I have a senorita DX washing machine still under warranty. On 13/6/09 the door got jammed with the clothes inside. On calling customer care, a technician came and opened the machine and removed the door. He said that the lock has to be replaced and he will bring the same the next day. Till today(18/6/09) nobody has turned up. Everyday I keep calling- they are very rude on the phone and everyday they keep asking details as if it is a new complaint. They say stock is not there- it will come tomorrow ( tomorrow never comes!)

Now the front door is not locking properly and the machine is not working.

    Dear Sir

    I have IFB Washing Machine Sanetor with Sr. No: WTSTR - 36967 purchased at Jammu on 6-5-03 from Lok Shakti electronics, 19 B/D Gandhi Nagar Jammu J&K 180004.
    After just about 6 Months of purchase its Fan Belt snapped damaging electric wiring. the fan belt was replaced and wiring repaired (not replaced).
    My Washing Machine is non functional for want of Fan Belt, since broken, for the last almost 1 Year
    I have been requesting many time to S.S automation, 81 A Second Extension Gandhi Nagar Jammu to repair the machine but every time, the service center informs that they have no fan belt in stock and promised to procure it from Chandigarh
    May i request you to kindly advice the service centre jammu to procure and fix fan belt immidieately. you are further requested to oversee the function of service centre for satisfactory after sales service
    Hope you will be kind enough to adress my problem at the earliest.

      Dear Sir,
      Please note that I have purchased (at Rs.4, 399) your IFB Microwave Oven Model Name 17PG1S Sl no.-IFB[protected] Cash memo no.-756 on 11/09/2008 from Durgapur (NATIONAL ELECTRONICS Branch: Suhatta, City Centre, 713216). It has been remained out of order since nearly four months. I reported it at your Durgapur Service Centre over telephone immediately after its cease of functioning.
      But it is sorry to say that instead of any prompt action in this respect, Durgapur Service Centre remained silent strangely though I was repeatedly knocking them to make its repair. I also informed Kolkata Service Centre also a few times, within these three months. Lastly a mechanic from Durgapur attained my house nearly one month ago and examined the oven. He informed us that a spare part of the oven had to be replaced which was not at his hand at that time and also assured that he would make it repair within a couple of days.
      But unfortunately no one came here again. Now I find no other alternative than to complain at CONSUMER FORUM if you do not respond practically even after issuance of this letter.

      Hello,

      I purchased this microwave in Kolkata on 26th Jan and got it to Bangalore on 17 April. I started using this only in Bangalore. On around 20th May, a complaint was raised as it stopped working. It took almost 5 days for the 1st technician to come to see what the problem was. He discovered that the circuit board was damaged which will be replaced the next day. I did not hear from him/service center for the next 3 days. When I called, they said the part was not available, which is a little difficult to believe in Bangalore!!!
      After 5 days, the technician arrived with a replacement part, but still could not resolve the problem. After another week and about 7-10 calls, the microwave was taken to the service Center for repair. The 2nd day, the microwave was returned. When tested for 7-10 secs by the technician at my place, it worked. But it only worked then. When we tried using it next morning, it wouldn't work!!! So I raised another complaint on Sat, 14th June, when I was told that someone would come on Monday. No one came, when I called, I was told Tuesday. Still no one came and now I'm told some one will come tomorrow. I have the same product in Kolkata and I haven't faced a problem in 3 years. I starting to lose faith in your brand and products. The service received so far is way below standards. Its almost a month I'm facing this issue, and its hard to understand that a brand like your does not have qualified
      technicians who can resolve this. I am wasting my warranty period over this issue, not able to use the product and also being harassed by having to constantly call the customer service and repeat my sob story over and over and again.

      I would hence request you to:
      a) Replace the product.
      b) Extend my warranty.

      Upset and frustrated consumer.

