This is in reference to complaint No's- 5619291 dated 30/12/2010, 5682718 dated 5/1/2011 & 5744933 dated 15/1/2011 for my washing machine ELENA DX (5.5 kg) purchased on 21/2/2010.

Firstly technicians never visit on the stipulated time nor they give calls before coming. Since we both (husband & wife) are working so that is really a problem for us to be at home all the time & waiting for your technicians.

Secondly none of the technician is able to identify the problem with the machine as they have visited the house atleast 4 times in the last 20 days, changed the MCU card still the problem remaining as it is.

Moreover they are always closing the complaints without verifying whether the machine is repaired or not. Its been 20 days since the first complain & my problem remains the same. The service centre staff didnt inform when late or unable to visit & misinformed on the availability of spare parts.

The senior officers of service centre are also not paying any attention to this chronic problem as I have spoken to Mr. Bharat (Service Centre head), Mr. Siddiqui (Supervisor) & Mr. Sachin, Mr. Naushad & Mr. Pradeep (all technicians).
The temperature at Lucknow these days is around 4 degrees & I'm suffering a lot without the washing machine.
The customer care call centre is clueless about the services being offered & is not able to provide me an authoritative person for this problem to be resolved

All this makes me think that I really have made a wrong choice in IFB.

    Sir,

    I have purchased IFB microware from Mahavir Steel Shop from Pune on 17th october 2010.

    On second day o[censored]se the switch board strat sparking hence we called company executive who has asked us to change the switch board which we did immidiately.
    After that also it is not working properly. Most of the functions are not working and again switch board star sparking the light.

    We again called company executive, who said that this piece has fault you need to get it change with company. We are following up with that executive, many other members from company call center and the shop from where we purchased the microwave, but no use.

    The shop keeper is saying this is company's responsibilites and we cannt do anything in this. Company is not ready to change the piece. They are suggesting that they will repair the fault,.

    But why should I pay Rs.10000 for faulty piece and get it repaired?? Please help me..How do I need to proceed to complaint this? Shall I go to police Station?

      Dear sir/madam,
      SUB : tremendously delayed service for dishwasher
      We bought IFB Dishwasher Neptune model on 19th Sep, 2008. It worked fine till February 2010 when on calling the service centre, the response was prompt and the board was replaced.

      But the real problem started after the warranty period got over. The dishwasher stalled on 4th Nov, 2010. After calling the service centre, they sent a technician (on 9th Nov) who said that the memory is full and so it has to be cleared. He did the needful and the dishwasher started working again, but the wash quality was drastically reduced. He also mentioned that this status of “successful working” may not last long; the board has to be replaced again ! So the inevitable happened.

      The dishwasher stalled again on 17th Nov, 2010. The service centre sent the technician came after a week. He replaced the board, but there was no change. He said he is unable to solve the problem and a senior technician will attend to it. We waited for the senior technician to come and do the honours of rectifying the problem.
      Finally, on 2nd December (after 2 weeks), Mr. Ravichandran
      (ph –[protected]– an engineer from IFB factory came to inspect the dishwasher. He diagnosed that the wiring has to be changed and subsequently the board also needs replacement and that it would be done the very next day.

      We waited patiently for yet another 2 weeks but to no avail. Upon calling the service centre again, we were dodged to another number. In this entire process, I have made calls to the following places.

      Ironically amidst all this, I got a call from IFB feedback center asking whether my complaint has been attended to. I had to answer in the negative. Since then I have been calling the service center and the replies I get are lame excuses like the office is being shifted, spare parts are not available, technician has gone for training, etc. It has been 1 ½ months that the dishwasher remains unused and in non-working condition.

      Mr. Sundaraju, the senior technician from IFB came and suggested that the motor, wiring and the board has to be replaced. He said it will take 15 days for the new motor to arrive. However, Mr. Puttuswamy came with new spare parts on 22nd Dec, 2010 and replaced the motor, wiring and the board. Yet the machine did not work. He went back saying that Mr. Sundaraju only will look into the matter.

