Dear Idea,

I am a 70 year old female who requires internet for occasional Skype calls to my daughter's.

On April 12th 2017 I changed my service from 3G to 4G at the aundh myidea store at pune. After changing the sim they told that my plan would change from 1gb 3g per month to 1gb/day 4G within a couple of hours. After receiving no service for an hour and then receiving 3g (as depicted by H+) for an hour...I saw that the phone was now showing 4g. Thinking my plan has been activated I started using the internet freely. After a couple of hours I checked my myidea app and saw that it was showing my old plan. I called your call centre who informed me that my plan has not yet changed and they helpfully changed the plan which became activated in an hour.

After using the service for a couple of days, my service was stopped due to exceeding my credit limit and I saw that I have been billed around Rs. 4500.00 for the couple of hours o[censored]sage during the transition from 3g to 4g. I went to tkhe myidea store at Law Collage Rd in Pune and one of the representative named Manoj rudely told us that I have been billed on a pro-rated basis o[censored]sing excess Internet on my 3G plan. I then went to your office at Sharda Center and they were kindly able to restart my service for 8 days after which it was again barred.

I am willing to pay for the data I have used but you have charged me a pro-rated amount assuming my use of internet on that particular day. That is preposterous.

I had also written to your Appellate and received a response saying that they can take care of the excess charges only after the bill is generated. But I am stuck with a phone barred from making calls.

If your team is not able to help me in this situation and wipe out these prohibitive charges imposed on me, I would like to return to my old 3g plan where I would wait out a month to pay the normal charge o[censored]sing the internet.

I have been a satisfied customer of idea and would hate to leave your network. I hope you can resolve this problem and reactivate my service ASAP.

    Bought an Idea Sim. Was advised to call on 59059 for tele-verification. Unable to call as the outgoing service is not activated. How on earth then call the service provider. Dont have any alternate number.
    Wrong decision of opting idea...really pathetic people, service and the company.

        Hi Reader,

        With lots of pain im writing this to tell that idea has poor internet service in Bengaluru - ITPL to Marathahalli Regions. Im residing here since 2 years. I never ever got a good speed of 4G internet- I raised several complaints and reached your helpdesk. No one responded properly. instead several times the reply was very rude.
        I strongly say NO! to people - So far Vodafone and Airtel and Latest JIO serves better Internet service than you guys... !

        A BIG NO TO IDEA INTERNET- in Karnataka.

        Fed up asking you guys. Using IDEA only for making calls. A serious NO to people who are looking for connections with good internet. Buy JIO or vodafone in these regions.

            I paid 1055 of bill amount on december 7th 2016, on the basis of instructions of legal advisor of idea cellular and i paid on the condition of cancelling of the post paid network. Legal adviser agreed to cancel the connection also. There after i did not use the same network. But the company is asking me to pay due amount which i did not use the network and any facilities. They are torturing me through police officials. I request you a kind assistance in this regard.

              I antony mathai is a very disappointed user of idea cellular service with post paid sim number [protected]. I paid my bill amount of 3200 /- for the month of january and february 2017 using bank check. But even after receiving payment idea cellular company officials fully barred my sim without any prior notice. I had already requested them not to bar my sim and intimated about the bill payment including receipt number. Sudden barring of the sim caused numerous inconveniences for me and my family including official works. On enquiring the reply given on the part of idea cellular services was not convincing. Also they closed my complaint id c1-[protected] without rectifying the problem or without properly solving the issue after discussing the issue. Infact they fooled me by providing misleading information's. Hope in future nobody is fooled by idea cellular service by their fraudulent services.

                I am Ajay Kumar singh from Gorakhpur UP. Long ago i was user of IDEA phone for netuse only, even still iam using another IDEA connection for calling. I have been stopped using my the idea number [protected]. IDEA have been stopped all services thru no. [protected]. But i have been paid my all dues to IDEA for using this no. as long as i used. But idea staff was calling me to pay more. i was puzzled so as per discussion with an IDEA employee who called me by her no, [protected] from lucknow office i was agree to pay Rs. 1000/- altho i was not using this number since few months. so as per conversation i paid Rs.1000/- dated[protected]
                transection ID. FS[protected] kiosk ID. 14 from location Gorakhpur location Mangalam Tower.
                After that i received only one more call regarding this issue, but i told them that i have been made this payment with reference of payment details. After that i never received even a single call about this issue.
                But i was surprised when i got a call from ICMS Pvt. Ltd. on[protected] by phone no. [protected]. Altho she didnot talk about IDEA's dues but on net when i searched about ICMS Pvt Ltd. i seen many complaints against ICMS Pvt. Ltd. regarding Idea cellular customer care. I never made any transaction with any company on credit base so i have no dues for anyone. But while searching about this ICMS pvt ltd i seen many about idea issue with this company so i guess about my little disputes with IDEA cellular.
                Please help me to stop anyone to do not disturb me anymore about such nonsense issue. I am still user of an other IDEA number and i am satisfied with his service for calling. but i was unsatisfied with its internet service so i stopped that number.