        Purchased IFB Washing Machine Model - Elite 5 Kg from Alfias IFB Point, Jodhpur dated 21-8-07 VIDE Bill No.- 032. The machine is in the extended warranty period dated from[protected] to[protected] as per VAT retail Invoice no.- 6533. dated[protected] of IFB Industries Ltd., at Jaipur.
        Previously the machine encountered a problem with the bearings. We even asked Alfias Point (Mr. Ramzan Khan)for the contact information of your higher authorities but they refused to give any relevant information about the company senior officers, saying that they do not have any information about them. But we manage to get information from M/S Sanklecha Bro.(P ) Ltd, Jalori Gate, Jodhpur. We handed over the machine to the Service Center S. D Refrigeration, Jodhpur after making a complaint to the Jaipur office.
        They even told us not to bring the Washing Machine to service center because they did not have enough space to accommodate the machine and did not have the parts in Jodhpur. We informed about this to Mr. Alok Khetiar and Mr. Deepak. Mr. Alok Khetiyar informed us that he was sending bearing from Jaipur and then it was replaced by your Jodhpur service center.

        But again it encounterd a problem and started making noise from inside as if something was broken in the machine. We asked the Dealer at Alfias Point to send a technician to make a check on the machine, but he told that he is not responsible for the problem and couldn't send a technician. We again made a complaint to the jaipur Office, then, Mr. Alok Khetiyar from Jaipur(Mob - [protected] ) came to Jodhpur and checked it and told us that the noise was general. But still it seems to be wrong somewhere. And is now completely damaged. It seems that the machine sent to us was defective at the time of purchase.
        Today i.e 15 JUN 2009 we again made a complain to the call center and they gave us a complaint no. - 3142149. Technicians Mr. Dharmendra and Mr. Irfan visited and checked the machine. Theyfound that the fan belt Megadyne EL 1333 was broken and top weight nut bolt were loose. Due to this broken fan belt the wiring had encountered a cut.

        NOW I REQUEST YOU VERY KINDLY REPLACE THE MACHINE FORTHWITH BECAUSE I AM NEITHER IN A STATE NOR IN A MOOD TO TAKE THE BURDEN OF COMPLAINING ABOUT THE MACHINE NOW AND THEN TO YOUR RUDE AUTHORIZED DEALER AND SERVICE CENTER PERSON AT ALFIA'S IFB POINT AND S. D. REFRIGERATION RESPECTIVELY, OTHERWISE I WILL BE BOUND TO TAKE STERN ACTION AGAINST YOUR ESTEEM ORGANIZATION.

        For that whatever legal expenses will be borne by us and your organization will be bound to pay.

        Our ID - 836970 . We are from the house of Ex-Chief Minister of Tamilnadu. We have booked a complaint about non-functioning of the washing machine on the 9th of October. We have been told by the service person that the parts he brought was not suitable to rectify the defect and hence asked us to wait for two days. Later they said they have organised and coming for service on last Tuesday. But he did not come. Similarly we have been asked to wait at home twice the full day.
        Now when reported to Mr Mahadevan, Manager, he is telling that the sensor is yet to be received from IFB which is out of stock.

        If this is the position from the company for a spare, that too for a VIP residence, we fail to understand the policy of the management. We are confident that there cannot be such a shortage in the company for more than 15 days. We expect atleast a response for this mail with immediate effect .

          I had purchased an IFB microwave oven, model-30 SRC1 on 5th June(2009), from IFB INDUSTRIES LTD UP EAST, Lucknow. The person who had dealt with my order assured me that on paying the full amount(Rs.11, 500), the product would be delivered at my recidence in Tanda, Ambedkarnagar, within 3-4 days.I paid the entire amount & received a receipt for payment of the samecam.I came back to wait for the delivery of my purchase.Not having received the item till wednesday, I called up the people from where I had bought the microwave & since then I am having a nightmarish time as the person who dealt with my purchase has given me a number of a desk phone, which is always picked up by inexperienced staff who don't even know how to deal with customers.The concerned person is hardly ever available.Then I was given the number of a person who is with the courier with which they are supposed to have despatched the microwave.This fellow has me dancing to a fine tune.For the past 3 days he's being saying that the microwave is being sent & will be reaching us in the morning(day before yesterday), evening (yesterday & today).All this while, this so called executive of IFB(who had handled my purchase), has been unavailable. This whole episode-callousness of the executive, endless phonecalls from my side to trace my purchase, has left me very bitter about my experience with IFB.Till date I haven't received my microwave.All I want to do is cancel my order now.Please help.

