Plz stop sms coming from 53131 since 2 to 3 month....
ON 8-9-09 I Mr floyd fernandez at hubli having my moble number [protected] sent some sms to number [protected]. Subsequently the sms"s reached the number, but got a call from mobile number [protected] saying that he received my sms"s. I do not know the person nor have his number in my mobile.
Hence I would like to know if any such messages from my mobile number [protected] has EVER been sent to mobile number [protected]. Please do let me know about this complaint at the earliest as I am feeling very uneasy about the matter.

    I would like to bring to light the plight that I have gone through since the time I bought the IDEA Net Setter USB Stick from IDEA sector 22,Chandigarh showroom. My son was doing an internship in Dehradun and needed a net connection there. For this very purpose, being a very old customer of IDEA, I went for this connection. But before purchasing, I asked the incharge at the sector 22 showroom whether it would work fine in Dehradun to which he replied in the positive. Since then began an epic of trouble. The speed that my son got was no where close to what had been promised, but still I never complained about that. After the first two months, the stick stopped working. Talking for hours to the customer care executives availed no help at all. I had to visit the showrooms (both sector 22 and 35) repeatedly. Moreover, IDEA charged me a whopping sum of around 1500 rupees for data charges, as the stick wasn't functional at all. Talking to the showroom employees was an effort that went down the drain as the head at your sector 35 showroom kept on calling them for gossiping. I was greeted with this scene whenever I went there. This was a real shock to me as gossip was their main work, and customer attendance came much down the line.

    Recently, this exceeded all limits when they cut my Chandigarh Postpaid connection. Now, what I'd like to point out here is that I am probably amongst the oldest customers of Idea in India. My Idea Postpaid connection (formerly Spice) dates back to 2003, just about when cell phones were introduced in India. I have been a loyal customer since then and have never even thought of reverting to a different service provider. So this decision to cancel my outgoing due to a completely different internet issue came as a shock to me.

    My faith and loyalty in this telecom service is at stake here. As much as I do not want to change to a different provider, I might be forced to do so in the light of this behavior. As IDEA is known for its good management at the top levels, I would be highly grateful to you if they look into this matter at the earliest.

      From 1/3/2011, I was receiving SMS's titled love tips from a number 56056 . Daily I got an SMS, which I did not bothered about.But whenever I reacharged my mobile no the money vanished with in a day as my mobile no have a dialer tone I thought the money went for that ,but soon I realised that whenever I reacharged the money was disappearing .So today I talked with the coustomercare executive who told me that I was being charged RS10/week for those love tip SMS's which I have not requested to any body, for this she told me that I Have responded to the first lovetip SMS by opening it and reading it,that's why they send me this charged SMS's. I could not understant how reading an SMS that I got will be a concent for somebody to send me charged SMSs

        dear sir,

        i miss sunny chandiramani frm mumbai who has started using ur service since oct 25th ma bday...it was ma gift to maself...but a sad gift n worst mistake ever made...

        on 8th of jan i got an sms around 7am ( checked later around 10 am ) askin me to make interim payment of rs.1341.88 immediately to avoid discontinuation of service...but sadly wen i checked this sms around 10 am within 3 hrs ma service was already discontinued.wen called n asked to ur customer care i was informed dat der was series of call n sms send to me..which i wonder how come i never received any other den just one sms on 8th morning...

        8th morning...7am i is this de tym u notify to ur customers...n even i[censored] notify u dnt give tym atleast the shop to open to make de payment dat by 10 am ma services was completly shut...(need answers )

        well neverthe less still i made the payment of rs.2000 online...for amount of rs 1341.88 on sat thru sbi bank..trans no-IB04663351..dat means xtra amount of money given to u ppl so dat ma service starts n de remeaining amt can be adjusted...n i was informed dat ma service shud start in 2-4 hrs on sat.....n today is monday 21:oo hrs its still not started...

        not only dat i made xtra payement of rs more 2000 rs today .trans no-IB04653777.dat means MORE xtra given to u pppl for the phathetic servic rendered....

