I would like to bring to your kind notice about the amount of Mental Agony I am facing after being a loyal customer of IDEA for about 6 years.

I am narrating the whole incident below :

On the 6th day of Feb'11 ( as far as I can remember the date ), I placed a request with IDEA for a GPRS pack of Rs. 12 with a validity of 15 days by dialing the string " *150*12# " . But instead of getting Rs. 12 GPRS pack, my phone got recharged with a Rs 13 GPRS pack with a validity of only 3 days ( which I came to know later ).

After using the GPRS Services for 3 days, when I used the service on the 4th day, My Rs. 95 ( approx.) got deducted for using GPRS for just 4-5 minutes. Luckily I checked my balanced that time and when Rs. 95 ( approx) got deducted in just 4-5 minutes, I disconnected the GPRS. Had I used it for few more minutes, all the balance available in my phone ( Rs. 351) would have gone in vain.

When I complained the same to the customer care executive, he said that for recharging Rs. 12 GPRS pack, the string " *150*12# " which I dialed doesnt' work, Rs. 12 pack can only be activated by dialing 53549.

I agree, but if the string " *150*12# " is invalid, then why the hell my phone got recharged for Rs. 13 pack, this way I could they could activate any plan on my phone and deduct the balance accordingly.

I am calling the customer care executives repeatedly, but not getting the proper response. I even called their Public Grievance Cell on 198, but some lay man registered a wrong complaint.

Every time when I call them, they say my complaint would be resolved within 24 hours, but those 24 hours never come.

Is this the reward of being a Loyal Customer of IDEA for about 6 years ??

Now I want compensation of my balance that was deducted and also the compensation for the mental agony I am facing.

    This is only to bring to your kind notice that my self ( MUKESH KUMAR CHOUDHARY ) prepaid coustoumer of idea telecom .i have face too much of harrasement and financial loss due to poor service of idea telecom.

    almost i am regular coustoumer of idea . 2 or 3 times i received call to sumbit my document . i have sumbit my document all the times .

    on 14oct 2010 i am out of state due to business purpose suddenly i received call that pls sumbit your document .i am not in the city thats why i am unable to sumbit my document company closed my outgoing and incoming .this happen immidate .

    i am not be able to reach my business point at perfect time this cause big financial loss upto 10lacs

    i have balance upto 178rs.when i come back to mumbai first i contact with coustoumer care executive they sugess to refill 10rs voucher and then contact to idea store i do as they have sugessed

    but i did not received possitive reply from idea


    after faceing too much problem now i would like to claim my entire loss on idea
    pls give the needfull sugession to come out from this problem.

      Hi,
      This is Venu Gopal with post paid Idea mobile number [protected]. I have applied for MNP ( Porting Out ) from IDEA to Docomo on 31st January 2011. But till now my service hasnt been ported out. I have called the Idea people regularly for which they told me that I have to clear the unbilled amount. After paying also they havent diconnected the account. So regarding this Iam totally upset with the customer service officials, where they are showing no kind of responsibility on part of their service.

      So kindly want to know what is the next step I can proceed with.

        Dear Sir/Madam,
        I am Ashutosh Agrawal using IDEA PREPAID no [protected] (Hyderabad, AP) for the last 1 yr. I am requesting for MNP (Mobile No. Portabilty) to Airtel. I have applied for Mobile number portability twice. But both time it got rejected due to absurd reasons. First time, I got a message from 1901 that : "Request rejected by donor due to porting code does not match the donor allocated porting code for this number."
        Actually in my case there is no mistake from my side, i have given same unique porting code i recieved from 1901.
        I apllied again and the second time I got a message from 1901 that: “Request Rejected by Donor due to: There are subsisting contractual obligations from the subscriber Agreement and the request for transfer is rejected. Actually in my case there is no contractual obligation with IDEA because I am having a normal prepaid connection.
        They are simply delaying my complaint. Actually MNP is a customer right but here IDEA is denying that right for me.
        I contacted my idea customer care about this issue no one is responding . Please help me or
        I am planning to file a complaint in consumer court and Trai for compensation.