            Hi,

            I have been using IFB washing machine for close to 2 years now. However, latetly I have noticed that the clothes are not drying properly. The service center personnel visited twice. The first time I was advised to run the decalcification cycle (which I anyway did after every 30 washes as per the instruction). That didn't help and the clothes still came out after the cycle damper than usual. There was also a lot of water logging at the bottom of the machine. The second time round the person came on his own (for the first time in a year) stating that my machine was still under warranty/AMC therefore its the regular check up. when I explained the problem to him I was told that the drying or the lack of it had to do with the detergent (!!!) and I should not use Ariel (or any other detergent even if its meant for front loading m/c) but Sur[censored]ltramatics that was 'launched' (I think he meant endorsed) by IFB, the strangest most illogical reason I have come across. I would like to know if this is a possibility or has someone else observed this in their own experinece with a front-loading washing machine.

              Demonstration not performed

              I have purchased one IFB washing machine model no. AW 7233 from QRS Retail ltd., MG Road, Thiruvananthapuram on 03/06/09 vide invoice No. 003685. The machine was delivered on 04/06/09. But till date none of your men have visited my home and given demonstraton. I have purchased this machine after exchanging my old one. I have contacted the dealer and the service centre several times on phone which yielded no result....

              I reside in avadi chennai. I am facing water leakage problem in my washing machine for quite some days. So I launched a complaint on 6 jun 2009 and complaint no:3113024. Call center representative took my complaint and gave Mr. Rajesh's no ([protected]) responsible for servicing my machine. I called him the same day and pleaded him for further action. Nobody seems to care about the customer.
              I would like to see someone attending to the complaint tomorrow.

              It has been 5 days i have asked IFB customer care centre to install my machine at my home, for i came on transfer to Goa but yet no response .It is a real surprise for me as IFB being such reputed company cares like this for their regular customer. ticket number 3140564 and it has been promised by the customer care re-presentative that the complaint will be attended within 24 hrs. I am still waiting for 24 HRS from 14th June 2009.

              Sub: PATHETIC AFTER SALES SERVICE


              Complain for " water leakage" and "strange sound" for IFB Supremo washing machine was registerd on 4th Jul 09 on IFB telephone number 30282468 and my complaint registered number is 3050548.

              Till date, machine is not repaired. It has been, almost a month and several calls reminding IFB has failed. A unskilled engineeer from Sigma Enterprises - Mumbai was deputed and now seems to be absconding after dismantling the machine. Attempts, made to Contact Senior Managers Mr. Manoj Kumar (mobile: [protected]) and Mr. Nitesh Jain (mobile :[protected]) {Incidently - numbers & name given by IFB call centre, not sure whether they are false} failed, as they are not answering.

              Assurance is given by call centre that service will be attended within a "short time" which is now more than 28 days and yet to come.

              Would like to know, when our machine will be repaired and what further action can be taken.

              Hi, I registered a complaint with IFB Customer care and my complaint no. is 4390370. The customer care executive has committed that the complaint will be attended within 24 hours but nothing happened till date except making reminder calls to customer care. I even received the local service center Number (Chennai Number) and also the serivce center manager's mobile number (Meeranjan - [protected]) but none of them attend the call and I really doubt whether such service centres really exist in the globe.

              I am experiencing the same problem after a span of 1.5 years and do not know whom to address this issue. The more interesting factor is that still these people market the product ruthlessly with false commitments and fooling the other consumers.

              Please let me know the contact details of the right person to whom this complaint has to be lodged so that I can get my service attended sooner without any further delay.

              service person of ifb are not properly trained, they never repair only replace.even in my case they are behind me for buying a new ifb machine.

                  We had taken IFB Senorita bx & other things like Whirlpool Fridge and Bajaj Food Processor from Dass Shop Aundh dated 16th Nov 2008.

                  We had taken the delivery on 17th Nov 2008 but we did not open that machine and taken to Bangalore one month back.

                  After opening the package we observed following problems with machine:
                  1) Lock Nut was not provided.It had hit the casing and created a hole.
                  2) One spring was lying the floor.
                  3) External casing had got damaged.

                  We had given a complaint with IFB Customer care having following ticket no:

                  Initially there was positive response given by Mr.Michel for replacing the set but later on after 20days he had denied to give the replacement.

                  Please look into the matter Urgently and give us replacement.