        its been 3 days ma service has been barred...n i ve lost all patience n so ve filed a complaint

        i own 3 idea connection which was on the name of kk shaji bearing number [protected] from 2008 april. i had given a request to discontinue this number [protected] in that week itself and i didnt buy that simcard number but still am paying fixed monthly charges from 2008 april.2 years is over now.due to this am facing more problems.i spoke to some customer care of post paid and office in chalakudy in thrichur.i amnot able to pay every month service charge again otherwise i have to cancel my other 2 idea connections.i dont understant why these people are not taking it in seriously.am paying everymonth service charge without getting simcard.pls take an immediate response.really it gives the bad impression to the customer and image of the company.

        i am using idea post paid since 3 months, on[protected] i called customer care to enquire about idea internet and activated 2gb 2g data plan i asked him is any extra charges for browsing in other state he said that no sir browse internet where u get idea signal then after one day morning my sim is not working i contacted nearest idea care in kerala she told me that due to the credit limit your services stoped and she told me that we are not able to increase the credit limit please contact your circle customer care, and i contacted with [protected] he told me that paty 250 within 24 hrs you serices has been activated i paid first 300 and icalled customer care she is told me that your credit limit is 250 rupees only pay the total balance after that the service will acive i paid again 1000 and informed to the customer care he told me that wait a minute i will check it after 2 minutes the call is disconnected the service is not activated till from past 4 days to till iam not getting any responce please to do needful to me

          Now i have paid 600.00 Rs. and they have given me wrongly bill 801.00. when i make call IVR says that pay your bill other wise service has been tamper. Some days before one of the per called me name was Ashis from IDEA corprate office noida. I told him hole story but since no reply. Please helppppppppppppp.

              Idea is the most corrupt and useless cellular service in india. My no. Was charged first for ch99 magazine (Re 1 daily) and then for voice chat (Rs 5 daily) for around 45 days before i figured it out.. I have no idea of these services and have never applied for them. On contacting the worst customer care, i was told that i had applied for these. When asked for a proof, they had none. Furthermore, even after a request it wasnt deactivated and the deductions continued.

              On purchasing a simcard, my inbox ws flooded with idea sms and i dailiy recieved promotional calls from them, which was none less than a harrassment. Moreover they activated useless vas services without my consent.

              I strongly recommnend never ever to go far an idea connection. They are corrupt, follow unethical practices, their customer service sucks...

                sir i brought three number of idea[protected],[protected],[protected] from G-life idea cellular ltd which address is A-3/29,Frist Floor,sector-5 rohini,delhi-110085 tel:45038837,[protected] on dated 1.03.2011which receipt no.17673,17674,17672.each and every number cost me 250. frist mr. abisike g- me regarding these number and said to me to activate these number. after thad some mr. balkishan called mr. abisik and offer him huge money .then again mr. abisek called me and tell me that he could not activate my no. because the area where i reside is high risk profile area .and mr . balkishan is also reside in the same village and he activate one of my no. on the name of hin .so i requesting you to do action against the agency. regards sunil kumar

                    we had raised MNP requests to portout our numbers to vodaforn 3 times. In first 2 instants IDEA has rejected the requests by saying the reason " contractual obligation". After that we had settled all commercial issues & changed the bill plan as guided by them. And they have verbally committed that now there is no obligations to porting out the numbers. Accordingly we raised the MNP request once again, but they cheated us & rejected it again requests with new UPC code also by saying the reason“ the porting code does not matching the donor allocated porting code for this number”, and we found the UPC number quoted in rejection message was the old one. When we asked IDEA personal who is handling corporate accounts about the same, they simply said they have no idea that how it happened.

                    IDEA people are always serching for new excuses to stop/rejecting porting out the
                    numbers to other service providers.

                    If they have no IDEA about, what they are doing & how resolve these type of issues, they shoud have stop/withdraw advertising “ An IDEA can change the life” & What an IDEA sirji”

                    Pls. help us to portout our company mobile numbers to vodafone at the earlist.

                    Also you are requested to do the needfull to ban the advertisement from the market.

                    in your letter head duly signed/sealed by the authorized signatory clearly saying that

                    there is no contractual obligation, no payment dues, no objection to port out the numbers.

