IDEA Postpaid — pls block my card

My sim was stolen on 28th oct 2008 . And since then I have been trying to get it blocked but solapurs customer care executives have been extremely uncooperative & unhelpful & have refused to block it. My no. is [protected]

    Hello,

    This is to plead for justice to me, as i am suffering at the hands of Idea Cellular due due to barring of outgoing call facilities of my mobile- [protected] & supplementary Idea GPRS Internet connection,
    with an unreasonably high bill served to me for 13 days.

    A week ago, when i tried to make a call and access internet, i was unable to do so.
    While making calls from Mobile phone, a pre-recorded message stated that "the services to this number is temporarily on-hold".
    Whereas, I got Error 619 while trying to access Internet.

    When i contacted Idea Customer Care, the next few revelations where shocking :-

    1) I am told by one Mr. Nasir Shaikh that the services to my number were barred due to non-payment of an interim amount, against an outstanding unbilled amount of Rs.8900/-( that exceeded my credit limit of Rs.2400/-.)

    2) I am informed that an SMS was sent to me on 26th April, advising to make an interim payment.
    But I have not received any such SMS before the outgoing facility was abruptly barred.
    The fact is I have been regularly receiving reminder SMS to make payment of Rs.1844/- against my last bill, before its due date- 30th April 2009.
    I have these SMS on my mobile.
    3) When asked further about the details of my outstanding, i am being told that my unbilled amount for 13 days for GPRS internet usage stands at Rs.8990/-...!!!.
    4)Since my past and current usage was never as high, I asked for a detailed bill for this unbilled amount.
    I am provided with an excel sheet, that does not show me the websites or the
    5) I spoke to Ms. Priyanka Sagne and Mr.Dilip Shah regarding the same.
    But even these officers did not provide me the details of this unreasonably high usage!!.
    Since my usage has been never as high and i had not exceeded my free usage of 1 GB for every 1 GB in these 3 months. My internet bills for last 2 months are Rs. 263, Rs. 443 approx.
    For this month, unbilled amount for 13 days shows Rs. 8900/-

    6) Under any circumstances, going by me present and past usage the bill cannot be this high..!

    7) On my net setter home page too, under statistics Tab, details of my upload and download yearly,
    displays volume less than 4.5 GB which is a correct reflection of my usage of NetSetter.
    8) For one moment, if i believe that the usage was high, which is not the case,
    why was i not informed when the amount exceeded my credit limit of Rs.2400/-

    Due to all the above reasons i am bound to believe that there is definitely a technical error in the generation of this unbilled amount.

    I have been a loyal customer for Idea for the last 2.5 years, and my payment history is an evidence for the same.

    Using GPRS Internet of Idea has been a very bad experience for me, since last 3 months.
    I have raised more that 10 complaints since i took up this connection...!!
    Now with this billing irregularity, I am completely shocked with the services at Idea.

    My request, to restore services to my mobile number with immediate effect,
    and also provide me with the detailed bill of my Netsetter Usage till date with my IP address and
    data downloaded from these websited are not yet answered to me.

    Being a corporate connection, this negligent act is affecting my personal and proffesional work and i am left with no choice than to appeal for justice before the competent authority.
    I am left in the lurch by this act of Idea Cellular.
    On top of which i am harassed over the phone by Ideacellular to make this interim payment.

    May i expect justice delivered to me by the enactment of customer protection law in this case of broad daylight exploitation.

