Recently I have migrated my mobile number from prepaid to postpaid. After migration i was unable to use the GPRS serrings on my handset. when contacted customer care they first said that you need to install gprs settings as the sim provided was new and then i was provided with GPRS settings. I was asked to wait for 48 hours as per the idea standard process.
But even after 48 hours, I was unable to connect to GPRS, when again I contacted customer care they were unable to locate the problem and my call was ATLEAST TRANSFERRED TO 6 -7 members of customer care, where u had to explain my problem to each and every one from the begining. my patience was tested to the core by these guys, these guys even dont know to speak in english and was speaking in totally buttler english.
After 45 mins of my call i was told that my number still has GPRS settings activated on the prepaid sim and hence i was unable to connect the the GPRS on the migrated postpaid sim. I was asked to call the CUSTOMER CARE OF prepaid dept and request them to cancell the services on the prepaid sim, as untill that happens i cannot use GPRS services on the migrate postpaid sim.
I called up pre-paid dept made them under stand the whole story, where indeed i was MADE TO UNDERSTAND MY PROBLEM TO atleast 4 -5 tele calling executive, I dont know why they did so, but they every executive after listening to the whole problem transferred my call to the some other new tele caller.
After a long struggle, prepaid dept understood my problem and asked me to wait for 48 hours to let the services get deactivated on the prepaid sim.
I waited for 48 long hours, but the query was still not completed. Postpaid dept simply said that the services are still active on the prepaid sim and cannot activate the settings. Post paid dept again asked me to call the prepaid customer care.. and the worst thing was the prepaid and the post paid dept were not communicating internally, i was like a postman between prepaid & postpaid customer care executives.
My patience was tested to the core and i couldnt continue to bare any more patience... so i begged and requested the customer care to cancell the GPRS SETTINGS ON BOTH PREPAID AND THE POST PAID SIM as this would be end of all the conversations.
WHICH INDEED THIS REQUEST WAS TAKEN IMMEDIATELY BY THE CUSTOMER CARE.. and they deactivated my GPRS settings completed with in hours(1 - 2 hours)

After 15 days, i was forced to call back the customer care to activate the settings back, as i use this number for business pupose and need the gprs all the day.
where at the customer care one MR.GUNDLA MAHESH answered my call on 14.04.2013 at 15.29 hours and said that the services would be activated by 12.00 hours on 15.04.2013.
But as expected even on 15.04.2013 the services were not activated and i was forced to make call to customer care.. where one Ms.Kameshwari Usha answered my call at 17.29 hours on 15.04.2013 and simply said that the services are not activated and the suprising part was that... she didnt know the reason why... I requested here to transfer my call to senior executive where after 15 mins on hold.. my call was still not answered.
even this lady was unable to speak properly in english and hindi.
I again called up where one MR.KRANTI KUMAR answered my call and as expected even this guy was unable to communicate properly and kept my call on hold for 24 mins..
but no one answered.

now finally i have the following questions to IDEA.

will IDEA BE ABLE TO ACTIVATE GPRS SETTINGS ON MY NUMBER.
WHY IS IDEA HIRING IN EFFICIENT PEOPLE WHO ARE SPOILING IMAGE OF IDEA AND MAKING CUSTOMERS ANGRY.
WHY DID THE GUYS AT THE CUSTOMER CARE WHERE NOT SPEAKING INTERNALLY BETWEEN POSTPAID AND PREPAID DEPT TO SOLVE MY ISSUE.
WHY WAS I MADE TO DO SO.
WHY WAS I MADE TO WAIT FOR THIS LONG DAYS.

I need answer from idea or i shall go for MNP.
my company also holds about 18 CUG connections of IDEA and I will also MNP all the numbers at the earliest.

Idea — Limited call connection to customer care executives

You guys have made a limit for calling to customer care :-):-). And if your gprs softwares have some problem then better see to that there will be no more problems regarding that :-):-) if you are not confident about that better increase the limit or the best thing is you people can follow the spice people where they used to had unlimited number of times for calling customer care :-):-):-). So i think that you will oblige my request :-):-):-)

Idea cellular customer care — Not able contact customer care executive

Many time I want to contact costomer care.but most of time call was disconnected and iam not able to customer care.

