A comlaint was lodged for the fault in the machine around 10 days back at IFB call centre
Comlaint ID is 4249903
Four times the technician has attended but every time he has left for want of some spare, without rectifying the machine.
Apart from call centre talked to following persons without any benefit
1. Mr Nishant Batra
2. Mr Ashish Samanta
3. Mr Bhimsen
4. Mr Dev Prasad.

Now they have stopped responding to my calls

What to do? Can I goto consumer forum. Machine is under extended AMC.

I had puchased an IFB Washing Machine Model No. AW7233, Sr.o.[protected] Top Loading from Bansal Electronics, SCO 385, Sector 8, Panchkula, dated[protected], vide bill no. 5212.
Mr. Harish having mobile no. [protected] had installed it.
This machine since then has been giving problems ever since the date of purchase i.e.[protected]. The service people don't come even after 48 hours of complaint.
Since then we have complained at least 7 times in the given period regarding different problems.
We are totally dissatisfied with the service as well as washing machine.
I would like a total replacement of the machine as it has given so many problems.

    Dear Sir,

    This is Kalaiselvi K from Adambakkam (34 E, Fourth Cross, NGO Colony, Adambakkam, Chennai). We recently purchased in the name of Kalai Selvi K (04/01/2010) IFB Senorita DX 5.5 KG (SR.No. WT SEN DX 5.5B 054111) from Eagle Electronics , Adambakkam.

    Once after purchase of the IFB Washing machine , demo was provided by Mr. Ganesh ([protected]) but we heared some extra noise while running the machine in the first attempt. He told due to new machine installation and settling will take some time. He told to observe the machine for any related issues and report if any abnormal behavior.

    We previously used IFB executive elite model and we never seen such strange noise in usage, but due to service engineer explanation we thought of observing in future usage.

    Second day when we tried to use the machine for washing we heared over noise with heavy vibration, we called the engineer to rectify the issue. He came and removed the safe packing material which was kept inside the machine during transporation (engineer didn’t remove the packing material during demo in the first stage) due to his carelessness and negligence this abnormal behaviour repeated in all our stages o[censored]pcoming washes.
    We logged complaint to IFB for several times (more than 5 times within a period of 3 weeks – one of such complaint is dated 4/2/10, complaint no. 4096392) but there is no use in all over complaint and the problem repeated inspite of the engineer visit. We also shown the problem to our purchase dealer (Eagle Electronics)and he told he will give permanent solution.

    Until now there is no proper solution from the engineer or the dealer. Both of them assured to rectify the issue with another new machine (IFB) replacement. At present the machine is in dead condition (not rinsing or washing which both of them witnessed and till now there is response – inspite of purchasing the new machine we still wash our cloths through hand wash only).

    Do you think is the way IFB behaves for the customers for problem rectification ??? and more over we are IFB customers for more than 5 years of washing machine usage.

    Kindly look into this issue on top priority and supply us with new machine (we are not satisfied with the existing machine and we don’t want to use these kind of problematic machine life long – as we purchased brand new IFB machine and it is not a second one I hope).

    We need permanent solution with New IFB machine replacement either with the same model or higher end model – if not kindly return our purchase amount with interest so that we will purchase any other brand new good model machine.

    Kindly update at the earliest to rectify the issue.

    IFB WASHING MACHINE — HEAVY NOISE INSIDE THE MACHINE

    Dear sir,
    Our IFB washing machine makes heavy noise, the inside drum is not rotating and the wash water is not flowing out of the machine.Hence we could not use the machine for the past 10 days shortly after finding the fault. Kindly require your attention and service as early as possible.