    i wuld like to highlight that no service provider pays any attention to the customer complaint its just an eye wash and in the bargain the customer suffers. i m using the idea no for past 5 years and supposed to be inthe special category which they call gold customer status. i recd the jan bill and was surprised to cee the the bill was having 3500 sms in that month . i enquired from the customer cell they plainly said we cant do anything on this i then went to their one outlet in shivalik malviya nagar run by one person called Mr.dey i explained my problem to one of the executive regarding my problem he was very kind to listen to my complaint and requested to pay the part payment followed by a complaint letter i did the same after that there was no feed bak from any customer dept. i tried contacted customer mobile no but always engaged so my Q is y give the no when there is no response i waited for atleast 10 days but no response from them when i contacted the cutomer dept. they were unable to give satisfactory reply .suddenly one day i found my outgoing barred i enquired they said i m supposed to clear the balnce O/S i said i hve already lodged the complaint but i was tol;d they are helpless i dont understand y there is a delay in giving me the itemised sms details but till date not recd the details and my outgoing with ISD facility got barred y they put the customer on the SELECT list when the company is not bothering even to find the xact cause annd the problem faced by the customer all heads of the company are deaf and dont know hu to solve the customer problem so lastly i m regertfully stating that idea claims that they are NO 1 among service providers but i think is all false and only the customer has to suffer not even once i recd thecall from the company i want to discontinue the idea connection which i hve 5nos all post paid but cant do as all my contacts are aware my present nos and if i change i will face difficulty.thus till date waiting for their response and itemised details but no one from the company ever cared to look into the problem seniors only enjoy their seat and dont take pains to solve the aggrieved customer complaints let evry customer and public know this behaveral attitude of the Idea top bosses
    If this is the type of the things is happening and its real, then no one is showing the interest.

      Dear Sir,

      I stay in prime residential area - Kalyani Nagar, Pune,
      I along with various other friends around Kalyani Nagar are facing very poor and sometimes no signal
      on the IDEA mobile services.

      This problem has been brought to the notice of the service provider on various occasions and every time
      their customer care person politely expresses their concern and promises are made that they will look into the matter.

      I am having their services since more than 14 years and I cannot change the service provider, as migrating will automatically put me out of business from many.

      I appeal to you, to kindly look into this matter.

      Idea does have a bad mobile signal network. They are in bussiness because of fools like us who stick to their services. They are just making partnerships by taking shops on rent in different locallity just like Airtel has done over the period of years.
      It is possible to keep your same number by changing your presant idea operator to an another whose mobile signal network is good in your area by porting. to know the procedure -
      Copy Paste in your web browser : http://india.gov.in/howdo/otherservice_details.php?service=29
      or explained in short-
      NOTE: only mobile numbers can be ported and that too within the same circle. You can retain your old number and process is similar to getting a new connection.
      Steps For Number Portability process
      #1. First, obtain an 8 digit unique porting code (UPC) by sending an SMS “PORT <mobile number>” to 1900
      #2. Approach new operator, give your UPC, fill up required forms and submit identity proof
      #3. Await SMS from new operator about initiating porting. Number may remain inactive for 2-3 hours
      #4. After Three hours you can switch to the new operator’s SIM
      #5. Entire Process should not take more than 5-6 days
      Important guidelines:
      - For prepaid subscribers, balance amount/talk time would not be carried forward to new operator
      - Post-Paid subscribers should clear all dues, else porting request may be rejected
      - You can port a number from CDMA to GSM or GSM to CDMA
      - Porting Allowed only once in 90 days

        netsetter — Not working properly since activated

        I Sandeep Kumar got an idea net connection [protected] in my name on address 114/5A Shivaji Nagar Gurgaon on dated 14-05-09 and activated on same date but after activation it is not working properly and disconnect automatically and showing the activate status. I have lodged complaint many times Idea assure me to rectify the problem within one day but since it is not working properly. If it will not work properly then I will have to threw it in dustbin and will advise to all user not to take idea net connection because idea commitment and services is really really very poor.
        Pl. remove the device, re-start computer, put the device wait till device detected and software loaded. After it connect. It will work. I also face the same error and resolved error with above procedure.
        Your no should be deactivated. Pl. activate the no from Idea after their confirmation of activation remove the device, re-start computer, put the device wait till device detected and software loaded. After it connect.         netsetter — Very Slow, Not working everywhere, Excess charges

        I have purchased/get connection on 30.06.2009. It is very slow and it was not working at every place. At the time of sell, the Idea personnel told me that it will work every where and it is enough fast. But it is very slow and it doesn't work even though the place where the Idea connectivy is very fine. They took charges for this month also even I had paid the charges in advance. They informed me that I will get back the excess paid charges after two mothns. If they know that I had paid charges in advance, then why they are charging me. It is not good Idea. It is very bad Idea Sirjee.

        i also purchased a IDEA NET SETTER from punjab. i was told that it will work everywhere in india. now i hv come to maharastra and my IDEA NET SETTER has stoppped working. it is showing ERROR 619. i hv tried everything but it is not working
        Please take following steps-
        Remove Data Card from Computer/Laptop. Go to Run Command from from Satrt Menu. Type %temp%. Click on OK. You will find various files in this Folder. Select all and delete. Close the Window.
        Then Open Internet Explorer.Click on Tools Menu. Then Click on Internet Option. Delete cookies. Then Restart your Computer / Laptop. Push Idea Netsetter into USB Port and wait for initialization. After device initialization connect to the internet.