          Sir,

          I have taken a Idea sim, No. [protected] on 31/1/11 and submitted all the documents and photographs on the same date required by the shopkeeper and the shopkeeper(KESARI) also activated the sim immediately but after two days the sim was blocked giving message that the service to this no. is temporary on hold.I visited the shop again then they told me that you have to sumbmit your documents once again without giving any proper reason for the same.I once again given my photograp and zerox of my ration card.From that day I contineously following up with them for the activation of the sim but they are neither responding properly to me nor giving any proper reason.I am feeling so annoyed and hence writing for some immediate action and solution.

            I had purchased Idea Netsetter on 11th feb.
            Although the executive promised speed of 230 kbps, in practice I am only getting 20-30 kbps speed.
            I had complained to Idea and executive had called and asked me to make some minor changes in configuration.
            However, there was no change in speed although network strength is 96-99%. Executive promised to resolve the issue in 2 days but nothing due yet.
            Friends, it is faster and cheaper to use GPRS through mobile handset. Idea Netsetter is a waste of money, please avoid.
            Dear Sir

            My Net an idea of 3g life No. is [protected] and sim no. [protected] I purchased baguiaty kolkata local retailer dated 28/9/2011 and I have recharged Rs.599/- dated 30/09/2011 as sugested by retailer for one month free surfing but within one week my net again hang due to lack of money but I could not dounlod anything exceept surfing. I informed the retailer about this problem but he could not solve the problem and he again sugestesd me for further recharged of Rs.399/- on 08/10/2011 for one month unlimited surfing. But again after three days my net hang I can not do anything.

            I can not understand whats problem going on. So I request you please search the matter and give me suggetion for better working on net.

              sir,
              my mobile number is [protected] .every other day i get a message about activation of ch99 magazine ,which is not deactivated even after several requests. this has been continuing from the past 6 months almost. i have deactivated it several times but i gets constantly activated.i have spent somewhere around almost 100rs. i trust idea cellular and that is why i am still continuing with their service. i have a humble request to the concerned authorities to please deactivate this service from my mobile and and reimburse the lost amount as soon as possible. otherwise this trusted brand will soon lose their customers faith in them.

                Hi,

                IDEA Cellular has stopped me from porting my number to AIRTEL using false claims that my bill has not been paid. Attached are two screen shots taken from Idea cellular websites which display that my last bill was paid on the 10th of FEB.

                My mobile number is [protected], registered in the name of “LT COL B N PANDEY”.

                This has been a number of IDEA CELLULAR, which is now NOT LETTING ME PORT TO ANOTHER SERVICE PROVIDER USING FALSE CLAIMS.
                A few days ago, I had logged a porting request to 1900 to port my number to AIRTEL.

                As required, I paid my outstanding bill of Rs 935.90/- on the 10th of February 2011. (snapshot from IDEA CELLULAR WEBSITE attached with the mail).

                My net-banking account also reflected the same on the 10th and it still does.

                There was no pending bill left with me after this one.
                On February 15th , I have received a message from 1901, that

                “Request Rejected by donor due to: This subscriber has outstanding payments due.”

                I contacted the customer care on the 15th about this and they said that my bill has not yet been paid, even when their website reflected the opposite.
                I wrote a mail to 'ccare.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com' and 'grievance.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com' on the 15th. I did not receive any reply. Then I again mailed them on the 16th and the 17th and never received any reply.

                I called them today (20th FEB) to inquire about the same.
                As per them I have paid my bill on the 15th. BUT THEIR WEBSITE clearly shows that it has been done on the 10th.

                THIS IS INTOLERABLE.

                My form was filled up completely; my outstanding dues have been paid completely.

                I need to port away from IDEA as soon as possible.
                With the worst coverage, pathetic support staff and inflated bills and the only money being spent on abhishek bachchan and never on customers, this is the worst network provider to be in.

                Please help me to get out of this.

                Idea Cellular — FALSE CLAIM

                I am currently using idea gsm connection.one day i received a call from idea representative.he told me that on payment of rs.500,i will get 1000 local min.+300std min+300 sms per month for 1 year.I agreed and made the payment.he gave me receipt and said that it will be activated within 4-6 hours.till now it is not activated and the representative has switched off his mobile phone.his number is [protected] and he said that his name is nitin.
                I want you to take some action beacause the company is shirking its responsibility.

                co. like idea have left no sensitivitty or professionalism towards thier customer. i am undergoing the most irritating experience of my life.
                i have pasted the letter which i wrote to them....