                    I would like to draw your attention regarding my concern; I am ROMA GUPTA using Idea postpaid number (99XXXXX133) from last 1 year. Yesterday I visited IDEA OUTLET (ACME SALES AND SERVICES) IN CHATTARPUR, NEW DELHI for converting my number postpaid to prepaid and the behaviour of the store person was not proper. The person named (abhishek) told me to go to greater kailash idea store for this purpose as he didn’t have right to look into this matter. He said that he got the mail in the morning[protected] from his manager, not to provide postpaid To prepaid Services to customers. Infact. he took the documents from other customers in the morning for providing this service but suddenly he stopped this service.
                    If the customer have prepaid no. then everybody is ready to take a step for converting prepaid to postpaid but why not now?
                    Sir/Madam, I just wanted to ask-
                    Is this kind of Customer service Idea supposed to give its customer? This is one of the worst customer service in India that I ever faced. Still my number has not been changed to prepaid neither the customer care department nor so called Idea showroom executives ready to help me.
                    Nobody is there to listen to the customer's problems.

                    I wish that message should spread to all the customers throughout India and especially the CEO of Idea Cellular Ltd. so that some action might be taken to set the things right in this highly competitive environment.

                    I am going to take every action on net & will ensure that the message reaches to the concerned & responsible managers of the company.

                    I Am Really Disappointed With The Behaviour Of Your Store.

                      As per my apr 17 idea bill, its shows a charge of rs.2000/- as prorated overage charges. When we called the call centre they informed that they dont have details about that and immediately my number bared from outgoing calls and after 10 days incoming call also. Today i received the bill and its show the same as prorated overage charges. I m using this mobile number since last five years and not yet changed the number even i transferred from my native with an intention that idea will be good in karantaka. Would like to know how this charge is coming to me. Till i convince or reverse this i will not pay for this bill

                        I had a Airtel number [protected] . Which I was requested to get this port in idea as there are good postpaid plan.
                        Later on i it was activated by idea executive without my consent. Televerification was done by idea executive by inputing his alternate number. I was provided the fake sim by idea executive. I was told misleading plan by him.
                        Now my number has been deactivated by idea without my consent.
                        Kindly activate the number.

                          Sir i am using idea postpaid plan which chargrs 145 per month.in feb i went to rajasthan for 6 days and when the bill got generated for the month of feb in march they charged me 1800 rs.in bill there was a number 057777 on which 1270 rs was charged. This is nt a nmbr which anybody will call or attend for 180 mins. And on that they added the service tax an many taxes and the bill ultimately amounts to 2667 till this date. Please suggest me way to resolve the issue through this way because they are telling me to pay the bill.

                              I have submitted an international roaming service activation on 24th April 2017 and made a payment of Rs. 3000 against the deposit for the service. I was told that the service would be activated within 2 business hours but even after 24 hours the service is not activated and upon calling the customer care they keep on saying that it would be activated within 1 hour.

                              Moreover if I ask them to cancel the request and refund the deposit, they say they cannot send the money to bank but will be adjusted in outstanding bill amount.

                                I have done 495 recharge offer provided by the company. But in that offer they gave local+std free calls and 105gb for 70 days. But now they are saying 3000 mins to other networks only. Yester day they have registered a complaint about it but now they are saying that they cancel my request

                                  I had requested termination of services because my Idea mifi did not work for a long time. You can check the usage. I was billed, and while talks were going about the bill everyday, a lady from the legal team asked me to pay half the amount, and that she will send me a closure request, which I did despite not using your services. Now another rude woman called me and told me that she will slap charges against me. I have the call recording of your lady asking me to pay half the bill, and also agreeing that I might have been charged incorrectly. Do not lie and put me through this hassle.

                                    On my Idea mobile no [protected] i was using 1599 rental plan due to lot of issue with idea team regarding billing i get port my no on 2-April-2017.

                                    Today morning i got my bill form 23-March-2017 to 2-April-2017 generated of RS 24924.16.

                                    Now please tell me.

                                    1- How can any one charge of RS 20600 for Usages and VAS?
                                    2- 2nd time its happen last time it was charged RS 568 which i get reduce from the bill after many more discussion from customer care.
                                    3- Since i get my no port in Airtel and i have paid last month bill of RS 1971.

                                    Now please reply why such thing happen with customer.

                                    I m ready to pay the outstanding but it should be correct not like you all can charge any thing.

                                    I have used 1599 rental plan if any thing need to be charge then it should be around my rental plan not like this.

                                    What is this today i received a call from one person who called me and said i m talking from IDEA Advocate.
                                    Idea have submit a file regarding non submission of bill.

                                    Do you think by this way you all can take any fraud bill.

                                    I already said if you will check and tell me correct amount of bill payment i will pay otherwise do what ever you all want to do...

                                      Hi sir,

                                      I am shubham pathak from indore. I have a mobile number that was of airtel but before 2 months i have port it as idea before 7 days i got a call from idea that my 140 rs payment of airtel is due. So i paid this payment at[protected], but now services of my mobile number is temporary on hold when i called at idea customer care than they said me that send email with airtel receipt. I have emailed 2 times receipt but still, my number is not in working condition. When now i called at care center they said me that u have to submit that receipt at idea office. So what is this. There are so many problems because of my numbers services are on hold. So please give attention towards this.

                                        Have been receiving calls from last one year and today have received a letter stating the matter as my sister who is not staying on the address neither have ever taken a number nor has any knowledge about the same is as per idea used their services worth 1200 approx. We have not received any bills as well for the same.
                                        Went to an idea store for help they denied me from help and said you have to pay. Which i wont pay at any cost as we have not taken the connection nor have used it. It would be advisable for them to stop harassing us as they would not get anything from us.
