I bought an Idea net setter recently. This is all cheating to their customer because its speed is too slow I will suggest other people to no buy this damn cuboid.
i purchased idea net setter.it shows 99% signal strength.but speed is very slow.net speed is less than 30 kpbs.whay will do.i fed up with this.
i got idea net setter speed of 256kbps but the is about only 2kbps to 5kbps a very slow speed of this net setter takes more time to poen the page

The system is absolutely oversubscribed and the only time I ever get over 25kbs is in the middle of the night when it goes over 100kbs. The advertise speeds up to 256kbs, which is false advertisement. They have sold too many memberships to support the bandwidth they offer.
idea have a very bad customer care.
we have no facitliy for anything nt even they have any toll free number for there customer care.and they also don't have any online complaint option where we can complaint this company is making fool to everyone.

idea netsetter is really a bad gadget.there customer care executive told, it will get the speed of 60-70KBPS.but am not getting atleast 10KBPS.sometimes it wont connect.really mney wasting one.

    this is to be taken care of by idea cellular for there improper service .My mobile number is [protected]
    I had activated GPRS service of Idea. This month on 3dec i asked contact center to deactivate my 25rs unlimited rental plan. and the every next day morning again i called up and to continue the services.They said, they will try to re-activate the service and asked me to call them at around 3-4pm to check the status. ( IDEA HAS A VERY STRANGE WAY OF REACHING CONTACT CENTER. WE CAN REACH THEM ONCE IN ONE DAY.THOUGH THEY SAY 3TIMES IN A DAY)
    As i was done with one call in the morning i wasnt able to reach them to know the status and on the day in the evening i got deducted with 25rs as daily rental.I thought they might have re-activated my services, but on 5dec when i was using internet my 250rs got deduted saying due to browsing and downloading.and GPRS service hasnt activated.

    They i called contact center they said that the request is still under process and it is IDEA's mistake of deducting balance as i was in 25rs unlimited rental plan.
    i spoke to almost all the supervisors and team leaders . to name Sandhya, Shabana, Srikant, Ahmed, Razak, Vijaya, Ranjeet.

    Everyone assured me about balace refund. but when i call them everyday i used to get a new answer from each TL or supervisor saying you have been charged for browsing. and when they again cross check, they would assure to refund the balance in an hour.This thing is going on since 8dec and till date nothing worked out.

    They always say, you will get a confirmation message about activation or deactivation of services, which absolutely crap. They themselves dont have clear picture about there own services.

    Forget about general counter staff even supervisors and Team Leader dont have correct information to pass on to customer and if you miss that call thats it ...you have to wait an other day to reach them or have to search for other idea number to call them ...
    This is not the first time am facing this problem, several times i had same issue with them and fed up of IDea so moved to someother network.

    SUCH A IDIOTIC SERVICE IS GIVEN BY IDEA PEOPLE. THAT IS THE REASON IDEA STANDS VERY LOW. THEY ARE LEAST BOTHERED ABOUT CUSTOMERS ISSUES.

    Idea — Deduction of balance amount without intimation.

    My idea mobile No is [protected]. My complaint is that idea is deducting amount on daily basis(Rs.5 per day from 19 August 2010 to 26 August 2010). When i noticed this and called idea customer care and complined about this. They(Idea customer care) are saying that i have sent some message for activating some XYZ Service for which they are deducting this amount on daily basis. But in realty i did not send any SMS or knew about the service they are saying. I had checked even my sent items box but could not find any proof. This is not the first time it happened. This is the 5th time that this issue happened to me. Everytime i called Idea customer care and complained / warn they tell the same story that i sent them SMS request for activating the service about which i am not aware. But truth is that i never sent any SMS or pressed any button to activate any such type of service.

    I request you help me in this regard and do justice for me and punish the culprits for this problem.

      i had not got my money back through online recharge.and my balance is deducted from my SBI DEBIT CARD.

