Deduction of Rs 5/-per day without my consent
dear sir ,
1. I have already initiated a complaint against my idea cellular customer care and services vide Idea SR No1-[protected],1-[protected] & 1-[protected].
2. To futher add to the complaints i would like to fwd in breif the incidences which took place.
3. On 09 Oct 11 I realised that idea cellular is deducting Rs 5/-per day from my prepaid connection in the name of some downloading of hungama.com content whereas i never used any internet/Gprs service of idea.. So immediately i contacted their customer care no 198.any reasons.
4. When i requested that my calls to be transfered to the senior executives Mr Sujito,Mr gyan and Mr Alakh. But the conversation was fruitless.Then to add to my sorrows idea tried to deactivate my downloading of hungama.com content . Also they informed me that i have deactivated package for which idea is deducting daily Rs.5 from my account. This too was without my concern and knowledge. Though all of there executive promised to refund the amount which is deducted but so far no repayment is made and services activated is not stopped also.When I asked to view my Downloading timing for Sep & Oct 11,i was refused to get my asked details.
6. Here idea is fighting for more freq band without caring for the problems of present customers. Why these people may be grandted such prevailages when they have forgotten their basic customers.

Idea — Deduction of rs 11

Idea has deducted rs11 from my prepaid number a/c [protected] without any reason.Customer care executives are unable to tell how it happened.I request most humbly to pay attention on this issue.

Regarding deduction of Rs 5/-per day for match update
It is for your information and action that You have deducted 5/-per day from my balance as service of Idea match update without my permission. You are requested to immediately return the amount and credit my balance. As it has been seen that mobile service provider are doing this type of illegal...

    Sub: Unsatisfoctory and irresponsible service of Idea cellular

    sir,
    From my account a sum of Rs.35 was deducted. The sum may be small but a reglect on your part should not be overlook, Ignored and condoned.
    On7th october i made a complaint[protected] but no action was taken. The next day my remainder met the same tate.I was therefore forced to follow it up by complaint no [protected] followed again on 10th. My telephonic talk at about 6PM to two/three persons was futile and none could give me a positive assurance
    Sorry to say, I am not happy to put these facts on writting, but the negligence on your part is painful, expecullyto a 76-year old person.A good check up of the call register will prove the genuience of my grievance. The duration of the talk at 6pm on 10th october will show you how callous the response was and surely it showed an unbecoming trend of your servicw.
    My only prayer is that such occurance should not happen to other customers who may not have the time nor the knowledge to defect these anomalies or losses

      My self Rajni Arya i am using idea postpaid connection my number is [protected] ....i am already paid my last month bill (15th August to 15 September ) 2011 amount 382.86 rupees and it's transaction ID is 9689701 ...today idea people stop my outgoing call ...idea customer care many time told to me they update my bill amount in my account but after some time they stop my outgoing service ........

      My self Vinod Kumar Malik, I am using idea postpaid connection Mobile No [protected] ...i have already paid my last month bill (01 Oct. to 31 Oct 2011)of Rupees 400 /- reference transaction ID is PB[protected] on 14.Nov.2011 at Sec 35 Branch Chandigarh. ...Today idea people stop my outgoing call ... I have already updated to idea customer care team that I have submit the bill but due to unavailability of bill, I coluld not be able to clarify the details . On availability of receipt it is found that the instead of adjusting amount against cell No. [protected] your customer care person has adjusted the dues against cell No [protected].

      You are requested to kindly rectify the mistake and resume the service at earliest.

        Hai,

        My number is [protected] and I have recharged it for 598 (2GB) on 09th October evening and after two nights of Skype video calling use it shows no balance.

        Same time I have recharged this on 3rd Oct for 197 (500MB) and used for 5 days Skype video calling.

        On what basis I can recharge it ?

        Will video calling consume this much ?.

        Video calling is not affordable in this ?.

        I have wasted so much money on this net setter for nothing and now I am going to apply for a BSNL connection which is far better than this.

        When I asked a local dealer they told me that it will not finish this fast and there can be some issues and asked me to contact customer care. When I contacted customer care they said usage balance is finished and they dont know more than that. Then why do you need a customer care ?.

