I hold an icici credit card. I wanted to close an emi hence i requested to phone banking officer, and the final amount told was 24, 526/-. So i confirmed the executive to make a emi closure request. Next time when i checked the statement, i have been charged with over-limit fee. I contacted customer care, and asked that the phone banking officer could have told me there might be a overlimit fee, so i could have act accordingly. Executive replied, its not a mandatory process for an executive to inform about overlimit fee. It seems icici policies are against "khayal aapka". It should be transparent as much as possible. They have been waiting for you to make a mistake to charge you.
It was my first emi. And, have been a timely payer.
So i kindly request you to reverse the over-limit fee as first time courtesy and amend the policy for better and transparent service.

Updated by snehashishpanigrahi So far no action has been taken. Due date is 20th, I am definitely not responsible for the overcharge limit fee. In the first place it shouldn't have exceeded my credit limit, and emi closure or whatever payments I made post the limit should have got declined. Credit limit defines so. Or executive should have informed.
