I have recharged my mobile( [protected]) with Rs. 250/- using www.rechargeitnow.com. Got the SMS from 147 recharge successful. I have got approximately Rs. 228/- talktime but expected Rs. 250/- talktime. I called Idea care (4444), customer care representative. Sagar told me I will get talktime in few minutes. After 7 hours I haven't got any additional topup talktime of Rs. 22/-.

Be aware of idea cellular which cheating this way...

    Please don't believe on the information given by IDEA from the number 53500. They do not stick to what they say. They told me to provide 7-day validity on 22 recharge, but forfieted the amount in 2 days only. They did not honour the SMS even that they sent: "Aap ke talktime ki validity badha kar 7 din ho gayee hai". Below is the letter I wrote to the Nodal officer of IDEA after being cheated, but no benefit. Finally, I asked them 3 questions

    1. The message comes after recharging "You have successfully recharged

    with 22." Why the validity is not disclosed.

    2. May 24, 2011; 01.06 PM: I received an SMS [Aap ke talktime ki validity

    badha kar 7 din ho gayee hai]: Why this message was sent to me?

    3. There is a number, 53500, to know the best recharge offer specially

    for an indivisual number. When I called on this number it was told,

    and still it is being announced, that "get full talktime on a recharge

    of Rs. 22 with a validity of 7 days."

    But they did not have any answer.

        My wifes mobile's outgoing is not working from last 3 days due to not submitting the proofs. She is using that number from last 14 months.

        Today she got a call from [protected]-customer care idia, telling that who is talking. My wife replied that who are you, you have called so you tell first. That girl was talking ruffly and told that I will stop your incomming also from here.

        if some one is calls then caller should tell that who he is. . The caller girl was talking so ruffly and this is not a way to talk with customer. some one tell taht girl that you are not only provider in market, lots of other providers also their.

          I am a post paid customer of idea, ihave been charged Rs.1013,for just few minutes.(5/10).The call was made from my idea no [protected] at 9.45 after receiving a miss call from the no [protected]at 14th june at 9.01am
          That was a call telling i am the lucky winner to won an cash price of one thousand Eruo(€1000).It was just a Fake Call. I am accepting some offers through sms, but this was a fraudulent act.Idea cellular must take action on it.

              My name is Shivam Sarmah and my mobile number is[protected]X. I spoke to Idea Care more than 10 times and got few call backs too from your team called Resolution (Who don't come up with resolution but says sorry quite often) finally thought of writing an email which will end up with no use, I know but at least I shall be able to express my dissatisfaction.

              I had a GPRS plan in my cell phone which is of INR 89 per month which I have got activated during Nov.2010, I have been told that this plan does have a feature o[censored]nlimited uses which is impressive.

              While checking my unbilled amount I was shocked to see close to INR 6000 by around 20th of last month. I quickly call up Idea Care to understand, I have been assured that they are not a position to check the same at that moment but any GPRS data uses will be deducted as per the plan at the end of month during bill generation. They were also kind in upgrading my GPRS plan to INR 99 per month. And at the end of the month I have received an email which says INR 5237/- in total out of which INR 3434/- is towards GPRS uses. When I called Idea Care to cross check, I have been told that I can't question on my bill and no complain can be generated here. After many calls on the same I had been transferred to Senior (!) who claims to be from escalation team who was very kind in generating a complain number which is[protected]. In fact in April.2011 bill too I have paid INR 1174/- towards GPRS which I have noticed now.

              Hereafter, I have got few calls from a team member who says they are not from Idea care nor Escalation Team but from back-end. There was couple of polite conversation where I have been asked how and when I did activate GPRS (Almost in Delhi Police attitude), I replied it was somewhere during Nov.2010 but no idea on exact date, I mean I just called Idea care and got activated. Somehow on few days back a gentlemen named Piyush called me up and admitted that it was a issue at Idea's end that I had not been briefed about Access Point from which the issue raised now. He tried his best to convince me saying "sorry for the inconvenience"/ "it was a issue at our end" / "we are really sorry for that" and so on, he told me that he is going to adjust INR 600 in my next bill, I was not convinced. If you are admitting it is your fault how come the end user that is the customer should have to suffer? He was suppose to call me with a better resolution but somehow he might have forgot to call me and sort out this.