          Idea Cellular — Fraudulent and forced deduction of charges

          Dear Sir

          i received a call from ur customer care , a lady called "PINKY" when i was in middle of conference and offered some service which i was not interested on. Inspite of my telling her i dont want the service, she kept on insisting to activate the service (idea music station). To get rid of her, i asked only one question - is there any charge that will be deducted if i agree to it. She said there will be no charge and nothing will be duducted from my account and u have to dial a number 543213 for further action. Then i said - Go ahead. This happened at about 1200hrs on 28 Mar 12
          Now at 0745pm, my account has been deducted with Rs 120/- which SHE NEVER HIGHLIGHTED and she kept on telling me about the number 543213 whether i have noted that or not , very fraudulently hiding the actual thing.
          WITH THIS FORUM, I IMMEDIATELY REQUEST TO REIMBURSE THE AMOUNT OF RS 120/- INTO MY ACCOUNT AND DEACTIVATE ALL USELESS THINGS WHICH I DONT USE ELSE I WILL BE CONSTRAINT TO BRING TO THE NOTICE OF ONE AND ALL INCLUDING PUBLISHING IN MEDIA about the mischievous activity of your company.
          Even sorry to say to speak to ur customer care we have to pay 0.50 per 3 min. That clearly shows u dont want us to speak to u.
          SHAME ON YOU GUYS

            I have been using Idea from 5 years but from last 2 years it has been hell.

            - customer care executive are no help!...they are bumch of jokers sitting there having a good time disconnecting "cusyomer's" calls......they hang up on you,,,,they disconnect the call when they dont know what to do!!!

            - the "ESCALATION DESK" is always "busy".....the call just gets disconnected...no option to hold

            My major concern is...I got a message 2 years ago telling me that there has been some new law by Indian Govtt. and I will have to submit documents like ID proof, address proof etc. otherwise my number would be disconnected......no problem....me and my mom (also an Idea user) submitted the documents. My mom got a messgae that the documnts have been received and there was no problem with her number.

            However, on my number, whenever i make a call...there is an automated voice which says "Aapka numner band ho sakta hai kripya nazdeeki idea showroom mein ja kar documents jama karwayein...." Its a 30 second long IVR which plays before i can make a call......THIS IS VERY VERY IRRITATING!

            Since then I have submitted my documents 7 times at different Idea stores in Delhi and Faridabad but still that automated voice message comes everytime I make a call!......so much for sticking up to Idea for 5 years!

            I have been calling "customer care" number froma long time but no resolution was given....I'm just told to wait.....well I jave been waiting from 2 years now!


            Today I made another call.....got disconnected 4 times and had a heated argument with Sohan....Mahesh.....and after that I received a message that my dialer tone has been changed!.....Rs. 15 deducted from my balance.....I NEVER SENT A REQUEST TO CHANGE MY DIALER TONE TO A MALLU SONG!!!....its obvious that a "customer care" executive had done that to get even with me.....THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.....I would never advise anyone to take an Idea number.


            I'm very disappointed and frustrated. I have no option but to channge my number.I'll go with Vodafone coz IDEA SUCKS.

            Dear Megha: Situation is very bad with every mobile service provider. Nobody is good. You have to depend upon your luck. If you rely upon Vodafone, please first take a look at Vodafone complaints, then you'll understand they are also no good than others.

            But yes, I support your statement & I say: AN IDEA CAN SPOIL YOUR LIFE :p

            I just left Vodafone, do you want to know why? They gave me a number which belonged to someone else before me. Once a person leaves a number, it is re-allotted to another person within 1 or 2 months. It happened to me: I started to receive calls of the previous person who had the number. So? I had to leave Vodafone :)

            I took Idea. I got free 3G in Nokia handset offer: 1GB per month for 3 months: total 3GB. Idea activated my pack, but they are billing me for a free pack - hahaha! And guess what? I have failed to contact 198 in the last 36 hours.

            Nobody is a good mobile service provider Megha. Just go on your luck.
            Idea is worse service, I have observed most of the time if I have balance more than 50 rs they start activating unnecessary packs and start deducting money from account,

