I have purchased IDEA company postpaid sim from company person on April 28, 2013. They told it will be activated within two days. But it has not been activated till now. Whenever I call to Idea customer care to ask this, they will tell it is pre paid center. They are not giving proper information to me.That person collected Rs 230 from me for sim and for its activation charge. Though we call them through landline it will go to pre paid center. Still Iam not able to speak with post paid center . I contacted them through mails. Now IDEA company people are not giving proper clarification for my query despite repeated complaints.


1. How can some people were allowed to call customers in the name of IDEA and now vanish with all my documents? they visit the houses, collects documents and money. Now what is the guarantee that they will not mis use those documents and photo? WHO WILL GIVE ANSWER TO US????

    I Have A Idea No. [protected].
    I Have Some Strange Problems Some Last 3 Days I Think Its Network Fault Then I Ignored.
    But Today Morning I Have Seen Emergency Mode In My Handset Then I Changed The Handset. And I Start The Mobile Then Mobile Network Are Perfect Showing In Handset.
    But I M Dialing My Number In Other Number Then Company Voice Said (NOT REACHABLE) And I M Dialing A Number In Threw Of My Idea Number Then My Mobile Handset Showing ERROR.
    I Don't Know What Is This ERROR
    Company Didn't Response On My Call Or Other Complains,
    Please Help Me
    Today Is The Most Important Day Of My Life

    Idea Cellular Delhi — My amount is deducted from my account but my mobile is not recharge but when I contacted Customer Care then no response

    i'm aslam from alappuzha,kerala.i'm working with icici prudential (unit manager)
    ,and i'm a vodafone customer, my number is [protected]. Thing is, from the day before yesterday two of your customer is calling me and telling such bad things to me and my family.they were calling very hard bad words to my parents,this is the numbers, [protected],
    [protected],that i had complaint with.i dont know why they doing like this, they were calling again and again, even if it was on night..so i'm expecting agood relation with the company(idea),and if my problem is not solved,i'll,i need to choose another way to solve the problem,which it will affect the good will of your company. so please kindly help me..

    poor network condition — poor network condition in main city delhi

    Im aircel connection holder since last 6 month. I complaint against poor network
    condition in main city delhi. if this problem is in delhi then how we can expect it better
    in other city. I also notice that many time sim show roaming codition.

    Sir , FriDay i recharged 150 full talktime and 26 Rs.(GPRS 500mb for 15 days).
    Then i did some surfing. after sometime i saw that my account balance became 0.


    Now today i was trying to idea customer care on 198(with Avinash). He didnot gave me any answer
    regarding deduction and disconnected the call.

    Again if i try to connect it says yopu have used maximum so you cannot call today.

    Please solve my problem.

    i have submitted complaint against my refund so many time from the last 4 to 5 days and i called them so many time every time they said sir aaj ho jaye ga ya it will be done in 24 hours but yet the problem is unresolved , i have all the complaint number and i want to take serious action against them .

      I MADE AN ONLINE PAYMENT OF RS 98 TOWARDS IDEA ONLINE RECHARGE, through my PNB debit card on[protected] at 22:24:01 and the money was debited but the transaction was unsuccessful and a message was displayed as "Sorry! We are unable to process your transaction. Please contact us at [protected]@billdesk.com for any queries". Kindly do the required.

        I have a Idea 3G device.It has been giving very slow speed.Forget about 3g It does not even give 2g speed.I recharged it on 4th May hoping it would get faster but the condition is still same.Calling the customer care executive is also of no use.I feel cheated and very disappointed with Idea 3g service in Delhi.

          I never activated Pretones on my Idea mobile number and they had deducted Rs.10/- from my account and after some days they had sent me a renewal message again and deducted Rs.10/- further.What the hell is wrong with IDEA ?? I have been using this network service provider since dont know 2005 i guess and they get such attacks seldom and i always complain and get it refunded but what if its left unnoticed by me ?? They would have renewed it on and on but i dont know why the hell they cant activate a useful service like Missed call notification mistakenly for free ?? Why only services like Pre tones, Caller tones and charged ??