              Again today, I got a call from a gentleman in Idea saying Quality Call to ensure best service and asked feedback from me followed by a reminder on my bill payment. I asked him, has my issue been resolved on billing which he couldn't able to answer. In the same time, one more issue- I got a message from Idea saying "Your subscription to Yahoo Aries is activated @ INR 30 per month" which I have never been asked for. Today while talking on my billing I asked about this, I had been told that I have activated it from my end (Maa Kasam, this I never ever activated from my end).

              Now the bottom line here is you can come back to me in next month and say "Sir, your bill for last month is INR 20,000/- for so and so use and you have to pay this", I shall be helpless at that moment. In fact, I feeling helpless at this moment, that nobody is here to solve my issue.

              After this long 'dukh bhari kahani' about Idea let me tell something about me (I can't believe myself I did write so long). I have been using this Idea number since August 2005, earlier for few years it was prepaid and later I converted to post paid. Ideally. I am not a fussy customer but this time you have crossed Laxman Rekha and I am seriously feeling helpless poor fellow in front of you. I understand, Idea is doing great it got a handsome number of customer through MNP as well from operators like Airtel, but these good news didn't work with me. I somehow got my port which is ID621915 expiry's on 17/06/2011. No worries please, I shall clear my dues by due date along with unbilled before "Thinking Haatke".

              I hereby convey my best regards to Mr. Sanjeev Govil - Chief Operating Officer, Delhi & Haryana. Let me wrap up with Aaj mujhe satya ka gyan ho gaya hain ki "An Idea Can Change Your Life".

              Dear All,

              This has for our kind reference, customer user cell no. [protected] using Idea prepaid cellular services since last 6 years, but now I too much afraid from idea services regarding network & misbehave of the customer care executive. I send too many massages for port but still I didn't received port out code.For this problem, I contact to customer care, ur CCE hold the call and same as disconnect, even at last I talked with a sr. Executive he told me contact your near idea showroom but the problem same as like it is. I politely requesting you, Please provide me port out code asap.

                I have taken a new postpaid connection under Corporate plan T655 - CUG 149 Plan on 26th May 2011.
                In plan there is free calling between CUG. After taking connection I have phone calls only between CUG number.
                But in Outstanding Amount it’s showing Rs. 236.13 against both CUG numbers.

                    I was using idea Internet promotion of 66 package which the provider said I can use for 1 month
                    But on 15th day my account balance become 7paise

                    When I tried to file a complaint the operator said it is not a complaint

                    More over operator said there is no promotion under your mobile
                    And I didn't use Internet for first 14 days

                    According to their record I started using Internet on 15 th day only

                    The arrogant operator did not even listen to me and cut the phone

                    In my whole life no service provider had this kind of arrogant operator

                    I said to him I have the proof SMS for promotion

                    He said you can contact customer service

                    For which I need to topup my mobile as customer service is not free

                    I was expecting a SMS when my promotion is over and when first time GPRS is charged from my talk balance

                      I am having your cell no. [protected]. It really seems that IDEA has dropped its ethics besides and started cheating customers to the extent they can despite informing on the helpline, sending sms and also mailing you to deactivate RC 33 on 4th June. , you had not taken it seriously and today deducted Rs. 33 from my account. Now this is really heights of cheating and exploiting the existing customers.I am dissatisfied with your customer care 4444 (ASHOKBHAI) & 198 (SHAILESHBHAI) as they are not able to deactivate my RC 33 ( as I am not able to get the benefits of RC 32) & RC 56 pack. And whenever I send the smsv NORC33 to 4444 & NORC56 to 4444, I am getting only blank SMS instead of the acknowledgement.

                      They are not deactivating schemes intentionally to earn money.

                      IDEA MOBILE — making Money by activating offers

                      i am idea mobile user.The worst thing is, suddenly they will deduct money from account. and if we enquire abt that, they will tell that we have activated that.
                      yesterday they deducted 30Rs. When i asked them they told that i only activated. it is funny that, they are pproviding service for listening Songs for 25 minutes in one month . Even Customer care people might also be knowing they are making fraud.and they will tell that it will be charged for ever if we dont cancel that offer. We can think of how they are making money.it is worst...

