I am Anirudh Jain, I have been with ICICI bank since 2019. On[protected], INR 481.83 was deducted from my account without any alert message. I was not informed by my RM or any other representative for the opening of the Demat account. On[protected]at 02:00 pm, I received an email stating that the charges of the Demat account are billed for the amount of INR 826. This is the time when this came to my notice. I registered a complaint on the online portal of ICICI Bank (Level-1). Only the auto-generated emails were received. Then on 15th May 2021, I emailed customer.[protected]@icicibank.com for the issue. But again the irrelevant reply was received. On 18th May 2021, I wrote an email again about the past replies and about the issue still persists. On 21st May 2021, again I emailed the issue mentioning all the ticket numbers I've raised on the portal and reply I received. I also stated that no Level -2 number is generated while submitting the complaint. Then on 24th May 2021, I received a call from a representative where I told the whole issue and how it disturbed me during the pandemic time. Post that, I received an email stating that I have to submit the charges and they will be refunded on a pro-rata basis. While I stated that the Demat account is opened without my acknowledgment. I have debited my whole amount from the salaried account, post that I received an email stating that the Bank representative (SM) has contacted and convinced me to the applied charges and told me the steps to close the account. Instead, I have already told the SM on call as well as on mail that I will not bear any charges and I will not initiate any request of closing the Demat account as it is opened without my acknowledgment. Now, on 10th July 2021, I received an email stating the outstanding amt and that I have to deposit the charges in 30days.
I request ICICI Bank to look into this issue and credit back all the charges they have deducted in the name of the Demat account.
