Idea Cellular Complaints & Reviews

Hello,

This is a complaint on Idea cellular. I've submitted all the address proof documents to one of the Idea stores present at Dhole Patil Road office, Opp Reliance fresh, Pune around 1.5 months back and till date they didn't change my address. I personally went there to reminded them but no use. For the same issue, I've raised a complaint on Idea site (Communication id:[protected] and Idea executive called me and told that the issue would be addressed in 2 days. But it didn't. I've been using the Idea mobile number in pune for the past 5 years without any problem. I know this is the problem with the Idea stores present at the Dhole Patil Road. Please be careful if you are dealing any issue with this Idea store.

On the 29th of December 2011 I wrote to Idea Cellular, then on 30th December 2011 I wrote to Vodafone, Airtel & Uninor: all I wanted to ask them is I want a specific number for myself (its not a fancy number or premium number). For these operators, I wanted my last five digits as "78778" and I wanted to see which of these I-am-the-best claiming mobile service operators respond with a positive note.

Its 6th January 2012. All I received from Airtel, Vodafone & Idea Cellular is automated response, Uninor doesn't even have that system in place.

So you see? Its not a critical problem or something that don't wish to resolve, still, none of these reputed mobile operators ever responded to my request. What is happening to India? For a very simple request, do I need some VIP/VVIP recommendation otherwise I won't get any response from the highly paid executives of these companies?

I am living in qatar and i come india once in a year only.
last i came from india is 2011-september.my number disconnected now..when i asked when will sim card disconnect if no use is der,yew people said 180 days at september 2011. now my sim card disconected.when i called custmer care..i am hearing.. sim card will discconct in 90 days if no use according to new rule..something...

I dont know or idea did not sent me sms or thing about it.. when changing validity of expiry from 180 days to 90 days. you must have been notice. otherwise how will i come to know when i am in qatar ?

This is my official number..So i need it..PLEASE return MY NUMBER ....
Please Next time onwards i will take care of 90 days..this is only because you people did not notice me..suddenly changed rules..PLEASE UNDERSTAND ME AND RETURN MY NUMBER ...PLEASE !!

This is the last mail which I am sending you in this matter & i don’t want to be treated like this by your organization inspire of your very old customer & my problem is that i am using this idea no ( [protected]) from past 4 years & i have taken this no only for GPRS Usage & i am very much satisfied in past 4 years with your GPRS services but from last 27th/nov/11 i am facing lots of problem in your GPRS services & i have also made calls several times on 198 at your complaint helpline but they have not registered my complaint in this matter. I am using 5 Rs Auto Renewable daily rental pack on this same above mentioned number from past 4 years but from last 27th/nov/11 plan is not working & on 28th/nov/11 i have called at your customer care for the same reason and have said due to some technical fault your plan get deacivated from our end & they suggest me to register complaint on 198 for the same after that i have made call on 198 but they said no to register my complaint in this matter. My main concern only is that i want my previous plan which I am using from past 4 years on same above mentioned number. Kindly take some appropriate steps in this matter as soon as possible. In case no resolution will be provided by you in this matter i will go to TELECOM REGULATORY AUTHORITY OF INDIA (TRAI) for appropriate measures.

i m frausted now its since 23rd dec my idea no[protected] is deactivated due some idea technical issue.
and this is my business no, getting tonns of calls every day and i dont know how much loss i had beared due to this idea fool people just frusted listning the word wait for another morning...................................................................ND THE MESSAGE BEING THE IDEA NO U R CALLING IS NOT IN SERVICE......IDEA KA NO SEVA MAIN ANHI HAI what is my impect on my business customer and my business dealer that i m so frustrated due to this idea fool people

the problem was that my no was ported from reliance to idea from past 7 month and i was using it in pre paid...
i got a call from idea office that my no has been selected as a silver no and they will provide me some best post paid plan so i agreed...
when i had given my documents and processed for pre paid to post paid my no got deactivated automatically
for this i had complaint to customer care but they are saying they do not have any knowledge about it go to nearest idea point. my no is not showing on there depatment and i have to visit nearest idea point we r not able to look out on this issue



