Sir,
I had Ordered A pair Of Adidas boots and Adidas bag from Bagittoday.com of the Times of India Group. There were some minor free gifts with the main product( boots). My order total was Rs. 2499. i ordered by cash on delivery. The order was delivered after nearly One and a half Months. I had to pay the sum in the post office. but on opening the parcel i found that the free gifts had been delivered but the main product i.e The adidas boots were not included. The free gifts which included an adidas bag of very bad quality, an ordinary sipper bottle, cheap looking adidas watch and an encyclopeadia disk which is absolutely scratched and does not work. On calling Customer Care they told me they had some Technical problem and could not solve my problem so to call back later. but since then i have been trying to call them and could not get through even once. Sir the money is hard earned and the company should look into the grievances of its customer. later i found numerous complaints regarding baggitoday on the internet. But i think no one's complaints have been addressed. Sir, i Cannot believe how a company of such repute is carrying on such a scam with no step from the governmen.

Bagittoday.com — non receipt of consignment

i have placed order on 19 feb 2011 vide order no.[protected]. i have received neither material nor confirmed answer for date of dispatch.i have paid money upfront. said company is holding money without any valid reason. can i lodge complaint against india to day group for cheating.

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    In the continuation of my previous unreplied communication, today as per promice I accepted the Rs.20598/- packet, which has following lacuna:

    As per promise no diamond vouchers has been enclosed, though sometimes back when it was booked the voucher no. have been mentioned.
    As per deal, one SD card has to be provided.

    Where should I approach for all these mental and financial harraasement?

    Further, the rest three items money have not been reverted back to my credit account. Though it has been promised.
    no information through emails or from you. Instead of compensating the things, you people are keeping mum, inspite of my communications.

    Only last booked items no. 4 has been recieved, which I have not conqured. Further, in that no gift voucher or any other items, except mobile and book. What is the joke.

    For rest of the items, I have listened any thing so far. I don't know, after almost 15 years of association with India Today, is going to be night marsh and one of worst experience in my life.

    Today, the biggest blunder happened, when Mr Rahul Sharma has phoned me and told that you have got 32" LCD as a prize along with diamond and for this you need not to pay anything. This has been told and asked by many times and your credit card punching is required for your verification. But when I contacted my credit card the amount Rs. 32900/- has been charged and SMS has also been recieved. In evening so called verification call has came and I have told whole story, then the person concerned told me that Mr Sharma will talk to you, till now I am waiting.

    I don't know what to do, except i don't want any product/packet and please refund my all money, even the items I have conqured. Such a blackmail i can't except from such a group, even in my dream. and in future, i may like to break even subscription link too.



    Refund my approx 82000/-.

      I have a five years subscription of India Today Magazine upto 2012 and was receiving the magazine regularly but since October 2010 not receiving the copy of the magazine till today. I have lodged the complaint on October 25, 2010 Complaint No. is 2667422. I have also lodged the complaint on their "We Care" web site but all in vain. My subscription No. is ITE - 361123.       India Today — NOT RECEIVING MY SUBSCRIPTION COPIES

      Mysel[censored]mesh Virkar from Dombivali has subscribed for INDIA Today & Business Today thru Vodafone mobile shop on 26th October.2010. I paid Rs,650 + Rs325 against 1 year subscription thru my credit card & was allotted ref id 11515943 & 11515850 respectively.
      To my surprise there is absolutely no response from INDIA TODAY for almost 15 days.. No one contacted me nor i got any update for my order.
      Finaly i started chasing INDIA today on Call center no (Toll Free No.[protected] From Noida[protected] provided but was unable to get details due to technical problems & line engaged.
      I also wrote this case to [protected]@intoday.com & i got one revert from Amit Singh asking for all details. I provided all details on 13th Nov.10 to which he replied mentioning that the payment is received & i shall get my copies very soon. Since then again i have not received any response till date so i reminded him with very rude mail.. Mr.Amit has again asked me my subsctiption & payment details (thru mail onSun, Nov 28, 2010 at 6:59 PM) . This is insane...

