Its very pathetic and misleading behavior from idea franchise (Challuvelil Building College Road Erattupetta-686122, Erattupetta, Kerala 686122) office. They are providing false information to the customers. I went there for sim card duplication (which is blocked automatically), they told me, its important to recharge with Rs. 100/-(only) and they billed the amount. The actual thing is, required only Rs. 50/- as minimum balance. They can do a recharge of Rs. 65/- instead making Rs. 100/- compulsory.

    I had opted for a plan of below Rs. 100/- inclusive of taxes some 8-10 months back. Towards end of the month of February 2019 my hand set had some issues and stopped working. Since I could not get that repaired, I didn't use the service. All of a sudden from the m/o March 2019 onwards I saw a hefty amount showing in my ebill received on my email. Since then I have been calling the customer care and the explanation I am being given is that my plan has been changed to Rs. 299/- per month.

    How can a company change a without taking the customer into the loop and that a 200% hike in the plan. I am being told to pay the full amount and that nothing can be done to waive off the amount unnecessarily levied upon me.

    I have been a customer for the past 11 -12 years and I am very much disappointed the way I have been treated and cheated by your company.

    I would like a full waiver since the Rs. 299/- have been forced on me otherwise I would be forced to go to the consumer court.

    It is not a very big amount but the thing is that I should be aware of what I have opted for.

    I hope to have a fair and fast resolution in this case so that I am not forced to further mental trauma cause by your side.

      I lost my prepaid sim a month ago, i visited the idea store located in Gwalior, Mp to apply for a new sim(same number). They issued me a new sim and said that it will get activated within the day. But even after many follow ups and store visits they are unable to address the issue and activate the number.Its been more than 10 days now and the number is still not activated. I am facing a lot of troubles due to this is the number is linked to all my bank accounts. I am stuck as i cant get the number ported untill it gets activated. Please help

        We have submitted a number for porting on May 10th to your Nagpur franchisee (CA Road) with all relevant documents. We have paid the bill plus some amount more to the current service provider. Even after one month, your store employee says that the job is not done and we have to start the process again with sending for UPC !

        Then the billing cycle of the service provider comes and the process will be delayed for payment of pending bill. Till then the process will continue for ant o[censored]PC . The process continues...?

        The number given for portability is [protected] and the service provider is Tata Docomo.

        What we shall do to come over the fiasco? please suggest.

          sim not allowed

          Since morning my Idea number was working properly, but all of sudden mobile started showing message SIM NOT ALLOWED. I tried basic steps like:
          1. SIM card cleaning.
          2. Changing handset.
          3. Manual network selection.

          Nothing worked can you please tell me what has happened to my number services?

          Please sort out the issue ASAP.

          I tried calling your customer care but its hopeless....

          Frustrated with Idea. Last month I upgraded my sim for 4G. From that day service is not started. Did rounds and round to idea store with my 5 day old baby (no humanity to give preference seeing baby and a person with post delivery pain). Changed sim thrice, didn't work. From store they sent mail to company still no reply. Everyday calling customer care that are just saying we solve your problem in couple of hrs. At least do favor of starting my SMS service so that I can port my number in another telecoms. Will never choose Idea in future. Now I want to complain Idea in consumer forum for such mental stress.

            I had submitted a MNP request to port my number out from Idea on 07-Jun-2019 afternoon. Later, in the evening, on checking with customer care for the payment of any outstanding bills, I was told that my MNP request is rejected and I need to submit the request again through the new service provider. The new service provider is asking for the SMS from Idea which says that MNP is rejected to submit a new request. I do not have any SMS from Idea saying that the MNP request is rejected; it's only the customer care which says that the MNP request is rejected.

            I have written a detailed email asking for clarifications, but haven't received any response till date. The customer care teams are not able to understand the problems and not able to give a concrete answer.

            Now, it's been more than three days, I am not aware of the status of my MNP port out request, I have to travel over next 5-10 days and the new service provider is not ready to accept the port in request.

            Please help.

              Idea makes a worst network in India. It makes false and frivolous deductions from the customer. My recent deduction was by taking SMS charges and network configuration settings where the provider shall to be provided was deducted from my account.

              Your last 4 call and SMS deduction details are: 1) Rs.1.50 charged for Outgoing SMS to [protected] on 08/06/2019 08:45:41 2) Rs.1.50 charged for Outgoing SMS to [protected] on 08/06/2019 08:15:59 3) Rs.1.00 charged for Outgoing SMS to [protected] on 05/06/2019 10:41:16 4) Rs.1.00 charged for Outgoing SMS to [protected] on 05/06/2019 10:21:22
              Here the first 2 deductions was done by Idea themselves.
              They also does fraudster in supplying different tariffs against recharged plans.