    In my idea sim card unwanted hellotune service is activated automatically and my 21rs balance was deducted on 14.04.2013. i asked the customercare(198) why do you activated that service i dont needed that service. than they tolled, you have given the request and i activated that service. but i do not given that request. so please sir return back my money. and dont activate any unwanted services

    Idea Service — Activation

    1) I have not activated Masti pack then too i received a message of activation.

    2) From Gallery i have deactivated the service for pay per channel then too i received message of "Your subscription to Pay per channel 1 has been renewed.

    I have haryana idea connection of no. [protected], right now i am in roaming I send a request for activation of dialer tone and sms the song code as shown on idea website but idea deduct my balance but song is not activated for 2 days again I sms the same but the 15 Rs deducted but song is not activated only default idea DT is activated and After one week I got sms that your request for daily combo pack is processed and 2 rs. per day will be deducted but i never send any request for the same also when i try to communicate with customer care then only IVRS give some instructions and do not transfer my call to customer care and always deduct my balance. I have faced the same problem earlier also.
    and at last i want to say Idea is grabbing my earnings.

    I am holding idea mobile prepaid recently without my request some CH99 magazine is activated. Rs 3 is being deducted. Myself even don't know what is this service. I don't want this service. . NO USE EVEN deactivation is requested. So please deactivate it Otherwise I will be compelled to choose another cellular service company's SIM with great pain of loosing this SIM(number) my balance also gets deducted if i cal for complaint and while the bell is ringing, i.e even before the exec picks the call i have got fed up by idea connection and will never recommend any of my friend for this connection and also i will change my connection if this continues.

    This is big fraud service from this network. I have not subscibed for this srervice still they use to cut Rs.3 after every 3 days.

    On July 25th 2011, I purchased a prepaid sim card from IDEA CELLULAR at Sangeetha Mobiles store, Ramamurthy Nagar, Bangalore. First two days Its worked fine. So I recharged for Rs.222 that time. Third day they have been blocked incoming calls and outgoing calls.

    I've given the valid proofs ( voter id, Pan card copy) and my photos at the time purchase. And I've submitted proofs and photos once again , when they forced to submit one week later.

    I've given the complaints many time in their customer care by emails and phone call.

    Still now they didn't take any action to my complaint. Almost daily I am walking to their store where I purchased, and inquired about it.
    There was a small mistake. Purchased Date was 5th JULY 2011. They didn't activate it more than 23 days.

    this is Mangal Prakash Gupta and i am fed from the un wanted deduction of balance in the name of value added services which i'd never activated. this is not the first time i logged complaint many more time but the condition is same. today when i called on 198 for the compliant of deduction of balance for number +91-[protected] in the name of Mangal Prakash Gupta to the customer care one of the executive connected his name was arvind shrivastava his response was very bad and tease me by laughing and making fun of me.

    My balance was deducted without any intimation ,when i had already activated 3 days internet pack On 31.03.2012.
    Very next day Rs. 40 is been deducted & again i recharged of Rs 50 that also has been deducted from my account.
    I have not downloaded any thing through net. Request you to look into this matter & credit the amount & On 1st april i have recharged 1 month internet pack even that also not activated & yesterday once again i recharrged talktime balance of Rs 50 that also got deducted. I am not gettng proper responce from customer care, thier telling me to cal after one hour & it has been repeated many times.I felt very bad about idea Telecom.

    I am customer of Idea from past 5 years, I had an offer for the simcard of 100 messages per day, and use to get lot of calls and messages from idea customer care for their promotional activities. Today when i was messaging i noticed that my 20 rs is being deducted from my account,i called up customer care service and spoke to Mr sathish where he said to me that my offer validity was over last month itself, i asked him that that you people do lot messages and calls why cant you send a message stating that the offer was over,then he was saying directly that 'WE WONT SENT ITS NOT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY WE HAVE TO CHECK IT SEEMS'.sir this sim was taken 5 years back and is it not their responsibility to inform the customer that the validity is over...then i asked him to connect me to his Senior person then he was not even bothered to do that saying an excuse like the manager is busy itseems , then i got angry and he just cut my call .please do the needful .

      i am using idea sim manipal offer since 8yrs without changing the plan. but since one week they without information thier charging what ever they migrated price.... i dont know that price.... but eraliear idea to idea 10 paisa and other 40 paisa. but now since one one week without pree notice their charging more call charges. so iam asking what is main aim for adithya group company ? cheating the customers or cheating TRAI.or govt

        Idea Cellular — unauthorized balance deduction

        i k madhavi rao had gt a recharge of rs 150 and due to some technical fault a gprs service was activated charging rs 20 on daily basis and was activated on november 28, i called the customer care on december 5 and they agreed to refund my balance of rs 140 and deactivate the service.I waited till thursday but there was no refund, i again called on december 10 to enquire and they refused to refund my balance.