      When i have dialed them on 29-Nov-10 : 10.10 Am to India today call center finaly i got some one Mr.manoj on line who was saying that systems are down & we have no update about your order & he kept phone without providing any update.
      Last update when i tried calling back is that Ms.Pallavi took my contact no & assured me that someone will call me back.

      But honestaly speaking this is really very bad experience i got from wellknown publication like INDIA today & Media Publications Ltd.. They have no rights to write technology adantages in there magzines if they can't fix such cases in their own company.

      Worst is that its almost 1 month & 3 days i have paid to INDIA TODAY but no officer of company feels that they owe to either send me my copies or pay back my money..

      Mr.Poorie ( Chief Editor) if this reaches to you pls. take necessary actions & also to highlight that there are absolotely no ways you have left with subscribers to express their problems against subscriptions channel rather than go to such internet forums accessible to entire world.

      Hope some body will from INDIA TODAY will address my concern & either provide me my copies or repay me my money.

        Dear Sir,

        With ITBC Code No. ITBC2904-L5-277791 PT[protected], I was offered Ragas 16-CD Pack with free gifts worth 10999. The offer was closing by 30th Jun 2010. Accordingly, I sent my cheque bearing No. 03396 dated 01.06.2010 on Central Bank of India for Rupees 2498.00. The same has been deducted from my bank account by ITBC by 24.06.2010.

        However, I'm still awaiting my 16-CD pack as well as gifts. If the same is not avialble, my money should have been refunded, but nothing has been done by ITBC yet.

        I request a sincere action.

        India Today Book Club — CDs not received

        I have ordered for CDs from India Today Book Club for Rs.741/ on 20.09.2007. As per terms and conditions, the CDs will be despatched within 7 to 15 days. But till date I have received nothing. I have sent two reminers through email at [protected]@indiatodaybookclub.com, even no reply.

        It is suggested that along with the delivery of the order connected free gifts should also be mailed. It is quite confusing and cumbursome to log on to the address given by you as same do not exist or cannot be connected.This throws a bad impression on the company of your stature and repute.

        I had ordered the Ragas 16 cd pack in the first week of June and paid Rs 2500 by Cheque. I have not recieved the order yet nor there is any acknowledgement from India Today Book Club.

          The above booking numbers are given to me before 20 days i.e. on 11.10.2010 and these parcels were received back by your office on 11.09.2010 so the refund request was generated by your office after one month from the receipt of refused parcels. and now it is another 20 days and you are still asdking me to wait for another 10 to 12 days to get my refund.



          It is almost 67 days now but still I am waiting to get my refund. I do not understand how the office is functioning and your telemarketing department assures the customer the refund in 45 days but the mmarketing department fully process the orders dispite of cancelled orders and ships the material after 40 days and the parcel is dtuk at the courier office for one month for no reason and the customer has no choice but to keep patience and gets a roiutine reply "We have forwarded your comnplaint to the concerned department". I do not understand what this concerned department is doing since more than two months? I had also spoken with Mr. Kapilji but it seems it was only a fake assurance from your office to give me my refund.

          yesterday 14/10/2013 i have booked a tour package from Bagit today (offer buy1 get 1 free) after paying 3999/- by credit card.
          With that your executive had explained me about some offer (Rs.70000/- free gifft) for just i need to pay 17999/- refundable amount.
          i doubted on this and further ask for more clarification .
          since she had given all the information and tell me u can opt for this in future also we can hold this offer since i don't want to purchase the offer so i denied and opt for future. one more thing she told me when u get a call from verification dept u have to just clear the verification by simply saying yes for the offer
          but still i was not sure i end the communication with her (Riya)
          when i checked my a/c balance she had already swipe the 17999/- amt from my card for the which i have not purchased
          FYI i had canclled the other order just cause of that.

          Kindly do the needfull and give my refund asap.
          i need to pay my credit card amount or i have to pay unneccessary penalty agnst the swipe amount.

            I subscribed to ITBC way wack in 2006 and bought soe books from these cheat people in the initial time. My last purchase from them was a Kodak C160 Camera along with which they offered a free return air ticket worth Rs 7000 and a free holiday worth rs. 5000.

            even months after completing the whole procedure, these have not responded to my mails, forget about providing the free gifts. Doublessly, they are the greatest cheaters in India.