              hello sir ,
              This is akilesh my mobile number is [protected] , Two days back i spoke to the idea Customer Care and asked them how to activate my BBM service, they said there are two plans one is 199 and other is 399 both are for 30 days . and when asked how to activate it they told me to recharge my phone for 199 and the BBM services will be activated in 4hrs , i asked them 3 times should i recharge my phone or u will activate it they said that u should recharge it . so at 9:30am i recharged my phone for 199 and again spoke to the Customer Care , they said the server is down so it will take some time . So i waited till evening and spoke to Customer Care again they said that your 199 plan is activated . so i asked them then why I'm not able to use my BBM service . so then they said that u have not activated the BBM service and hence ur not able to use it . Then i told them that i have activated it as you said i recharged my phone for 199 to activate BBM . Then they say that no sir the 199 recharge is for idea to idea free calls for 15days . When i asked y did your Customer Care ask me to recharge they said that we are sorry sir i guess they gave u wrong information . so i asked them to refund my money, they said sure sir we will refund the money within 24hrs and gave me a ref no for the complaint. Today when i dint get the money back i called the Customer Care to ask they say that the money can't be refunded and when i asked them what the complaint ref no was for they said it was not a complaint number it was just a ref no for talking to Customer Care and getting the information about BBM service . Now they say that they can't refund the money . The IDEA Customer Care has lied to me on the face saying that this ref no is ur complain number, when they have not registered any complain number.So i want to take action against IDEA Customer Care for lying to me and i want to get my money back .

                Hi,

                I am using Idea Cellular's prepaid mobile from past 7 years. My no is [protected].

                From past few days when I make call to any mobile (national call), incorrect call charges are being applied. My plan is of .60Paisaminute but I am being charged .75Paisamin consistently for national calls.

                I have also raised complaint SR1-[protected] and calling to cutomer care again and again. Thry have closed the issue saying, charges applied are correct. I must have talked for more than a hour now with them and have wasted money and time.

                I am not getting any help from Call Centers and various Sr. Executive like Vjay, Mahesh et all.

                I request you to kindly look into this issue.

                  I am purchase sim last month on 20th sept from idea gallary & provided driving licence for photo id & address proff on 22 nd sept gallary person can confirm my documents has been submitted but as per customer care person said documents not received & also idea not active my customer care service, i am sending mail to customer care service atlist 3 to 4 times but they can't resolve my query,

                    The happened with me, I am not really comfortable sharing my phone number, Buyt have been calling Idea customer services from past 3 weeks but nothing happened, The call was disconnected almost 10 times and I was so pissed off after that I stopped calling them and sent an email to there complaints department and wow nothing happened after that, Idea changed my life as well.

                    I received a message from Idea on 18th August that read
                    Dear prviliged customer
                    Idea 3G service has been activated on your number for free, Enjoy free 100 MB Usage, Surf movies, Download and much more,

                    And now that I have used the fascility I've been charged for 270 Rs and they clearly say that they can not find the message on there screen hence they will not initiate a refund and when I ask them to transfer the call either it is disconnected or transfered to a another supervisor.

                    An email has been sent to grievances department as well, Still no help.

                    That is not Idea we are looking for :(

                    Unfortunately, I will first transfer my number from post paid to pre-paid and then eventually suddenlly it will be a sudden demise of my Idea connection.

                      it is tpye of scam showing something diffrent. Giving diffrent
                      it should be minimum 3.6mbps (airtel also claming 7.2mbps for same)

                          Dear Sir/Mam,
                          Myself lokeshwaran . Since july 1st week i received a message from one of idea distributor saying there is plan called 199 under that i can get 600 minutes local calls and 250 sms along with that Reebok watch will be given during 1st month bill payment. Later i called and asked the person to come for signup and finished the formalities and paid Rs: 300 as sim activation and they have told that will be deducted from 4th & 5th month bills.

                          Now for paying my bill i have called adayar showroom they are telling there no such schemes of Reebok watch and i called idea customer care and they have told that the offer was closed and it was valid till jan 11.

                          If that the concern why they should lie and make connection, when my 1st payment itself I’m facing the disappointment then there are no reason is there to continue with idea service. It is not a matter of watch, but trust and commitment. When its was failed in the beginning there are no points to continue with idea service. I'm not going to pay the current month bill & continue. Hence I demand idea to to proceed my closure formalities and refund My money Rs: 300 sim activation fee and charges of mental agony for last 4 months.

                            This is Sarankumar from Chennai, Currently i"m using Idea post paid connection. Before a last month, i was activated 3G-Rs100(200MB free Plan per month).I received bill on 15th Sep, in that they charged for total usage of data including my free data (free data usage 200MB/month) i.e totally i used 210MB, in that free is 200MB. Instead of charging for 10MB, they charged for210MB. i complained about this on 15th sep itself. but they don't take any necessary action. When i contacted Idea show room -Chrompet, them action and speech were irresponsibleness . Till date my connection barred three more times, Its released after my explanation for each time. Often i called customer care, there is no response from them. Pls help me on this and take necessary action.