          Reason for internet pack but i have not applied for that. as soon as i recharged Rs. 250 Amount after 1 hour they have cutted the amount of Rs.26.

          They are cheating people .

          i have called to customer care [protected] on 13.04.2013 he told that the data base will update in 2hrs after that call me i will register complaint or in the morning of 14.04.2013 , then in the morning of 14.06.2013 i called customer care now he is telling you have recharged thats why it is cutted then i told i want to raise the complaint and after that he is telling that we cant raise the complaint you have to call some number 12345.


          i think so customer has no work other than calling.
          this idea is not having clear communication with the customer.

          i want my money back as soon as possible.

          Idea — Amount Deducted

          Dear Sir,

          I have been using IDEA`s services since long time. But my complaint is, on 16th Sept 2010 , I had recharged my account with 99 Rs GPRS. in spite o[censored]nder benefit of services my balance had started deducting from 26th of Sept. I have launched the compliant on 29th of Sept. but there was no proper action being taken by Idea. after that I had again recharged my account with 99 Rs (same gprs pack) on 3rd of Oct but still the balance is continuously deducting while using GPRS . I had again called them to take my complaint but problem remains the same.
          Sir, technically in that pack . where I suppose to get limitation of 2GB per month and 70MB per day . As we all know technically that there is 1000KB in 1MB usage. and the most I daily check whether my free service is started or not. so while checking I just open GOOGLE site in my inbuilt browser, Sir, the page of google only takes few KBs (5 KB to 7 KB) . still my balance is reducing from my account.
          Sir, again I am not here to write complaint against one one. My objective is to solve the problem what I am facing badly.

            An Idea mobile tower is installed in our neighbourhood (address-441 A, Talwandi, Kota-324005, Rajasthan). Since installation of this tower (some 5 years ago), a sharp increase in cancer cases have been noticed in our neighbourhood. The tower is located in the center of huge residential colony.

            According to experts, being exposed to a mobile tower located within 50-metres is like being in a microwave oven for 24 hours and carries huge cancer risk.

            I would like to know 1) whether the said cellphone tower has been installed legally 2) If yes, may I request for copy of documents viz: Application for permission for Mobile Tower, Agreement with the owner of house where tower has being installed, Permission of the Municipal Authorities, Terms and Conditions of the permission, Law, Rules and Regulation under which permission is given

            Since 4 to 3 yrs ago mobile tower company installing 2 mobile tower in our colony, whose distance from is 5-10 meter. Sir, I think that the installing of mobile tower in any colony is not fare, because its case some problems such that brain tumer etc. We notice that in our Garden cultivation of flowers is not growing. Some of our colony person give no objection certificate for this tower lastly 1(one more tower is going to negosiet) to setup in same colony.Sir is any Provision for stop this tower installing.

            Please assist.
            You seem to have a very limited knowledge on this subject. Cell towers do not cause cancer. The radiofrequency fields (RF) from Cell Towers or antennas are mild and weak and so do not cause much damage to the DNA. I haven't come across a strong proven scientific study which says that cell towers cause harm to the public health (refer to this article: http://www.itwire.com/science-news/health/56646-no-health-risks-from-mobile-phon... Please educate yourself on the same, rather than panicking or exaggerating the matters!

            It's a good step by the Indian government to protect consumers, but it doesn't mean that cell tower radiation is dangerous.

              From last more than 1 month i am tryint to Activate DND on my idea number through idea portal. The request is submitted always and i always get the serial number through SMS and email with message that your request is submitted and will be processed in max 8 working days, but after some time on same day or sometime after some days, i always get another email and message saying that due to technical constraints we are not able to process your request.