      Mr. Sundaraju came in again on 28th Dec,2010 and after opening the dishwasher, said that the pump is not working properly, because it is not drawing water. Now he said the new board which was fixed has also stopped working. He could not rectify the problem and suggested to take it to their service centre.
      On 31st Dec, 2010, our dishwasher was taken to the service center and till today (17th Jan, 2011) it is still with them. I have been calling them almost every other day and the response I get from Mr. Pradeep or Mr. Govindraju is that it will be done within 2 days or some such false promise. I also asked them to frankly tell me whether it would be repaired or not so that at least I am free to think about buying a new one, of course not IFB dishwasher but a different brand. Now they have estimated Rs. 10,000/- for the repairs and I was told that all the parts have to be ‘converted’ meaning changed.

      I have always believed in the brand called ‘IFB’ but because of my bitter experience with the service center and its irresponsible attitude towards customers I have lost all trust in the brand. Looks like I am now forced to do the work myself. There is no truth in their punch line “Put your hands to better use”. I would like everyone to read my story.

          I log a call in IFB cutomer care on 08-Dec-2010 on number [protected] and my IFB ID is 1914220 the issue is coming in that time the cloths was not clean properly and some spot is coming in cloths after 15 days he attend the call and in his customer care call was closed the call on 10-Dec-2010 it means IFB is closing the customer complaint without attending the call but the problem is still pending we are regulary followup with his local service centre executive the Number of this person is [protected] he is not picking the call mostly of the time and when he is picking and telling the executive will come today but executive is not coming. when i call to customer care yesterday on sames number [protected] he is giving another ticket number[protected].

            I have both the IFB machines, the Dryer and the Front load washing machine. I have made the biggest mistake in my life and regret every single moment buying the IFB machines. Please Please Please DO NOT CHOOSE IFB. Its been two year now since i have had them from day one they have given a lot of problem. in one and a half years time i had to change the moter, the belt, the drum, and for the dryer the belt twice. first of all they have no service center or even if they had it was just useless cause you call and call and call no one comes to repair your machines i still have all the complain number i have made, cust number : 1898460

            Yes, I too facing lot of problem in IFB machine. when ever we call service manager they say, they are in meeting. without given support to the customer, to whom they are gathering for meeting. more than a month my machine is not working. I am having IFB front loading. my suggestion is kindly don't buy IFB washing machine.

              Dear Sir,

              Sub: Request for replacement of defective washing machine (Senorita Dx)

              It is regarding distressful time we have been going through since I purchased the IFB washing machine (Senorita DX) from DD Electronic, Dwarka, New Delhi, on 14th April 2008, paying Rs. 17, 500.00
              After reading the following, I hope you will understand the situation and express similar opinion.

              My Customer Code is : 1425551

              It used to vibrate during the spinning cycle. When the vibration & Sound became excessive, I registered my first complaint no 1702613 for this issue in April 08. Now it’s been nearly 2 years since I am complaining for the excessive vibration & sound in my washing machine during the spinning cycle.

              In one incidence, the machine vibrated & jumped so badly from its position that the inlet water pipe got disconnected leaving the to water fill up the house for full 2 hrs.

              The machine was under warranty when the complaint was first registered & from Feb 10 to April 10, I was visited by an IFB Technician Mr. Ajay (Ph No [protected]). During his numerous visits he kept convincing me that this is the normal vibration & upon my further pursuance he suggested me one solution per visit like
              1. Once I was told that machine is vibrating because it is not kept on even surface, for that I was made to buy a m/c stand worth Rs 990/-……...End Result no reduction in vibration & sound.
              2. After this he told me that m/c may have salt deposits inside & then I was made to buy the de-sclaing powder worth Rs 1500/-...................End Result no reduction in vibration & sound.
              3. By this time I was getting fed up with Mr Ajay& then I asked for a senior technician & mr Rajesh supposedly a senior technician visited me. He suggested that electric cable for the machine does not have a 3rd earthing line which causing the motor to over load & thus the vibration / sound. This logic was beyond my understanding as I am an Engineer myself but since I was so fed up I went ahead with his advise.............End Result no reduction in vibration & sound.

              Upon further calling the IFB helpline, this time when Mr Ajay visited he changed the Water Pump. .............End Result no reduction in vibration & sound.

              All of the above was done when the m/c was under warranty & since by this time the warranty was expiring so we were advised to buy the AMC. Obviously we went ahead with the advice to get the issue resolved.

              The list of my complaints is as under:

              .............End Result no reduction in vibration & sound.