                            My intention of this complaint is, it should not happen further more in future.

                            Ref: Idea Bill of Feb 2010 attached herewith

                            I am customer of IDEA CELLULAR, since long time with few add-on connections also, on seeing the bill of february 2010 I was surprised to note another blunder in billing by the Idea Cellular.

                            It was found that they charged me at Rs.01-50 Paise per SMS for the toll free numbers 50505. In the current bill, as well as in earlier bills, I observed that they charged for the SMS to 50505 number-which according to them is toll free. Infact in their website also they stated it as toll free, their customer care center number's dialer tone directs the callers to the 50505 number for knowing details as to current bill.

                            Having checked, I realised the fraud / fault, dont know whether the billing is done carelessly or fraudently. I am now suspecting much more....will have to go through the old bills to uncover this kind of malpractises. Dont know how many people are made fool like this.

                            I sent a mail complaining of the same and seeking for a reply clarifying / rectifing the faults / fraud and adjustments of my bill payments also but yet to get a reply.

                            I am old customer with five connections [A/c.no.1.10688829] from Idea Cellular. Since last few months I am annoyed by the frequent mistakes in charging me for the SMS made to Toll free number 50505, this SMS's were charged at Rs.01-50 Paisa per SMS [being levied again and again] in all the bills is disturbing (read Disgusting). The problem appeared in the last bills of February, January 2010 also, the earlier bills I did not check.

                            This acts of excessive charging a customer are wrong and repetition of the same is nothing but act of cheating a loyal customer who relies you and your services.

                            May I request Idea A/c department to make necessary corrections as to the wrong billing?

                            In regard to the above, I have lodged a complaint with customer care center also, till this day I did not get any response or assurance that the billing will be rectified.

                            I am not informed as to how much I need to pay after rectifications/adjustments in the bill.

                            Please care to reply and expedite the wrong billings, so that I can make payment.

                            I used to avail service on my IDEA postpaid number [protected], and my average bill used to be Rs 400- rs 500, and i always paid in time , in july end i moved out of delhi & no lonnger needed the service , i paid a bill arnd Rs 444 last in August & called up idea customer care for stopping the service & close my number as i no longer lived in delhi & had to move to other city for medical reason & was said that it would be done.

                            Recently i received call from some guys saying my number is still active & that i have to pay Rs 4500 unpaid bill, please shed some light on the issue, if the number was active for another billing cycle even then my bill should had been the average rs 400- rs 500. i have never received a higher bill as per my usage. please clarify & stop my number & save me from the harassment of this callers.

                            i would not like to spoil my good experience with IDEA because of this.

                            I Mr Ashish K Rumde Using the Idea Postpaid Services from 7 months, it is Corporate connection which is registered under the name of Nikhil Automobiles ltd, My idea cellular number is +91 [protected], with this complaint I would like to express my bad experience with Idea Cellular. I don’t know why you are charging me unnecessary, as you can check the history of my service records. The first month of billing was completely fine according to my unbilled amount and service uses, but from last 4 months I have not made much calls from my idea services but still they are increasing my unbilled again day by day. I thought this might be a approx figure for my Nov 12 unbilled amount but it was not like that.

                            Anyways stills I was facing the same trouble but again the same mistake is repeated for the current month (Nov 12). I have not receive my monthly bill of Oct 12. My billing cycle of every month is 23rd but according to your terms I should receive it till 30th but unfortunately it is not happening like that, This is not only for the month of Oct 12, but Again it is repeated for the month of Nov 12

                              I AM THE FRIENDLY USER IN IDEA ( AT A TIME 3 CONNECTION) & USE TO FORCE MY CIRCLE, ALL OVER INDIA WHERE I AM ROAMING & USE THE SAME. PRESENTLY I AM IN KARNATAKA & TOOK ANEW CONNECTION AT BANGALORE.NO IS CELL-[protected], SIM NO[protected]. AFTER ACTIVATING THE CONNECTION ONLY ONE DAY I USED IT. ALMOST 15 DAYS IS OVER NO RESPONSE GATING FROM YOUR CUSTOMER CARE CENTER EVEN THOUGH RETAIL DEALER END.I AM UNABLE TO CALL CC NO-[protected] IT IS ALSO BAR.

                              SO WHY WE ARE ROAMING FOR IDEA? IF YOUR SERVICE IS NOT SERVE TO CUSTOMER WHAT IS THE USE.