              I submitted the DND 9 times from March 6 to Apil 10 and always the same response is there. I am listing all the Serial number of the complaints:

                I am using cell no +[protected] of IDEA Cellular Prepaid since long period.

                On dated 8th April 2013 I called my friend +[protected] at South Sudan with the use of loud speaker facility. I listen that the ring is going on but my friend was unable to pick the phone and I disconnected the call. After disconnecting the call my balance was reduce with 45 INR. I called customer care and they replied that we will get your current details after one hour of timing and after that we will take the complaint.



                On dated 10th April 2013 the same thing happened to me and again my 45 INR reduce without talking to my friend.



                I called customer care and Mr. Alpesh Rawal picked up the phone I explain every thing to him but he replied that as per our system you have talk with your friend and your balance is reduced due to that. So we can not accept your complaint.

                After that Alpesh transfer the call to his superior Mr. Dipak Prajapati, I spoken to him and described everything to him. But same as Alpesh he will not accepting my complaint and I asked one question to Mr. Dipak Prajapti

                Question: - If I called ISD and if nobody will pick the phone then the balance will reduce?

                Answer: yes as per Mr. Dipak Prajapati



                After that Mr. Dipak Prajapati Transfer the call to Mr. Hiren Parmar. And same as above thing I explain to him. But same as he also replied the same as last 2 person replied from the customer care.



                As of above case I need the help from TRAI that:

                1. How can they reduce the balance if both the party is not connected

                2. And if any customer is want to log a complaint how can they denied







                Dear Sir,



                As this is not fight about the 90 INR. But it is stated that if customer is facing the problem with the service provider they are not accepting the complaint of customer. And they are always right and customer is wrong.



                As I am using another postpaid of the IDEA CELLULAR and paying 1200 INR per month and as per my long usage of the facility I am asking the justice from the IDEA and they are replying with this way this is not right way of customer service.



                So, kindly help me out from this and guide me what to do and how to do.

I got a call from idea they explain the offer (Allianz Management Solutions Pvt Ltd. and the address is R G House ,Below MTNL Sanchar Haat ,Karam Pura Commercial Complex New Delhi-110015.Mobile: [protected], [protected]) she said to me i have offer plan for your no.the plan is post paid plan plan is only Rs 149/- with 450min/400 sms or 20 p idea to idea /or 30 p other no. they explain the offer that I applied for idea postpaid connection i will get but i have to pay 100 Rs as security. I paid it .After 15 days i received a call that they are unable to provide same offer that the explained on call so i have to get another plan.
                      after that i call customer care 198 toll free
                      they given me a complaint no.SR No.C1-[protected] .
                      I regret the offer and request them to change my offered plan.

                      Problem is that they are not change my offer postpaid plan and saying sorry this offer is not for your no. if this plan is not for my no. then why they call me again and again offered me that plan. why without my permission they activate other plan?

                          Hi,

                          I recharged my Idea Cellular pre-paid number [protected] twice for Rs500/ each time on 5th Oct thru internet, amount has been claimed both the times by Idea but the recharge has been done only once to my number. Have complained in Ideacellular several times but they have not got proper response from their side, neither have got the refund. The details of the recharge are as below -
                          1. Payment done thru ICICI website from ICICI credit card worth Rs500/-. Confirmed from the bank that the amount has been claimed by Idea and the transaction number for it is 113545.
                          2. Payment done thru Idea website from HSBC credit card worth Rs500/-. The transaction ID for this is 001901 and merchant has been given the amount on 6th Oct 2010.

                          Please help me in getting Rs500/- back from Idea Cellular Ltd at earliest.

                            Idea Telecommunications — Excess Bill Fault in Billing system

                            To: Whomsoever It May Concern

                            I am an Idea Net Setter user my phone number is [protected] i have
                            been using your service since like 1 month initially when i got my first bill it was for Rs 106 wherein in my first bill the credit limit
                            given was Rs 1000 later on when was the credit limit increased? I was
                            never notified for this earlier during my course o[censored]se.
                            The next thing i want to bring to your notice is my bill dated
                            23/05/2011 as given on my email is for about Rs12,000 approx i haven't
                            used so much of internet i am sure there are some problems in
                            billing system so i would please like to check you over this and
                            revert back as soon as possible. if you could respond me back on [protected] as early
                            as possible i wouldn't do it.
                            Also 3G plans for various other services have unlimited usage packages
                            i think you should have come up with an unlimited package i would have
                            had always opted for the unlimited usage plan the plan which i have
                            been using was 600rs rental with 1 GB free usage.
                            I cannot pay a sum of Rs 12,000 for internet usage for just 10-15 days
                            is this what your billing system says? i seriously fail to understand
                            what Idea as a network manager works on.

