This is to inform you that on 17 Jan '16, a third party VAS namely " mydala deals" services were activated on my postpaid idea no [protected] without any request of subscription from my side.
It is further added that Idea customer care was approached for resolution of this incident but they declined to register any complaint stating that, ' This is a third party service not a VAS of Idea Cellular'.
As a complainant, I'd like to address the following:-
(a) The pop up advertisement of mydala deal sevices is corrupted since when one cancels the ad, it takes input as a "YES" to subscription which is what happened to myself as well.
(b) Also, for any third party service, one pays directly to the party not the cellular service provider. But it happened so when "mydala deals" subscription was unfairly taken and amount of Rs 75/- charged in the bill of Idea Cellular.
(c) Thus, one as a layman, cannot rule out some kind of collaboration/ arrangement/agreement between "mydala" and "Idea Cellular" for subscription and payment.
(d) For stoping/ unsubscribing the same service(mydala deals), Idea Cellular has in place a proper system of deactivation whereas Idea Cellular completely denies any role in activation of the same stating that it is a third party service.
(e) My question is if Idea Cellular is not accountable for the activation of mydala deals services, then why should subscription amount be deducted from idea account. Isn't it both ways or no way??
(f) Also, complaints and harassment of same nature are quite in numbers, floating on different forums over internet.
It is hereby submitted that following resolution be provided:-
(a) this undesirable, unsubscribed service be stopped.
(b) subscription amount be refunded.
(c) the whole procedure be checked and regularized so that in future, other consumers don't face such harassment.
(d) compensation in terms of money as deemed fit by the authority.