          Have got a complaint registered and was given a complaint number : [protected] which will be resolved till 13/05/13 (till those days i have to keep in check whether there are any more unnecessary useless deductions.)

          Seriously Pathetic attitude by Idea walking on the likes of Airtel and Docomo.

          Idea — unwanted service massage

          Idea — Wrong deduction from account

          I am a research scolar in MNIT Jaipur and availing the IDEA prepaid connection. My mobile no. is [protected]. I recharged @ 15 days back for Rs 310. Today my balance is very less and I did not make many calls. I have contacted to customer care, they imform me that I have been subscribed some service for which they deducted amount. But I have not opted for such a rubbish service. It is automatically being activated by IDEA and deducting balance for the same. This is totaly the theft.Without my concent , how can they charg? I want my deducted balance back otherwise i have to approch Consumer Court.

          Such a rubbish way of stealing amount...I am really felt ashamed to live in such a crooked world....

          What do you mean by initiated ?? The "Senior" guy calls up and says this Pretones was activated on 29th of this month by ME and the deducted amount cannot be refunded !!! Am I some Villager who dont know how to use a F'kin Mobile and I am using Idea past 7-8 years. How can he be so sure of the Faulty system of Idea which had deducted many times accidentally from my mobile balance and got it refunded back !!

          NEITHER HAVE I ACTIVATED ANY OF THESE STUPID SERVICES AND NOR AM I SOME LAYMAN IN USING THIS SIMPLE PHONE SYSTEM !!!

            I was previously using a corporate sim of vodafone which i was satisfied with but as i moved up in haryana and thus went for a new postpaid connection of yours number [protected] as idea's network in haryana is better than any other.


            My plan is super saver 350 in which (as told by the people at the outlet) you will get Rs 375 for calls free & call rates would be 20p Idea to idea and 40p other at local area and for std its 50 p, along with that Rs 98 rental gprs 2g pack is activated in which 20000mb or 2 gb data is free.


            Now, As per the bill recieved by me the total calls in the bill are worth Rs 104 which should be free under the 350 plan and gprs usage is 2190 mb in which the 2gb should be excluded and rest 190 should be charged.also my credit limit is Rs 1000 so the bill should not exceed that.


            but the bill is showing a good amount of 19550, idea has to pay a debt of 400 crores for 3g but like this?


            I dont know why aditya birla group is doing like this, anyways but I have filed a case in rohtak consumer court regarding this and now I am not going to pay a single penny to you but going to recieve.from the day i bought the sim iam facing problems, firstly everyday the number gets barred.

            this is first month's bill.

              On 8 may 2013 I called customer care executive at 16:27 and asked for full talktime recharges available on my no . They told there is one recharge available i.e of Rs 119 .Then i asked is there any ifs and buts. he said that 119 will be added in main balance .

              But when i recharged with 119 .what i got was a full balance that has to consumed in 10 days and that too can't be clubbed up with any call rate reducing schemes.

              What i want is either full payment back or tranferring of 119 rs in main balance.

              Idea Prepaid — very poor service

              I have got prepaid mobile connection of idea from Spencer Mall.Gurgaon on dated[protected] .With submission of all documents, my connection was through.I got no.[protected]. I enjoyed the service one month. On dated[protected] my outing service is discontinued by company saying that I have not submitted the documents. If i had not submitted any document, how can they give me mob. no.and connection for one month?               installed and in operation. At my village road direction is EAST- WEST there fore tower may be set in that way . Due to present setting consumers those who are residing South side just 2 KM from toer ( like Me ) are not getting contineous good connectivity.and I am not able to use Internet, therefore you are requested to look into the matter and arrange to inhance/ readjest the settings as may be required.

                Dear Sir,

                Suddenly a message appeared to my mobile that "Your Mega Pack has been activated. Amount charged is Rs.30.0/- for 1Month.Renewal charge is Rs. [protected]@1 Month as applicable. To deactivate sms UNSUB hov30 to 54300" and Rs. 30/- was deducted from my balance I dont know what is mega pack and I never made any request for activation of such type of services.So i tried to deactivate on 6-May -13 and the same sms was once again received on 7-May-13 and was deducted Rs.30 again.And i also received another sms from IZ-ideaCMS twice about downloading Game Special from Handygo and was charged 10 Rs in total without any request from my part Idea company automatically activated the services to eat the balance of the customer.