              Since I am a working female, all the above replacements took considerable amount of time & finally in end Nov, 10 Mr Ajay said that this is beyond his expertise. Now we were given the no of the Regional service Manager Mr. Yograj ( Ph No [protected]) to co-ordinate directly for further proceedance. Initially Mr. Yograj refused to accept that after replacing so many parts the m/c can still not work properly but as Mr. Ajay confirmed it, he agreed.

              Furthermore to this the complaints have been closed without my consent to reflect that the problem has been attended & rectified. For instance, the customer care registered my complaints no 5445719 on 19 Nov 2010. On 15 Dec, 2010, when I called the customer care to check on the status of my complaint, I was informed that complaint is already closed. I asked the customer care to reopen the same complaint but she refused saying, they can only open a new complaint no 5580435 & not reopen the closed complaint no 5445719.

              It is not the first time when my open complaint was closed to reflect the problem is attended when it is actually not.

              In view of above stated facts, I have not been running the AUTOMATIC m/c in my absence & I have to be constantly around when it is on. I feel that I should have bought a much cheaper manual washing m/c compared to this expensive product which as it is behaving like a local product.

              This kind of irresponsible & Hit n Trial approach does not go well with the image of a Company like IFB.

              Past one year has been traumatic for me & I have wasted so many weekends for this issue. I am so so fed up with this product I demand an immediate redressal since the problem is beyond your expertise, it should either be replaced or my complete money be refunded with an immediate effect.

              I have wasted enough time, so either you address my issue well or I am left with no choice but to go to the consumer court.

              ifb,washing machine senorita dx — no action taken against damage

              Sir,
              My IFB washing machine is not in working condition since 25th feb'2010.I have already filed a complaint against the same but no action has been taken to repair the damage till date.I am regularly following MR.YOGRAJ(Sr. executive) and the customer care center but no response have been received.
              Kindly look forward to my complaint and take necessary steps.

                My washing machine is under Annual Maintenance Contract for which IFB Industries Limited, A-[56, Okhla Industrial Area Phase - I, New Delhi - 110 020 charged Rs. 1684/- paid vide cheque No. 502890 ICICI Bank Ltd. vide Book No. 187 Serial No. 9342 dt. 22.01.2007 to cover warranty from 22.01.2009 to 21.01.2011. Customer Code is 964562 Sr. No. 10499.10.

                I lodged complaint on 22.08.2010 on IFB Customer Care Phone No. [protected]. Complaint No. 4980802 was given and promised to repair the machine within 12 hours. But the mechanic came and returned saying that he would come with the required parts.

                Since then everyday We are making calls to the customer care (Chennai). They have given us so many Delhi Numbers such as : Mr.Shubhankarpati Branch Head [protected], Miss Monika 30889678, Mr. Sanjeev Sharma [protected], Other Nos. [protected], 26372486, [protected], [protected], [protected], 39004321, which are usually never picked up and if attended they also assure us to solve the problem but nothing happens.

                A month ago a new number : Miss Rakhi [protected] was given. It was picked up, and after so many reminders a mechanic visited with a motor of some other model and returned promising to come back the next day with the right motor. Again I had to contact several times and this time he said that the wires had to be changed and he would visit the next day. He did not come. Again I have been making complaints after complaints. Now this number is also not being picked up. Now half an hour ago I again contacted the Customer Care No. [protected] and I am shocked to hear that the complaint has been closed. In my opinion all the IFB people are fraud fraud and only fraud.

                  from very beginning of our use the i f b angular washing machine is not properly working.always stopping the machine when a particular time is over.after completing 26th minutes the machine is stopping and showing error 01.for every washing the machine is stopping minimum two times.two month after purchasing the machine completely down.i complaint the fact to many service persons but unfortunately nobody mind it at last i got the toll free number and contacted the responsible persons.after two month i got the machine repaired (replacing the board).standby machine gave to me after many time i complained to the authority.the standby machine also complaint and that also i informed the authority.after getting repaired by replacing the board i began to use the machine.from the very first washing the I F B ANGULAR washing machine showing the error 01 .again i contacted through troll free number they informed me within 24 hours we will sent the service persons.but five days passed nobody attended the case.it is shame to the company such a kind of mannerism from the service persons is totally shame to the entire society.my demand is change my machine and gave me a new one.otherwise u take my machine from home and do as u like.my contact number is [protected],[protected].email.id is [protected]@gmail.com.good bye.k k namboothiri

                    My washing machine (Top loading) is under warranty. On 26th dec 2010 I ve lodged a complaint that my machine is giving uneven vibrations.On rigrious follow up service personnel attended the complaint. He infomed me that there is some problem with parts in gear box and it needs to be replaced. This was expected to take 2 days. After 9 days passed I ve started trying to catch the Customer care only to get false commitments. Their service providers M/s Offbeat doesnt bother to listen.

