i am having idea no [protected] from last 2 year.
for some reason, i changed this number from postpaid to prepaid.
I went phase-7 idea outlet to change my number on 12th march,2010 .
They asked me address proof and one photo.
i submitted proofs and photo and idea people gave me new sim.
First inconvenience was that they closed my postpaid connection immediately.
and three days to start new connection.
After that For one week it works fine.in that week i got messages stating that your proofs have not been submitted till now.please submit your proofs immediately otherwise your connection will be closed.
On 19 march i went same idea outlet again to confirm why my documents are not processed till now.
they said me it takes time and your connection will not be closed for ducuments.
But on 21 march ,my connection has been closed.
Even i not able to call in care also.
my incoming/outgoing calls are blocked on this number.
It is so disgusting.

Idea — Inconvenience

I am Aravindvijayan from kerala i am using idea my no. is [protected] i recharge my phone for 30 rs.But i got only 9Rs. instead of 25Rs. to complain about that i try 2 call to 458(idea customer care)from 6.45 pm t0 8.15 pm.But i cant get any help i cant get a chance to talk to a customercare exicutive
true...Idea do such things

Idea Prepaid — great inconvenience

sir,

it seems !dea is prepared to make use of MNP exclusively causing inconvenience to the customers.

as per dot guidelines, i submitted the required docs a couple of months back. but past three days i m getting sms to resubmit the docs stating it that they are damaged/lost.

when i reached out to the idea outlet, the forms for the same seem to be out of stock.

i ve to spend another day to get the required form and submit my docs. the attitude of the customer service executive too was not so convencing.

it seems idea has decided to compel their customers to use MNP and switch to other service providers.

    This complaint I have sent to Idea cellular as well but there is no response yet.. So please look into it.

    I am customer of Idea since last more than 10 years+. ([protected])
    I am not at all all interested in your one time subscription offer of INR 450/- which will gives me discount of INR 75/- for 12 months. Please revise that as I don't see any logic in that.

    I have registered this above mention complaint with TRAI as well Hope to get relief.
    IDEA Cellular Maharashtra Circle and harassment done by them. They have charge 450/- as unknown charges and when ask for relief initially said it will be done but now they denied it to reverse it. So need a relief in it. Will look forward to hear from you. With regards Makarand Wadekar

      Hi,

      IDEA Cellular has stopped me from porting my number to TATA DOCOMO using false claims that my number is only three month old. But still i am using this number from last one and half year( The activation date of my number is 9-september-2009.

      My mobile number is [protected], registered in the name of “SUMIT SEHGAL".

      This has been a number of IDEA CELLULAR, which is now NOT LETTING ME PORT TO ANOTHER SERVICE PROVIDER USING FALSE CLAIMS.
      A few days ago, I had logged a porting request to 1900 to port my number to TATA DOCOMO six times.

      I got a upc code when i went to TATA DOCOMO retail outlet for changing my number.The services provider show that port in request configuration failed at "NIMS".



      “Request Rejected by donor due to: This subscriber has passed only three month to using our services. but still i am using this number from one and half year.

      I contacted the customer care on the 18th, 19th March about this and they told me that we are transfer your call to our senoir and then they kept it on hold or either disconnet it.i have paid around 15 to 20 rupee to talk to your customer care.now i have decided to switch from you company and change my number and
      I wrote a mail to 'ccare.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com' and 'grievance.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com' on the 15th. I did not receive any reply. Then I again mailed them on the 16th and the 17th and never received any reply.

      I called them today (19th March) to inquire about the same.
      As per them I i can change my number but still no action have been taken by the compnay.

      THIS IS INTOLERABLE.


      I need to port away from IDEA as soon as possible.
      With the worst coverage, pathetic support staff and irresponsible staff. which don't take the clear problem of customer? the only money being spent on abhishek bachchan is not sufficient and never on customers, this is the worst network provider to be in.

      Please help me to get out of this.

      Idea Cellular Ltd — Claim not received

      I have applied for withdrawal of my PF in December 2009. Till date I have not recieved my money. Though I hv mailed once to epfropune, but no reply from their side. Kindly help me getting my money faster, as i have no job and I am badly in need of money.

      my name is Kamaljeet singh ,and i am presently using IDEA services and my mobile no. is [protected],sir as per the new number portability service i wished to change my operator and i followed all the rules declared by TRAI .Sir, i am paying my bills on time and every time i requested for the change of operator IDEA telecom rejects my request saying that my bills are due , i have all the bill receipts and still they are not allowing me to change my operator ,i even requested to change my postpaid connection to prepaid, they don't even did so.
      Sir i request you to take an immediate action as all my attempts are in vein.

      Idea Cellular Ltd — Pathetic network coverage

      I write to you today on behalf of my father (Mr. Sushil Kr. Seth) to put a complaint about the network service he is recieving from Idea Cellular Ltd.

