Hi,

I have paid a sum of 3000 rs when i wanted to turn on international roaming on my idea post paid number.

I have already deactivated the international roaming facility on my postpaid connection and then i contacted idea to return my money.

They are not willing to refund the money back. They told that i need to visit the idea cellular office and submit a requested and then after 50+ days they will send a cheque to my address.

The problem is they never send a cheque and you are just stuck in a loop.

I am going to follow the steps mentioned in a quora article "how-do-i-file-a-complain-against-idea-cellular-network-in-consumer-forum" and do complaint against idea.

    Respected sir,

    My mother had applied for the credit card when the bank people said that she can apply for one and asked her to do so .Few days later my mother got a phone call from phone number : [protected] saying that they are calling from sbi and they said all the details about my mother to convince that they are calling from bank this made my mother to believe that they are calling from bank then they asked the details of the card saying that they will activate it, then my gave the details of the card and said the otp then four transactions took place and we lost 20, 000 RS/- by this fraud.

    We want our money back, and we want to know how our bank details got leaked from a prestigious bank in India like SBI, We want you people to take seriouss action on those people who are responsible for this and punish them severely.
    I am attaching all the details of the transactions and the phone calls we got.

        Above is the complaint number for a refund from idea cellular for rs.73.75/- since nov 2017, they just keep saying that they have sent the dd on the address which was never received.

        I raise the complaint against the same in mar 2018 but still, they have not sent any dd.

        I want my payment of rs.73.75/- plus additional late payment charges of rs 50.00.

        If idea expects a late payment charge for late payment of pending bills so do i.

        Kindly take this as most urgent.

          Idea outsourced representative taken money based on discussion with idea representative. Idea representative conveyed he shall get the amount adjusted in the subsequent bills. But when my bill doesn't reflect that adjustment, then i called customer care, they are telling if you can provide his name then they can check internally to which i replied i don't remember his name you can check internally who got my connection done. To this he simply denied of adjusting the charges. I planning to file consumer court case against idea. As this has become unacceptable and these idea sales people openly robbing public with false promise of adjustment later on.

            Hi,

            I have paid the balance bill payment of rs.552.00 on[protected]. But still i am receiving the sms to attend lokadalat on[protected]. I don't know why they filed the case if they received the amount. This is very ridiculous and even not checking the payment which we have paid. They don't have time to check the payment details but they have time to send the notices to the customers.

            Please file a case on this regarding and make it resolve the issue.

              Hi,

              I've started receiving mails with this subject recently. Not sure what about these notices are thought of posting complaint herewith, as i've disconnected the service back in Dec 2008 after clearing dues in person at Pune.

              Also i tried calling the legal representative mention in the email below, however his number does not exist, what a pathetic service, even representative or calling nos are not active - Atul /[protected]

                I updated my idea 3g sim to idea 4g, i am unable to receive any messages from others friends, banks etc. Due to my business i am usually & time to time in need money transfer regarding otp sms from my bank (Which is ok before upgrading to 4g).
                I contacted customer care of idea they told me it is activated after 24 hour, although my all services is activted except messages.

                When i approach to outlet of idea they told to contact customer care & helpless.

                I have been facing lot of inconveniences & problems due to this, i lost some faith by my regular customer.
                Because my business work nature is — quick service - tatkal money transfer... But due to this message problem i can not do my work as per tatkal...

                  This is shyam sunder gande i a using idea network from past 2years...today morning i got a msg from idea i;e RC398=Unlimited calls+117GB 3G/4Gfor 84days...and at the same time i called to customer care service regarding this offer but customer executive says that is not 84 days that is for 70days...at that i asked for that person the what is the reason for sending that message clearly mentioned in the plan details but customer agent says if you have any details you can speak to my manager ani... Dear idea operator head if you dont have a capacity to run your service you cal sold your network to other network...very very very worst operator in india... I am sending screeshort also i want this offer otherwise am ready to upload this details in consumer forum

                    I have lost my sim card which i was using for 4 long years as i need to block the number and needed replacement sim card. I went to idea service center and i asked them to block the number. They were like "call from another idea number to customer care and block the number" and i asked them "then why are you here, when you people won't serve your customer?". After all this they asked my proof and all the details. Again they told me you have bought sim in another city so you go to that city and get it. And what the hell is this when both the city are in the same city. Still i didn't get the sim idea network is to worst in providing service.

                      Today i called to customer care to activate 199 plan, lady from calls we could not activate it, then i insist to transfer to call to senior officer. After one min the senior lady was very arrogant she hang down receiver without my permission,

                        Dear idea representative,

                        Stopped my sim before promised (31mar2018) date and with incorrect reason, support team not replying on previous complaint.

                        Due to this service from idea i am suffering from problems, lead for penalties, and not able to give exams.