                        Sub : Regarding the trouble in my IFB fully-automatic washing machine ‘DIVA’ model.

                        Dear Sir,

                        As per my discussion regarding above with your Quality Head, Mr. V.S. Parihar (at Bhopal), the case is still pending for your kind consideration.

                        Although you would be aware of the case, but still I would like to bring the same to your kind knowledge that my washing machine tears cloths. Ordinary/thick cloths torn like a cut and hosiery/vests, etc. get holed in a group.

                        Almost none of you executives could detect the defect, even after 6 months’ continuous every type of check up on-site/off-site. I know such cases do not arise in branded item (that’s why people buy branded), but rarely they do, and this could be one of them.

                        In fact, the problem was from initial but I observed it later and since then I have been complaining the same since last one year, but still the problem persists. I’ve got fad up with the problem because my cloths are being damaged, and the matter is still not being taken seriously. I may approach for my rights to consumer forum.

                        I request you to please send my cloths back (which have been taken by your executives with a promise to return within 10 days or payment will be given, but even after 1½ months lapsed neither has been done). Should I collect them also from court ! It would also be given to the media as well.

                          I had registered my complain with IFB Service Center for Kharghar, Navi Mumbai area on Friday, 29th May 2009. My ticket number is 3082998. The technician came on Saturday, checked the machine and said the the rubber between the drum has torn so you will have to replace it. the cost is Rs.200/-. I said Ok. He said he will ask the other engineer to come on Monday and do the repair. I asked him to call and come. He did not call me. When i called on Tuesday, they said that the engineer had come to my place at 3.40 pm on Monday, but there was no electricity so he went away. He said that he had entered his name in the register with the security. I checked, there was no entry by his name or IFB's name. After complaining this to their office, Tuesday another engineer comes, he opens the machine and says there are two faults - the rubber has crack and the hose pipe is leaking . Also he said that you will have to change the belt of the motor, which I have changed last year and there was no complain about it. My machine was running fine except the leakage.now the cost of repair has gone to Rs. 900/- I tried to start the machine on Wednesday. only the motor was running and the drum was not moving.the engineer has done some mischief with the belt of the motor. I called the service centre the lady said that there is shortage of parts, it will take 3 to 4 days to arrange for it. Now I can not use my machine for last two days. the Office incharge Mr. Neeraj singh is not at all answering his mobile([protected]) the other officer Mr. Param Yadav, promised me that today, 4th June 2009 I will see that your machine get functioned. But nobody has turned up in spite of calling three times in the office.

                            Ihave been requesting for supply one belt for replacement in the ifb washing purchased by my friend now working in addis ababa, ethiopia. senator 6kg. belt model megadyne el 1333j6., I sent three emails and contacted phone no.[protected] thrice, was promised for delivery within 48 hours, but no response till now. As my friend is going to addis ababa, i want to send the belt through him.I tried to contact [protected], but swithced off. i am sending this email as a complaint as i find no other way to contact you for supply of belt. i have been askig for supply of belt for the 10 days, but yet to be supplied. please arrange to deliver the belt atlest now.
                            i purchased one ifb washing machine last year for my daughter under the presumption that your after sales service will be good as the machine working is also good. please do the needful urgently

                              I had requested for a new Tub for my Washing machiene and complained in their Call Centre Number. There has been no response and no one is attending to our requests. The IFB Staff also compel and enforce us to take the AMC Contract, failing which they dont even respond to requests.

                              I Purchased My IFB. ELENA EX. washing machine last year From Milli Electronic Silvassa. But now its not works properly. So called IFB Customer care center, and told my Problem to Mr. Brijesh Nayar. He gave me Complaint no. but there is no service provide to me from last seven days. and again I called the Milli electronic, they assured me that their engineer would come with in 24 hours. But nobody came. So please do the needful in this regard.

