges regarding QAB (Quarterly Average Balance).                   I had a similar charge on my account. After speaking to the customer service rep I understood that the Quarterly Average Balance (QAB) should be a minimum of Rs.15, 000 (used to be Rs.5, 000) to avoid this charge. Quarters are based on the calendar year, so Jan 1st to Mar 31st is the first quarter.

                  I am a musician since 2002 and I opened a savings account in ICICI during 2003. At that time the bank said savings account eligibility is to maintain Rs.5000 balance minimum. Later since 2006 I came Mauritius and staying here. The bank has renewed its rules in 2007 july that Rs.10000 minimum balance should be maintained but I was not aware of it as I am in Mauritius. My balance was approximately 6, 500Rs at that time. Now throught internet I checked I noticed they have levied nearly Rs.3, 300/ from my savings account as Quarterly Average Balance charges. This is not justice at all. How can they suddenly change their rules. I am not able to deposit any funds from here till today. My very hard earned money is going like this. I am really hurt by ICICI Bank. They could have atleast block the account in order to make their customers maintain minimum balance. But taking the customer's money in this way that too so much high charges are not acceptable.

                  I opened icici direct trading account alongwith icici bank savings account. They said that it is a zero balance account but they later converted it to minimum 10k balance account which was not even informed to us. They started charging this QAB from the account. How unjustified it is ...we people work hard to earn this money...and these guys take away within a fraction of a second. For a normal salaried class its highly impossible to keep 10k available all the time. This is a new business idea to cheat common people like us. They don't even give 100 Rs as annual interest...but they easily earn 3400/- without any work. I hope they have plenty of accounts like this may be 1, 00, 000 it may have more numbers...

                  They have cut the same amount of 900 twice. It's not a small amount but a substantial percentage of my saving ! As far as i correctly remember, my account was zero balance or atleast a 5k for last four years and not a single rupee has been cut unnecessarily when i was there in country. If they have revised their policy, customers deserve to be notified at least! They have no right to cut a single penny without my authorization! If they have some charges on my name, ideally they should notify me first and get my authorization. If i don't comply, they can drag me to court but cannot touch MY ACCOUNT without my authorization! I am not in country so can't do anything other than watching helplessly my saving getting diminished day by day!
                  If we can unite and can file a group consumer court complaint against this dacoit bank, this will be great!

                      I am using icici bank gold credit card.I made a purchase of rs 14039 i failed to pay whole amount at one, i made payment of minimum amount as mentioned in credit card statement.now when i recived my next statement they have also charged for the grace period which i had according to your executives. so i just want ask i havent seen this type of interest any where.No bank can charge for grace period. i am not going to pay any amount unless or until this interest taken back.If icici bank will not take it back then i will go to consumer court to this problem.If icici have this type of rules so you should clear this before offering your cards.

                        Hi,

                        I had a very bad experience with ICICI Credit Card Services. When i got my new card, i didn't get any statements for the first few months. I called up the customer care to send me statements, so that i could pay my bill, but there was no response.

                        And then they kept adding late payment charges and interest charges, and finally they made my outstanding double the amount i spent.

                        Bad experience, i would never recommend anyone to have the ICICI Credit Card,
                        HDFC CC is much better i would say..

                          I santosh dalvi have an icici big bazaar card having credit limit of
                          23000/-I.R.In the month of Feb08 one of icici agent have called me for not doing the payment against my dues.The name of that agent is Mr.Suresh & his cell no is [protected].Then he told regarding the settlement agaist my dues to pay 1350/-I.R every month for 09 months on EMI basis.So I agreed with him and i have paid From Feb08 to july08 consistently the above said amount.After that i told to Mr.suresh that i will give u PDC for next remaining 03 months and give my settlement letter and at then he told that this payment is not against settlement but only ur ineterst.At then i stopped doing payment.As this is unfair.
                          And in the month of oct08 they have seized my saving salary account in icici bank, so that i cannot do transactions, and have seized my A/C without giving intimation to me.My outstanding amount showing aprrox.46751/-I.R .Iam ready for settlement but i will not pay above said payment and iwant negotation so pls contact on my cell and number is [protected].
                          As if i want to do fraud i would have been done but i want to do settlement so i had done payment from feb to july08.
                          My credit card no is [protected]. And it is request to u release my saving account becuse i[censored] dont then i have to close my account and stop my salary in that A/C. If that happens then there is no point in settlement.
                          So pls iam requesting u again as above & contact me on my cell for settling down my outsatanding as early as possible.