        Hello Sir,

        I own an Idea number..........On 11th December it's validity was getting over.......So i had called Idea customer care for recharge options......then from there i got to know that by doing the recharge of Rs. 349/- i would get 1 year validity and a talk time of Rs.250/- for I-card Active Plan.............so, considering it as an authentic information i recharged the idea card with Rs. 349/-.......but doing so i didn't got talk time of Rs. 250/- and got validity of 6 months only..........So, I would like to get some help from you.

          I have taken Idea Sim card Number is [protected].One week it was working as usual. But now we are unable to call frm this number and also we are not receive any calls as we are getting the message as " this number is on temporarly on hold". I have submitted all the corret and valuable documents. Could you please chech this and help me out..

The concern representative told me that the connection is activated on Monday 13.12.2010 but till date it is not activated. Please help on this situation.           My calls are on hold unable tp solve this issue
          Even mine is the same problem, whenever someone calls it keeps on saying my no. is temporarily on hold, please my solve my issue.

            I had given the application for conversion on 07/12/09 ant 2.00 PM. But till date there is no activation of the prepaid number.
            I contacted the myidea shop and also the customer care but there is no satisfactory response.
            The time shown for activation was escalated 4 times. So would you please check if anything can be done.

            Or any miracle can resolve the issue. The service from the call centre was very bad and they are not able to provide anything and same is the response from
            Myidea showroom (Near Sector – 7) Gurgaon.

            Hopefully waiting for some response.

            This is Srinatha from Bangalore, my friends and me have taken 14 postpaid connections under CUG 225 plan. The exicutive has told we are getting 1500 free locals per month, but we r charging for making calls and not making calls daily. I mean our unbilled amount is keep on increasing even though we are not making calls. That executive has been switched off his mobile. His name is " Mahender, his number is [protected], [protected]. We tried to send complaint mail to the ccare.[protected]@adithyabirla.com, unsuccessful. I never, ever seen this type fraud in IDEA. Each one has got around 800 bill per month. We need clarification from executive and customer care. My contact number is [protected]

              once idea cellular offered me the plan which suits to me and they also told me i hve to pay 250 rs for security its refundable whnver i changed the plan ,but after 15 days i switch to another plan i asked for the security money but they simply refuses from the security money now they are saying that u r charged for the sim ,but they already taken 250 extra for this.my no is [protected]

                You must call Idea Prepaid Dept, very very Urgently and tell them these stuffs, Dont forget to collect the Docket Number of your complaint .

                Now this connection using Mr Rajesh, Wayanad .He taken this connection before two months, He getting so many Calls from UAE asking your name .

                He is a labour, he also given this number to his dears and nears, So i[censored] get this connection back, you may get so many calls reagrding his works, its could be affect your privacy, so think about it and proceed

                my name is jossy thomas.Today on the 9-th of february 2010, i purchased an idea prepaid sim card for my urgent use.When i was purchasing, the shop-owner was busy and he wanted to close the shop immediately.As i was in an emergency too, i was unable to get the bill, and i didn't notice the date.When i reached home i noticed the date.it was like the simcard should have been activated on or before january 2010.thus i realized that i was cheated by your own dealer.i gave Rs.232 for the simcard and i also had told him that it was at the most urgent.the shop which i purchased is at kaloor, kochin-682017, chammany towers, first floor.please do the needful urgently and immediately.i hope you can understand my difficulty.Thankyou.

                Pls understand that the problem happened from your side, you would have been check it before purchase the same .

                The solution for this one is you speak with the retailer politely . The shop owner may contact the distributar, in that way your problem can rectify

                This is the reference to the call i had from sales team which was bitter expereince for me, which made me to be ashamed of being a Customer of yours for the last one year. The call which i got from the no is [protected] and made my day so hectic.

                When i got the promotional call, i have rejected the offer of being in the post paid list and i disconnected. But the prob starts thier as the exective was going on giving call for disturbing and irritating me to its max. i Received the sales call 2 to 3 calls per day.

                And the sales person was a lady were she was shouting and using the worst words at me Has if i am using your service for free. I have never come to such a bad service ever in my life. so i request the entire team to help me out with issues come across. During that 100 students & 30 Staff member purchased the sim ( cash card based ) from Company outlet .Till Today more than 50 % of the number are not activated by the company IDEA. A number of time we approached but no positive approach from the company.