                    But IDEA has not yet taken any positive action on it ever after all commercial issues has been settled &

                    not providing NOC for port out the numbers. When we talk with your officials they are simply saying

                    “ No idea” about the obligations & searching new excuses to reject our MNP requests.



                    If IDEA people doesn’t have any idea about the obligations they are having, then they should stop

                    advertising “ An IDEA can change the life” & What an IDEA sirji”



                    If they are giving this type of response to a corporate customer, then what will be the response they

                    are giving to individuals?



                    You are requested to take the necessary action & help us to port out our numbers to Vodafone at the earliest.



                    For further reference, pls. find the scanned copy of payment receipt / Cheque / No due certificate received against

                      But sorry to say you guys instead of several reminders still my problem of no outgoing calls during roaming keep on persisting.
                      As i am holding a reputive position in my organization, so its really a big threat for my business.
                      So guys this is my final & last reminder, better to say warning to get resolve the issue.


                      After 24 hours we are going to discontinue all of yours Idea connection from our organization with Black listed remark for future 5 years.

                        I, Partha Pratim Mallik, would like to inform you that my number, has been ported out to Aircel, without my consent and the current owner claims to be Mr. Ravi. I do not know him at all, apart from the fact that he claims to be the rightful owner of the number. Incidentally, I have been using this number since 2006, as evident from the following details:

                        Customer Name: Partha Pratim Mallik
                        Number Activation Date: 07/12/2006
                        Mobile No: [protected]

                        I understand that to port a number to a new network provider, one has to send an sms, PORTOUT to 1900, from his own number. Consequently, a UPC code is generated, which has to be submitted to the new connection provider, that one wishes to switch to. Additionally, the number cannot to be ported to another network service provider if there is an outstanding (billed/unbilled) pending with the current service provider. Also, a change in the ownership of the number requires suitable documents from both the original and the prospective owners.

                        Surprisingly, neither have I sent any such sms, nor have I shown any interest to port my number. To add to my confusion, a stranger is using this number without any substantial document submission from my end. I still have a pending unbilled amount of 1308.01 in my account.

                        Before I seek your assistance, it would not be out of place here to inform you that I have already spoken to the Idea customer care time and again, for some solution or logical explanation, which was completely futile. Exhausted I now write to you. My consecutive mails and calls to the IDEA Nodal Officer, Ms. Padmavathi, has also yielded no result.

                        I have had to suffer losses both on the personal and professional front, since this number has been used by me for the past 6 years and is as good as a part of my identity.

                        The following is the latest response received on Sat, Mar 12, 2011 at 6:00 PM:

                        We regret the inordinate delay in replying to your mail.

                          I would like to bring to kind notice that as per your requirement, I have already submitted the Driving License and Gas Connection Document for identify proof and address proof respectively to your Sales Executive in person.
                          On further request raised by you, I have also forwarded you the scanned copy of the Rental agreement to the aforesaid mailing address.
                          According to me, the documents are sufficient valid documents for re-activating my connection which was disconnected wrongly by you.
                          While obtaining a prepaid connection, I submitted valid address proof and identification Proof, based on which you have activated my connection. Now on converting this connection from prepaid to postpaid, you are again said us to submit the address proof and I.D proof for your verification, which was duly comply by me.
                          After few Days, my connection was deactivated without any proper intimation, in writing for stating the reasons for deactivation.
                          Now on fulfilling all your demand relating to the documents, my idea number is still deactivated which is causing a great inconvenience to me.
                          On[protected], your customer care cell called me to resubmit the Identification proof which I have already submitted in the form of Driving License. This is really causing a great inconvenience/harassment.

                          Please find the attached mail of Rental Agreement Scanned and send to you as per your advice.



                          I think the Issue has not yet been resolved, it will get resolved once you activate my number and also please let me know that who is the responsible person for my barred of Incoming and Outgoing calls.



                          As per your executive Mr Jayaramu I have submitted all the documents he wanted to activate.



                          He asked me the below documents:-



                          1. Two Sets of Passport size photo.

                          2. ID Proof and

                          3. Address Proof.



                          Photo and ID Proof was ok but as a Address proof I had only Gas bill and I confirmed with him and he said it is ok he can take it as a supporting document.