      Dear Sir,

      My cousin sister Swathi Girija Devi attended a seminar organised by IFBI in Thiruvananthapuram where she resides. The seminar was organised in order to draw students into courses offerred by IFBI in the field of Banking Operations and Financial Services. Based on her eligibility the cond uctor of the seminar Mr Satish offerred her to join the Full time course PGDBFS (Post Graduate Diploma in Banking & Financial Services) at their Chennai institute.As she was interested in joining the course being a resident of Chennai my husband Mr. Debopriyo Sen (Sales Manager Taj Hotels) personally visited the centre located at R.K Salai to enquire about the course. He was given an A class welcome by the team headed by Mr Satish and loads of good things about the course and the insititute was promised. They updated him that the course would start in the month of January 2010. After this Swathi along with her family came down to Chennai in the month of December 2010 and visited the centre with her father , yet again tons of promises followed.Completely trusting the words of the office bearers especially Mr Mathi Accounts Head , Swathi enrolled herself into the course paying the fee amount prescribed. It was promised that the course would start mid Jan 2010. We called up the institute just the week before to confirm the dates and they told us that course will be delayed. by a week. We called them back the next week and found that the concerned in charge Mr Satish has gone away to Kerala to gather more students for this course. We were shocked to here as we thought that the course was in place for many years now and will have sufficient candidates.The institute called up Swathi and asked to come for her first class on a Friday the next week. She attended the induction class and find out that she has been seated in the induction class of students who have enrolled for a different course PGDBO. She was shocked and shatterred at being cheated by the institute. This prompted me to meet the concerned person myself who apparently was still poaching for more such innocent students in Kerala. I personally visited the institute and spoke to Srinivas (not sure of his designatio), he assurred me that Satish will respond to me on the dates. When I finally got to speak to Mr Satish I got to hear with utmost shock that they do not have students to attend the full time course of PGDBFS and are therefore not sure when they can begin the course or if at all they will be able to begin. What they had as of now is only the part time students for this course. He even told me that we had clearly instructed the office bearer not to collect the fees from Swathi as she was the only student who had opted for this course . By this time there was a personal tragedy in Swathi's family and she had to return back. We asked for a re imbursement of fees amount and they immediately jumped up and told that they will not re imburse Rs 3000 which is admission fees.Without even having course they have collected fees from a student and this was the treatment being metted out to them. They gave us a letter on Jan 20th that the fees amount will be re imbursed in 30 working days. Now its over two months and the amount has not yet been re imbursed . I have been calling on a regular basis and keep getting excuses such as year end , audit is going on , head office has to sanction. They are in fact not even willing to provide us with the contact details for the HO in charge .

      My name is EKTA, IFBI is a totally fraud. I want to join IFBI in Nehru place center for coures post graduate diploma in banking operation. they told me that first of all you pay 500/- rupee for examnition charges then you enter the coures . so i agreed all term and condition i paid 500 /- after than someone take my interview asked me normal question, after two days they told me i am not selected in PGDBO
      i am select in 2 months course just like a passing course for knowledgeable in banking related. no job guarantee after the course and big thing is that course fee 35000/-. she told me that i pay fee within 2 days only...and 500/-Rupee nonrefundable...BIG FRAUD...this is just business and fraud..

      Hello Friends,

      I would like to aware you all to avoid and think before enrolling for any via ifbi. i got enrolled in ifbi in the month of august batch but i have not attended any single class at there nehru place branch.
      Due to my job timings clashing with ifbi's class timings.i request and mark a mail to ifbi's faculty anju verma with email id anju.[protected]@niit.com. She told me on phone that it will take 1 week timings and than provided me the ph no of her college Mr Manohar tiwari ph.[protected]. Mr tiwari told me it will take another 2 more weeks as it's showing on your record 4 class attended by you. And till now i have not heard anything from them. This is really frustrating a fee of Rs 16000. not yet refunded.

      I have got my refund but what to say now i have waited for atleast 6 months for
      my refund. i have fighted for 6 months now i got the refund.

      So i can't blame now that they are frauds.

      hello all

      i deepti sharma ex student of ifbi, i am so much tourchered by ifbi chandigarh
      i take admition there at 2 march 2010 for pgdbo programe, firstly they told me ur crieteria does not match for pgdbo so we are shifting you to HDBFS programe which is more benificial they promise to complete it in 3 months but my first 2 ters only take 3 months than they told me to hold for one month and no classes and no attendece will be there...i say that will be wastage of my time.. let me allow to attend my 4rt term's classes with my batch and i will give mu MT's after completion of 3rd and 4th term... head office allow me to do so but they do not take my attendence... mr inder vij said that you take your classes i will complete your attendence... than after that i atend my 3rd term's classes on SLS mode which was fine and succsessfully atempted my MT's i complete all these at 20-23 sep and on 27 sep i get a job in yes bank which was conducted by IFBI only now in march they told me that your MT of 4th term are left and your term is about to expire if you want to continue you may par Rs 1000 and the term will be extended for 3 months... i do the same... now i asked Mr Ashish Rana to arrang my MT's but he is saying that Head office is not permitting me to attend Mt's because my attendence is not updated in system and Mr kamal Vij (professor there) is also refusing to comitt and they are saying either i have to again attend the classes or i have to drop the idea to complete my term... noe one month has gone from those three and two are left and they are not responding to me at all... i am so frustrated now and wants to sue them... this institute is a big froud please i suggest do not take addmission in this...they misguide so many students...and this i have seen myself...
      i beleive that no one complaints without any reason they must have cheated them. there is need to conduct investigation regarding these complaints so that they can get punished if theyu have cheated or they can get cleanchit if they are right.
      there should be investigation conducted regarding these complaints and punish ifbi if they are found guilty or else give them cleanchit so that students can take addmission.
      Ifbi people say they conduct separate interview for ifbi candidates for KVB manager post. If we clear that exam, we will be provided 1 month training course for rs35000, then placement. is it true? Now am jobless . is it worth doing.. pls some 1 help..

