We acknowledge the receipt of your e-mail regarding Demat Account.
We would like to inform you that we have received the application for opening of a Demat Account duly completed and signed in all respects under Basic Service demat account (BSDA) category, based on which the captioned Demat Account was opened on October 24, 2016.
Under this scheme, value of Securities held in the Demat Account shall not exceed Rupees Two Lakhs at any point of time. If the value of holding in such BSDA exceeds the prescribed criteria at any date, the DPs may levy charges as applicable to regular accounts (non-BSDA) from that date onwards.
Charges:
1. No Annual Maintenance Charges (AMC) shall be levied, if the value of holding is up to Rs. 50, 000.
2. For the value of holding from Rs 50, 001 to Rs 200, 000, AMC not exceeding Rs.100/- may be charged.
However, Demat annual maintenance charges of Rs. 826.00 was levied on October 31, 2017 as the limit of holding value exceeds, in your Account.
The limit laid by the Regulatory Authorities is Rs. 2 Lakh, where as your Account, the present holding value is more than 2 Lakh.
