I had a number for Idea in pune which was active till June 2011, 5 years ago and had deactivated and cleared all dues. It has since been reallocated by Idea to someone else.
I have received the below email from [protected]@idea.adityabirla.com. When I call the numbers given, they are answered by some advocate/recovery agency hired by Idea who has no information of this account number, the phone number associated, or the bill.
On top of that the advocate wants the money to be paid into some other number on idea's payment - and the email confirmation to personal email id!
So I have no clue if this is real or a scam, if there are any valid dues, and how I should pay them. Have tried to contact the and[protected] numbers also but they transfer to postpaid in Mumbai who claim to have no information of Maharashtra postpaid and the [protected] maharashtra number transfers to maharashtra prepaid because the idea number is now a prepaid one!