                Dear Sir/Madam,
                i am usng idea prepaid since last 4 yrs.
                With my usage, i was offered post paid plans without disclosing that verification would be done. since we both r working, nobody is at home. i was migrated from pre to post and my services (outgoing calls and msgs) disconnected immediately citing negative verification on sat 23 june 2012.
                Subequently i kept trying to call idea care but nobody answred till monday morning. then i gave a time for verification between 10am to 12 noon for tuesday 26 june by taking half day leave. Inspite of the time given i had to wait for the verification till evening 6pm. verification was done and still my services r not restored.
                I am frustated with this casual attitude of yours towards customers. in last 4 days i might have soken to atleast dozen customer executive of yours, but all in vain. i feel i was happy with my prepaid and should not have fallen prey to your stupidity by accepting your postpaid offer. i don't know what to do now, should i continue watiting for the service and be at your mercey or change to another service through portability. but i was told even that will not b allowed for another 90days. anyways, it won't make any difference you by loosing 1 customer.
                I have undergone a mentle trauma from u people, which at any cost is not justified.
                Still waiting for someone from idea who has any sensitivity left for customers like me. or else u r leaving me no option but to take this matter to consumer grievance.

                  I have an idea mobile no., i had activated the unlimited blackberry plan of Rs 599 in the month of December, so I thought that all my internet usage will be free without caring about the browser. So i browsed internet on Idea browser, so i got an excess bill of Rs. 1400 and a total of Rs 2940. my credit limit is Rs 2600, still i paid a total bill of Rs 2940. 19 jan, and on the same day in the morning i saw an extra unbilled amount of approx Rs7000 and they deactivated my outgoing after that on calling the call centre as to why the bill is so much they said they can’t help us or even tell us the reason of the bill amounting Rs7000. I went to their centre at tilak road, Pune, even they couldnt tell me the reason for the bill being so high and told to wait for the next billing cycle. i then went to the main office at bhandarkar road, after waiting for about an hour and a half my no. came. and they said i used their internet option i.e. i connected my phone to my laptop to use internet, which i did not, i had used an blackberry app. downloaded form the blackberry app world. a friend again on 26 jan went to them with a letter that i wasn't informed of any extra charges while activating the service nor have they written anything on the form while activating the blackberry even at that time my friend took about 3 hours at the centre. and no one was ready to help us they showed us a mail and said the rules are on the website.( I couldn’t find anything on the website and even the website hasn’t been updated). my billing cycle is on the 5th of every month but on the 3rd of feb they even deactivated my incoming calls and activated them again on the 5th or 6th. I have had great problems with my outgoing service being banned.. firstly they should have deactivated my services before only when my bill amounted Rs.2940. they also said that credit limit is only for bill on the outgoing call not internet, then why did they deactivate my services when the bill was approx Rs7000 because it was mainly internet usage. they have harassed me a lot. wasted so many hours of mine and even being a businessman hampered my business to a great extent. i would even like to claim compensation form Idea cellular. Later i even asked services provider like airtel and aircel, they said on a plan of Rs 599, they have no more extra charges even if we connect it to the computer for internet. This is UNLIMITED internet.
                  I have been using the idea no. for the past 2 years, and not even a single delay in the payments in the 2 years.
                  Get back to me ASAP.

                  Idea Cellular — Blackberry Extra Charges

                  I am Gaurav KArve and my mobile number is [protected] and I had opted for Idea Blackberry Rs. 599/- unlimited plan but when i received my first bill there was a charge of Rs936.32 of GPRS on my account. When checked with them they said that it was my fault that i had used the WAP browser. Now the WAP browser that is provided in BB phones is hidden and the only WAP settings are from IDEA FRESH. The BB settings on my phone were checked by their BB reps and i was informed that the settings were proper. later i had a word with Asif Choudhary whom i conferenced with their BB tech and he said that the settings were not proper and he helped me with some more settings. I also received a call from their BB rep named Vimal who on checking with there team informed me that I can disable the IMIS and the feature o[censored]sing the phone as a modem. Now that i have placed this request there is no response from their team.

                  Adding to this their payment that i had made (which i had agreed for) was not reflecting in their details.

                    Idea Net Setter is not working morn then 1 month in Jaipur ( Civil Lines and Malviya Nagar ) and after so many complains sent to them by phone/e-mail/Courier but till today problem is not solve even thay are not admitting problem with there network.

