Sir/Madam,
Please refer your letter No. ICW/C[protected] dated 7th October, 2008 regarding due of Rs. 5983.18 against the above said credit card. In this regard I would like to inform you that my credit card was running very smoothly with your esteem bank for many years and there was no any problem at all. However in the month of September, 2007, I received a credit card statement to deposit Rs. 10990/- from your bank and as I always do, I deposited a cheque No. 480311 for Rs. 10990/-drawn on State Bank of India, Seelampur Branch Delhi in your bank on 14th September, 2007 which was duly encased from my bank ( State bank of India, seelampur branch, ) on 20th September, 2008.
However I received a call some time on 3rd or 4th October, 2007 that your bank not received my payment, I informed them that I have made full payment in time wide cheque no. 480311 of SBI, Seelampur branch and after checking from my bank passbook I informed that cheque was encashed from my bank on 20th September, 2007 itself. In that response your executive asked me to submit a letter from my banker about encashment of the above said cheque. Next day I approached my banker and asked them to issue a letter regarding encashment of Cheque No. 480311. On my request State Bank of India, Seelampur Branch issued me a letter dated 5th October, 2008 about the encashment of cheque No. 480311 for Rs. 10, 990/- issued in favour of ICICI BANK CREDIT CARD NO. [protected] on 20th September, 2008.As required I faxed the said letter of my banker to the fax number given by your executive of your Bank when they called me about the payment.
After fax I thought that matter is over and your bank will credit the amount and account will be settled. I was surprised when I received the statement of November with late payment charges, Interest on the amount I have already paid on due date and service tax thereon. I contacted your bank and your executive told me that they will see and if your payment received in time we will waive the charges. There after, I received various call from your DSA for payment but when i informed them about not crediting the payment they were not ready to heard but only asked to make the payment at lease minimum payment and they are ready to come to collect the amount. In this process only in the Month of January, 2008 your bank credited the above said cheque. My sincerity to settle the matter can be seen from the fact that when I received the call, I approached my bank on the very next day for cheque encashment certificate and faxed to your bank on 5th October, 2007 itself.
Since the above process of your bank taken about 4 months to give a credit of the cheque charges i.e. Late Payment Charges, Interest on the late payment charges, Service tax pile up th amount to by Rs. 600-700 per month and made the amount more than Rs. 2500/- When I asked them to drop/waive the above charges they drop/waive for 2 months on the ground that in your bank no body is authorised to drop/waive the abvoe said charges for more than 2 months.
After the above incidence I discontinue to use your bank card and made the payment of standing instruction payment of my Idea Phone bill and One Life Insurance premium on due date to avoid your unjustified charges. Once I received a call from your bank that we will drop/waive entire charges wrongly debited to your account if you deposit Rs. 800/- I deposited that amount also. Again I received a call from your bank that you deposit Rs. 1250/- and we will drop/waive the above charges and i again deposited the same in good gesture but my all efforts gone in vain because every call from your bank is to recover the amount only on whatever true or false statement to waive/ drop the charges but no body is ready to hear the complaint/ grievance of the customer/card holder .Now you can see that what i am doing to settle the matter and what is your bank is doing to settle the matter.
I further like to mentioned that the above said dues against me is only on account of late charge, interest charges, service tax compounding month by month without look into the matter that when a genuine card holder has paid the amount in time how can he first pay late payment charge, interest on late payment and service tax thereon which was growing compounding month by month. If you will see my card statement you will find that at present after write off the above said charges my credit will show a credit balance of about Rs. 500 because your bank has charges the above said charges for the more than 10 months.
I further like to mentioned that the representative of your DSA only interesting to recover the money from credit card holder and they do not even hear complaint of the card holder. They are damaging the reputation of your esteem bank and I request you to look into the matter.
I Hope you will find my letter in order and after examining the fact of the case drop these unnecessary / unjustified charges and Clear the matter. However I would like to inform you that
For your reference i am again enclosing the copy of the Cheque encashment certificate from my banker dated 5th October, 2007.

I had taken a PL from your reputed bank around 2 years back on INR 1, 50, 000.my per month EMi amount was INR 3770, which i was paying pretty well.
I changed my job and luckily I got an ICICI salary account.I was happy and thought of shifting my ECS to it from my previous account.
The CCR in the Lord Sinha road office said that i would need to pay INR 1000 for the same.I was really surprised.
This took them nearly 3 months to do the same when I naturally didnt want to pay 1000 just to change from my prior bank to ICICI itself.
I went or a trainig from my present company so was out of India for around 5 months, so oviously the EMis were not paid which I think is a mistake, but wht ICICI did to harrass me was to put a block to my salary account.I dont know if they are permitted to do that, but still may be they have.
On the other hand while i was out, my cancer patient mother who was alone in the house recieved several Threat calls from the call centers of yours.and the languages they used were really splendid.
To state the fact, ICICI loans and Credit cards to have a negative impact o customers but I do repect it.
So I would really appreciate if the blockage in my salary account be removed asap, and after that please do the ECS procedure from it to my Loan account which is LPCAL[protected].