                          But two days later when I got a message as my Outgoing call is going to get barred at that time itself I called him and asked what is the matter, why it is going to get barred he told me that his executive has lost my Address proof that’s why He requested to me that once again I need to scan and send it to his mail ID and immediately I did it.



                          Next day morning he called me and said that he is sending his executive as he needed a hard copy with my siganature I did that one too and I confirmed with him that when my outgoing call will be activated he said with in 24 hours.



                          But after 24 hours when I checked it was not activated and I called him but he dint picked up my call, After some time I called him from different number he picked and said some story and when I asked him when it is going to get activated he said I need to write a letter, scan and send it to him and even that I did, but it was all no use.



                          Finally, as he was not answering to my call I wrote a mail to him but he dint replied for my mail also.



                          Please let me know in the above scenario what was my mistake so that you barred my Incoming and Outgoing for which I have suffered a lot.



                          In any case I don’t wanted my number to get de-activated as it is my business number and it wouldn’t have been if your executive have communicated to me properly.



                          Please do let me know the reason and also please please activate my number ASAP.

                          Can you help me to solve the below issue.



                          As the below person is not at all responding to my mails nor attending the calls of mine.



                          I have migrated my number from pre paid plan to post paid plan.



                          Activation of post paid plan was successful but after two days my outgoing calls has been barred.



                          When I asked him the reason he said that his executive has written my previous address instead of current address and he requested to scan and re-send him a current address proof as a supporting doc I have scanned my current Address gas bill and sent to him.



                          Next day he called me and said he need a hard copy as verification team is not agreeing with the soft copy, I said ok and he sent his executive and I have submitted him the hard copy with my signature.



                          I have scanned and the address proof and sent him on 16-sep-2010.



                          And I have submitted a hard copy to his executive on 17-sep-2010.



                          But till know my outgoing has not got activated but with addition to that, on 21-Sep-10 my incoming call also got deactivated without any information to me and know I have the sim which is of no use and I am not getting any kind of responses from your executive.



                          When I am calling to your customer care executive they are not ready to register a complaint and neither they are giving any kind of request number, they are just saying that contact with that concerned person and that person is not at all picking the call of mine nor responding to my mail.



                          Please help and activate my outgoing and Incoming call as soon as possible I am very much need of it and I am suffering as my outgoing and incoming calls are deactivated.



                          Please do the need full and get back to me if you need any kind of further assistance from end.

                            Today I called customer care (198). Both time I got response that 101 recharge is FRC call and I will not get benefit since I am old customer. When I asked to provide the escalation authority details, call was disconnected 2 times during transfer.

                            If there is any fault in IN software being used by IDEA, which is not able to identify the FRC call and behave accordingly (Either provide the balance or reject the non-FRC calls), why should customer is loosing money?

                            Please guide me how to file a case against IDEA PREPAID, since I am not going to take rest without getting my money back.

                              Hi,

                              I had activated my DND registry to prevent any unsolicited msgs and calls to my number wasy back in july 2009. for 2 yrs there were no problems when all of a sudden i started gettin a deluge of msgs starting january 2011. The biggest culprit of crime was Idea itself with its numerous recharge options. Other offenders were batrasclinic, real estate ads, job sites n wot not.

                              all these happened inspite of me being registered in DND.

                              I called the customer service and was told that i was actually not registered for DND as per their records and that i have to re-register again. Even though i asked them to atleast stop Idea recharge msgs, they said for that too i have to wait for 45 days. I made numerous calls to the customer care, asked for senior personnel to talk to regarding my calls, but iwas always kept on hold and eventually put down. to add to the insult, each time my calls to the customer care got over, i woud get atleast 7-10 msgs immediately.

                              having no choice, I still registered for DND again on 23rd january 2011, and called repeatedly to know the status of the complaint. After 45 days, when the msgs still did not stop, i was told that my DND request will be re inititated on 16th march 2011 and will be reactivate after 3 more weeks. ie 8th april, 2011.