                      Idea ek dum chor company hai do not buy Idea prepaid sim. I am using Idea mobile# [protected] from last six months. I feel there are lot of deductions other than call rates when I asked from consumer care dept they say that our system is not showing any deduction when I insist then they told me that you have started music masti pack and there is deduction of Rs. 10 every week I stopped music masti pack and again there was deductions and again I called at custmer care they told me that you have started GPRS services and everyday there is deduction of Rs. 5 for those service but I told me that I have not started any such services. But as per thier SMS for deductions say I am using international roaming services but I never visited anywhere.

                      I request everybody buy any SIM but do not go for IDEA.

                          Dear Sir,

                          I am holding celular mobile services. I am already having a BPL, Reliance, Vodaphone sims.
                          I have been regularly requesting Idea to activate my International roaming and ISD for which I am ready to pay the required 3000 deposit. They are not activating the same stating reasons that a chargeble service of call conferencing is already active on my number, which is true

                          I have already explained them many times that BPL , Reliance, Vodaphone are offering call conferencing free of charge and then too I am having ISD on all my same numbers. Here even after charging for call conference the company is not swtarting ISD service.

                          My compalints are taken only verbally, but nothing is materialising till date.

                          Please suggest me what should be done.

                            i applied for the idea cellur sim card. And it has been Activated. After while time i come to know what ever i submitted the documents for simcards. the distributor has been multiplied and applied up more than 100docs.

                            my suggestion to mail readers While applying sim card make signature on photo copy over the where the letter is mentions.

                            Idea — misuse of name

                            i wanna know the name and other details of the number [protected] someone is misusing my name using this number

                            I had purchased idea sim from a vendor, who collected all the required papers and gave me sim. after nearly two months the sim has been decativated without any information.on enquiry with idea customer care centre i came to know the sim is in the name of someone else. how come i have been using another persons sim .i doubt the vendor has misused my papers and my sim is being misused by someone else.i think idea cellular gives idea for misuse of services. the customer care says the vendor may have given false information and vendor says go to idea centre. its disgusting to see the treatment given to customers by idea.

                              I have purchased Idea net setter on[protected] of price Rs.2000.The company have provided details as its internet speed is up to 236kbps and actually it is giving 20kbps where the speed is not even 70kbps

                              Idea says that this net setter is HIGH SPEED INTERNET so where is high speed there is no speed.On the date[protected] I called the customer care of Idea about the problem but Idea takes no action on the complaint.

                              Idea is totally froad. I purchased it by knowing all the details but for actual performance we have to purchase & use it.I purchased it because it was high speed internet but it is not.

                              The internet speed of this net setter is very slow so Idea should return the money of me or increase the internet performance

                              Else me & my friends can take legal actions on Idea

                              Idea should not advertise in wrong manner

                              i am receiving around 100 to 200no. at odd hours which is causing lot of disturbence
                              i called up customer care on 23rd oct at 8pm to Mr sonu and he asked me to send DND request Sms i did the same but sms was failure
                              i called him up he said he will take care and it will take 45 days
                              on 24th i been to customer care office at MVP Visakhaptnam to complain the same
                              there MS. Swarna she taken my complaint and requested me to wait for 45 days
                              so by 9th Dec.'09 it crossed 45 days still i am receiving the messages
                              when i been to the same office in MVP Visakhapatnam, A.P now they were saying my request has not been received and it will take up to 17th Dec 09

                              i am very much unhappy with ur service
                              being a loyal customer i am continuing this no only reason as this no. is there with many and i am using from long time

                              in this communication revolution its really fussy to hear that it takes 45 days to activate the request

                              my deep request is dont try to make fools

                              hope u will take necessary action up on this
                              True, they crap. Often doesn't work but they charge for it regardless. And speed don't even go beyond 20kb, average 5kb to 7kb.

                              This is total fraud by Network where they advertise 200kb speed, we expect that when purchase it. Even 100kb is shame because simple its not what they told they giving.

                              Total Ripoff, don't understand why no one taking legal action, even government should stop this nonsense, customer service is joke, just on paper all. Not just Idea, but all companies who give this such wireless service does not maintain what they selling on paper.