      He has logged numerous complaints with the Customer Service of Idea Cellular Ltd for the frequent call drops he has been experiencing while using his Idea postpaid connection # [protected] around our residence in Sector-7, Faridabad. Despite being promised that the situation will to resolved soon, there has been nothing factual that has been done till date to reduce the call drops and help him use your cellular service with satisfaction.

      He has been your loyal customer since 2005 and has not experienced any difficulties with his account untill a few months ago when he started experiencing frequent call drops while making outbound calls from his cellphone.

      On the recommendation of Idea's Customer Service dept, he went to the extent of even buying himself a new Nokia handset to see if the situation eased but only to see his investment go down the drain with no fruitful results.

      Left with no other choice, I put his complaint on this public forum to help him continue with Idea as a customer and hoping that there would be a change to the levels of service experienced by him.

      I am hoping that his mail will help him reach the right authorities which will get the necessary done to ensure service levels are met and that he would continue as a customer with Idea Cellular as always.

      Idea Cellular Ltd — Number Portability Idea to Docomo

      Hello Sir,

      My Name is Srinivas,
      i have been using Idea since last 2years, but now i moved to Hyderabad for my Studies.
      there i don't have Idea Signals so that i have requested to Idea Cellular Ltd for Number Portability to Tata Docomo. but they has rejected my application that to 2 times.
      and they are charging amount with different packages which i didn't activate it. if i call to Customer care they are not responding well.
      i just fed up with all those things...i want number portability to Tata Docomo.
      But the Idea people are not accepting though i submitted correct documents.
      please give me a solution.

        never ever received Idea Bill on time.
        bad behavior of custumer care executives with me.Incomplete

        Idea Cellular — Incomplete information provided by Idea cellular customer care executive

        I had contacted idea on 8th november for information on Rs. 89 monthly plan for GPRS. I was provided with information that the plan will alow me to open and send e-mail, browse the net without any charger per kb, on payment of 89 Rs. monthly.

        But after activating the same scheme is was informed vide SMS that i will be charged 1 p/kb on using the internet. which is more expensive than my present GPRS plan (rental of Rs. 30 for month and 1p/kb for download).

        Hence if i was provided with correct information at the first instance i would not have activated the scheme as it is clearly more expensive than my present plan, both in terms of rental and downloading charge.

        I immediatelty took the matter with customer care at idea, who were unable to satisfy me with any valubel information. my call was then forwared to Mr. vikas, floor incharge, who assured me that if wrong information was given to me my amount of 89 Rs. would be credited. he had asked me to call customer care within 4 hrs. again. I did as directed by him but the customer care was busy through out the day. I made atleast 5-10 calls.

        again i contacted IDEA with my complaint and asked to talk to Mr. vikas again, he was not available today. hence my call was redirected to Mr. Irshad, Floor supervisor. who very clearly told me that there is no provision for crediting my money back.

        Hence i have been supplied with incorrect information twice by IDEA.

        It is not my investment of 89 rs. which is my major concern, it is lack of information and the medium in which it is provided.

        i have already deactivated 89 Rs. plan as it is wastage of money.

        Please look into the matter. I have forwarded my complaint to IDEA as well.

          Cricket alerts have been automatically subscribed for this number and I am being charged Rs. 5/- per day Last 15-20 days. However, I still keep receiving the alerts which is very disturbing and also money gets deducted.
          I tried reaching out to customer care on 12345/198, but did not help to a customer representative.

          I request these alerts to be de-activated immediately and stop deducting money from the pre-paid account.

            I am customer of former Service Providor ( Spice) since its inception in Punjab with Mobile Number[protected] , lateron taken over by Idea Cellular Ltd.

            on 23.1.2011 , Under New Provisions of 'Portability of Mobile Number' I sent a SMS and got the Code for portability. I approached BSNL Patiala to regsiter me against that code and the same was done with a Security Deposit ( Rs. 3000/- for International Calls) on 24.1.2011.

            To clear the usual Bills of Idea I paid Rs.1300/- to Idea Cellular Ltd. as advance , through internr banking account of ICICI Bank.

            My 3G Connection and Number was activated by BSNL on 3.2.2011 . A bill was issued to me by BSNL on 6.3.2011 which was paid as a amount of Rs.600/-. Then I got a message from BSNL that I should clear my dues with Idea Cellular. I approached 'My Idea' outlet and there I was told that Rs. 1257.14 , was due to me, which they have deducted from my Security deposit ( Rs. 5500/-) and Rs.4242.86 will be paid to me within 90 days.