                So, It is requested to kindly deactivate the service like Mega Pack and Game Specials and kindly refund the amount.

                  This has refer to my Post paod no. [protected] which has been with Idea for over 2 yrs now.
                  Idea has barred the services to the said no. from April 24th 2013 on account of non payment of the bill.
                  This is when i had cleared the latest bill fo Rs 530/- and had only withheld the disputed bill wherein even Idea had acknowledged to wrong billing against Roaming charges from Feb 1st- Feb 16th
                  My services stand barred depsite the bills under investigation and scrutiny
                  I dont know where to raise this complaint. I have all details on the mail and when i threatened them that i will move to another service provider they immediately barred the incoming call service as well.
                  This no. has been with me for over 12 yrs now and is my identity. Idea is shamelessly not arriving at a resolution despite having written endless mails to CC and also to Appellate

Now I am working in Abu Dhabi, UAE and I had received many SMS till Yesterday. Today, 08/02/2010 I cant received any call or SMS from anybody. One message appears on the screen that was "SIM card registration is failed". I contact your Customer Care Agent and he told me that my mobile number is deleted in your records.
                  Here, before reach my expiry date you banned my connection. This is illegal and unjustified. So I humbly request you to please take necessary action against this serious issue and reconnect my mobile connection earlier as possible. Please contact me through email i[censored] can.                     I TODAY CHECKED, THE BILL WAS 25000, THIS WAS DUE TO GPRS

                    I VERIFED IT WITH LOCAL IDEA PERSON,

                    AS I M USING THIS IN TAB, I HAVE TOLD TO CONVERT THIS IN 3G UNLIMITED PLAN

                    BUT THIS WAS NOT CONVERTED, I found yhat it was in 2g(1mb) plan only

So, the value would be 600 Mb, but when I check the Balance it is showing 300Mb only, the same Question when I asked to Customer Care representative they are giving irresponsible answers and saying that the balance is renewed.                       Sir, I wish to bring to your esteem notice that i have idea 3g netsetter and i am quite happy with the service rendered to me. today when i was surfing the 3g balance was 270mb and i taught it being a last day i will recharge it online with 253/- for 1gb and i did the same.                           Idea — Unnecessary Deduction

                          I was having balance in my mobile of Rs 24 on sturday night but next morning balanace was Rs. 2. I called up the customer care center but I do not get satisfactory answer.

                          Idea — Unnecessary balance deductions

                          Its disgusting to know that Idea Celluar deducts balance even when the phone doesn't support GPRS. I use a LG set that costs nearly 1200 bucks and doesn't have any GPRS facility. I had a word with the service centre in Navrangpura and the answer I got was something disgusting. They said the balance has been deducted because I used GPRS overnight, I explained that the handset I use doesn't support GPRS but still the same answer.

                          Disgusting, rubbish services won't recommend anyone to go for Idea.

                          Idea — unnecessary deductions

                          I keep on getting sms from service numbers after every recharge of my pre paid A/C I called the Idea Cellular Customer Care twice. Also, Rs 5 and Rs 3 are being deducted from my prepaid balance for some contest which I never subscribed. This is highly unethical. I HOPE THE T.R.A.I. DOES SOMETHING ABOUT THIS.
                          AN IDEA CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE !!! :P

                          Hi,

                          My idea number is +91 [protected] ... I have deactivated music49 service on my account in the month of December. regarding this i had called your complaint number 198. I had a talk with Sonali and found her not at all cooperative. The technical support you have does not even know about the problems. I had sent a message to deactivate this service in the month of December only. I got a conformation message too that this service has been deactivated.
                          But a few days back i got a messages " congrats you have renewed for Music49 pack for just Rs 49 for 30 days. I have been constantly trying to report this problem at 198.

                          But the people there are not at all cooperative especially " Saurav and Shivank ". They when addressed with our problems misbehave with customer and often hung the phone up or disconnect.

                          What is this if a customer has deactivated a service why is it then that u on your own act smart and activate that service on his cell phone,just because you have rights to do any things with customer account .