                                Even after registering my complaints through internet and even thorough e-mail to de-activate the unnecessary jokes, dating tips etc SMS services Idea Cellular has not de-activated the same , instead those SMSs are coming regularly. The customer care of IDEA replied to my e-mail dated 01.10.2011 only on 05.10.11 and even did not de-activate those unnecessary services. When telephoned to cutomer care on date they replied that those de-activation will be done on 07.10.11. It implies that a complaint logged on 01.10.11 for a petty thing will be taken care only after 7 days by the said company. Even when we telphoned to their NODAL officer in the allocated tel no nobody received the phone. Whether on 7th Oct,11 they will take care of the situation or not God only knows.

                                  I switched over to Idea from Airtel on account o[censored]nnecessary deduction o[censored]nwanted service activation keeping in view that Idea cellular do not do such things. But the real story is the same with Idea as well. How these companies are befooling the ordinery customers is anybody guess. Back door robbery isn't it? Some one has to become Anna to fight against such ill-practices. Let us join hands to fight such malpractices.

                                    i m using idea service.i have recharged my no.([protected]) with 30 rs on 04/10/2011 at 13.28 from ideacellular site by online recharge. rerf no is MCIT[protected] tran.id is 9720548. but i didn't got balance yet.for that i called to customer care but Mr.hussain( on 05/10/2011 at 11.50) replied me that there was no such information regarding 30 rs recharge & he rudly told that i had not recharged my sim on 04/10/2011 but before hussain i talked with mrs. mayuri she replied me that recharge was done but balance not updated.both executive gave me diffrent information???.
                                    so i request u plz do needful action regarding this matter bcoz even after 24 hours customer care is unable to update information hence i didn't got my balance.

                                      I have purchased the Idea 3G netsetter lase month. I have opted for plan 850 where i am paying Rs 850 and getting the usage of 3 GB+3 GB = 6GB till December end. When i started using this, i found out that if you are using it on multiple laptop, there is no way to find out how much data you have used till now.

                                      When i called customer care to find about it, they said there is no way to check the data usage in Idea 3G. While other operators gove that option, why IDEA is taking advantage of peoples' non-interest of knowing the data usage. Tomorrow, if they tell you that you have used 10 GB of data, there is no way to challege them the authenticity of the statistics.

                                      I request you to take this matter to upper management and give this facility to all cosumers as soon as possible.

                                      i just want a way to check my available balance

                                      and i refuse to believe this is not something that such a huge company can provide easily

                                      the customer service people are severely hard to deal with, rendering this service utterly unhelpful when i inadvertently ran out of credit before 30 days and nobody would tell me what i needed to do
                                      - that is, until i started spraying out cash! they made me buy the wrong plan (rs 300) and then an unnecessary top-up (rs 156), until i finally went to a shop and inserted an additional rs 1250 plan. i never received back the 300+156, and i never will.

                                      i don't understand why they cannot comprehend the basic need of this feature - for the simple sake of topping up before i run out of internet!!!
                                      I M ALSO AGREE WITH U BRO...
                                      Unfortunately TRAI is not doing its job & that allows Big Business to cheat their customers
                                      I too agree that why can't we check our data usage? Once IDEA claims to get idea for nonsense facilities so, why they don't want customer to get idea for usage detail.

When i started using this, i found out that my bill rate coming more so i have changed my plan to 349 in this month. Today i got 1 call from your customer care that your credit limit is crossed i.e approx rs 1680/-

                                      When i called customer care to find about it and told them that please give me the hard copy of this, they said there is no way to check the data usage in Idea 3G.                                         A/c no 8.10081163 .We have corporate account with Idea .On 3.10.2011 morning all the users received the message stating crossing the credit limit of entire group( Rs 25000/-).
                                        We had never given our concent to such a low credit limit.
                                        The message was recd at 8.18am and all the nos were disconnected in next 10 minites time .
                                        We were shocked when the no got disconnected while the due date was 8.10.2011(5 days further )

                                        We had never paid our corporate bill beyond due date .
                                        The payment of current bill was paid immediately to nearest Idea gallery at 1 pm on 3.10.2011.

                                        The mobiles were restored at 3.30 pm on same day ( were disconnected at 8 am ) and again on 4.10.2011the nos got disconnected.

                                        WHY A COMPANY HAVING CORPORATE ACCOUNT IS TREATED LIKE THIS .
                                        We have had a lot of inconvenience in mmunicating with our people .Why should we tolerate such a bad treatment .