                              Should be sued in court, and pushed to level to either give service as promised or change on papers and write what one actually will be getting.

                              In USA, UK no company does this, they give what they write, if for any reason someone doesn't get what they told they will, company gets sued and fined by government also. This is just pathetic but guess Indian government itself is so corrupt and backlogged in court cases, this corporations opening ripping off. Hope some free sitting group of lawyers sues this .
                              Lot of complaints on net for idea cellular customer care & services ...

                              I think even Abhishek Bachchan has no idea about the worst services of idea & its customer care.

                              Thats why you will always find him asking ... what an idea sir ji

I was using it but one fine day in the morning after recieving some call it started showing me " Sim card rejected." . I went to autorosed service centre and showed the sim but they(manager) refused to change/replaced the sim and asked me to pay to get it replaced with a new one

                                "Sim card rejected" is a standard problem of the cellular company. Most of the other gsm provider replace it free and immediately for such problems then why idea is reluctant to do so.

                                I had taken the sim card just 2 days ago and now it is showing "SIM CARD REJECTED" as how much i knew same problem is occuring with many customers because they are supplying very low quality of sim cards same case happened with the RELIANCE GSM also.please take any action against these companies.

                                    Despite number of complaints made by the members of Palam Vihar Residential Welfare Association, General Secretary of Palam Vihar Residential Welfare Association and Star Facilates Management Ltd. (Ansals) to the Administrator, HUDA, DC, Gurgaon and DTP (Enforcement) for the last 2 years but nothing has been done till date and the owner of premises i.e. A-683 Palam Vihar Gurgaon is going on increasing and re-devloping its strengths day by day along with other commercial activity spreading health hazard activity in the residential colony which is not allowed in the residential colony as per law.                                       (1) I am a Officer in Indian Navy serving presently at the rank of Lieutenant Commander .The present place of my posting is Indian Naval Ship Shivaji placed in LONAVLA, Pune.
                                      (2) I have subscribed to the idea cellular service on 15 September , 2009. The number is [protected]. I had submitted the required documents well in time and to the level of my sincerity and responsibility as a good customer.
                                      (3) I regret to state that in spite of above statement been followed in verbatim my services were kept on hold with effect 11 Oct 09 and was reactivated only on 25 Oct 09 after resubmitting all the documents.
                                      (4) I regret to state further that my services are again kept on hold with effect 19 Nov 09 till date. On being contacted by the dealer and the customer care I have been informed that due to security concerns my services are on hold and I will have to resubmit my documents to establish my identity. I have been further informed that this to ensure fool proof security system.
                                      (5) I regret to state that IDEA is not able to establish the identity of a serving Officer of ARMED FORCES. I wish you best of luck in your endeavour.

                                      ONE CONNECTION IS ALREADY BEEN DEACTIVATED BY VANSH AGENCIES AND THEY HAVE GIVEN THE REASON TO CUTOMER THAT THE VOTER ID CARD (WHICH IS ISSUED BY THE ELCTION COMMISSION OF INDIA) IS FAKE
                                      BUT I M SURE THAT THE VOTER ID CARD OF CUSTOMER IS NOT FAKE BECAUSE I KNOW HER FROM THE LAST 30 YEARS SHE IS MY NEIGHBOUR SINCE BIRTH
                                      I CANT BELIEVE THAT WHO HAS GIVEN THE AUTHORITY TO MR. ASHOK (THE OWNER OF VANSH AGENCIES) TO NULIFY (CANCEL ) THE VOTER IDENTITY OF CUSTOMER WHICH HAS BEEN MADE BY THE ELCTION COMMISSION OF INDIA.

                                        hello guys am somil tiwari an resident of bangalore. recently i buyed a idea net setter on 30/11/2009.i was informed that it speed is 236.8kbps on an avg 40-50kbps.but am not able to open even an orkut website.it takes 1-2 minutes to load google page.when i try to download any thing the connects automatically disconnects.when called to the coustomer care they told that i will be rectified with in one hour.after that i called them back they...