                                COMPLAINT HISTORY FOR IFB WASHING MACHINE AND IMPROPER RESPONSE

                                Dear Sir,
                                Really it is a matter of great disappointment as the way the abovesaid machine has performed .It was purchased on[protected] with invoice No.DEL/NTS/0127/08-09.The total cost paid was Rs 22500/-The D.O. number was 3852.
                                Exactly after 1 year the machine started showing problems.The following is the detail
                                1.Unbearable Voice - Customer care was asked to solve but the response was very poor.Ultimately after a great deal of efforts for 5 days a person came and told that trolley stand is not proper whereas the stand was also purchased from IFB outlet.The person came and adjusted the stand and the sound stopped temporarily.
                                2.Again after a week the machine started making sound this time more louder and vibratios also started.Again we called service centre as well as the area manager Mr Amit Anand (mobile no.[protected]) with some anger and as usual the service centre responded after 5 days and a person came and told to adjust the drum behind the machine but all in vain we told to check the machine by starting it but he told that you need not worry it will work but alas! it could.So after 10 days it was in the improper condition and not workable.
                                3. Again we lodged the complaint and after a great effort the phone was picked.Ultimately a mechanic came and told that the belt behind the machine is to be adjusted and he did but after 4 days again the machine started the same problem.Then from customer care we were given a mobile number of some Mr Ravi ([protected]) but he asked to call Mr Vijay and we called.Now these people have told that they will change the belt as the belt which they had brought was shorter.
                                4. Now the condition is the machine is not working and the concerned persons want to take the machine with them so we have agreed because the suggetion was from the customer care where we have already told to bring an authorization letter and their identity proof so that we can rely and handover the machin.

                                SIR THE ABOVESAID PROBLEM HAS CAUSED US LOSS OF TIME, MENTAL AGONY RESULTING IN LESS EFFICIENCY, LOSS OF HEALTH, FINANCIAL LOSS OF SALARY AND OFCOURSE TELEPHONES & PETROL CHARGES. THE FOLLOWING AMOUNT SHOUD BE GIVEN TO US FROM THE COMPANY IN LIEU OF THE ABOVESAID PROBLEMS.IF NOT RESPONDED (BY REPLACING THE MACHINE)
                                1.MENTAL AGONY FOR ONE AND HALF MONTHS = Rs 1, 50, 000
                                2. LOSS OF SALARY DUE TO LESS EFFICIENCY IN THE OFFICE = 2500 X 10 = 25, 000
                                3. DISC PROBLEM TO MY WIFE AS THE CLOTHES WERE WASHED MANUALLY = 50, 000
                                3. EXTRA EXPENSES viz PETROL, TELEPHONE ETC = 2, 30, 000

                                TOTAL AMOUNT = 1, 80, 000/- (TWO LAKH AND THIRTY THOUSAND)

                                SIR IF STILL YOU DO NOT RESPOND THEN I WILL BE FORCED TO TAKE LEGAL COURSE OF ACTION THROUGH THE CONSUMER FORUM/COURT AGAINST YOU.

                                  My IFB microwave oven had a trouble and I complained at the local IFB service centre at Kochi. They send me a complaint ticket number via sms : 3070810 on 26th May 09, promising service within 48 hours.Despite my follow up ever since that practically everyday, they've not turned up.
                                  Its been more than 7 days since I cmplained.