            I have resolved not to buy any services or products from india today book club. I will never buy any magazine (i.e. India Today and anything else), nor shall I watch any channel belonging to this fraud company. AND I sincerely request others to do the same. They are the worst cheaters I have ever encountered with.

            I dont want bhajan cds, I will like to cancel my orders, ORA[protected] and 0GA[protected]. Since I have an option, I have decided against receiving the sent packages. PLEASE DO NOT REDISPATCH THEM TO ME AGAIN.

            India Today Book Club (ITBC) — Worst online shoppe I have come across

            Everyboby beware of India Today Book Club (ITBC) as it has been the worst company I have come accross in my life as far as honoring the commitments is concerned.

            I have been regularly following up for my order which I placed with them way back on Oct 22, 2008, still, there is no clue where the goods are. I was promised the delivery within 14-21 days of placing the order.

            Full payment (including the product cost and the delivery charges) against this order was made by me in advance for which I possess the confirmatory email of ITBC. Despite of this, they are asking for more delivery charges!!!

            ITBC feels that the customers are fools and know nothing but let us join together and tell them that only the CUSTOMERS are the supreme power and without them no company can survive.

            I am badly hurt and have wasted my lot of time and energy sending emails and making phone calls to ITBC. I have also involved the senior most authorities India Today Group like Mr. Malclom Mistry, Mr. Ratnam, Mr. Baljeet, Mr. Nitin Sawhney, etc. by sending my complaints directly through emails to them, still, to my utmost surprise, no serious action has yet been taken.

            Therefore, the motive behind submitting this complaint is just to ensure that nobody else ever falls in the trap of ITBC.
            I fully agree. I am also a victim of this fraud & unprofessional company (ITBK). Something needs to be done against such a dubious company.

            Just to give a brief anout my membership:

            To update till date I haven't received the "Free Adidas Bag" that was there in the offer. On calling the Cust care, they stated that it was out of stock and so the delay. Such a big company and sort of comments from Cust care is not expected at all. I hope my VOC would certainly help the top managment get an air of the things happening.

            Moreover in the offer there was a CD "ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANNICA STUDENT LIBRARY'. It was not opening. I was told by Cust Care to return the same so that it can replaced. But till date there is no response.

            Had placed an order for Swatch watch on 24.06.2009 with Booking ID MITBC-WEB[protected].

            It was converted into Order number on 28.06.2009 with ID M-COMMERCE/0GA[protected].

            I recieved the product on 15.07.2009. The watch doesnt work. It seems a dead watch.

            Moreover there is no manufacturing date anywhere on outer or inner cover or on the watch. Its surprising, since it is mandatory to have manufacturing date on every product.

            Would request ITBC to replace me with a working proper watch and it should have manufacturing date on it.

            Sir, one of their tele marketing executive called me on my mobile no.99709686 in the month of Feb' 09 and explained their various products and offers on those. I ordered for 16 CD pack costing Rs.2600 and paid through my CITI BANK credit card. After receiving my payment, the sent a mail to fill the form and send it to Premier sales promotion Pvt.             India Today Book Club — Pathetic Services

            I ordered for a set of books worth Rs 3500/-. Along which they provided me a free holiday voucher and airticket voucher . I tried using them but as per their site it was alreday used. I taket to their cusotmer care executives and was told by them that there is a error from their side and they will be in reverting back to me in 24 hours. After waiting for a week i wrote a mail to them on December 12,2009.After waiting for another week , i wrote them a reminder mail , but still there was no revert. Then i again called their customer care, they told me to call banglore. I called banglore, they told me to call Delhi.

            I have talkedto the senoirs at delhi office as well, but there is no one to hear me...the cusotmer executive don`t have manners to speak to the people..nither they want to help.


            Each time i call , they say wait till nex 24 hrs, and agter passing 24 hrs there is no response, i still had to call back the again and again. This is going for a month and still there is no resoultion.

            I can say that ITBC is a bunch of incompetent people, never willing to help you out making false promises and have no manners of speaking with aggrieved customers.

            I am writing on this forum so that i might get some help.

            India Today Book Club (ITBC) — NON ADHERANCE TO OFFERS MADE ON PURCHASE

            Made purchase from India today under book club in February 2009.