            Suddenly my telephone was 'deactivated'
            I approached Idea and BSNL offices and sutteled between the two for almost 5 days and have lodged the complaint with Customer Care of Idea vide Reg.No.[protected] dated 14.3.2011. I was advised by BSNL people to pay a cash of pending bill of Idea and present the receipt to them so that my Telephone is activated. But inspite of the fact that Idea office has told me that they have deducted the pending bill amount of Rs.1257.14 from my security , they got Rs. 1257.14 in Cash and issued a recipt of Rs. 1257.14 vide receipt No. PATF28R1/3021795 dated 16 March 2011. The recipt was presented to BSNL.
            Now BSNL office has directed us to have a new code from Idea.
            Idea Office is refusing to attend any rquest from us.
            My telephone is a Very important Number as I happen to be a National Level Worker of Indian Medical Association, President Elelct of Rotary Club Patiala and a doctor with vide connecetions with my clients and patients. My patients and other services are in great difficulty over the behaviuor of both the service providers i.e. IDEA Cellular Ltd.& BSNL.

            Kindly find out some way to get my number activaed and take action gainst the Service providers under Consumer Protection Act 1986 and other provisions of TRAI regulations. Some via media may be found to allow me to keep this number with anyother service provider - preferably Airtel under portibility of Number regulations.

              Hi,

              I have taken a new Idea prepaid SIM on 6th March 2011 in pune with no. [protected]. I m not local resident of pune so i was not having local address proof. But then one of Idea SIM dealer says that there is an option that if you dont have the local address proof then you just need to provide the address and contact number of any local resident to whom you know. and i found that there was a column in the form regarding this clause. SO i have given the Contact Name/Address and Number of the person. Apart from this i have given My PAN Card copy, Election Card copy.

              NOW this sim became my headache. they have deactivated the sim on 13th March 2011 by saying that your documents are not complete. When i contact the dealer he is saying that your documents are complete. there is no need to give any document. I was not even able to contact with customer care as my SIM is deactivated. That dealer says that your SIM would be activated in next 8 hours. I am daily going to him and he used to say same thing but nothing happens till date.

              After that somehow i arranged another sim then even customer care , nodal officer is saying that your document is incompleted. I m saying then if you need local address proof in any case then why th hell is that clause in your form ? By using that clause dealer used to make us fool. Nodal officer is saying repeatedly that i dont know whatever is your case, i just know this thing that you need to submit the local address proof, identity proof and photo. these sucking customer care & nodal officers?

              SO i just request to look into the matter and activate this number soon.

              Idea — sim deactivated

              I purchased one Nokia 5130 mobile from Saluja Telecom Dhanbad.With this idea sim got free after deposited identity proof.Using same sim No.[protected] till one week and also recharged it.In between queries done by idea call centre about me.Suddenly on 16th sim was locked and not able to call/receive.I have balance against this sim.Please reactivate this sim and if any problem then confirm why this happened?

              And then everything is clear, i have get new problem. On 4 sep. 2011 when my idea dealer entered this no. card in my mobile handset and activate that sim then came a massage from company that your sim card was expired.
              My dealer said me that this card had expired you have purchase a another sim card but my problem is that I have get this no. with very problems and i don't want to lost this no. ...so please i just request to look into the matter and activate this no. or give some "Idea" for get this "Idea" no...so please

                Dear Sir,
                My ideal mobile No.[protected] I got recharge of Rs.54/- for one month mobile internet pack on dated 10.03.2011 and a message for confirmation of recharge of Rs.54/- received in my mobile but Rs. 54/- internet plan not activated in my account uptill today. Further I have made several complaint and talk with executive of ideal costomer care centre but all in vain.

                An early action in the matter is requested to solve my problem.

                    My Sim is having enough charge of making international calls and and now the complaint is that after all I reached here on the same day I was succeded of making calls from here and on wards the call baring is coming across while making calls to India.

                    I tired many times of getting in connection and all the way the barring is happening. I tried of removing the barring from the set up option of my phone N73 I and is asking of the pass word for it.

                    There fore kindly needed urgent help on this matter as always ur provided to me.

                      I am Mahendra Nakhate i had purchase a new Idea sim card just one week ago from today, this sim is belong to the cumpus group after activation the sim the card rate tremedous changes for examaple 3 minutes 1.70 paise. when i made complemnt for that then are not given any complent docut numbr and not refunded charges...
                      so what we have to do for that...

                      My no. is [protected]...i got a message on[protected] that u ll get full talktime on RS166 recharge.. but i didn't get full talktime.. when I talked to custemer care executives.. they are not attending me properly.

                      This IDEA Customer Care Service is a headache for us.
                      The Customer Services doesnt response properly.
                      They are explaining in wrong way and also cant sort out the problems of Customers

                        so , i send mail & sms for e-bill activation & but current month applicable for me , then give this complaint in idea postpaid customer care but there people not given clearly answer .