        I Mrs.Srilatha Balaji,using IFB washing machine model-Executive plus for the past 8years regularly on AMC coverage. As it started giving trouble I had filed a complaint on[protected] to the IFB Customer care(CustomerID-1802868; complaint no.[protected] ; after giving a reminder on[protected]C,complaint some technitian turned up, attended the fault and he had taken some part for replacement,since then he did not come again with a new part for replacement.On 9th March I had put forth this matter even to AREA MANAGER ;Mrs.Mariam too.The higher executives had given me assurance for the services bynext day but the status is the same.This is the second time I'm experiencing with IFB
        The Bangalore services are really bad.

          I had purchased a washing machine model Executive Plus from M/s IFB
          It is still under warranty. It started water leaking from the botom. Lodged a complaint no.4206228 on 02.03.2010 at their call centre number provided.Till date no action has been taken despite the fact their engineers visited our house twice and gave us assurance to replace a defective part which has not yet been replaced despite our numerous complaints at their call centre and franchise M/s Laxmi Services shop no. 7 Chauhan market Dadri Road Sector 44 Noida.
          Their man named some Mr.Sen, receiving the calls at telephone no.[protected] has stopped receiving our calls.
          I feel cheated having purchased FBI product.
          No one is giving details of Senior Officers.

          IFB Executive Plus Washing Machine — AMC not effective

          I have paid Rs 1781/- vide Receipt cuminvoice No. 1539 dt 30th July 2008 towards AMC for 1 year. I have reported on 11th Nov 2008 about non functioning of spinner and cloths are wet even after completion of wash-dry cycle. Complaint No was 2171616 dt 11.09.2008 tillnot completed due to non-availability of spinner bearing. After repeated reminders about the pending task, one more complaint No 2274674 dt 09.10.2008 was allotted. What about old complaint number? Upto this date 21st Oct 2008, I am receievng reply for my reminders that some body willbe attending within 48Hrs. The sameMsg I am getting in SMS too. But, the truth is the AMC amount Rs 148/pm approxis just to draw the salary of their crew without attending any complaint. Now I feel ashamed of being betrayed by M/S IFBIndustries Ltd., 37, New No 6, Arcot Road, Vadapalani, Chennai - 600026.

          IFB Washing Machine Executive Model — Not attending the calls

          sir,

          our washing machine is being repair for last 4 months.During 1st month itself we call to IFB service persons phone no he came and check the machine and told to us that they want to change barring in the machine.So he entangled us to put AMC and he collect RS 2400/- from us for AMC.He told to us to book complaint after three months .Now we trying to book the complaint for last two weeks through the 24hrs cutomer care but the call is not attend by any one it is always engaged.Due to this we called to that person and asked to him he said after booking complaint only we able to process the problem.So I request you to take steps to attend the call in customer care the no is[protected] otherwise take steps to refund my money.

          IFB Executive Plus Washing Machine — Call not attended for machine under AMC

          I had made the firsty complaint on the 14th of Jan2011. 2 people visited the site and no action was taken. Finally 1 technician came on 4th Feb and took the part above. It was fixed again on the 5thFeb and the compliant still persist. despite of reminders to IFB complaint cell and the service centre no action has been taken till date. The machine is under AMC. When giving AMC they make tall promises and in reallity the service is Pathetic. The complaint are not rectified in a month's time.

          IFB Washing machine-Executive Plus — Leaking machine

          MY washing machine IFB Executive plus is heavily leaking since last few days and complaint lodged vide No6309534 (Consumer id.1486247). Though service persn visited once on 7th May and promised he wil return with spare never turned up till today even though he promised to visit me yesterday also the 16th May 2011.

          I am 80 years old and a retired Central Government officer .We depend on this machine to wash our clothes. Service of this company is going down and not respond quickly. Consumer friendly service is reauired by all companies now who wants to supply things but service after sales is quite poor especially foreign companies.

            i am renu gelda from jaipur i purchased ifb dishwasher 3 years back with 4 years warrenty. from last 3 months there is a complaint of water leakage from the machine but the service center is unable to repair it. i am highly disappointed with the kind of service ifb provides. service center kept our machine for 10-15 days but were unable to solve the problem.

            IFB Dish Washer — service persons not attended

            My dish washer is in warrenty period.The salt chamber sensor is not fuctioning.Evenafter repeated reminders service personals are not attending.

            IFB Dish Washer — Dish washer not being repaired

            We have purchased dishwasher in Ludhiana, It is not being repaired, they say parts are not available. And they want to sell new one so donot want to repair. I have insured it and I say if not repairable please give me certificate to that or repair it. I have lodged my complaint at all levels and I get phone calls my be from call center only but no one turns up.
            I have lodged my complaint to Mr. Arvind Agggarwal who is handling Ludhiana IFB center, After keeping the machine for more than three months it was returned unrepaired.

            IFB Dish Washer — Dish Washer taken for repair 11/2 yr and no response since then

            Horrible after service. We bought IFB dish washer 21/2 yrs ago, with in 3 months there was a problem in the machine and there after repeated f/us the technician attended the complaint and then after a fortnight(again after f/us) they have told machine to be taken to service center for repair. Since then inspite of repeated enquiries also we were not been given clear picture on status of machine since 20 months,

            Pls advise how do go about as we have feeling that

            IFB Dish Washer — Poor Service.