                          icici/big bazaar credit card — payment not updated

                          sir, i make a payment of Rs.200 on 03/11/2008 by cash in the main branch of icici bank of lucknow i.e.in Hazratganj, but still that payment is not refecting in my a/c, so plz do the needful.

                          ICICI Big Bazaar credit card — unwanted payment

                          I have Lost ICICI Bank Big Bazaar Credit Card No.[protected], in the name of MS Kavita Sharma in ICICI Bank, West Patel Nagar Branch while depositing my Credit Card Payment. I have intimated to Customer Care Executive immediately to block this card.

                          As per my request, blocking of our card was done immediately by the concerned authorities. when I received my Credit Card Statement, I was really shocked to know that somebody has purchased goods of worth Rs.15, 775 against the above card whereas the blocking of this card has been done on 8th August, 07.

                          I launched F.I.R. dated 25.08.2007.

                          I have also launched written complaint to ICICI Bank Investigation Dept. through your executive. He assured me that he will investigate about it.

                          In my Sept. month statement, there was fraud payment credited & balance shows 2.75Cr. I felt satisfaction.

                          But after that recovery executives started to threaten me on phone. I told them that I have my statement showing nill balance but till then these type of phone calls are threatening me continuously.

                          I have also written about this case several times on ICICI website but no response has been received from their side.

                          Now the recovery executive has started to call on my landlord phone & they are using very rough & cheep language. I have told them & request to visit me to see the nill balance statement but nobody has come but phone calls are continue.

                          I am so much depressed & harassed so please help me.

                          Initially the service was nice. During my last purchase of 3120/- dated 28/sep/2008 from Saharaganj lucknow, i have paid 3130/- amount through cash in at your Allambaugh branch on 4/11/08 and 11/11/08.
                          Allready i have 100/- Rs. advance earlier. After that i have got following intimation from your bankn on my cell numer: [protected]...

                          1) Dated 3/12/08 due amount 221.08/-
                          2) Dated 2/1/09 due amount 677.78/-
                          3) Dated 1/2/09 due amount 1141.86/-
                          4) Dated 21/2/09 due amount 1613.90/-

                          Since 20/november/08 i am in Gujarat and i could undewrstand regarding the above mention intimation on my cell number.
                          Morover, i have not redeived any bill for above amount, only massages are there on my cell.
                          You are kindly requested to do needful in above matter at your earliest and inform me the status..
                          This is equal to mental harrashment to me.

                              I Have been issued your credit card no.[protected] in the name of Momin khan r/o Subhash gali, Vishwas nagar, Shahdara, Delhi.
                              As soon as I got my credit even without using it I came to new that air tickets of GoAirlines and Kingfisher Airlines total amounting to Rs 51980/-on dt 15/09/08 has been done without my knowledge.As soon as I got the statement I was shocked to see the total due amount as I have never used this card before.I immediately called up the customer care No.and spoke to the executive in this regard and told me that a case has been lodged in this regard and ref no.82754935 was given to me for my greivience.My earlier card as mentioned above has been blocked and a new card has been issued which I have duly received.
                              I sincerely request you to kindly look into the matter as early as possible so that I am able to use the credit card and also tell me if any further compalints are to be lodged anywhere else.