                        I received wrong reasons to deactivate my service on prior complaint.

                        I am not in country and no other way to do banking, exam transactions, my all the otp coming on my number : [protected]

                            I paid rs249 for 2gb/day unlimited local and std, with 100 sms per day, however i only 1gb/day, but money is completely gone however i have got incorrect data pack. I need the correct one. So change the net pack and resolve the issue, also i need it done quickly, i don't want to lose all of my money, so please give the 2gb/day net. Money deducted from my bank account is 249, so i shouldn't need to pay more

                              I got a call from the number [protected]. The lady introduced herself as a member of idea legal cell.
                              She disrespectfully threatened me that she will permanently disconnect my idea mobile number.
                              There was no issue related to billing or anything else.
                              She said that someone else who has his bill pending had given this number as an alternate number. So she wanted me to pay the dues of that unknown person.

                                It is to inform you that i have received message about payment due.
                                I paid my all remaining bills in oct and requested in kharadi branch pune to terminate my number xxxxxx as i am not using that. They ensured me that it will be terminated and i will not get any bill. They did not terminated it and i got messages to pay 1022 rs. I contacted the kharadi branch again and they told me that they forget to raise the termination request and they raised it. For the remaining payment they ensured me that they will contact customer care for that. After that i got the legal notice on 9th march regarding bill payment and in this notice i was told to appear in shivaji nagar court pune on 22th april. I contacted the number provided in the message also idea customer care but no one giving me the proper answer.
                                1000 bugs is not a big amount for me but why should i pay for careless attitude and unprofessional behavior of their branch office. No one is ready to take the complain. #ideacares
                                I was owning two idea number and using corporate connections provided by tcs. I will inform tcs hr not to entertain idea connections for tcs employees. I will circulate this message to my network of friends to discontinue or not to use idea.

                                  Idea care exexutive told me wrong plan. She told me for 122 - postpaid plan - 20 gb data carry forword (4g), unlimited calls, 3000 sms. But she has given me different plan 399's plan. And when i talked to idea customer care exwcutive. He is totally refused me for any help.

                                  I have ported my mobile number from Airtel to Idea (One of the biggest mistake I have ever made) last month based on the discussion I had with their executive. During the conversation, they agreed for many things including the plan, special discounts and offers as well as 4G data. But when the actual porting has happened, they assigned it to a different plan which I have not agreed without any offers or discounts they offered.

                                    I have made a request for porting [upc - iy211366] my idea postpaid number ([protected]) to jio prepaid on 02-apr-2018, 07-apr-2018, & 11-apr-2018. But after few days from the port out request my number is not ported to jio. After that i had called to idea customer care and they are saying that your porting request has been canceled. They are not explaining any reason for cancellation. I had already cleared my all outstanding bills. Also i had made 10 days advance payment for this. So what is the reason for rejecting my port request.

                                    I had contacted idea customer care officer to know the reason. But they are saying that porting request has been retained by me.

                                    But how is this possible. I have not made any request for retaining my request.

                                    So how could idea reject my port request without my permission.

                                    There are 3 request made for porting. And all the 3 requests has been rejected by idea. And the reason is same that customer has retained their port request.

                                    Don't you feel that you are cheating with customer.

                                    I want the reason why my request has been rejected without my permission?

                                    I have recharged with Rs. 98 4G plan - 1GB

                                    After recharge, I am unable to get data and unable to surf internet.

                                      I got a call on[protected] fraud transaction in my debit card.
                                      saying that my debit card has expired and has to be change, then they send a Opt to my number, then they asked the debit card number and personal details. First I deined not to share my personal details then after some discussion I agreed to share my debit card no. Amount got deducted twice immediately after they cut the phone. I tried to call them but they switched off their phone.
                                      below are the fraud transaction on my debit card on[protected]

                                      1. ECO-IDEAMONEY MU - 4500
                                      2. ECO-IDEAMONEY MU - 500

                                      Please take several action against the people who did this and give back my amount asap

But when the actual porting has happened, they assigned it to a different plan which i have not agreed without any offers or discounts they offered. Also, now they are saying that they have stopped 3g service across karnataka.

                                        I have got the call from the number - [protected] and she introduced herself as anu, and idea employee. But i am not sure if she really an idea employee or an employee from any agency. They made literally wrong promises and cheated me with the help of idea executive who came to my office for collecting documents.

                                        I have called their customer care and all the things happened. Though they are agreeing with everything, they are not offering any solutions for the issues i am facing.

                                        I believe idea is trying to increase the customer base in unprofessional ways with wrong promises before the acquisition/merging with vodafone. Now i am in a helpless situation to wait 90+ days to go for any other providers. So i request the people not to choose idea mobile service, what ever the offers they offered.