            I have an AMC with IFB (Dealer - HariNidhi Enterprises, Bangalore) for my NEPTUNE Dishwasher from 9th August 2007 (again renewed on 9th Aug 2008 for 1 year). I was promised at least 3 visits per year for Preventive Maintenance. None ever happened. The machine is repeatedly giving error (red light flashes) for "Rinse Aid" during the last 1 year. None of the support personnel have been able to rectify it. Now there is a leakage of dark colour fluid from the machine and we logged a service call. The person has come. Now he says that for Preventive Maintenance we have to log a call with the dealer, otherwise they will not come. Then what's the point of collecting Rs. 2000 for Annual Maintenance Contract? Can someone clarify? I get absolutely pathetic service from the service centre.
            The IFB team, led by the Product Manager Mr. Ashish Kaul attended to the complaint and rectified the problem. The machine is working fine now.

            IFB Dish Washer — Partial delivery

            I had placed an order for IFB Dish Washer Neptune + Luminarc Dinner Set + Gift voucher . They have delivered only the dishwasher . Made a complaint ref No 1069030 on 21/05/2009 and they delivered only the gift voucher. I am yet to receive the DINNER Set. My repeated contacts over phone to them is of no use.

            IFB Dishwasher after services — Very Poor services IFB Dishwasher

            I have an IFB Dishwasher – Zaphyer . I also have an AMC for the machine. I have done repeated complaints but all in vain. My complaint numbers are 1. 4207952, 2. 4347326, 3. 4417755. The engineer came to visit us ones and mentioned that the water pressure is low. We got a pressure pipe installed the next day but still the machine is not taking in water. I called up again to complain but no one is ready to visit us. The engineer is a junior engineer and is not able to diagnose the fault in the machine. The service engineer who visited us is Kishan ( [protected]). But the one who is on duty in our area is Dinesh( [protected]). This engineer is never ready to visit us and it seems he wants under table money to set the machine right. The service centre number where complaints have been lodged is [protected]. No one picks the phone here. We have complained at the central call center too but all those calls have no meaning unless attended to.

            In spite of our repeated telephonic follow up the complaint was not attended and the product is lying defective till date.

            I request you to look into the matter and let me get the justice by getting replaced the defective product. I hope, that the
            financial and mental harassment I encountered during the last 2 months should also be compensated appropriately and the justice will be provided to the consumer so that all of them, manufacturer, dealer and service provider will not take such a liberty to dare to deceive their clients in future.

            Additionally I have also lodged a complaint in the consumer court yesterday for mental harassment and also deceiving a customer with ads of after sales services but not attending post that.

            Looking forward to kindly consider my complaint favorably.

            IFB Dish Washer — Very poor Customer Service

            I bought an IFB dishwasher which is brand new. I have not used it even once. First time when I started it, the water couldn't flow in, called the service center.The technician came and said the salt container is spoilt. The container sits totally inside the machine and can't be seen from outside. To take it out it took them 2 hrs. Then he claims that it is spoilt by rats. In my house we do pest control on a regular basis and there are no rats. How a rat can even go inside the machine and spoil the part that can't even be seen? My machine is still under warantee but they have refused to fix it. They are asking me yo pay for the replacement part.
            I have used IFB dryer for 3 years and it works wonderfully. I never needed any service for it so I had not expereinced IFB service. I trusted their products but after this experience I am never buying IFB again. I would suggest the same to any consumer who i considering IFB products to say think about their poor customer service before buying.

            IFB Dish Washer — Very Poor Service

            Stay away from IFB if you can. If you buy their equipment, pray that it does not fail ever. For if it fails, you are in for serious trouble. Their customer service is the poorest in the country. Log a complaint once, twice, thrice and keep waiting for a response. You have to escalate for anything and everything to be heard. I am waiting for a month after logging calls (last call number 152811, logged on 21st March) for consumables (salt, detergent, rinse aid) required for running their god-forsaken machine. It's a month since I am trying to reach them for consumables. No response. Today their escalation numbers Senthil kumar [protected] and Venkatesh [protected] are also not reachable. I am stuck. Having spent thousands on their machine, now I am paying a few thousands to a maid-servant to wash my dishes. Unfortunately, the consumables are not available in the free market and we are at the mercy of IFB to keep our machine running. Serious issue here. MORAL OF THE STORY: STAY AWAY FROM IFB.

            washing machine is not functioning

            Washing machine is not working properly and the same was informed to showroom people on 18-1-14.non of them attended the problem. Machine purchased on[protected]. model is wm-ifb-fa-6kg-senorita aqua sx-fl. Serial no.[protected].