                                THE AGENT OF BANK HAS ASSURED ME THAT WHILE I PURCHASE THEIR ICICI LOMBARD POLICY PAYING THROUGH MY ICICI CREDIT CARD YOU WILL BE GIVEN CREDIT LIMIT EXTENDED. I THEN HAS ALSO BEIGN ASSURED THAT YOU CAN DISCONTINUE YOUR POLICY IN THE NEXT MONTH.                                 ICICI Credit Card — Wrong Deduction

                                I have taken a credit card number [protected] with the ICICI Bank. I have booked two air tickets from Delhi to Mumbai through Yatra.Com in the month of December-2008 but due to some technical error, the amount got deducted by four times in my account instead of two ticket’s amount. I have sent a request mail to ICICI Bank for correction of false transaction and cash back. After one month, that wrongly debited amount got credited in my account.
                                Now I’m really surprised that ICICI bank has again debited my account for that amount to Rs.10590 in the month of August-09. I don’t know what is the reason of this false entry?
                                So I would like to request you please solve the matter and advice me for further action.

                                    ICICI Bank is such a cheat that despite making a full and final settlement towards Credit Card they have failed to issue me a settlement letter and when questioned they said that I need to give a security check of some charges to the amount of 2500 Rs as a proof and post that they will issue me a settlement letter and that it was just a security check and that the amount will not be withdrawn from my account. But this amount was withdrawn from my Citibank account. And they keep sending me statements despite numerous calls and e-mails to them. When I made the full and final settlement I also cut up my credit card and gave it back to the collection agent.

                                    And now they have withdrawn a huge amount of over 26, 000 Rs from my savings bank account with ICICI under pretext of Credit Crad charges (Don't know what as I do not even have their Credit card). I am also trying to lodge a complaint against ICICI at the RBI website where there is an option of lodging complaints against bank, but the complaint form link does not seem to be working right now. Is there any way you can help here.

I assured the account manager to I will settle the crisis with credit card dept once i will be back in pune. I will in pune on 31 OCT 2008.

                                    After 3 days I found they debit Rs 50000 from my account without informg me.
                                    How any bank can do this way ? ...

                                    Matter is not of 50 000, its safe banking which i feel this bank is not safe at all.

                                    If I am liable for any amount, I will pay, but Bank did & bahave like dectetor without informing costomer they withdarw the amount from my account. bank does not have legal rights to do .

                                    I AM SAVING BANK ACCOUNT HOLDER (WEALTH MANAGEMENT) OF ICICI BANK. ON 31ST MARCH THERE WAS A DEBIT OF RS.8096/- FROM MY SAVING ACCOUNT. ON ENQUIRY FROM THE HELPLINE I AM BEING TOLD THAT THERE WAS SOME OUTSTANDING ON YOUR CREDIT CARD OF FEBRUARY 2003. THE SAID CARD EXPIRED IN YEAR 2005. IF THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN AN OUTSTANDING ON MY CREDIT CARD AND BANK IS AUTHORIZED TO DEBIT OR LINK SAVINGS BANK ACCOUNT WITH CREDIT CARD OUTSTANDING, WHY IT TOOK BANK 6 LONG YEARS TO DEBIT THE PAYMENT THAT TOO WITHOUT GIVING AN PRIOR INFORMATION. ALSO WHY BANK DID NOT SENT ANT STATEMENT OF TRANSACTION OR REMINDERS FROM THE SAME.

                                      Complaint of wrong procedures adopted by ICICI Bank No Transparency of Interest Calculation.

                                      On 14th oct. I had submitted arequest to close my NRO FD no[protected] which was opened on 26/5/2007 & was automatically renewed on 26/5/2008. The FD was closed on 16/10/2008.As such the period of FD was 365+143 = 508 Days.

                                      On renewal on 26/5/2008 the amount in deposit was Rs5, 44, 875/- on 26/5/2009 I had to get a maturity value of Rs 5, 89, 790/- that means an Interest of Rs 44, 915/- less TDS. for 365 days.

                                      In this regard I was surprised to note that for 143 days only Rs 7685/- has been credited to my account.

                                      On my other FDR no[protected] for Rs 5000/- opened on 28/6/2008 where I was to get an Interest of Rs 412/- for 365days, I have been paid only Rs 54/- for 100 days

                                      There is one another case of FDR no.[protected]. As the funds were short in my account & there had been a delay in getting money, I submitted a request by internet banking to close said FD of Rs 1, 75, 000/- opened in Feb, 2008. The amount balance in a/c was more than Rs 1, 80, 000/- & maturity value was more than Rs 1, 89, 000/- on maturity.