        My 3G idea net setter bearing No.[protected] has not been working for the last fortnight.. The response shown by the net setter is " REMOTE COMPUTER DID NOT RESPOND. SO PORT WAS DISCONNECTED" Despite my several requests to idea customer care my problem has not been resolved. I was only told that their is no problem at the end of IDEA. It is surprising that albeit I was given a complaint No. 1-[protected] but no action has been taken till date and still neither my device has been working nor any action appears to have been taken at my request.

        3Gidea netsetter — not working properly

        last month a phone call came to me to buy an idea 3Postpaid net setter in discount amount.They convinced me very much and I was agreed to purchase .The same day they delivered it in my house.The person was from Jain communication thane(west)The problem now is neither it is working properly in 3G or in 2G.At that time I was told that after using one month I can convert it into prepaid but now they are denying to do it.Now they are not responding at all.After calling several times they are telling to go any Idea gallery and ask them to change it into prepaid but gallery people are telling it is not possible before 4 months.Now my problem is actually i wanted it in prepaid that's why i purchased but now what I have to do?Now i want either they should change it into prepaid or i should be given my money back.otherwise I am not going to pay any bill amount.plz consider it and do the best .
        I should be solved.

          Hello Sir/Mam,
          I have an Idea connection of Mygang from last 9 months but now i want to convert my Mygang plan to normal plan. When i talked to customer care of Idea regarding this problem they said that it is not possible to convert mygang to normal you have to buy a new sim or you have to convert it into postpaid. But according to my knowledge TRAI has rule that you can change your plan in any plan without changing your number.when i said this thing to customer care they say that wo know only Idea rules not TRAI rules.
          So please tell what can i do regarding this problem.Waiting for your response

            Hi,
            I m from pune.
            I recharged my idea prerpaid number [protected] Online of Rs.345 on 30th April 2009.
            After rechared the system shows the error message and amount of Rs.345 had been deducted from my account.
            I got the SMS from idea of successful payment of Rs.345, but till now i don't get the talktime.
            I have send snapshots of the error message and bank statement but nothing happend till now.

            So I personally advise you not to take Idea Connection.

              Hi,
              I have idea prepaid no. [protected] which i am using since last 6 Years. On dated 02 May I have got the message "We got ur Dialer Tone activation request. U will be 1st charged for song selection & then for rental. I[censored] have less than Rs15, Idea Jingle will play as ur DT." send from IZ-55465 at time 14:55:14.

              I got second message "Your subscription to RBT_SEL_CRICKET NZ haz been activated. Thank You. " sender 55456. at time 15:30:29 and the third message was "You have been successfully charged for Cricket Dialer Tone for this series..." sender IZ-55456 at time 15:10:52
              when i check my balance it reduced by Rs. 45. I iimmediatly contact to customer care and asked for why you activate this service when i was not request for it? then the person from CC told me you send us message for it. when i asked him for date and time he was unable to give me that. But I feel i have been cheated (looted) by the 'idea' .
              I even request him to return by amount to my account. I don't want this service but he told me that amount can not refund.

              So what i have to do?

              same here bro,
              i accidentally subscribed for pay per channel in march, i was charged Rs. 50.
              i thought i would be for the whole month.
              today 13th may, my subscription renewed without asking me and i am charged Rs. 50 again.
              Idea Cellular is not good.

              i accidentally dialled for a dialer tune.i din new they wil continuously deduct money for that.i wasnt aware.now everyday they are cutting money.plz help me.