            Cooling problem last one month

            i have a registered a three (3) times of complaint in your company's staff
            but your technical staff was not supported to us and not resolve my problem so i have decided that the your unit was not good

              My tale of woe - I purchased one 5 kg Digital IFB on 30.11.2007 and it developed some repair on 16.02.2010. I made a complaint to IFB Call Center on 17.02.2010, as above. From that day, endless calls to call center, their local Chennai office, and still on date 04.03.2010, the problem is not solved.

              IFB Service Story: Around 4 service staff of IFB visited and inspected the machine.
              First Mr. Mohan came on 17.02.2010 opened the lid of the machine and said some parts are broken and to be replaced. After 5 days of my calling......calling, one Mr.Raju came and he also inspected and said 2 parts - one front balancing stone and one front PVC half drum which carries this stone to be replaced.
              He did it after 5 days of running and calling and charged Rs.2450.00 for parts and Rs.750 for service charges and totaling I paid Rs.3200.00 on 24.02.2010, but the machine did not work. When changing the parts, he completely dismantled the machine and did the repair. But while re-assembling the machine he made some wrong electrical connection to motor. When the service staff Mr. Raju switched on the machine, it showed error " E-5". He said that he will rectify that next day and walked away with the money.

              Next day he came and did some reconnection to motor and this time error message is "E-7", but Mr. Raju did not come here after, saying that he went on leave(I was told). I made number of phone calls to Call center of IFB and to local office. This time one Mr. Chandraseker came 01.03.2010, opened the lid, went away saying that he will come with some electric spare to test the machine. But did not turn up as on date 04.03.2010.

              Again usual calling, follow up, today 04.03.2010 morning one new service staff Mr. Suresh came. He tried some reconnections, etc. but it did not work. He assured that he will be back today evening (04.03.2010 Thursday) with some spares to test and gone.... gone.... and gone with the wind!!!!

              Conclusion: Even after spending this much time and money, the machine is not useable and not repaired properly.

              Finally, now I have two options before me - one is to scrap this IFB washing machine, sell to a junk scrap dealer or
              Other option is to approach Consumer court in Chennai for deficiency in service.

              IFB has to advice me in this matter.

              IFB - Digital Washing Machine — Unreliable servicing from the compnay

              Dear Sir,
              My customer no. is 1233517
              I am D.Ramaswamy from Chennai,Tamilnadu. I bouht one IFB 5 kgs digital washing machine on 31.10.2007 from one of the authorised dealer in Chennai. This Jan 09;2010, I noticed some water leakage while the machine was running. I made a complaint to IFB call center and some service tech came to attend it,his name being Mr.Anand. At that,he noticed one screw connecting wash drum and corkpad was missing and he searched beneath the machine and fixed it. At that time,I told him to check other screws also, he said all screws are OK ( I doubt whether he checked anything at all).Since it is chargeable service I paid Rs.350/- as service charges.

              Now today,on Feb 17: 2010 - just within 45days, when the machine was running, four - 4- screws came out and the machine made lot of noise. Noticing this, I stopped the machine. Today, I made a complaint again to IFB call center and Mr.Nelson came on line I gave all these problems and the service staff's un-attentive - rather lethargic - attitude.

              Now my question is, Do you want me to pay another Rs.350/- as service charges to IFB, for no fault of mine? If that gentleman attended to that screws properly, I need not worry now.

              What is the way out for this type of petty problems which gives lot of tension to users? Or you supplying your machine with such second hand parts and accessories?
              Your Adv. slogan says- " trouble free working" whereas your service tech says better go for AMC,otherwise you get all trouble. Which statement is true?

              Your immediate response will help me to over come my headache .

                I made a service contract with you on 09/10/09,which expires on 14/11/11, by paying cash Rs2780 vide receipt no 24655. till date I have not received even a single courtesy call from your side for asking how the machine works.Last month I complained for not working of the machine, your serviceman came but with unsatisfactory result. yesterday also I complained on phone[protected] but till now no action is taken.only complain no is given(complain no is 4208756).basically why the complain should come with your advertise saying your Washing machine is ranked as no 1. please improve your service, with one call the attendant should attend the complain, hope the things will improve in future.

                  I HAVE ONE IFB WASHING MACHINE AND IT IS UNDER AMC. .ABOUT TEN DAYS BACK I GAVE A COMPLAINT THAT MY WASHING MACHINE GIVING A LOT OF NOISE. NEXT DAY ONE TECHNICIAN CAME AND CHECKED THE MACHINE . HE SAID THE MACHINE IS ALRIGHT AND LEFT MY HOUSE.. AFTER SOME TIME WATER STARTED LEAKING FROM THE MACHINE. THEN I GAVE A COMPLAINT.                   I am working in Public Sector Bank at Calicut in Kerala State. I am recently transferred from Malappuram District.