i went to nearest idea point they told me to go to head office i.e. at indra prasth tower indore.
when i visited to nearest idea point they took 5 days just telling me every day within 4 hour within 12 hour, next day in between i visited indraprasth office too...and the manager of jawahar marg office just talkin nonsence telling me my phone problem and he got engaged in his stupid nonsence chat with some other person and just trying to ignore me......i told him i have bought new phone and i just tried my sim in 3 different phone....when at last i asked what r u doing against my complaint he told me go to indraprast tower we r not abel to solve ur issue we r franchaisee only

when i visited to indraprasth tower they told me to go to nodel desk
same here the person on this office done the same and wasted my another 2 days


when i went to nodal desk...
when i went to nodal department on 31st of december tthen i talked to mr bijo the nodel officer he told me my no has some technical issue and he had forwarded complaint mail to pune technical team and took my alternate no and told me on monday morning it will be activated and told me because it was saturday i m taking time otherwise it wolud have been sorted within two hour said mr bijo on 31 dec evening 4 pm. and now i do not have to worry and my problem will be solved
but on monday
i called again and again line was busy and when it got connected they were not givig phone to mr bijo
i called again and again and alternatively they just keep fooling me mr bijo is not here the other officer are not co operating and just always telling me to wait wait n wait every time i called they say mr bijo is not on desk he is on lunch or he is not in office he is out for ur work only n keep telling me that he is sorting ur issue
i wannna know if he is sorting my issue then why he is not coming on my phone
just told me on evening to wait for another morninng
but story begains agains....same thing they were telling mr bijo is not on desk call after some time just fooled me in different way i was unable to stop my anger on them y mr bijo is coming on phone what they told me to call him on his mobile and cut phone
when i asked his mobile no he told me that he is not having it and he will not provide it to me

this whole process has just given me loss of ......................... so much rupees and my mental frustration and mental harassment i cant bear it just tell me what should i do or where should i go for this issue
i have to file a charge of rs 10,00,000 case against idea cellular co for this whole process

hello my name is vikram bhansali (mob no.[protected]) . idea astrology daily has been activated on my phone without my consent. from 3 weeks idea has been deducting Rs.2 daily from my balance. on sending the message UNSUBASTO2 to idea no.55456 ,it instead of deactivating the service it cuts extra Rs.3 from my account for sending the message. daily i get the message that dear subscriber you have not set your sunsign,please do it. i have never till now have set my sunsign but still it cuts rs.2 daily. dont know for what?.
please deactivate this astrology daily service from my phone and return back my money .

Its really ridiculous to hear that you called on my cell number and i didn't response you, IT HAPPENED BECAUSE STILL SERVICE NOT RESUMED ON MY MOBILE, STILL ITS SEARCHING FOR IDEA TOWER.............AND DRAINING MY BATTERY...........

NOW I'M GOING TO LOOSE MY PRECIOUS HANDSET BECAUSE OF REPEATED CHARGING SINCE MY MOBILE IS STIIIIIIIILLLLLLLL SEARCHING FOR IDEA TOWER......

Last call done from this number is 5th Dec 2011 .....and today is 4th Jan 2012 .....its almost one month .....and still....my cell number is not working ........

Please go through my 7 yrs record , have i ever missed payment of bill ? or how many times i carried forward a bill amount ? You wont find a single instance...I bet .

Isn't loyalty of a customer is nothing to you people and your company?

Instead of providing some extra facilities/offers to old and loyal customer you people barring service?

You sent me following questionnaire, don't you think its duty of your marketing dept or public relation dept to make such kind of survey ...and collect information. What kind of market knowledge and awareness you people have ??

None at present .......usually 1 or 2 ...

To make picture more clear please find the call analysis report download from Idea website ,please cross check if you people have doubt.

ALL calls below pulse 1 are discontinued call , you can find the same number redialed and if coverage is not there .......i used my other cell to contact people....