              Idea Cellular — activated value added service without being activated by me

              My idea prepaid no is [protected].I have not activated cricket pack for which they charge 5re/day. when i called to customer care they have registered to deactivate the cricket pack within 48 hours.but by that time my account will be deducted by 15re.Again I called the customer care but they are not willing to lodge a complain about the irregularity. Now for the full day I tried to customer care but always same answer that is"all our customer care executives are busy with other number"

                sms servicer through rediffmail account should be stop with immediate effect.
                sms through rediff astro capricorn..
                i recieve daily astro predictions on my mobile from rediff.I dont know how to deactivate it, even i dont know how was it activated on my mobile.the message comes daily around 10 am from IY-57333..
                it costs rs.30/month
                yesterday i recieved a message which said, "your subscription to rediff astro capricorn has been renewed".again rs.30 deducted...i want the deactivation of this service as soon as possible.

                    Idea Communications took over Spice Communications in Punjab. But the highhandedness is so much that the company is not vacating the lien taken from HDFC Bank Phagwara branch. From the last one year Mr. Hemant Gupta is running pillar to post to get justice but in vain. The Idea communications used to charge for ISD facility whereas the party has no need of it.

                    Idea Cellular Ltd — Facility not Provided

                    Our business is laptops sales and Service. For service problem I need to call all company Toll Free number. I given my online complaint to idea cellular company but I get proper response from them. So I given my complaint to you.

                    I have one problem from idea cellular mobile service. I am not able to used Toll Free Number . My problem is not only anyone toll free number but from Idea mobile (GPRS) we are not call any Toll Free numbers. If I want to call HP , Dell , Compaq Any other company Toll Free it give message only "PLEASE CHECK THE NUMBER YOU ARE DAIL." I understood if company as not tie-up with any one number but what about the other company numbers. But I see other Company like Airtel, Tata, Reliance and BSNL are given the service to call Toll free number. But only Idea Cellular is not provide this facility

                      I have recharged my idea card on 26-04-09 with Rs.666/- with company offering full talk time and six minutes I2I fr every six hit by Mumbai Indians in IPL. On 27-04-09, Mumbai Indians have hit 9 sixes. But the extra time of 54 minutes (9x6) have not been added so far to my account.
                      I have contacted Customer care but no response on it.
                      Please take immediate action.

                          I'm aakash having a idea connection. i'm mpcg custmer and my cell no. is [protected]. My concern is that i was not using this no. because of higher call rates. one day i called at customer care and ask to agent how can i salvage my no. without using it so she give me proactive information about 15 rs. life time plan so after that i recharged my accont by 15 rs. but she provide me incomplete and inaccurate information. because i am having 999 plan so according to TELECOMS REGULATORY AUTHORITY OF INDIA i got 2 rs. processing fee on every top-up but after recharge 15 rs. plan i wont get this rs. so registered a complain to provide me proper feedback but i din't get proper feedback from their. so i again registered complain against their agent as well as team leader Mr. VIKRAM BISEN but still i din't get proper feedback. one day i got a call from their back hand side. he told me we can't do anything so sorry for that. now i got really frustrated so made call to call center and i told to transfer my call to his operation manger so she transferred my call to his team leader MR. PANKAJ, i told him everything so again registered my complain so i told him to transfer my call to operation manager but he din't transfer my call and he disconnect the call. i'm a student belong from middle class family and i know value of money so it's not acceptable for me. so please it's my request to you either deactivate this plan from my no. or credited 999 rs. in my account. i hope you guys will take this on high priority and kindly take some action.

                          Sir, let me introduce first.I am sanil sadasivan I completed My Computer Science In Amrita Vishvavidyapeetham In Amritapuri campus.I am living in pandalam, Pattanamthitta district.
                          I don't like to written this feedback to you, but can't.I am ur one of the customer that uses the Idea Cellular connection with 5 years.I have never faced any problem for this years... and i proud to get the connection of Idea..But now i faced a Big trouble with Customer support from you...My father Had taken a connection(Cell no: [protected]) of idea...We are not able to recharge for few days with some issues...after that we turned to recharge, but it's validitty is over...Then i recharged with a 200rs TopUp.Then still it's not working..again i recharged with 100rs lifelong validitty.it's again not working...Then i turned to call customer care..He reports that the connection required a ID proof Again..(This connection is using for 2 years).
                          My nearest Idea Showroom is Pandalam. I submitted the ID proof with One Passport size photo and Id of my father, But i feel a bad response from ur Idea showroom in pandalam. They says that the connection will clear at 1 or 2 weeks.But ur customer sender says that's enough, it will clear in maximum 3 days.When i informed the Showroom they use some bad words to speak to me...
                          I don't like to move Legaly if you are Respond.and I dont like to upload the Bad Behaviour of the Idea's Customer support in INTERNER . I am Going to Disconnect " My Idea " Connection Also...I want the ID proof Back that i'll Submitt The Idea Showroom in pandalam.