                            I look forward for a serious action on this this was probably one of
                            the most poor experience regarding any service in my whole lifetime.

                                  I am using phone no. [protected], after making repeated complaints on your Customer Care Center also dropping mail to you regarding extra charges (Rs 758) imposed for GPRS 3G in my last bill.

                                  I got a call from idea, that idea is giving you one month (unlimited GPRS-950 plan) for free for trial basis. The person insisted that its free of cost for one month, still I refused but as he insisted more I said ok if you are providing the service free for a month then I am ready to take it but now when I got the bill, idea charged me Rs 758 for GPRS 3G which makes no sense.

                                  This is not for the first time Idea is doing this to me. Earlier in the month of November as well the same extra charges were imposed which they waived off after big time fight. I just don't understand why Idea is troubling their customers so much? I am ready to pay the bill which is genuine. If your unlimited GPRS plan is not getting sell, is this is the new way you people have found out to sell your plans? I must say it really doesn't makes sense. I called several times to Customer Care Center to get this extra money waived off, but till now I have got no resolution to my query.

                                  If you have the recording, kindly listen to it and I would also like to hear the same. I again would like to highlight that I said yes for the plan but only because the Idea person who called me said its FREE for one month.

                                  Kindly look into the matter and stop giving trouble to the customers unnecessary.

In my case i have got a SMS saying till 14th March 18:00 hrs, my GPRS usage consumption is 495 MB for my 512 MB plan. Billing cycle is 15th of every month, Means i have another 17MB to be consumed for free as per my plan in remaining 6 hrs.
                                      The charges they put me on my bill is 346 amount. After my 1st level of Complaint and 10 days of analysis, they came back to me with a response saying 199.89 amount would be refunded.

                                      My complaint is on what basis they have calculated the refund amount because as per my calculations, Itemized bill, and the SMS I have received i shouldn't be charged a single penny.

                                      When I replied to their email, they adamantly replied saying this is the amount you will get without answering my question as what basis they have calculated the amount.

                                        I have idea mobile prepaid sim service since last Four years.

                                        They are diducting balance in unauthorised internet use charges.

                                        i complaint one time and pay for thier service and pay regular charges.

                                        when my service is over, again next time then deed same and without explaining my satisfactory details. They excuse me, So i filed complain here.

                                        i also told them to give text message for their charges in details in inbox. (i should pay for their service as i expained them and give complain to team leader)

                                        Idea Cellular — Irresponsibility by the Company

                                        I have a IDEA connection in Delhi circle bearing no [protected] in the name of Chanderpal Singh.It is a post paid connection.for some certain reason I want to convert it to prepaid.I have already clear all the dues and given Rs 47/- in advance in terms of fees.I have all the receipts of clearing dues.The problem is that I had applied for this on 18.09.09.Since 7 days hasbeen left,there is no action taken against it, though the time limit is 24 hour.I had complained several times in IDEA Care and had few visit to the retail counter.I am in very deeply mental tension for this cause.Please file a case against the Company and give me the right justification.

                                        Sub: Reconnect my Mobile Connection

                                        Respected sir,

                                        I have a mobile connection of Idea, my mobile number is [protected] and the validity of my mobile connection is September 2010. Now I am working in Abu Dhabi, UAE and I had received many SMS till Yesterday. Today, 08/02/2010 I cant received any call or SMS from anybody. One message appears on the screen that was "SIM card registration is failed". I contact your Customer Care Agent and he told me that my mobile number is deleted in your records.
                                        Here, before reach my expiry date you banned my connection. This is illegal and unjustified. So I humbly request you to please take necessary action against this serious issue and reconnect my mobile connection earlier as possible. Please contact me through email i[censored] can. I hope you take this email as an official complaint from my side.