                  Before coming to Calicut, I had made a call to the toll free number [protected] and registered a complaint on 03.08.10 about the washing machine Senorita. The request Id was 4882521. We are badly in need of the washing machine as my wife is suffering from chest pain and could not do any heavy duties. As soon as I come to Calicut, I had called to various numbers and on 05/08/2010, some body from IFB came and repaired the machine. Our complaint was about the burn smell and the unusual sound from the washing machine. After their repair also same complaint remains. They told to purchase rubber sleev and hose tube for the repair. We tried again with some of your franchisee numbers and nobody has turned up till date.

                  I request your kind self to interfere in the matter and do the necessary things to make it repair immediately.

                    I bought an IFB Neptune dishwasher from their website in Jan-2008. Since Nov-2008, it started giving problems with its circulation pump. I have 7 complaints filed with their customer service department for the same problem since then (see the complaint numbers below). The local IFB customer service center is extremely bad and unresponsive. Here is what has happened in last 15 months:

                    - After calling again and again from Nov-2008 onwards, they kept delaying the repair. Eventually 3 months later, and having filed 3 more complaints because of lack of action, they replaced the pump under warranty.

                    - But it was a defective pump, and started giving problems in less than one month again. Same story of multiple calls and multiple complaints repeated for a few more months, and they replaced the pump again under warranty in Sep-2009.

                    - Four months later, the pump has stopped working again. And this time, the warranty doesn't cover it because it expired one month ago in Jan-2010. So basically the whole story in last 15 months (from nov-2008 till now) has been to somehow keep replacing the defective pump with an old refurbished defective piece till the warranty period is over. This is a clear case of warranty fraud. The replacement pumps installed in the dishwasher have had manufacturing dates that are older than the dishwasher itself.

                    - Even on saying that I am willing to pay for the repairs now, the local service center people are delaying the job again and again making different excuses. And on top of that, they have even stopped picking up the phones because of complaints, including Parveen, and the local head Gobinderjeet Singh.

                    I have appliances from many different brands including Samsung, LG, Onida, Videocon in 3 different houses owned by my family; and IFB is the worst in customer service. The IFB service experience has been so bad that everyone I know will not buy an IFB product even if it is given for free. The cost of agony and pain having to go through the experience with their customer service alone is much more than that. I have no option left but to go to consumer court with all the records and proofs now, including phone call records of numerous calls that I have made for this one problem (it must be over 70 calls by now). That seems to be the only way out now.

                      IFB service is non existent, they collect AMC fees ( Annual Maintenance Contract) and never show up to fix problems. My complaint for a non working washing machine is pending since January 22nd 2010 and IFB is yet to fix the same. I have called their help lines [protected], Mr. Saravanan, IFB Regional Manager [protected], and service manager Mr. Parthasarathy [protected] and yet no one has come to fix the problem. One technician came to inspect the machine and disappeared saying that he needed to get the parts for fixing the machine and there has been no sign of him.

                      In the absence of my complaint not being attended to I have repeatedly asked for a refund of my AMC money and that has also not been fulfilled. What can be done to bring these people to justice? This seems like a scam to get money from unsuspecting consumers under the corporate guise.

                        Dear Sir / Madam ,

                        iam Chandrika loacated in chennai.I have an IFB top loading washing macine which is under warranty period booked in my husband's name S. Sesahdri sekar.
                        On 13 th feb i have launched a complaint with your customer care in b'lore that there is a problem in my machine ( the delicate button " start" is not working / complaint no : 4137878)..
                        i was told that your representative will turn up within 24 hours to attend the complaint. But he attended on 17 th of feb which is after 4 days after my complaint and he found that there is a problem in the " PCB " board which has to be replaced.

                        Today is 25 th of feb and till today the " PCB" board has not been replaced and no body knows when will the PCB board come for replacement.Even after repeated calls to your customer care center there is no use.I donot know whom to contact in this reagrd .If this is the case that IFB handles the customers regret to say that this is highly not appreciable.Will wait for a day for the out come if still no body is not attending my call i have no other choice but to go for a consumer court as my machine is still under the warranty period.

                        CAN SOMEBODY WAKE UP AND ATTEND THIS ISSUE IMMEDIATELY.
                        YOUR IMMEDIATE RESPONSE IN THIS REGARD WOULD BE HIGLY APPRECIATED.

                          Poor service from the day 1 from IFB

                          After Purchase of New IFB Senator Dx 6 Kg, for Rs. 27,100/- the first day of service from IFB (for installation service) was one of the poorest I had seen from manufacturer of world class washing machines in India.

                          Machine was purchased on 21.2.10 and delivered on 23.02.10.(Croma- Ghatkopar West invoice no.[protected] dtd. 21.2.10)

                          The guy from IFB visited our home at 4.00 PM (on 24.02.10), was not interested in machine installation but in selling his washing powder, his steel washer etc.

                          For steel washer he was asking for Rs. 250. When I did not pay him and bought it ourselves for Rs. 40, he refused to install the machine stating he will not connect pipes and I should call a plumber.