                          The customer service offered by u guys are very poor.

                          Please Try to support and satisfied you customer by your service by his wish not forcefully.
                          I[censored] want to retain your customers try this by providing quality if service not forcefully.

                          If any action is not taken to my problem then I will be forced to switch to some better service providers and would also advice my friends to switch connections.

                          Cust services is really pethetic, they place on hold for 20-30 mins and then disconnect call without even giving solution.

                          Request the authorites to takecare of Customer services (i have names of advisor who had disconnect my calls) or they will simply loose customers and also request to deactivte these Wapservice and make sure these charges are not deducted anymore.

                          They are just activating the subscription after the call from Idea. I am loosing day 5 rupees unnecessarily. Same thing with my friend. I have called on 198 to stop and refund but they advised to send unsubscribe SMS when I have send SMS no effect. Then I activated DND for all. On my 4-5 call to IDEA 198 they stop to deduct. I think they have developed auto generated system to start subscription on just received of IDEA call. 011...

When I spoke to the customer care they told me that you have requested the service but I have not used the service also not satisfied with your senior executives. Why the company charges the customer with unnecessary deduction. Just for the no reason the customer is suffering a lot of problems with the services of idea group following are details of my unnecessary deduction:
                          (1) Your IMS has been activated. Amount charged is Rs32 for 27days. Renewal charge is [protected]@1month as applicable msg from 54300 on 21 May at 7.19.07 pm.
                          (2) Your IMS has been activated. Amount charged is Rs30 for 1Month. Renewal charge is [protected]@1month as applicable msg from 54300 on 14 May at 7.19.07 pm.

                          (3) Your IMS has been activated. Amount charged is Rs32 for 27days. Renewal charge is [protected]@1month as applicable msg from 54300 on 21 May at 7.19.07 pm.
                          (4) Dear Customer, your concern for VAS is resolved. The Complain no is SR-1-[protected] but nothing is resolved yet.

                          Therefore, I request you to refund Rs62 to credit the main account of the customer otherwise we will compile to put this issue to the consumer court because the money matters a lot the customer how long the customer suffers and waiting for prompt action and hope the matters resolve the problem and better the service of idea group.

                            Dear Team,

                            I choose to Port In my Vodafone Mobile No. to Idea. I submitted my documents to one of your agent Mr. Saleem (Contact No: [protected]) dated 22 April and same day I sent Porting Request to Vodafone and gets Unique Porting Code as VD423599 and same has been received by Vodafone on 27 Apr and approved on 01 May 2013.

                            On 01 May, around 11:00 PM my services has been stopped by Vodafone without any prior intimation.
                            On 02 May, around 12:00 Noon, Idea SIM card provided by Mr. Saleem, came into Idea Network and after contacted to Idea CC, I learnt to call on 59059 to activate my no.

                            Since then I am keep calling CC & 59058 and getting reply that my activation is in Pending state getting false commitment from Idea Cellular regarding activation of my no.

                            Moreover Mr. Saleem is not picking my call and numbers provided by Saleem are either on not avaible i.e. [protected] or disconnected after one to two bells i.e. [protected].

                            Since last three day my no. is not working though I visited Idea My World, Calling document picker & Company and CC, no-one is able is resolve this issue.

                            As this is my only no. so I am able to contact any of my family persons and my office properly which is also effecting my performance and I am suffering through mental harassment.

                            Please help me let the people know to not opt idea.

                            Idea Cellular — Service not started

                            While I was travelling I received a message for resubmitting my ID proof. I could not react on time & the service was suspended. Thereafter on reaching my home I did resubmit proof, however even after 48 hrs service has not restarted. I am not able to speak to a customer service person. Even the website does not have the helpline number.

                            I had subscribed for mobile connection from Idea Cellular, with mobile number being[protected], i had opted for 2 year advance rental plan and paid the rent at the time of buying the connection itself, while doing so I had given copy of my passport as my id proof for every thing address signature name etc. Unfortunately they keyed in wrong address on to their system and my address verification was negative, now they are asking me to deposit another 250/- to get the number activated. I have full correspondence with them if needed be I can send it across to you. Writing to all their departments did not evoke any positive response

                            This is a third time where in my request had been declined by Idea while porting a services to airtel. without any proper reason and forcing me to take this action to write a complaint here.