                                      Meantime the amount expected was credited in the account & I wanted to cancel the request. There was no provision of cancelling the request in the Netbanking. Hence I had no alternative but to send the e-mail facility provided in the account.

                                      Next day on checking the account & my e-mail. There was no e-mail reference. The FD was closed & Rs 1, 78, 000/- was credited to my account. Only Rs 3000/ as interest for more than 200 days of deposit, whereas more than Rs 14000/- was to be paid for 365 days. Prompt action taken to close FD but no action on e-mail sent. Because it is in the interest of Bank.

                                      Banking system should have transparent system to tell its customer how much loss will be there if FD is closed prematurely.

                                      It clearly indicates that procedure adopted by you for Interest calculation is wrong somewhere. Hence I subitmtted my request to the bank to calculate the Interest properly & pay the credit the correct amount in my account for all the three said FDRs with details.

                                      Meanwhile I want the forum to note that how ICICI Bank cheats its customers. Help me to get proper Interest. I have personal interest but if the procedures become transparent & shorcomings of the systems are removed it will help everybody & all persons will have faith in Banking procedures. Else Banks will go on cheating its customers.

                                      ICICIBANK — Account closed but penalty levied

                                      My account no[protected] at ICICI bank, at Road no.36, Jubilee hills, Hyderabad was closed as early as April 2003.But, 4 yrs after that, since April 2007 I, m getting summary of account from the Bank, showing negative balance in the(already closed )account against QAB chgs and interest there in etc.
                                      Plz correct the error and don't send any such account summary because I don't want to operate this account.

                                      I completely agree that ICICI bank has a problem when it comes to premature closure of FDs.
                                      My case is outlined below. Shows how indifferent and callous the bank can get when it comes to premature closure.
                                      Just request for taking an FD or default on your credit card payments and you will be flooded with phone calls and agents. Why not the response to premature closure of FDs ?
                                      This response leads me to suspect the undamentals of the bank and makes a mockery of the e mails and SMSs sent by their MD Mr Vaidyanathan as also statements made by Chanda Kochar giving assuances to the contrary . I hope we are not looking at another LEHMANN in the making.

                                      I had taken an FD with ICICI bank for Rs 3 Lakhs on 04 Aug 2007.The same is due for maturity on 10 Jan 2010. The above FD was taken by me through net banking request and as such no FD receipt was issued.
                                      On 15 Oct 08, i made an on line request for premature closure of the FD vide reference number SR8280007.
                                      To this i got an SMS saying that nothing can be done on my request since the FD receipt was held by me.
                                      When i spoke to the Assistant branch manager (Ms Maria)of the concerned branch ie Trichy Cantt branch on telephone on 18 Oc 08, i was told that FD receipt had not been sent by the branch to me erroneously and that they would be sending the FD receipt to me by courier. The courier is yet to arrive.
                                      My appeals to ICICI bank custmer care have been of no avail.
                                      I had never asked for an FD receipt. Then why was it made in the first place. I have 3 more deposits with the branch and all of them were requested on net banking. I do not have FD receipts for any of those.
                                      When there is a procedure for premature closure of FD on NET banking, why is the bank harassing me with an FD receipt issue, which in any case has not been issued by them.
                                      Why is ICICI bank customer care taking so long to resolve this issue ?
                                      Are we to understand that our deposits with ICICI bank are unsafe and hence these are delay tactics by the bank to hoodwink their customers?
                                      Can the consumer forum please help out?

                                      On 11.10.08, I surrendered the above mentioned FDR for pre matured payment at your Gorakhpur Branch, I was surprised to receive your pay order dated 11.10.08 on 13.10.08 for Rs.545,537/ only. No statement of a/c was given to me inspite of my several requests.Finally on 01.11.08, I sent a notice to your Gorakhpur branch under copy to your head office by reistered post to know as to how a sum of Rs.40,664/ was deducted as penlity for just 12 days of prematured payment !!