                          I was using another washing machine at the same spot and all plumbing is in place, so the guys insistence that pipe connection is not installation but it is work of plumber was very annoying.

                          The guy left without installing the new machine.

                          However the selling company - Croma (Ghatkopar East branch, Mumbai) was of great help and they are trying to get the machine installed, but IFB is great disappointment.

                              This is the second time I am complaining regarding the same issue. I bought an IFB microwave machine on Christmas for my mother. They gave us a defective machine. Shahs a shop in Chennai have a policy (very convenient, i must add) that once you buy any product they wash their hands off it.ie You are responsible for contacting the company of your product. Thus I will not be buying at this Shahs again.

                              Well, I got this microwave and after calling them about 100,000 times to replace the darn machine they arrive after 1 month with some motorbike and bring us this replacement.. We were going to go to the police the next day if they did not come.. we were fed up of it all.. and this is just a microwave. Now we have the new machine from IFB India and it works but they have left the old machine here at our home. They promised to pick it up immediately. These south indian service people have not till now. And now it is 2+ months away from the time of purchase.

                              Anyways a few days back I called IFB service again and they told me to call some Chennai guy who will pick it up. I have called a Mr.(I will not name him in case of legal issues) from Chennai. He has promised to come last week. And guess what he did not come. When I called him he knew our exact location and knew exactly what he had to do. So why did he not come?

                              Is this like the worst service in the world or what? What do I do with the old defective machine they left? Any ideas? Can I throw it away? Because I am not calling again.

                              In any case I am registering a complaint against IFB service in Chennai. And a note for IFB India.

                              Btw. when I read the report they have taken regarding my last complaint they mentioned that I was adamant for changing the defective machine. In my defense.. who would not be adamant if the company takes one month and if their machine is not working? I would rather have bought from any other company but it looks like i made a mistake! It does not make sense .. sorry.

                              I have tried what I could and dont want to anymore. If they dont want their machine I want to get rid of it some other way. I am a german citizen but honestly even though IFB is collaborated with German technology etc.. its got to be on the top of the list for one of the worst service in the world.

                              IFB / 20 Lt Microwave Oven — Unresponsive / Terrible Service

                              I bought an IFB from SHAHS in Adyar, Chennai for my mother this Christmas. When I brought it home the Microwave was defective and not working. I called immediately and the SHAHS people called IFB and said they are responsible and not them (very unfriendly system in the first place). 2 days later they sent 2 IFB representatives. They confirmed defective IFB microwave and promised to exchange machine.

                              Well, just to add before I explain .. The real frustration I had was due to a very unfair policy of SHAHS (http://www.shahs.co.in/) is as soon as you buy the electronic item you CANNOT RETURN any item and that it is now upto the dealer to contact you regarding any bought item. Very weird policy of taking their hands of any item that they sell. Unfair I would say.

                              Well, till today the IFB have NOT exchanged defective machine as promised they would 1 week ago. SHAHS have taken off any responsibility (because of their very unfair policy) and so here I am at home with a brand new defective machine that they are not exchanging. We have been calling SHAHS and IFB but I am getting really fed up and I feel cheated and very unhappy with this system.

                              Since I am German citizen (I am half Indian German) I am used to a very different system in Germany which is very fair and straight forward. I do not know if this is common in India and thus want to register this complaint first here if it is any help.

                              Next Microwave — Worst service of the world

                              From past 2 months I am trying to get my microwave fixed from NEXT company. Till today they are not able to fix it. On the top of that they took my microwave from home and not telling any progress on that. I am calling them from past 2 months to fix this.

                              From past 1 month they are saying it will be at your home in 2 days. Till today didnt come. and many times they speak rudely and cut the phone on my face. I really dont know what to do about them. They are worst people in the market to sell any product. They really dont care about any customer complaints. I have already spent around 1000 rupees just calling them and asking the status. They never call back.

                              IFB MICROWAVE — worst service

                              I bought IFB Microoven Model-30sc2. This is the company which has worst customer service back i have ever experienced.The product has arlier developed some heating problem after long wait it was done ok.Now again last 4 months again it has developed similar problem for which I have complained several times one of the complaint no. is 5057711 customer id:2137232.again after several attempt a technician visited my house and says it is panel problem.it has to be replaced which does not include in AMC. But there is nowhere mentioned in the AMC receipt that it will not cover.The technician at the time of signing AMC contract told that any problem any part of the oven is covered in AMC.Now I feel that the company is cheated me.

                                sir,
                                we are having one IFB FRONT LOADING DIGITAL WASHING MACHINE Model No (10707/Digital) and also we are having Annual Maintenance Contract up to 18/06/2011.
                                The Washing Machine is not working for the last 25 days and we informed the local service center and of no use and then we made a complaint (complaint no 4153376) on 18/02/2010 to "24 Hrs" CUSTOMER CARE ( of IFB) [protected] . They promised us to do the needful within 2 days. Sofar they have not rectified the same.