                        Hello Mr. Ramkumar,

                        I own an Idea number [protected]. I had purchased this postpaid number from the Airoli (Navi Mumbai) Idea gallery.

                        While purchasing the card, I was given the number [protected] which was started in 8-10 days after the purchase. Since I use another number, I didn't bother to check if it was started. Once I did by inserting the card into my mobile and giving a missed call on the other number. On that other phone, the number that flashed was [protected]. So I removed the card and inserted back again after 2-3 days.

                        Soon after I inserted the card, I received a 'Welcome' call from Idea (I don't remember if the call was on the Idea number or the alternate number). The person on the line asked me the number to which I replied [protected]. He told me, and that's when I came to know, that the number is now [protected]. I registered my protest and refused to accept the new number. He told me to call up the customer care and raise a complaint with them. I did so and was told that the query will be resolved in 20 days' timeframe. Since a wrong number was activated, I didn't use this number at all except once or twice to check the status.

                        In between I was diligent in paying the bills for the time I was not using the number at all. I faced problems with the payment also. One particular Idea gallery that falls on my way, opposite Star Plus office, Marol, used to always be pull down the shutter at 19:45. 15 minutes earlier than its official closing time. I had raised the complaint once regarding the same. But nothing happened on that. Because of that, I failed to pay the one of the bills on time. God knows what happened to that particular complaint.

                        Now, coming back to the main issue, I was told that [protected] had already been activated. I asked for the dates but the customer care, as helpless and hopeless as always, replied that this detail cannot be divulged.

                        So, here I'm waiting to get my earlier number. Had the number unavailable at the first place, I wouldn't have opted for Idea. Now I'm being told that I will not get back my deposit back since it gets adjusted in the bill amount. Now that I haven't used the number at all, it again falls back on me for not UTILIZING the said benefit and that I won't get my deposit back.

                        I feel so cheated and frustrated by the approach of Idea and the ambiguity that prevailed throughout the course of action from Idea. I want to know following things from Idea.

                        The status of wrong number activation and ALL THE DETAILS regarding the other number as well. I want to know the activation date, with proof, of the number [protected].
                        The status of the complaint I had raised for the Marol's Idea gallery.
                        In my conversation with the Idea customer care helpline, I came to know that the system update of the number switch request is that 'the customer has agreed the number that has been issued to him'. To my knowledge, I haven't said that thing and claim with sound mind that did not receive any such call from Idea. If Idea is sure about that, I want all the proofs of such call being made to me.
                        Why, in this unique case, can't I get back my deposit amount if I've paid all my dues regularly.
                        Why shouldn't I expect the full refund from Idea as there was no execution of the CORRECT service in this case?
                        Where can I meet the REAL PERSONS from Idea to have a one on one query resolution?
                        If there's any problem on the part of either Idea or the representative at the Idea gallery Airoli, why should I, the customer, suffer due to that.
                        Why shouldn't I claim the compensation for the pathetic and demeaning treatment I received from Idea Cellular company?

                        Hope to have a word from you in the rational timeframe.

                        Idea — Number issued to different customer

                        hi concern

                        This is regarding my IDEA Mobile number [protected]. I am using this number since 5 years. It was activated as a lifetime validity till 2017.
                        last month i was on out of town and its number was allotted to different costumer without my knowledge. They don't have any reason .

                        I want my number back . Pls suggest how.

                        And why its allotted to other costumer in only after one month.

                        Thank you for the good laugh this morning.

                        I had sent a mail to the Idea Mumbai Nodal Officer on June 14, 2011, to which I haven't got a reply (I don't consider an 'auto reply' a reply) till date. I resent the mail on June 22 in which I had mentioned that 'i'm not using the Idea number due to the current dispute over it. I got a reply on June 24 (docket ref#[protected] stating that I was not reachable on either of my numbers (but at the same time the whole world was able to get through me). Anyways, so 7 days after that I get a reply to my complaint on a third party website that the complaint has been resolved and the funniest part is, I am still not aware what the resolution is.