            Along with this purchase I was entitled to a free holiday & travel with their promotional partners Big City.
            To avail this offer on visiting the ITBC site a unique promotional number is to be displayed. In my case this number was not being displayed.
            Repeated phone calls (around 30) & e-mails resulted with no solution.
            Finally when we complained that a consumer complain will be lodged they finally gave the unique number in the month of October 2009. The number being Your Holiday Voucher no: ITBC6624
            When we made the application to Big city as per the laid down format (November 2009), there is no response from their end. Our reminders & e mails are not being replied to.
            We do not what more we are supposed to do. I have already spent Rs 500 to 700 on phone calls already

            In October 2009, I had sent DD for Rs.2199(dated Oct 24, 2009) towards the purchase of 'COMPLETE HISTORY OF THE WORLD' where I would be entitled to get Free Gifts worth Rs.11899.

            I haven't either received the books or the free gifts. That has prompted me to cancel the order and the cancellation was done on 14 april 2010. So I was entitled to get the refund for Rs.2199 .
            I was told that I would receive a cheque for the same within 21 days.

            Even after 1year and 2 months I have not received the goods or my money back. I do not want their products, I want my money back.

              I had booked a music system with India Today Book Club vide Booking ID[protected] and paid an amount of Rs. 7598/- by credit card on 31.01.2010. My SBI Card Statement showed that the amount was remitted to Living Media India Ltd. (ITBC), New Delhi.

              Before the consignment was despatched by ITBC to my address, I felt that I did not require the item for some reasons and I requested/pleaded ITBC people to cancel the above booking and refund the entire money to me since the item was not yet despatched. ITBC people (Shri Manoj Pant and other people) told me that it was not possible for them to cancel the booking as per their policy and they will have to despatch the consignment to my address. I can refuse the consignment upon its arrival at my address. After return of the above consignment to ITBC, they told me that they wouldl make arrangment to refund the amount to my account.

              The consignment was sent to me as per following details:

              Shipment No. [protected] dated 22.03.2010 of Aramex courier
              Shipper Ref.: ORA[protected]TS

              Since Aramex do not have a a branch at Ranchi, they made the arrangement to deliver the consignment through some other courier at Ranchi,i.e. Daylight Services (as conveyed to me later), which was unknown and unreliable courier. As advised to me by ITBC people, I refused the above consignment upon arrival at my address. However, to my bad luck, I noted from the Aramex website that the above consignment was delivered to somebody else under my name, which meant that the courier boy had knowingly delivered the above consignment to some other person. Thus, the above consignment was never returned to ITBC and ultimately I was not given any refund. I lost the entire money. I took up the matter with ITBC people and Aramex courier several times. I was assured that they are taking action and my money would be refunded to me at the earliest but nothing has happened till date.

              I put the entire blame for my loss on ITBC since they never agreed to my request for refund of money before despatch of consignment. ITBC also sent the items through some unreliable local courier at Ranchi.

              I consider that this is a usual practice of ITBC of cheating people living at a far-away cities like Ranchi and they go scot free. This is a criminal offence and calls for suitable punitive action against the people in the helm of affairs at ITBC.

              I need a prompt justice in the matter.

              I booked an order on 7th of June,2010 ( details of Order : 12.5mega pixel Kodak camera, along with this they offered free gifts as follows, Reebok watch worth of Rs.2599/- + Reebok Track Suit worth of 3999/- + I pod and tour package of Rs.5000/- + Rs.10000 worth of diamond jewelery gift voucher) for this i have paid Rs.8498/- through my credit card. Booking Id No.[protected]. As per the offer given by them, the delivery of the above mentioned items will be made with in a period of 21 working days from the date of placement of order, but we have not received any of the items mentioned above till September 18th 2010. On the same day we have canceled the same above order and they have given an Cancellation ID which as follows Cancellation ID 627739 dated 18th September,2010. They promised me that they will credit the paid amount to my credit card with in 21 working days. But still i have not yet received.