                                  MY FOLLOWING COMPLAINT HAS REMAINED UNATTENDED SINCE LAST 4 MONTHS. THE IFB MICROWAVE MODEL 20SC1 IS NOT WORKING AND THERE IS NO RESPONSE FROM YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I HAD MADE THE FOLLOWING COMPLAINT ON 7.5.2009 AFTER MY EARLIER CALLS REMAIN UNATTENDED. I NEED YOUR QUICK INTERVENTION.
                                  IFB MICROWAVE OVEN MODEL-20SC1 WAS PURCHASED BY ME IN SEPTEMBER 2007 FROM BHOPAL. SUBSEQUENTLY I GOT TRANSFERED TO RAIPUR IN MAY 2008. IN SEPTEMBER 2008 I LODGED A COMPLAINT WITH YOUR CALL CENTRE AND ALSO WITH THE LOCAL IFB SERVICE CENTRE REGARDING MALFUNCTIONING OF THE OVEN. THE CALL WAS ATTENDED AFTER 0NE MONTH IN OCTOBER AND SOME MINOR REPAIR WAS MADE. THE PROBLEM WITH THE OVEN AGAIN RESURFACED IN JANUARY 2009 AND SINCE THEN I HAVE LODGED ALMOST 10 COMPLAINTS TO YOUR LOCAL SERVICE CENTRE AT RAIPUR AND ALSO TO YOUR CALL CENTRE AND THE COMPLAINT STILL REMAINS UNATTENDED. MY COMPLAINT REFERENCE IS 2136927 WHICH I GOT FROM YOUR CALL CENTRE 2 MONTHS BACK. I REGRET YOU ARE SHOWING TOTAL DISRESPECT TO A CUSTOMER CALL AND PROBABLY ARE LEAST CONCERNED ABOUT ATTENDING TO CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS. TODAY AT 3.40 PM I CONTACTED YOUR CALL CENTRE AND TO MY UTTER DISMAY THE CALL WAS DELIBERATELY DISCONNECTED. PRIOR TO THAT THE SERVICE ENGINEER CLEARLY INDICATED THAT HE IS NOT IN A POSITION TO ATTEND TO THE COMPLAINT. THIS IS REALLY A SORRY STATE OF AFFAIRS AT IFB. NOW I AM PLANNING TO SEND BACK MY MACHINE BACK TO YOUR HEAD OFFICE THROUGH COURIER SO THAT YOU CAN KEEP IT IN THE ARCHIVE FOR SHOWING TO YOUR FUTURE CUSTOMERS ABOUT THE POOR QUALITY OF YOUR PRODUCTS AS WELL AS UR USELESS CUSTOMER SERVICE.

                                  Am having a IFB micro oven 25PG1S which was purchased through indiatimes.com in the year 2007. Presently the machine is under amc. It is giving us problem on a number of occasion earlier. At present the machine is out of order for the past 4 weeks. It was attended by the company representative on two occasions. But still the machine is not repaired till today reasons are still unknown to me and company representatives/office are not responding to the repeated telephone calls giving vague reply.

                                  My Microwave oven was given for a minir repiar to Star Engineering, Coimbatore and the repair was made and a charge of 450 was recovered for H>V>Diode. The oven worked for 3 dya and the same complaint persists and now the ovn is not working and I made a complaint on 13/7/2009 and the complaint No. is 3253683 and I contacted Star Engineering for rectification of the same and I was promised that the the complaint will be lookwed next day. Nobody has come so far. Today again I contacted and one Mr.Madheswaran, Technician promised to attend to day evening. Nobody has come. The service is very very poor. If this is the situation, definitely you will lose your customers Please look into the matter urgently.

                                    I bought the IFB washing machine Elena DX on 23rd January 2009 at Pondicherry. It was installed at our Chennai house on 21st February. But the IFB service man who installed it mentioned the installation date as 21.01.2009. How could they install the machine before buying? We called the customer care so many times but no answer.
                                    The 2nd big issue is that the machine is leaking, when we switch on the machine, in 15 mins our house will float in water. The Customer care is completely useless. The so called customer care representatives like Radha, Viji, Fatima are totally Useless. They won’t give any information. If anyone gives some information, the other will say it is not true. They will totally mess up everything. They don’t know telephone etiquettes. They don’t have common sense indeed.
                                    Finally one day an IFB service man came in April and verified. He said the rubber sheet is damaged and the machine is under warranty, it will be replaced shortly.
                                    We have called the customer care on [protected], [protected], [protected] more than 20 to 30 times. The representatives wont pick up the call if you call them b/w 9am to 11 am. If you call them by 1.00 pm they will say they are in lunch. If you call them by 5.00pm they say there is no stock currently and they don’t know when the stock will be available. They will say this for 1 month. If you still have patients to call them. Please do talk to their manager. He will also tell the same thing.
                                    COMPLETELY USELESS!
                                    In contrast we have Airtel broadband. We had a problem in connecting and given a call to them. On the same day they are chasing us for troubleshooting as we were at office that time. They have corrected it on the same day. We are happy about their service.
                                    Compare yourself with them.

                                      I have had a complaint with IFB for 6 weeks now. I call roughly twice a week (moving to daily from now) and am always told someone will call me. Nobody does. I have never experienced such appalling customer service in my life. They even tried telling me that the dishwasher was not under warranty at first. However as there is a 2 year warranty and I purchased it new and have only been in India for one year... They have finally accepted this after I offered to show them my passport to show when I arrived. Outrageous doesn't even come close and I am wasting so much time on this.