                                      No reply is received as yet.

                                      ICICI Bank — ICICI Bank CHEATS!!!

                                      I had taken a loan from ICICI bank. The loan number is LBASL [protected]. The EMI's were directly debited from my account in ICICI Bank. The A/C number is[protected]. But after some time there were some issues and henceforth an agent would come to my house to collect cheques for the EMI amount. The agent insisted that he will come to my place every month and collect the cheques and that I need not submit the money in my account. This was continuing till date. The bank did never send a quarterly statement of my account. Whenever I wanted a quarterly statement I was charged from my account. As it was a zero balance account I did not maintain a balance there. The mini statements showed that I had a POSITIVE balance in my account. Now I had encashed a ICICI Prudential policy and wanted the amount to be submitted to my account in ICICI Bank. After the amount for that was deposited, I found that the bank had deducted a sum around Rs. 8000.00 from my account. When I enquired I came to know that this amount was due to my account. When I wanted to know the reason they said that as I had autodebit facility and that I did not maintain the balance there were some dues which were deducted. When I said that why wasn't this due reflected in the account mini-statement, they had no answers. I think this was DELIBERATELY DONE TO INCREASE THE DUE AMOUNT and to CHEAT. I wanted to have a word with the manager, as he was not available I had a word with his representative. The person representing the manager committed to it that this amount can be refunded but only after authorization from the manager. He also committed that it will take a day or so to get that amount refunded but I will have to wait till the manager arrives. When my father visited the bank he was told that whatever the MANAGER'S REPRESENTATIVE COMMITTED TO WAS JUST TO PACIFY FOR THE TIME BEING and that no such thing can be done. When I called the manager(MR. SAHA, phone number: [protected]) over phone he said that every communication was a mutual one and that I dont have a documented copy so nothing can be done.
                                      Now I have a few questions for you:
                                      1) WHY WAS REGULAR QUARTERLY BANK STATEMENTS NOT PROVIDED?
                                      2) WHY WAS I MISLEAD BY THE COLLECTION AGENT?
                                      3) WHY WAS THE DUE AMOUNT NOT REFLECTED IN THE ACCOUNT MINI-STATEMENT?
                                      4) WHY WAS SOMETHING THAT WAS COMITTED BY A MANAGER'S REPRESENTATIVE NOT ACTIONED?
                                      5) SHOULD I BRING A NOTARY AND STAMP PAPER AND GET EVERY COMMUNICATION DOCUMENTED AND SIGNED AND STAMPED ?

                                      I had recently closed my FD prematurely with ICICI Bank and in the same situation. I'm contacting ICICI Bank through various channels including so called dedicated customer care for wealth customer, my RM, email, netbanking to get the explanation of the amount credited in my account. It has been over 2 weeks and I'm yet to get any response.

                                      Here was my Query:

                                      I had done the Premat closure of FD 0151****4646 and the Service request is successfully executed. It was opened on Aug 26 2011. It was booked at the original rate of 9.25%. According to the Premat clause, it will now receive the rate for which the deposit was with the bank – penalty (1% in this case), so it calculates to 9% - 1% = 8%. However the actual amount credited in the savings account is much lesser than this (excluding the TDS already deducted). So please provide the FD account statement showing the calculation to arrive at the final figure.

                                      Premature withdrawal of Deposit:
                                      On pre-mature withdrawal of the deposit:
                                      - interest will be calculated at the rate applicable for the period the deposit has actually remained with ICICI Bank.
                                      - penalty will be levied on the rate applicable as per the table below (Shows 1% for the said FD Parameter)

                                      My RM is assuring the response will be sent soon but its too much time for a simple explanation.
                                      I've even sent him qtr by qtr calculation of the FD and I'm pretty sure there has been at least Rs 5000 less received.

                                      A lame answer from a customer executive was "Sir, we just put in the request in the computer system and it calculates the amount". When I asked to send me the details by email, they said this is voice channel and they cannot send email. I was with them for 30 mins and they could not get any better answer than the above.

                                      I guess, As a next step, I need to go to Consumer Court.
