Greetings.
This is with respect to my mobile no. [protected]. I have a post paid connection and have a credit limit of Rs. 12, 500/-.
Currently I travelled to europe and activated international roaming as a standby as I took matrix for basic requirement there. Now I am billed with an undue excessive billing by
Idea Cellular, much beyond my credit limit itself. When I checked, the charges were related to few MBs(appx. 15-25 MBs) which
Idea Cellular showed as usage during international roaming.
When I further checked, I was billed a total amount of more than Rs. 16, 000 for current billing cycle and another Rs. 12, 000/- and above was showing as unbilled usage, taking my total charges for few MBs so said usage to more than Rs. 28, 000/- rs.
My contentions
1. While all the usage there was no warning given that data is being used. no sms or email had come, when I was on international roaming. In fact I was using matrix SIMs all the time and the quantity of MBs also clearly indicate that I have never browsed the data as such.
2. When my credit limit is itself, Rs. 12, 500/- how can I be billed for such excessive amount of Rs. 28, 000/- and beyond and that too without warning or concurrence.
The false logic is being given below from appellate authority that update/information was not available during international roaming. The same is false, since bill was raised in between this period(13th June), which clearly shows that
Idea Cellular had all the information and intentionally escalated the charges further and further without sending the warning or stopping it.
I have been a long time customer of Idea.
Idea Cellular calls me as privilege customer or so. However, this unfairness has happened. Request for help for this unfair charges and request for reversal of billed and unbilled data charges at the earliest.