                            There customer associate now talking very rude and even their manager disconnect Phone.

                            Ref:[protected] was confirmed by TL and as per his confirmation he assured that this will be resolved in next 4 hrs, when i called them again about 7 hrs later TL called Vijay Kumar talk to me and he was very rude and also not created a reference number and says he will not going to do that

                              I am using Idea postpaid connection (mob. no. [protected]) from last 1.5 years and now I am facing problem of billing this month from 27-apr-13 onwards.
                              Idea stop my outgoing service and GPRS uses from 27-apr-13 onwards, as they shows that my unbilled amount exceed my credit limit of Rs1300/-, but I have not used that limit as I am very well know that 27-apr-13 onwards i am in Delhi and not calling so much and my GPRS uses upto 03-may-13 is only 99 MB as per daily uses alert massage from Idea against my GRPS 2G plan of Rs.98 in which GPRS uses limit is 2GB.
                              I have called so many times to Idea care and on 198 complaining center but they are not helping me to shot out this problem, they only saying due to server down problem we are unable to process your query but pay the unbilled amount, only after that Idea will activate your outgoing calls and GPRS service, but without details o[censored]nbilled amount how can I pay Rs. 1500/- as it is not a small amount for me.

                              Please give me the detail solution of this problem, so that I will check the detail o[censored]nbilled amount and activate my outgoing call and GPRS service.

                                    I had applied for a new sim card yesterday[protected] at 17.50pm at Mandeep tower idea cellular outlet office, Balasamudram Hanamkonda office the staff are not cooperative very busy unable to mingle or convey the formalities to be done for process and the office in charge lady is in very uneasy mood with customers and the photo copy of ID proof given to her by me or others customers she says photo image of ID IS NOT BRIGHT ENOUGH INFORT OF ME SOME 2 LADIES and my self id-proof even after photo image is visible she had rejected and only after few xerox copies were brought she at last had taken application for New SIM Card only after i had signed on ID Proof with proof Certificate.

                                    I am IDEA CUSTOMER FROM NEARLY 13 YEARS AND MY all ID DETAILS are with IDEA CELLULAR and more over I AM POST PAID CUSTOMER and pay my bill though net banking for a SIMPLE thing were others and ur company gives FREE SIMS and offers so much hassles for a REGULAR customer and MORE OVER MY SIM IS nor ACTIVATED till now what should i do WERE IN THE IDEA FRANCHISEE AT MANDEEP TOWER NAKKALAGUTTA BALASAMUDRAM HANAMKONDA SAID IT WOULD TAKE ONLY 4 HORS IS THIS WHAT U ARE INTERESTED in for ur esteemed custamers.

                                      I am using this IDEA 3G net setter from Jan 2013 and the mobile number is [protected]. I have activated 3G services on it. I was not getting 3G speed instead i am getting 2G speed. When i called to the customer care they said that IDEA was ordered to stop 3G services. IDEA is not even caring to inform/intimate to the customers that 3G is no more going to be available to the customers, and charging 3G charges monthly.As i called the customer care i came to know about this. What about the other customers?
                                      The same thing happened with my mobile [protected], For the month of april i didn't get 3G services but still they charged me with 3G costs.IDEA is cheating customers in the name of 3G . They have to inform to the customers that 3G wont be available on their network and should charge only 2G charges even if 3G is enabled as they are not providing 3G Services. Please save the other customers from this.

                                      idea cellular service — Cheating by charging non asked for service

                                      Hi,

                                      I am using IDEA cellular service for a long time now. This week I observed that Rs 5 per day are automatically deducted from my pre-paid account. Went to IDEA care center. They checked up their system and told me that some LOVE pack was activated on my number and hence the deduction for Rs 5 day was happening. I told them that I did not asked for this pack nor did I said "yes I subscribe to this pack". The lady answered OK, the pack will be discontinued.

                                      Then I asked "What about the deduction already happened for about 10 days". The answer was call 4444 (not a toll free number) and tell them about the deduction and they will reverse the charge.

