Sub: complaint against the untrained & incapable treatment given to my dishwasher by the after sales service team.
Sir/madam,
This is to bring into notice the unprofessional attitude of the after sales service team in allahabad (U. P.) i am highly dissatisfied with the inexperience and ir-responsible behaviour done to my machine.
I faced some technical issue last night in my dishwasher. I programmed the machine on super 50 level with extra hygiene. The machine covered aprox 40 minutes and then there was a sudden power cut of an hour or so. When the electric supply came, i went to check the machine but it isn't working since then. Power supply is good and the machine is even connected with an stabilizer. The power cut scenario is very usual in between the running programs but i never faced this dead reaction from this machine in last 1.5 years.
So i launched a complain on customer care number giving all the details about the issue. They were already having my customer id and machine details in their system.
Ifb technicians came in the evening, although he assured to come in the noon time. He diagnosed that the machine is in dead state and started opening the panel to change the circuit board.
Circuit board he brought looked similar to the one in the model. But he wasn't very sure if the machine is going to work in a proper way after the interchange. He started matching the circuits of the board he brought with the original and confirmed himself, as the designs matched. After some struggle with the internal wires and plugs he managed to fit the new board in the panel.
The machine was switched on, the technician tabbed few buttons on the panel and says that, the machine is not getting proper water supply so there must be some problem with the inlet pipe, or it is jammed due to hard water and lay down the machine. While he was playing with the buttons i could see some water from the outlet but he was only interested in listening to the vibrations of water supply inside the machine.
He opened some cover on its downside, checked something and told his helper that this machine is a different model, ‘it’ will not fit into this. During all this dramatic event i asked them how did the water problem occurred all of a sudden when this wasn't the issue earlier as we are using it daily after purchase, they were not interested in answering but busy in dismantling, may be they deliberately wanted me to believe that there is a water problem and i need to purchase certain device to fix it, but because the model was different they had to get back.
Now they said that the circuit board they have brought does not belong to this model due to which the machine is not working properly and unable to retain the water into it. Another circuit board has to be ordered from the head office and it will take around 3-4 days.
Now the question arises:
· when the model number was noted down, the technical issue was clearly understood by the team then why did the service men came with a different model circuit board.
· the authorized person looked inexperienced as they were not sure if the circuit board belongs to the same model.
I don't know if by inserting a wrong board in the panel, they might have damaged other technical systems of the machine too. I wish the company takes the responsibility for any other technical issues created intentionally or unintentionally by the service team.
· the best part is that after wasting my whole day waiting for them i'm being told that the board is not available and has to be ordered, which will take another 3_4 days. Does that mean they were aware that the particular board that is technically applicable to the machine is not available; and if so they should have informed me instead of enforcing a different category. If this act damages other parts in a long run, i'll have to keep calling ifb service. Hope its not the way the company earns, 'repair one damage the other'.
· the other aspect could be that the original board is sold out in the market purchasing a duplicate one, as being a customer neither can i differentiate nor does the question of distrust arises on an authorised team, off-course the id card was hung on the neck.
· now the bigger part, when the problem has not been resolved yet then why have i received an sms from the company claiming the same in the evening. If the problem o[censored]navailability was genuine then why is the service team misleading the head office, closing the complain and if they claim to resolve the problem, then on whose name are they going to order a new circuit board from the head office.
It is disgraceful to observe such a careless attitude from the after sales team of an international electronics company. I didn't even liked the mishandled treatment done to my machine. The haphazard pull n push in the panel & directly laying down the machine on the floor on its door side was terrible to watch. The level of delicacy which needs to be given to an expensive electronic item wasn’t there and is definitely unexpected from an authorized service men. Before leaving they did not even cared to put it balanced from the base as it stood tilted on one side. The experience was as worst as calling a local untrained mechanic for repair.
Ifb is unable to handle the after sales team or rather not getting the actual feedback, but this is damaging the brand image, credibility and trust built up in years of development.
I hope these issues to be recognised by the higher management and the problems to be resolved by some better trained technicians as soon as possible, and wish the machine stands long lasting.
