I have generated 3 complaints ticket numbers with IFB so far:
1) Ticket no. [protected] dt. 12-12-15:
We informed him it was flooded during chennai floods. He replied, then it wont be covered under warranty. It comes under customer not taking care of the product.
Then he checked machine and said, you can run the machine for 6 more months but it will be noisy is it ok? We replied"its all right".
Then he said "due to water your display has been damaged and it must be changed". We answered, " ok, change it".
Then he said "he dosn't have anything now, so he will return and change the display".
We waited a week no news from him. so, we called "IFB" to track the status of the complaint. They said it has been closed, then generated 2nd complaint.
2) Ticket no. [protected] dt. 27-12-15:
Service engineer came, opened the top lid and took photograph. Then he switched on the machine, and used the display from 00:00 to 00:04 and took photographs of it. Then he switched off the machine and again took photographs of the display.
Then he opened the rear panel, took photographs, and left. Then again we called "IFB" to track the status of the complaint. They gave us number of the service centre assigned to our area. A lady attended the call and said, she won't send anyone unless, we agree to change both motor and display.
Hence, we called "IFB" again to track our complaints status.They said it has been closed and no reason was given, then generated 3rd complaint.
3) [protected] dt.[protected]:
He din't call and just came to our home, there were no gents at home so, was asked to come later after calling for appointment.
Again called "IFB", they said they will escalate the issue and gave the number of manager.
I called them, someone else picked the call and said they will get back to me before 05:30 pm,[protected].
Our machine has 4 years 100% warranty and 10 years spare parts warranty.
Our LG refrigerator was flooded, we had repaired with their customer service. Its does not even have warranty. It only costed us around 500rs for the engineer visit.
Our IFB washing machine has 4 years 100% warranty and 10 years spare parts warranty. Whatever repair they do, can be claimed from state govt. for the machines that got damaged due to floods.
Its really frustrating service provided by IFB. It looks like a scam. And during first visit service engineer said motor and display will cost around 8000rs.
I demand an explanation from "IFB" for their attitude towards customers and provide the service for the machine we bought from them.

My request to IFB management is please kindly notify the customers regarding complaint details and date of Technician visit. Just simply registering complaint and routing to your service centres is not sufficient. Please update the customers with message regarding complaint number and when the technician going to visit etc.