                    Even in Jaipur Rajasthan no a single responaible person to postive atttitude.

                    Hi i am also using IDEA Net setter at Moga, Punjab India... and the speed is pathetic.. download speed is always 0kbps... i purchase it like 8-9 months back, initial 2-3 months it was good but now its its pathetic... hardly loads any web page... planing to shift back to BSNL broadband that works fine.
                    If the IDEA pple can resolve my problem then please revert ...

I would like to notice my issue regarding network in my place. iam currently using idea connection. Here we are facing a big problem of network conjestion. From 7.00 pm - 9.00 pm i cant able to make calls because of this high network conjestion. so please tackle tis problem as early as possible.....

                      Idea — no range

                      now in my mobile handset using idea network no range at all..internet connection is very slow .no clarity in making calls.please clear my connection problem

                        I'd Purchased My Idea number I.e 991400***7 . i'd Submit all my Necessary Documents, but Agent Didnt mention my correct address in my SAF Form. Due to this my verification goes negative. after that again i'd submitted my new documents and proof. its been more then 1 month and 15 days.. my number is still barred .. Nodal officer is refused to activate my number. My current monthly bill is 150 rupees and i didnt Give a Single call to anyone. I told the idea retailer to Please refund my money they said... your Security is merged with your current bill.. Please tell me.. what can i do now?

                          This is Deepak Kumar muarya from Allahabad, i buy a net setter(3G) of idea and also have a connection of Idea but there is a too bad network they provide always and for that i get very much loss of my works and also i waste of my money in this company.

                          So, please do the proper action and solve my problem please.

                          Idea Net Setter — bad voice & video connectivity

                          i have taken net setter before 4 days.i have complained about bad voice & video connectivity to ideaa dealer... but i did not get any responce....plz solve our problem...if you are not able to solve our problem,then refund our net setter amount & stop our net setter plan.....
                          yes i have this problem for poor network . please do the proper action

                            wrong deduction of amount from account balance
                            yesterday (17 feb'11),ni made a recharge of rs100 & browse net for a very small amount of time,but for this time i charged approx rs80, when i made call to enquire about it nobody from idea customer care was giving me the correct information one person name deepak told me that my balance was deducted for internet browsing, other guy name ankit n shushant told me that no balance deducted from my account but not able to give reason why my balance was showing less than required, when again i called idea customer care then they told that they atre not having details of my account deduction,so i am completely dissatisfied by idea service this issue was repeated several times with my number but never resolved, only refused allways, so i request you to please help me for resolving this issue, if i can raise an FIR regarding this matter then please suggest me because every time idea is having same issue with my account but people are having good relation with idea, so please made a higher step to resolve my issue, i am comlpletely dis-satisfied with idea & also want that this type of issue will not to be faced by any other customer.

                              hi my name is prashant sinha.right now i have deactivated the internet connection in my mobile.i had downloaded the game in my mobile but game are not completed down loaded in my mobile. i have deleted the game and disconnected the internet but 5 rps per day is charges from my mobile.i m upsets n losing my 5 rps every day.pls take action and disconnect the game other wise i will disconnect the this number.my no is [protected]. pls pls

                                SUB: NOTICE BEFORE FILING CONSUMER COMPLAINT

                                My name is Udit having IDEA PREAPAID no.[protected] from last 1 year. Due to poor network i want to port my number from idea to Airtel.
                                On 20th January, I have messaged PORT [protected] to 1900 and received a message from 1901 that my UPC is IGPQW316. After that on 21.01.2011 I have submitted the required form, verification ID and photograph at AIRTEL store.
                                On 01.02.11 I received a message from 1901 that "Request Rejected by Donor due to: The Porting code does not match the Donor allocated Porting Code for this number.” I visited IDEA RELATIONSHIP CENTER at BARODA, firstly they tried to convince me to stay with Idea, but I was definite to port out and i requested them to look into the matter. After long conversation they said that this must be due to some technical reasons and I should again sms PORT 1900 and get my porting code and visit AIRTEL store again and submit the documents again. I submitted the documents again on 08/02/2011. But on 11/02/2011, I got the same message from 1901 saying that “Request Rejected by Donor due to: The Porting code does not match the Donor allocated Porting Code for this number. Then I was suggested by AIRTEL to generate new UPC CODE and to submit the documents again.
                                On 12/02/2011, I again messaged PORT [protected] to 1900 and this time the UPC CODE from 1901 was IG595677.
                                NOW on 17.01.11 I got the same message from 1901 saying that “Request Rejected by Donor due to: The Porting code does not match the Donor allocated Porting Code for this number.
                                I called IDEA CUSTOMER CARE NO. [protected], but they didn't helped me and said they cannot do anything and they do not have any details regarding this and I have to process my request again to port in from IDEA to AIRTEL... Please suggest me what to do in this case? If you are saying the porting code which I generated twice doesn’t match to what you have in your system, please tell me the correct code? I know that the codes I have generated were correct and also in the form the filled the correct codes. How many times I need to generate new UPC CODE and resubmit my documents?
                                This is the last time, i am requesting you to take action on it and if my problem persists, I am ready to file a complaint with the CONSUMER FORUM as I am protected under the CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT of 1986.