I'm tired of IDEA services .........I'm sorry to say but idea service is pathetic, deplorable and worst .

Hello there,



I'm, Pranav Shende residing in Pune ; customer of idea for last 7 yrs or more and having a post paid connection, i ve various complaints about Idea services,some of them are follows.



For past 25 days my connection is discontinued because of 200 INR outstanding that was also by fault , actually bill for Nov 2011 was 1333 INR i paid by internet banking 1034INR , for short of Rs 300 they barred my service without intimation.



After paying outstanding amount plus current bill that is Rs 1170 in dec ,Still SERVICE is NOT RESUMED ,after more than 25 days,



My issue is that if you can bar the service for me-agree outstanding amount of 200 INR , then what the purpose of credit limit 1700 INR which you show to custome , you people have our deposit with you, then why are you barring service .?????????



Again my concern is that if outstanding payment made immediately then why you are not resuming services as early as possible.While barring service you dnt take that much time ?

You must intimate the customer before discontinuing service .....



It causes huge losses to customer, when such thing happens suddenly .....WHO WILL COMPENSATE THOSE LOSSES.



Some other complaints are as follows ......



1) There is no coverage in Aundh, Sanghvi Pimpri, pune Unive , area in Pune ; call get broke after every 5 seconds.

2) No proper guidance from the call center guys.

3) They cant solve the query on real time .

4) My Idea people are pathetic in response and service .



I want to file a legal suite for the same .I need compensation for the losses occurred.

I am having the problem of idea netsetter 3G (E1732) getting frequently disconnected and the speed is also very less (1-10KBPS). I have complaint with my complaint number is SR 1-[protected]. There is so much fluctuation in the network. some time no signal bar is coming. I am living near karkardooma, Delhi . I have also compalined to Mr. Gajendra ([protected]) from Idea delhi circle but to no effect. I have tried to reach idea customer care through [protected] and after connecting and going through various selection in the voice menu..it says.."sorry, the number is not correct". it deduct my balance also from My MTNL phone. Idea is a big cheater. they do not have working customer care and they are fooling people.i have written in many other forms and will write in many other sites about bad idea...My netsetter is in name if vivek agarwal and the number is [protected]..if any one is listening...please help..IDEA People

These IDEA people were though not giving proper network services in IIT- kharagpur, i tolerated hat since i have given my number in my resume, now these people had stared deducting my prepaid balance without my usage of their services. on date 4-01-12 at 1400 hrs my balance was Rs. 112, without making any further calls it became Rs. 8, in next 10 min. Kindly look into the matter.

I have already paid my bills of Idea postpaid connection( [protected]) but still they are regularly calling all my contacts and friends and telling them that I havnt paid my bills . This is very embarassing . Now I have bought another no. and stopped using their services but they keep calling all my contacts and tell them that I havnt paid my bills .But I have paid all my bills . I want these unwanted calls going to all my contacts to be immediately stopped .

Hi Everyone,

Here, I want to bring your attention to the cheapest, unreliable service provided by Idea.

First of all I want to mention that DND is activated on my number. Anyways, I received a push message on 14th d ecember 2012 indicating some activation in my account which charges Rs.5 per day. I informed the idea customer care through email on the same day.
They relied with a mail to provide them with few information before they proceed. I sent them with the exact information.
But after that I got no reply. Due to busy schedule of work I never noticed the balance deduction in my account.
But today I confirmed that my balance is being deducted at a rate of Rs.5 per day. I called to the Idea customer care today and confirmed that I am being charged with same amount since 23rd of last month. The customer care executive suggested that the balance has been deducted as I have downloaded few contents. Where as since couple of months I am not using the data service of idea.

By the way I was assured that the problem will be solved within 24 hours with a complain no. 1-[protected] against my idea number [protected].
Now, I received a sms alert indicating that the problem could not be resolved.

I would suggest anyone using idea in Orissa circle to stay alert of such crap.
I am going to drag this crap idea cellular to consumer court.