                        So I request Idea Customer Care (:D) to please inform me about the resolution. Also, please give me your number if you're not able to get in touch with me. I would be more than happy to do that. If even this doesn't fit into your policy, please send me a mail stating all the details of action taken from your end.

                              Hi,

                              I am also facing the same issue I just shifted to Atul Nagar, Warje Pune in Building B2 and having online one or no bar of idea signal which is resulting in having poor voice quality, call drops, no active GPRS etc.

                              Moreover we are having idea network issue in office in TechMahindra, Hinjewadi Phase 3 here on Block 2, Ground Flow I hardly get any network and there is no network near common areas and wash rooms, one need to go out to talk and mainly to use GPRS.

                              I have 2 numbers which are both of IDEA CUG and I am forced to change the network provider.

                              I have idea from last 5+ years with no issues however this problem is unavoidable as I need to sit in balcony to talk on cell phone which ultimately defeats the purpose of mobile phone.

                              My numbers are +91-[protected] & +91-[protected]

                              I do have Service Request registered by idea with number[protected].

                              If possible please help in fixing network issue in Atul Nagar, Warje and TechMahindra, Hinjewadi Phase 3, Pune.

                              Idea — No network in Atul Nagar

                              I have 2 Idea nos - [protected] and [protected].
                              Response to all the complaints made to Idea in this regards is below expectations.
                              Seems they are really not interested in restoring network connection.
                              But they want full money to be paid without any any break!!
                              How could a service provider refuse(yes!) to provide smooth network after charging full money for the services(?) ????
                              The issue has not been resolved yet and my port out request is still pending it got rejetced twice after my statement got generated, I am requesting you to please approve my port out request at this time as there is not outstanding as of now and it will not be till 4th Aug 2011.

                              The network issue at my home and office is same till date.

                              The numbers are +91-[protected] (PORT Request No. IZ796649) & +91-[protected] (PORT Request No. IZ558412)

                              I too am facing issues with Idea network in Warje, Oval Nest, Behind Garden City. Network signal is available only near kitchen window and as I go to hall room, signal drops to Zero. Have registered complained having ID[protected] and response I received was that they are not aware when the network would be expanded to this area. I am using Idea since last 6+ years and recently shifted to Oval Nest society. Now applied for porting to Airtel network.

                                Dear Sir/Madam,

                                I have activated DND on my IDEA mobile number(955257**25) since September-2010.
                                I am recieving unwanted sms from LM-Icall from[protected] everyday.
                                Content of sms is "Dear Mr/Mrs/Ms <my **** name > your new password is: ****** ".
                                I have lodged many complaints to IDEA regarding the same. But IDEA is not willing to take any action on the same. Looks like IDEA SOLD my number to LM-Icall

                                My complaint no. with IDEA are[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected],[prot... [protected],[protected],[protected].

                                  Hi All,

                                  Please do not use Idea Net setter data card. They will loot you left and right. I have activated 3G in my Idea Net setter data card with 599 plan (which includes 1GB download). I have rarely used internet for browsing. When my bill got generated on 9th June 2011, the amount they have billed is Rs 4308.335 /- for my net setter data card sim no: [protected] bearing invoice no: [protected]. For 45 mins - 1 hr usage, they have charged me Rs 750/- and this time is for browsing and for any download.

                                  On complaining about these improper bill amount, they have told they cannot take complaint in this regard and said they cannot do anything about it. None of the above details are false. You can contact me to my mobile number, I will give you all the details.

                                  Before taking any idea net setter data card connection, rethink 100 times. They are professional cheaters.

                                      very slow speed

                                      i purchased idea netsetter 4 months ago,
                                      they said it should give about 236 kbps speed to me
                                      but i got only 5-7 kbps it is a cheating ...
                                      i can do nothing with this slow internet connection........

                                      I have been using Idea Postpaid Connection for past more than 5 years, which has ISD activated since day one, but now all of sudden without informing my ISD services had been stopped and on talking with Idea Cellular customer care on No. 12345 from my idea no. I am told to get an approval for ISD activation from the Idea Local Office. the question is Why my ISD services were discontinued and why shall I go the Idea Office to get this service activated again as I had not given any request for the discontinuation of the same. is this all about Great Idea.....?????? to cheat its customers...