                    I am really disappointed with their improfessional approach.

                      hello i m owner of IFB dishwasher,
                      Whnever rinse aids, detergents etc get over to order is a huge hassle like climbing mt everest,
                      first they dont pick phones, thn they vl not answer & finally whn u get thru them they talk to u v v roughly .
                      before u utter tht i wnt to place order... they promptly tell tht call after 5 days, stock unavailable..
                      my authorised store is Dhandeep services thane..if they dont hav stocks? why keep shops?

                      finally why there is so much monopoly ?why dont they make these products freely av in malls & make money & b merry?
                      why cause hassles fr consumers? tht too a house -wife?

                        My mahcine dry is not working. I have been informed by a service agent of IFB that the motor needs replacement. I complained on 21 Dec, 2010 under complaint number 5590924. I am still awaiting someone from IFB to contact me and repair the machine. Veruy dissapointed with the services.

                        Sir, I Manju Mongia W/o Sunil Mongia living at r/o 227/1, Indira Colony, Rohtak-124001(Haryana). I purchase a washing machine of IFB model Serena VX 7 kg on Diwali 2011 from Bhatia Electronics, Rohtak. After six month my washing machine dryer not working. I lodged the complaint no 8908549 in month of May-2012(date not remember) in customer care of IFB.His representative come and told us “Electronic plate change hogi”. I told to representative change the plate. But representative help less and told me I have no plate. Sir I so many call in IFB customer cares – but they told parts not available in company till date.
                        THIS IS THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WESTERN'S PROGRESS & ADVANCED STAGE. We import foreign technology but not their working pattern and WORKING ATTITUDE. WE ARE STILL IN A DEEP SLEEP ON OUR BUSINESS, PROGRESS AND ABOVE ALL, OUR FATE. WHAT KIND OF MARKETING IS THIS?
                        'O' IFB JAGO RE JAGO, THE TIME IS PASSING BY WITH YOUR GOOD NAME QUALITY SLIDING DOWN.
                        Very disappointed and harass with the services. Sir we are requested to you kind change our washing machine or return our payment with penalty.

                          This is regarding Escalating the issue of poor Service Management from IFB Service Provider.

                          I am an Old customer of IFB and ever since I have started using the service provided by IFB from its Gurgaon Service center which is run by

                          Mr. Joshi (Mobile Number :[protected] ) I have always faced issues with the quality of service

                          In the recent case, I have filed a complaint for my "Digital 7 KG" washing machine last Sunday (December 25th) that machine is not working

                          at all. It is switched on bt not running.

                          They have sent a person that to after 2-3 times reminder. Mr. Sanjay came to see machine and he advised that PCB is having problem. I

                          After 4-5 times reminder no one came and we have always been told that there is a part they have ordered which is yet to come come and soon

                          We have been waitng with our non-working machine for last 9 days and even ater promis by Mr. JOSHI (the owner) , no one came as of today

                          I have 5 Kg Executive plus washing machine. The machine is making unusual noise while running. I has given complaint to the nearest Bhatinda service center about one month back on phone number[protected]. Many times I have called them but the complaint is still pending.
                          At last I had approached customer care and got the complaint logged on 06Jan 11. The complaint number is 5688205.
                          Everytime I call them, they say that they have noted the complaint and will attend it shortly but to no gain.

                            My client ID is 1123267 and job no. 5637552. Bought the Maxi Dry Cloth Dryer on 28th Dec in Delhi from Arvee electronics in Delhi. I was promised tha the mc will be installed on 29th. Today 30th Dec is coming to an end and despite several phone calls to the Call centre, Arvee Electronics and Lakshmi (IFB's) agent in Noida, no one has come to install the machine.

                            This is very frustrating experience, first of all you spend so much on these machines and then you get no service from such notorious companies and the service agents.