                                      My complaint is: The company is fradulantly enabling the packs which I did not ask for. Keeps on making money if the customer does not notice it. Then they make you go through long process and paid call to reverse the charges. This is cheating.

                                      This has happened couple of times before also. I have heard similar complaints from other people. There were letters in Daily Sakal Pune making similar complaints.

                                      I appeal to other people who have faced similar problem to make lot of noise about it. Perhaps should unite and burn IDEA sim cads in front of IDEA care center in the presence of press and TV.

                                      I am an IDEA user. I didnt subscribe any services from IDEA but i am receiving regular messages from 51936 for which my balance gets deducted everyday and when i called customer care they were unable to tell me the mode of activation and said we will refund the amount charged, which is not yet received....
                                      without customer permission idea activates the services for which customer has to suffer a lot....

                                      Idea Cellular — Cheating service from Idea Cellular

                                      I am Linto Joseph , having idea maharashtra range postpaid connection
                                      no:[protected]. I have taken this service on 18/12/2010 . After the 4
                                      days of the connection approval, you have barred my connection with
                                      out any information . When I called to customer care, I have received
                                      the information stating that , My verification has not done ,so they
                                      denied my service. After one day I have given the verification and my
                                      number has been activated suceessfully. The same feedback I got
                                      through message and idea customer care too. But unfortunately again my
                                      number has been suspended on Dec 31st 2010 night around 9 o clock. I
                                      had any option to call idea customer care becuase i am very new in
                                      Pune and My number was completely out of coverage, more over all idea
                                      show rooms were closed during these days. I faced a lot of diffulty
                                      during this new year day and finally I met one guy on road
                                      ,fortunately he had Idea connection.

                                      I called to 12345 idea customer care and spoke with Mr. Ajay Sontkk
                                      regarding my issue and I got information from hime stating my number
                                      got suspended due to negative verification, which had done positively
                                      at first time. And he called to back end team and my number has
                                      acitivated on Jan 2nd 2011 evening 6 clock.
                                      Also
                                      I got the feed back frm Ajay that it was positive verification and
                                      the deactivation was mistake. Due to this unnecessary deactivation
                                      and I had around RS 50000 loss. Kindly requesting you to do the
                                      necessary action before I go to any legal activity.

                                      I have mailed the same issue many times to Idea officail mail Id : [protected]@idea.adityabirla.com many times . Even I have visited idea Nigdi customer care office many times regarding this issue. They are not even taken care my issue. Finally I have planned to change postpaid to Prepaid connection As per their instruction it has to take only 4 days , but they have taken 8 days to do it . More over for 2 days they barred my postpaid and prepaid connection with out any reason . The same time I have gone to out of station and I faced lot of problems during these days .

                                      Finally my additional paid amout not even transferd to prepaid account after 6 days the request given. Also Rs 300 rs online recharge in Idea website amount not credited in account after 24 hour .

                                      I am very much unhappy with their services and mentally and business related issues made me Rs3,00000 loss because of Idea irresponsibility . Kindly requesting your notice on this issue.

                                        This cell no. is my postpaid connection in Rajasthan circle which I had ported from vodafone in Dec, 2012. At the time of taking this postpaid connection, I had given all the relevant documents to your agent Mr. Naresh at Jodhpur. After verification of address by your verifier, the services were initiated. Originally I had opted for plan 249. I had changed my plan from 249 to RJ199ghoomar on 30th March,2013. Again at the time of change of plan, I had given documents as address proof. The services on my cell no. mentioned above have been blocked w.e.f. 24th April, 2013 evening without any notice to me in any manner. On enquiry from customer care executive, I came to know that services have been blocked because of verification of documents and address as the bills sent by you are not being delivered. This is highly objectionable since all the bills generated by you have been paid by me always well in time and till today there is nothing outstanding against me. Instead there is a minus balance of Rs.75 or so. How it is possible that all the bills have been paid well within time without receiving them? Moreover, before blocking services, they should have brought it to my notice that because of address verification, we shall be blocking services. I feel that there is either no coordination between agents and customer care staff is quite negligent.

                                        Kindly help me in this matter urgently.