                I am using the idea postpaid connection regularly for ten years my no is [protected]. Today I requested them to change my plan from 399 to 299 they changed my plan but all my remaining data 235 GB was lost as I talk to coustmer care they said if you degrade the plan the data will lost. I said why is it so we have paid for that data this is no excuse they are cheating.

                  I have a prepaid Idea mobile number. These days to earn more profits all mobile operators have introduced Rs 35 recharge minimum to keep the phone active.

                  I came across Rs 100 recharge option for Idea prepaid. It however said Plan details as Talktime Rs 100 Validity No validity.
                  This is misleading. It may give an impression to buyers that there's no validity to the plan.
                  Yet it's still only valid for 28 days. I got it confirmed after calling Idea customer care.
                  In a thin voice the representative said that there's no validity on talktime, which is again misleading.
                  This way Idea will get more subscribers in a short time and later they will realize that they have made a mistake by buying this plan.

                      I was having an Idea Postpaid connection and almost 2 years back, I have ported the number to a different service provider. Idea has recently issued me an invoice after almost 2 years of porting my Mobile number to a new service provider.
                      They have issued the invoice just stating as balance carried forward with out mentioning the amount description.
                      At the time of number porting, I have settled all the outstanding dues and there was no bills afterwards.

                        Hello Team,

                        I want to let you know that my number ( [protected] ) has been recharged today twice for the same amount of 199 RS/-. However, the system should not have accepted the amount twice for the same plan.

                        It was recharged first by google pay using number ( [protected] ) which is my husband's number and then unknowingly I recharged it by using same google pay ( [protected] ) for the same plan.

                        I got only one confirmation for the amount which was made by me using ( [protected] ) .

                        Now my concern is that both the recharge are for same plan amount of 199 RS/.

                        I want the reversal of the extra amount 199 RS/- which was made by mistakenly.

                        Refund my amount.

                          I haven't getting signal for my prepaid idea sim card.
                          I tried manually selecting networks, it didn't work. Restarted the phone many times, didn't work. I even tried putting the sim in another handset, it still did not work.

                          What do I do now.
                          I can't call or receive calls.

                          I can't understand what the issue is.
                          It's been almost 15 hours and this issue is still not resolved.
                          Please try providing a solution ASAP.

                            I have converted my Idea numbers([protected] and [protected]) from postpaid to prepaid on 04/06/2019. When I try to recharge error msg appears 'Please enter a valid Idea number'.

                            I checked with the customer care as well, they said that the number is active and functional. I cant receive and make calls as during making calls Idea Says "you can not make the call as your account is barred and you have no service". I tried to log a complaint with Idea but they say my number is active as Prepaid Number. I have been using the same number as postpaid for years. This is a very poor service from such a reputed brand.

                              I have a idea postpaid connection.this month my dialer tone was renewed without my consent.. at the time of subscription the executive who convinced me for activation of dialer tone told me that after expiry the dialer tone will be automatically deactivated. Now they have send me the bill with subscription charges. I dont want any dialer tone. I havent paid the bill till now. I am not going to pay the subscription charges in any case. Please look into the matter asap. I have even talked to the customer care executive. They are not ready to deduct the subscription charges. They are saying you have to pay the charges.

                                I have recently travelled to Kolkata for business purpose and there was a delay in bill payment hence my sim is deactivated and post the payment the Sim is still deactivated and customer care executive is asking me to come to Bangalore from Kolkata to get a new Sim. Such a irresponsible answer and also I dont understand why i have to exchange some now which was working fine till yesterday.

                                  My idea no. [protected] is not working for last 10 days. I had visited idea store for complaint then the representative told me that there is a technical issue in server but we don't know when it will get resolved. I had recharged with rs. 398 plan for 84 days now my 10 days are already got wasted also my no is registered for many important services. I had already registered a complaint with idea cc. I demand that either idea extend my service validity or give me full refund of my recharge amount.

                                    Address: Purba Medinipur, West Bengal, 721607

                                    I have done a recharge of 309 on 28- may'2019 which includes unlimited calling, 1gb/day with a validity of 84days. This features were mentioned in the paytm through which i was doing the recharge..
                                    After the recharge is successful, i have got a message that unlimited call is applicable only for idea to idea calls.
                                    I m really feeling cheated.. Please its my earnest request to look into the matter as soon as possible..

                                      Ihad been using idea no [protected] since 10 years. Now my sim is damaged and i went to idea store for new sim, then i came to know that the no is registered on some other person name. But i gave my original documents at the time of purchasing the sim. Therefore please guide how to get the new for same no. As i central govt employee and no is very important for me. I have provided the same no in many documents.