                            Will some one take the pain to look into this matter.

                              Its been nearly an year since I am complaining for the excessive vibration & sound in my washing machine during the spinning cycle. The machine was under warranty. Numerous complaints have been registered since Feb, 09 but the problem was not attended & the service personnel had intentionally let the warranty period lapse.

                              My details are as under:

                              Bought on 14 April, 08

                              During the last month, the machine vibrated & displaced so badly from its position that the inlet pipe got disconnected leading to the water flow in the whole house.

                              After repeated follow ups on 19 Nov 2010, the customer care registered my complaints no 5445719. The service personnel visited twice or thrice & changed a few parts here n there but still unable to fix the problem. On 15 Dec, 2010, when I called the customer care to check on the status of my complaint, I was informed that complaint is already closed. I asked the customer care to reopen the same complaint but she refused saying, they can only open a new complaint no[protected] & not reopen the closed complaint.

                              It is not the first time that my open complaint was closed to reflect the problem is attended when it is actually not.

                              After, this I am given the no of the regional Service Manager, Mr. Yograj (Ph No [protected]) to further co-ordinate directly, but he refuses to come online. This kind of irresponsible & harassing attitude does not go well with the image of a Company like IFB.

                              I therefore demand an immediate redressal & the problem is beyond your expertise, it should be replaced with an immediate effect.

                                Dear Sir,
                                I had purchase a IFB washing machine model no.AW8061 from Raghukul Home Appliances ,Chotta Bazar Chowk, Main Road Chandrapur on dtd.30.11.2010 ( D.M. no.831). But the machine was delivered at my home it is observed that there are 5 to 6 dent (damages) on it. Several times I talk & complained to the deler but they have not responed positively.
                                Kindly look in to the matter at the earliest.

                                  I have an IFG Senator 6kg. It was running perfectly for almost 3 years. For the last 1 month we observed a leak of drops of water from the bottom of the washer (and the washer is in good condition and we are able to wash cloths). So I decided to call customer service just to fix the leak. Within a day the service person named Siva, came and he opened up the front panel and cover (without asking me what is the issue and even I didn’t tell the issue assuming that the customer service lady might have conveyed it to him). Then he asked me to bring a cleaning cloth. When I returned back to him with a cloth, he told me that, the important micro controller circuit is burned-out and that is why your washer is not running. And it costs rs.2500+. I got shocked and asked is that also the reason that the washer is leaking water  !!? Then the guy asked me back "is it leaking?" I really got pissed-off. When he switched the power on, I found the washer (drum) is not running. I immedialty smelled something fishy and asked the guy to pack-up. Any how he demanded Rs.350 for service charge! GOD.. We Indians are really poor/innocent in all sense. Before the guy leaving the house, I asked him to test the washer once again and confirmed that the washer now is not running.

                                  Later after the guy left, I opened up the washer again and did a mild analysis. To the core of "shockingness", I found 3 electric connectors disconnected.
                                  1. that is connected to the micro-controller circuit board. (One of the three jacks to the board)
                                  2. that is connected to main motor
                                  3. that is connected to the coil near the coin collector.

                                  I connected all of them back and the washer is now running perfectly.

                                  Regarding the water leak.. it is coming from a small hole on a rubber connector near the coin collector.. I sealed with MSEAL and rubber-solution..

                                  I also found a design flaw that has caused a hole in the rubber tube. The rubber tube that connects the drum and the coin-collector is very near (almost touching) to the rock-hard drum shell. Since the rubber is soft and the shell is rough and both objects movable, over a period of time (for me it has took almost 3 years), shell has slowly eroded the rubber causing the hole. I am able to see the black rubber scratch mark on the shell and in the same way, a flat scratched portion on the rubber tube and a hole at the center of the flat scratched portion of the rubber tube.

                                    I purchased this washing machine on 09 sept. 2010 from Manoj International,101,pratap nagar mayur vihar phase-1 DELHI-110091,PH-[protected],[protected],M.NO-[protected] VIDE bill no-C:232 DATED 09.09.10.

                                    This machine has not been functioning since after purchase and several times complaint has been lodged at your complaint no[protected] but to no avail.I thousand times talked to Mr. Tanmay Datta(Supervisor) at customer care calcutta(no[protected] and Ankita Shristava at East delhi service centre but both of these executives are not willing to even entertain my complaint.