                          I have put up my datacard into save mode for 2 months (20/12/09 to 20/02/10) on dated 19th december and paid 100 rupees + dec month bill charges in advance. But after 2 days I got a call from idea which is situated in faridabad on neelam bata road. She told me that your balance is 7 ruppes less so deposit 7 rupees in idea account earlist as possible. I discussed with her that I always pay more than my bill amount. And still she is denying to accept this. After this I had also communicate with Idea Customer care with Mr. Anuj, I spoke to him and make him understand about my problem. He said to me that you do not need to worry your account balance is sufficient. I had recived the current month (JAN) bill, however it will not be generated for this month. Please do the needful action.

                            Idea — regarding tariff

                            there are two complaint from my side.
                            1.i recharged with 38 rupees of teriif and i was told that my all idea to idea call after 11 pm to 6 am will be 10 paise but this was not happened.

                                i have been using spice since 7 years, Despite of all worst service ever any other tele company provided,
                                subject- i activated gprs SE monthly pack about 56 hours ago and no confermation send to me, no setting profile has been sent to me, from 1 hour of activation i started to call customer care, and no proper response given to me, after 4 to 5 calls one customer care person told me to wait 24 houre, and next day i again started to call customer care service, but he assured me to send message within 1 hour, but nothing happened, again i calld customer care another person told me same, but nothing happened, then i decided to ask of compaint no, but he refused to take complaint, i insisted him to give me number then he suddenly told nos and disconnected, how can i remember lots of no with in fraction of seconds, from then to till i have no connection of gprs, infact at that moment i badly needed that GPRS connection,

                                SO PLEASE CANCEL MY GPRS ACTIVATION AND REFUND MY MONEY BACK,
                                I DONT NEED THAT CONNECTION ANY MORE,

                                Yes, i strongly agree with the complaints. I too suffered the same problem. Deactivating the prepaid gprs net 20 plan is an uphill task. but one can reduce it to net 1 daily pack with the code *567*558# FOR NET1. Instead of getting robbed for 20 daily.. one can give a tip of rs 1/- per day as worst service. :)

                                I am the Idea user of Himachal-Network is ok but not widespread, Worst GPRS/roaming, deduct balance unnecessary and worst customer care support. If you want a trial go ahead, anyways you have the authority to change this after three months from MNP launch date.

                                Idea Cellular — Worst IDEA GPRS Service

                                Hi,
                                My self is Deepak Agarwal and i am using IDEA GPRS services which was my biggest mistake to activate GPRS services.

                                I activated GPRS services with a plan 98 Rs in which idea provided 2 GB data and 30 days Validity.

                                So from that day i activated this nightmare has been started. Now in any day they automatically deduct my balance and it becomes 0.30 or something below zero.
                                If you try to call in customer care, first they do not pick in one call, second mostly they say that software is upgrading please call later or in last they say please registered a complaint which never works.
                                It happens 5 to 6 times, whenever i recharged then within two or three days they deduct all my money. I have lost around 600 to 700 Rs till now.

                                I have registered lots of complain but not get benefit.