Stay away from such frauds.

Hi, I am vinay shah from Vadodara and I am costumer of Idea and my Mobil No.:- [protected].
As per DOT rules. I submitted my ID card and residential Proof on Idea Outlet at Gajanan Communication, Dandiya Bazar,Vadodara (Gujarat) on about before two / three month. After that once again I submitted my ID card (PAN ) and residential Proof ( Telephone Bill ) on Idea Outlet Gajanan Communication, Dandiya Bazar,Vadodara (Gujarat) on Date:- 11 / 11 / 2011 and form No.:[protected].
After that call from Idea authority and satisfy for my document. After that last few day 30/12/2011, 31/12/2011, 02/01/2012 SMS from IG-612345 Idea that “ aapna jama Karavel Prepaid Docs DOT niyam anusar amanya thayel che. Aapna documents turant najik na idea outlet par fari jama karavi services no laabh melvo.idea”.
So please solve my complain about mental harassment from Idea company.

Today(30-Dec-2011) I have received a message from IDEA (Your subscription to Astrology Daily is activated @ Rs 2 for 1 Days.To deact SMS UNSUB AST02 to 55456) and 2 Rs got Deducted from the balance. This service got activated even though I have not requested. To stop further balance deduction I have send "UNSUB AST02 to 55456" and for that also I have got charged for 3 RS ,

Please do needful and return deducted amount back to account

What is the official cost of mobile number porting? As far as I know, it is Rs. 19 officially and some operators may charge a few bucks extra. But how much extra can an operator charge? Is there any ceiling price? Can anyone throw some light on this issue?

The reason for asking: yesterday I submitted an application for porting in my number to Idea Cellular's My Idea Hub at New Alipore Kolkata (its mentioned in ideacellular.com website) and they charged me Rs. 56 for this. Is this normal?

From last one year I am using IDEA connection for Mobile connection,my Mobile No. is [protected]. Yesterday(27/12/2011) on my request GPRS services had been activated. Today(28/12/2011) i have purchased Rs.98 Internet pack and after purchasing the pack, I have received SMS from(51985) Company that my Internet pack have been activated. After receiving the SMS I have use Internet for 1hour. or 1.5 hour and then after I have found that my main balance(Talk Time) of Rs.135.60 become Zero, even after purchasing Internet pack. I have complained at customer care for twice with their representative Vijay and Manisha, but they have replied that main balance can not be re-fund. Even I have requested them to give me my complaint reference number but they replied me they will not give the reference number.

Please help me to get back my main balance of Rs. 135.60.

Myself Nidhi Mohan , 19 A, M Block Sarita Vihar New Delhi 76 , bought Idea !d 280 , Huawei phone with 3G internet connection of Idea , free 3GB for 3 Months scheme.

However , since the connection on 9th only for three days I got 3G connection.

For past 5 days , no Internet , no 3G Connection despite complaints here and to their Customer Service.

I urge nobody buy these product with scheme from Idea. No Service and No Customer Support . Absolutely unreliable service from Idea.

I was told to be received Internet Benefits of Rs. 3500 and after 48 hrs still I am deprived of that. What should I do now. Shall I take a legal action against your company.
I had Tata docomo before this and I have ported my no. to Idea and I am very sorry why did I port my no.

Customer care is not helpful at all. They didn't send me Internet settings yet. How can I use Idea TV without APN settings. They are telling me to call on 55079 or something which I did and my phone said this facility is not available in this phone.

Hi,
I am having Idea pre paid number [protected]. From last 3 months the service of caller tune is activated by just picking a call.I had call several times customer care to deactivate this service/I also send SMS /Called on 56789 to deact this service
But it didn't work.I have wasted almost 100 rs for this unwanted service.

Now from last month I have stopped recharging it.The best thing would be to take another sim from another provider.
IDEA people just take a idea from common people:: Do not activate any unwanted service without the confirmation.

Bye Bye IDEA..I will not be using your services any more and will not recommend also.