                                    The dealer Manoj International says i have stopped selling IFB products due to the several complaints and suggests us to sue against the company in order to get the relief.

                                    The situation is really very poor and being an IFB customer I am being harassed at the hand of IFB executives and dealer.

                                    I therefore once again request u to either replace my machine with new one or return my money alongwith applicable rate of interest as IFB has not capability to provide after sale services.

                                    Dear Sir/ Madam,

                                    I have purchase New Washing machine model (IFB washing machine senator 6 Kgs) on 30/01/07(which is still under warrantee period) from your dealer "abrol enterprises raghunath bazar jammu J&K
                                    After purchasing the said machine i found that it is not working properly.
                                    I have made several complaints to IFB service centre Gandhi Nagar Jammu to solve the problem of the machine, but regret to inform you that I am not getting proper response from your service centre.A two moths back hteir representative came and check the machine, said that the motor is not functioning and tobe replaced but after that no person came and solve our problem I never expected such poor service from your end in such competitive market & request you to take corrective steps & get the same replaced so that no other customer complains against the poor service & if we do not get any response / feedback from your end, i will have no other option but to go to consumer court.

                                    ifb senator washing machine — not getting proper service

                                    we have complained on 4 December 2008, and my complaint number is 2503213, we still not get proper service from the company. My machine is vibrating so much, there is some problem in the drum also and not running properly.

                                    I purchased IFB SENATOR 6 kg W/M from Sapna Electronics on 15th July, 2008 and is still under warranty. We have installed the machine on a platform; with a plastic curtain around to protect it from water spillage etc and have also fixed an exhaust fan to reduce moisture. Recently about a month back we saw a crack on the top fiber board, and registered a complaint with the service center (Ticket no. 2857373). Subsequently the mechanic came and he has reported that the crack is because of water splashing (which is not true as we have taken all possible care not to allow any such possibility) and they are telling us to pay for the replacement of the board.

                                      My IFB Supremo washing Machine has been under the Company's Annual
                                      Maintenance Contract from the date of Purchase. The current ICR No. 23695 dated
                                      29.8.2009 valid for the period 22.9.2010 to 21.09.2011. I had made a complaint on 28.11.2010 listing in detail the various problems and lack of due service by the company even though several complaints are made and I have spoken several times to IFB's own representative. The call centre is useless. the Franchise does'nt bother to respond at all.
                                      Once again the machine broke down on 17.12.2010 and I lodged a complain on 18.12.2010. The servive men claimed that a belt has to be changed and that it would cos around Rs. 1000/- I agreed, but till date they have not bothered to have the belt replaced, even htough I have called them every da. They keep saing they are on the way, will complete the job before the end of the day., etc., but even after a lapse of nine days, the belt is yet to be changed.

                                      The quality of service is very poor and the service men competence is also very low, when they attend to one problem, they end up damaging the machine in some other manner and consequently the machine is down for most of the days in any month.
                                      Any number of complaints directly to IFB and talking to the IFB representative in Chennai just does not make any difference at all and the company continues to be deficient in rending service under the Annual maintenance Contract.

                                      IFB — Even after having AMC, this company is not servicing my Appliances

                                      I have Microoven SCI-3079 from IFB, the appliance is under AMC vide no 00302232 from 1st January 2010 , ICR no: 44287. Even after repeated calling, the response is they will get back to us in a weeks time. I have registered 3 times thru their web portal, but unfortunately no sign of services. Kindly help us in resolving the same.

                                        I have an brand new IFB washing machine which is just a few months old. Water started leaking from 3 places within the few months of its purchase. 1) Front door 2) Washing powder box 3) coin collector box. I have registered a complaint on 19/12/2010 at 12.30pm, in their calli center with Shewtha & the complaint No is 5583777. I was promised that this would be recitified within 48hrs. But no action was taken. I again called them on 22/12/2010 & spoke to Wasim at 9.30 who promised to take action, but again nothing worked. I again spoke to Ajay on 27/12/2010 & asked to connect to his manager where they replied saying that their manager's Shankar & Ezhumalai are busy & can't speak now.

                                        What is the complaint resolving method that this company follows? Is this the type of treatment for the machine which is in warranty? Would the employees shy away from their responsibility in facing their customers?