                                continously even if i am not using it

                                I want to complain against idea cellular prepaid services..I havent told or send any msg regarding any services activation...still on my number that is [protected] the GPRS Daily Pack services is already activated without my knowledge.I called customer care also but they didnt respond and solve my problem..They do not accept their mistake.so i want u to look into this issue and solve it as early as possible.thnks Sukhjinder Singh Advocate

                                  RESPECTED SIR,

                                  I have an idea prepaid SIM of no. [protected], I have been losing money for some time on account of charges on account of dialer tone background music, something called RBT ACT DAY and so on those which I hadn't applied for. Since they deducted money part by part according to my balance I couldn't notice lately I received certain messages concerning renewal of these services that I came to be aware about this. I had availed a GPRS connection that charges based on usage (which I rarely use)but i was informed from customer services that I have a semi fixed plan and they charge Rs.30 wheather or not I use the service monthly. They claim to have provided me a dialer tone (which closely resemble the ordinary one so that i wouldn't notice.) and charged Rs. 30 or 20 whatever. They also claim to provide me some background tone which I have never heard during a call. Lately I cancelled all these services from customer services center but they refused to show me any account details regarding the previous months so that I couldn't identify from when I was losing money. they deducted Rs. 50 last 5 days(after my complaint was registered) and god knows how much more. When I looked into net I could know This is not just my experience but a lot of people who laid thier trust in this system and government for protecting thier rights and security of their money.

                                  i also faced similar problem.this week i recharged my idea no.twice with Rs.50/-each & i have made a single local for few seconds only after recharge.now i see my account balance is zero.just for a cal of few seconds.i also recieved a message frm idea that my dialer tone is renewd which i have not subscribed for.when i called the customer care to complaint about this the executive is not responding.so i am thinking to change the service provider if they are not refunding my money within 48 hrs.please tell me to whom can i complaint about this matter...Dr.ANIL KUMAR, CALICUT, KERALA

                                  Idea — charging of background music

                                  contineous cahrging of rs 20/- per month for background music without my request and without giving the service from last 5--6 months. after talking to customer care various times i sent a sms DEACTBGM to 12345 on[protected] which is still not rectified and charging the same (last charged on[protected] pl. de actvate my socalled request and refund au authorised charges debited to my a/c. my no is [protected]
                                  as advised no charges have been refunded so far.

                                    I have collected a post paid corporate card(sim) for the behaf of hero honda motors employee while mob was no-[protected] and it had been activated.after 5-6 days id activation has been cut.I don't understand this type of behave pls activate it immediately.

                                    I have experienced a lot of problems with IDEA sim - [protected]. I have submitted my proof documents twice and that too directly to the idea office, but everytime i get the info that my address and id proof are not submitted and hence the services have been discontinued. It is very inconvenient when you are roaming to various places. Now my sim shows inactive sim, i feel so frustated with this service, totally disgusting - Jayant

                                    RECOMMEND TO OTHERS - DO NOT GET THE IDEA TO GET IDEA
                                    i have idea post paid connection by number [protected]. I requested 2 months back to have facility to use internet also. As per their advise i sent sms.So far no activation done. I tried to contact over phone through 12345 many times which is useless and no use. It takes about 5 to 6 mts to report complaints but no action taken. If this is not going to solve i donot option to go for other provider. I hardly receive the bill statements. I hardly receive bills through sms also.

                                      Dear Sir,
                                      I got a call from mobile number [protected] and was introduce himself as Mr. Manoj from Idea from Mohan Cooperative. He gave me scheme of 699 in which he told that your local M2M will @30paise M2L @50paise and STD M2M will @75paise and M2L @1 Rs. I have submitted fees to him 17th April but still I don't get back my balance as well as validity which he told full balance and 1 year validity and also gave me a form based reciept. Now when I am contacting that number no response is coming from that number. please trace the number, otherwise more pepole would suffer like me.If he is a bogus person how he got your company's forms.

                                      I am very disappointed about your careless works because i am complaining you from[protected] that my sim card plan is changed on 9th of dec 2009. I did'nt give a request to to change my plan 1 paise and also i did'nt recharged also then how come you changed my previous plan 0.30paise, 50paise and 99paise to 1paise. who is responsible for this. when i complaint on 9th dec 2009 your representative Shneha and madhu told me that we are taken the complaint and complt no.[protected] we will feed back your and you will get back your previous plan and we solve your problem in or before[protected]. so i wait till that date but my plan was not changed to previous plan and again i complaint that same above but they give another complt.no.[protected] we sole the problem on or before[protected] itself. so i requesting you to back my previous plan soon. dont take more time.