                                What is the use of having AMC and even in a METRO CITY (CHENNAI), they are not able to give immediate service to rectify the mistake.

                                  This is Dhanasekar, residing in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. I had entered AMC with IFB Industries and AMC is valid till 1st October 2010. My customer code is 2074751. I own an IFB Supremo Washing machine since 1999. I had lodged a complaint that my Washing machine is making a hell a lot of noise and also that it is moving hither and thither while the spin is on. In November 2009, one of your service personnel by name Mr.Arivudoss attended the complaint and replaced the ball bearing claiming it to be defective, simultaneously, he had been very keen in pushing the products launched by IFB like descal powder, water softener etc. and compelled me to buy a minimum of 4 packets and took a cheque towards its cost in the name of Classic Enterprises. The noise and vibration problem was persistent and the very next day I complained to the fellow who had attended service. Thereafter one your nano technician came home to teach me how much clothes I should load and how much I should use, ignorant of the fact that I own the machine since 1999. After that inspite of all the efforts I gained to register a complaint through toll free with great struggle (server down, computer is not functioning, etc) and one of the service personnel had come to say that the bearing in the motor is jammed and tried replacing the same with another reconditioned/ serviced motor (Not a new one) taking away the motor from my machine and also replaced the belt connecting the motor even though it was in good condition and charged me another Rs.660 + for that and tried to take away the old belt. On compulsion, he had returned the belt and left the place. Next day, when the machine was put to use, i came to understand that he has fixed the motor of Executive model instead of Supremo. I immediately, called him and complained, he said that the motor for supremo is not readily available and will be replaced in a weeks time. But, it is almost a fornight has lapsed, my call remains unattended under the pretext that the motor for supremo model is not available. I doubt whether they are trying to recondition the motor that has been taken from my machine and place it back. I request you to intrude into the matter and find a salvation immediately.

                                    I want to let everyone know that I bought a IFB Senator DX washing machine that was completely faulty even as it reached my home for the first time.I was cheated right from the start, when i bought the machine.The employees at a NEXT showroom(where i bought) said that demonstration cannot be done at the showroom and I had to get it home.

                                    Even in its first run when an IFB associate installed the machine it made LOT OF NOISE, he remarked that the product is faulty. Now I have been after these guys since then.Made hundreds of phone calls. The one very disturbing answer I get is that the product is already bought and hence it cannot be replaced - It can only be fixed. Now here something more disturbing. As I lodged a complaint with IFB about the faulty machine, technicians kept coming and going without any solution, no solution. I kept arguing I want a replaced working product. They kept dragging the situation, opened the machine did something and make some stupid excuse everytime. That some spring has to replaced, you need a stand or stabilizer is require.I did everything.You wont believe it has been an year now. Still no solution. No IFB associate answers my call.Technicians make stupid excuses and leave.

                                    There was a customer satisfaction certificate that had to be filled by me but the technicians never referred to it because it was going to be negative.I have appliances at home from different companies and only one IFB appliance because someone said they are the best washing machine manufacturers.And that is the only one that is faulty. Really pathetic product and Unacceptable customer service.
                                    For anyone going for a machine never go for IFB, i indeed found out from many that there washing machine produces loud noise.Never Buy IFB. Period

                                      Very poor after sales Service. There was some problem in one ‘touch pad key’ of IFB Microwave (though ideally it should not happen in IFB MW). I complained one month back (complaint no. 4066996 Date 26/01/20010). Then followed two three times on phone then only a technician came. Initially I was told it’s a small problem and would be repaired by the technician at the site. Technician came and told a part is required which will cost 2000/- (I bought MW in 5000/-). Later when I said its expensive and I need bill he said it will cost 700 – 800/- and he will get it in five days. Then no information either from technician or IFB for a month.

                                      Then again I complained five days back (complaint no. 4144769 Date 15/02/2010) but still no response from anyone. I will wait for few more days….

                                      IFB MICROWAVE — Lack of response

                                      I have lodged a complaint vide ref no. 2151255 on 5.9.08 at 13.45 hrs with the Service Centre of IFB, at Bangalore . The microwave is under warranty and it is just 4 months old !

                                      On 6th Sept, one of the service technicians visited and stated that certain components needs to be replaced (which would be done in the next couple of days). Even after 10 days of my lodging compaint and persistent follow up with the service centre, I am yet to get a resolve to the problems. The Service centre staff has no clue on the timelines to close this complaint.

                                      I fail to understand the the attitute of the biggies like IFB .
                                      towards the customer service.

                                      I would urge through consumercomplaints.com that someone responsible from IFB headquarter understand the concerns and redress the same without any further delay.

                                        machine does not switches off after washing. we can not open the door. It is a front loading machine.

                                        we have a front loading IFB washing machine. The machine once switched on will not stop but it continuously runs. we have to switch off the main power to the machine. the main problem is we can not open the door of the machine and thus the clothes remains inside the machine. we have not been able to take the clothes out of the machine at all....
