Sir,
I have an idea cell phone connection bearing no. [protected] and it is being used by my daughter since 2013 and regularly paying bills since then. On 13th of august, 2019, my daughter while going to usa, she applied for roaming facility to us only that too for calls and sms only. And paid necessary charges (Rs. 149/- for feature adding fees and changed into nirvana 299/- pack) there at customer care idea showroom and they did't inform the tariff and penalities there. She travelled to usa between 15/8/2019 to 16/8/2019. After that her phone number was barred and she didn't get any signal there. She asked me (In india) enquire about this at idea showroom.
On 20/8/2019 (Around) on enquiry at idea showroom, they informed me that my bill amount reached 26, 000/- out of my credit limit of rs.23, 000/- and hence they disconnected it. They did not give me details and asked me to wait upto 4/9/2019 (Bill receiving date for me). And they expressed their helplessness and further informed me send a representation to idea customer care through email that too after receiving the detailed bill.
On 4/9/2019, i received a detailed bill from idea customer care through email. To my surprise, i noticed that i was charged like this below.
Uk data download (24 mb only) rs. 12, 225/-
Usa data download (24 mb only) rs. 13, 810/-
Usa call charges (26 minutes) rs. 2, 013/-
Total bill comes to rs. 31, 592/- (After inclusion of gst etc)
In this connection i want to tell you that i never asked/opted for roaming in uk & data download. I asked/opted for roaming in us that too calls and sms only not data. Please note this. I never asked you for hike in credit limit to rs.23, 000/-. (Actually i am regularly paying monthly rs.800/- only.)
In this connection i request you to revise the above bill duly deleting data download charges (Because i never asked you for data download facility either at us or uk in roaming). I am a small employee paying rs.800/- monthly bill regularly, and i never asked you before to enhance my credit limit of rs.23, 000/-)
In case if you are unable to revise my bill nearer to my regular monthly bill amount, disconnect my cell phone number [protected] from today onwards and stop my cell bill immediately and don't raise bill here after. I don't need your cell number here after. Sorry, i could not pay the bill. I will go to the local consumer courts and other consumer forums and appealate authorities and trai etc for justice.