                                The consumer complaint will be at your cost and expenses, and I will seek compensation for the mental agony caused due to the deficiency in your services.

                                    I dont know here i can get resolution or not, but having faith that may be this site work for our help.

                                    I have idea connection from the last 6 year, from the 2 month they are activated fake service and deducted my Balance. I have requested two times in month Jan, to deactivate. they said yes.

                                    Then in feb again deducted my amount. So i called up call center and person said, please talk to my senior Saroj. She is working in Idea call center.
                                    I requested her and explain everythng what happen last month and now again this month amount deducted so please post my request for refund. but she trying to forcing that we can not refund.then i asked why last month you commited and service still up.

                                    Then she speaking loud and say we can not answer your question then i said write my another complain all about this communication.. but she Said we can not write your complain and we are going to cut your call .

                                    That was very rude from IDEA. my number :[protected]

                                    Communication date 18 Feb morning around 9 AM.

                                    Communicated with Senior : Saroj Idea call center. ( Very rude girl)

                                    is anybody can see that idea doing cheating.. and also if on call center they are deducted 30 P per 3 min for communication they how they can not write our complain.

                                      I am the owner of the no. [protected].

                                      I have made two attempts for the PORT out. 1st time it was rejected due to the outstanding. 2nd time till now no reason given to me. Yesterday was the 7th day as they say that it takes maximum 7 days for the procedure. Had received many calls from the retention department. Have clearly mentioned that I dont want to use Idea services any more. Have called the call center people more that 7 times. Have logged the complaints. I have sent the complaint via mail to the following email ids:
                                      1st - grievance.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com
                                      2nd - appellate.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com
                                      3rd - ccare.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com
                                      Till now I have not received any response from any help desk. As I think they are just fond of sitting around and do nothing. Would anybody care for this and give a helping hand.

                                      I gave the port out request from IDEA and immediatly filled form for porting in to airtel by entering the received code. The same UPC code which received at that time is mentioned on the form. I have SMS in my inbox but now after 4 days I got first SMS from 1901 that request for porting your number to aitel has been received and your application is received. After 2 minutes I got the messege hat the request is denied by your service provide due to wrong UPC code. Kindly raise fresh porting request. This is third time I am raising porting request and denied with some invalid reasons. This is just a gameplan as I searched google and got to know that there are thousands of people who suffered like me. Idea should be fined for this.
                                      I requested for detail bill for the month on Dec-2012 and Jan-2013 on 12th, Feb-2013 but till now I didn’t have the detail bill. Every time they sent an email with Normal bill with bill amount only. I escalated twice they apologies and promise that they will send an email to back end team for processing the request but I never ever get any help from any one. One of the supervisors from Customer care suggested going to any Idea store and they will give the bill by charging rs 25/- so I went to Begum pet Idea store and even there I got disappointment. They inform me that details bill will be provided only at head office at basheer bagh. When I went to basheer bagh Head office they say that the can only mail me the copy and they will expedite the request and I should get it with an hour. I updated them that from many days they are trying to send the bill and I am getting there emails but it doesn’t contain itemized bill. I found LADY SUPERVISOR was very rude to me I got serious there and said to them that I need the bills now because I am waiting from almost 45 days. Still they ignored my request and repeating the same thing. I thought it would better to wait and I left from there. They sent me an email with same normal bill and there is not details bill attached in it. This is going from very long and every one is giving me run around and no solution. Hope that u can do something.