                              All this while i continue to receive odd msgs from numerous advertisers, who are surely payin Idea for it, at my expense.

                              This is gross injustice on part of Idea which has:
                              1. shown negligence on their part to ask me to re register for DND again, inspite of it being registered in 2009.
                              2. sending the max possible spam msgs themsleves
                              3. promising stoppage of msgs by 45 days, and still asking me to wait for another 3 weeks.

                              This is not the only complaint i have with idea. There were times my ppl were not able to send msgs to me, nor wud my calls get connected the first time(esp STD, one had to call me twice atleast), also was fraudulently led to pay 500 rs for conversion to postpaid plan by some fraudster using Idea docs. But Idea only provided lip service and took no action to prevent other consumers like me who were being duped.

                              I am extremely disappointed with Idea, its service, its customer call centre attitude and will be droping its service as soon as possible. The only reason of not shifting all this while was I was waiting for MNP. I also vow never to use Idea again and will appeal to others not to use as well. Idea should learn that customer service ideals shudnt be restricted to TV ads alone. Hope AB n Kapil Dev read this before making claims on behalf of Idea.

                                1) I have not subscibed any type of valu added pack like cricket pack but in my prepaid connection.[protected] . idea service provider has automatically activate such pack. without my instuction & my knowledge.& daily cut RS.5 from my main balance.


                                2)same like above i had activate gprs pack rs 14.for 3days /&500mb free .again idea has deducted my main balance on 19 /03/2011 time 21.33.08 .for useing of gprs. for which ihad already activate my gprs pack & i already paid for the scheme.after that idea deducted my main balance.

                                3) there is no meaning for idea 198 compliant no. because you can not even lodge your compliants.


                                4) & also no meaning for idea 12345 help line but one thing is definately say that you waiste your money & time by calling 12345 customer care because they charge RS.

                                Idea Prepaid — activation of services automatically

                                my mobile no. is [protected]. on my phone there is some services which is automatically activated and charges also deducted . i have deactivated these services so many times but these are again activated and balanced deducted. 500rupees has been charged since two month. ppppplz deactivated all these services and refund my all money .
                                otherwise i will go to the consumer court.

                                  Idea Mobile - [protected] (Prepaid Customer - Outgoing Barred) - From 10th March 2011.

                                  Reason: Identity proof - Not submitted (Govt new regulation). Got SMS alerts as well.
                                  Note: I took this connection in 2007 after submitting all the required proof & this connection was active for approx 4 years.

                                  I am always ready to submit the required proofs (soft copy / hard copy), but need an assurance that again resubmissions of proof will not be repeatedly asked by Idea next time for this connection - [protected].
                                  If this is repeated next time - Idea needs to show me the proofs that I had submitted earlier (during taking the connection & also resubmissions done hence forth) & a valid reason - why those proofs are not accepted?

                                  1. Idea has to keep the customer documents safe, rather than requesting for the same again after 3-4 years time o[censored]sage.

                                  2. If this is govt new rule this has to be applicable for other service provider’s as well.
                                  I have other connections taken for spouse & parents (Airtel, Reliance, Videocon etc) which does not ask for such resubmission of proof.

                                  3. Idea nearest showroom / retail shop should accept the proof & activate the connection immediately, rather than communicating to customers that the connection will be activated after 72 hours.

                                    dear idea,
                                    i am Akash Shah my idea mobile no. is [protected] prepaid connection MP ,Ujjain, i used this sim last in jan 2011 as i moved to Bangalore for the period from 29 Dec 2010 Because of nature of my duty other state works, but when i used sim 18march2011 the sim registration is failed. when i logged a complaint against it ,they said the sim services can,t be restored. i asked for my balance in it ? they said it is impossible to refund this too.                                     I didnt use my idea sim for about 3 months ..... now when i put sim its showing sim registration failed..... now when i called to my idea num someone is picking the call... i think my num is recycled..... but i had about 200rs currency in it... when i contacted idea center to reactivate my num or else transfer my balance to my other idea num they told its not possibe .... we cant do anything now...... but my question is my sim was a life time sim then how come they recycled it without any intimation?????? plz help