                        finally i not pay my bill then i recived one call from idea customer care mr. sachin calling - he tell me you just pay only cahrge amount neglect call confarnce carge , so i make this mayment , but nobody tell me , u late charge applicable , present month call confarnce charge & late payment appicalbe .

                          i am customer of IDEA POST PAID MOBILE SERVICE. My phone no. is [protected] i have use 249 combo plan. in this plan 1GB gprs is free for a month and the bill is count in unbilled amount.so that the bill of 1GB gprs is 2097 that included in unbilled amont and the cedit limt is 1000. now my outgoing call are barred due to exeed the credit limt but this is not my fault now my bil is 2107 due to uses of free gprs and company said pay all amount of bill.

                            As mentioned in above sub i had ported out from idea my no is [protected] i had ported out on 1st march but still my no is not ported out from idea my upc code is iz366774 the rules say that after sending a request for port out it will take 7 working days but today their is a 13 th working day but still my no has not ported out.
                            whenever i had called to the care center i got different reason for the same i had called 6 times to the cust care & i had got six different reason first they had told me your from has been rejected reason they don't know secondly they said i had not given request for port out thirdly the said me a complaint mail has been ff to the consult department and you will get replay in next 48 hours but still nobody has called me fifth time they said me that their is a miss called alert facility is activated on your mobile that is why idea is not porting you out the had also deactivated my facility but still it had not ported out sixty time they had said me that our sin ear executive is busy he will call u in 2 hours but still no one had called me. so please give me the actual reason why idea is not porting me out.? because my upc coed will ex pair on 16th of march.
                            this is the last chance to idea to port out my no if today idea will not do so the plz give me the reason why should i not go to the consumer forem court with the same matter.

                                  We are residing at Kalyangarh, West Bengal. For past few years we are using Idea's prepaid connection. We could not use our Idea connection in our locality. All the service providers installed their towers except Idea. There is a tower which has already been installed by idea is situated at the another part of locality. But there is no tower near Kalyangarh More that covers the other part of our locality. Every major providers have installed two towers in both parts of the locality except Idea. Each time we need to come out of our home to get proper signal. Otherwise most of the calls are being disconnected. Most of the time the mobiles show bad signal option. For past few months we are struggling a lot. No action has been taken by Idea. It should be solved immediately. Please take necessary action as early as possible.

                                  Idea mobile and internet is marketing better in comparision to BSNL and others especially in rural areas due to ads by Abhisek Bachan. Offers/ network/ signal strength is far better what I know as I am using Idea Sim


                                  In Odisha and in Dist of Gajapati which is totally rural and tribal but people more than 90% using cell phones. There is a BSNL tower but the maintainance is less and signal is less than 20% round the clock.
                                  I think if Idea Company would like to set up a tower it will do better market

                                  I have a piece of land of about 2800 sqft just out and close to the small town . If company wants to visit and see the location and interested to set up a tower I can provide land.

                                    I first Raised a request for MNP from Idea to Airtel as my company requested to use the data services, I raised a request on 25th and submitted the docs to airtel on 25th feb 2011 and porting process started on 26th and i got an sms from 1901 saying that " request rejected by donor due to there are subsisting contractual obligations from the subscriber agreement". I called up the customer service on 2nd and they said that nothing was there and u will get an call from support for that and u ned to wait for 24 hrs, i waited for 24 hrs no call and so again i called and same answer for an week by calling night and day and on 9th of march in the afternoon they said that ur free to go to any provider, so i asked the airtel guys to start the process and did the same and to day again the request was rejected by idea, when contacted the same answer ur free to go again my mnp expired and requested for a fresh port code and applied for the process, i am idea guy for 11 years and they had my security deposit of 7,100. I dont know why these guys are doing like this and there is no chance of complaning about the customer support to other superior guys. If they r feeling for a customer to port out i ported inn 2 of my airtel numbers to idea, then airtel guys done that to fast why these idea guys are doing like that, and even the service in some of the areas are pathetic and nothing happens calling the customer support, they says problem with ur handset, iam gadget guy changing the handset for every 3 months and my handsets ranges above 25,000 and above. even some of the customer support guys answer very riduculous. How can i go further and complain about these guys to the higher authorities.

After watching some really attractive ad on tv i thought that Idea mobile service will be better for me & i also thought that which type of problem i am facing in bsnl i will not be facing in Idea .. I think Idea has put some robot over there they only can say " WAIT A LITTLE BIT WE WILL DO IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE " . All say that Bsnl is a third grade service but i am saying that Idea has no grade at all .. So Poor Ser vice ....                                         My name is Rajiv Kumar Mobile No is [protected] .
                                        I m having idea connection and Idea is always deducting some amount from my account for the services for which i have never made any request . For the same subject when i am talking to customer care of co. they are not giving the proper reply just repeating one thing that you only made the request to activate these services .
                                        Kindly do the need full .