                Hi,

                This is Subbarao Guntamukkala from Pune. I made online transaction from Bagittoday.com and was promised to get Holiday Destination Gift Vourcher worth Rs.5,000/- and could receive the Voucher No which I need to register in www.bigcity.in/indiatoday/holiday to activate my voucher.
                I tried to log into this website a thousand times from different systems and mobile too, but I was not able to open that website at all. After that I called bagittoday Helpdesk to seek their technical advice, but they started disconnect the calls soon after I got the line.
                I tried almost 10 to 15 times and tested my patient by listening the IVR and music again and again.

                At last My call was answered by one representative there and I introduce him with my name and he was not listening anything but said call them tomorrow which made me to write this complaint.

                I strongly recommond India Today not to recruit such people who doesn't know Customers valuable time.

                I want to complain against TA-ANMOL And TM-ANMOL today. I am receiving daily basis Wrost SMS About Indian Stock Market (NSE, BSE) And Commodity Market (MCX, NCDEX) from him. I do not want to receive any such spam message. I do not know how these guys got my mobile number. But even then I am getting spam message from him. So any way how can we stop this facility or un-subscribe this spam messages.

                  On 16th March, 2010 I got a call from Mr. Manoranjan Singh of India Today Book Club call center informing me about a couple of offers linked with each other. The details of the offer as told to me by your Telesales executive (named mentioned above) are as follows:

                  OFFER 1:

                  * 1 Holiday package of 2 Nights & 3 Days, return AIR FARES included with dining & breakfast free only Lunch on the customers (i.e ME in this case) cost.
                  * 1 Digital Camera of Kodak worth Rs. 10,000 (After taking the offer he told me the model number (Model no. C160) which when i found out was worth Rs.6000)

                  OFFER 2:

                  * 1 Holiday package of 2 Nights & 3 Days, return AIR FARES included with dining & breakfast free only Lunch on the customers (i.e ME in this case) cost.
                  * 1 Phillips Wireless 5.1 Home Theater System (Wireless speakers) with Phillips DVD Player worth Rs. 20,000. (After taking the offer he told me the model number (Model No. HTS3373/94) but when i got the Home theater today & the model number is different & also the home theater is NOT with wireless speakers & its MRP is not more than Rs.10000)
                  * 1 Diamond voucher of Surat Diamonds worth Rs. 5000 (He provided me the Login ID for the same & mentioned the website as www.bookclub.suratdiamond.com but i have not checked it yet)
                  * 1 Reebok Wrist watch worth Rs. 5000 (when it arrived, it was in a damaged condition & it seems to be used...it is NOT a brand new watch)
                  * 1 Dell Laptop Which earlier he said would be worth Rs.70,000. (Which he said will come along with the home theater but it was not there when the home theater arrived)

                  He told me that if i refer this offer to my friends, i will get a bonus extra voucher of Surat Diamonds worth Rs.5000. I referred 5 friends but now there is no response from him. He gave me his personal mobile number but now he is not picking up & someone picked up his mobile & told me that he has gone to the office leaving his mobile on the room, while i was calling him today (31st March, 2010) at 9:30PM.

                  A few days back, he told me another offer which i accepted which was as follows:

                  OFFER 1:

                  WHEN I RECEIVED THE ABOVE MATERIAL, I FOUND THAT IT WAS NOT THE SAME MODEL NUMBER WHICH WAS BEEN TOLD TO ME WHILE ORDERING.

                  THE HOME THEATER SYSTEM WAS NOT A WIRELESS ONE BUT A VERY ORDINARY ONE.
                  THERE WAS NO LAPTOP.
                  REEBOK WATCH WAS DEFECTIVE.
                  THERE WAS NO D'DAMAS VOUCHER.
                  KODAK CAMERA WAS NOT WORTH Rs.10000/- BUT Rs.6000/-

                  THIS IS PURE CHEATING. I BOOKED 2 SUCH OFFERS & WHEN I FOUND 1ST SHIPMENT LIKE THIS, I IMMEDIATELY CANCELLED THE 2ND ONE & EMAILED AS WELL AS CALLED ITBC FOR REFUND OF THE CANCELLED. BUT THERE WERE JUST MAILS OF YES SIR WE WILL LOOK INTO IT BUT THERE IS NO RESPONSE OR ACTION SINCE MARCH TILL DATE.

                  India Today Book Club — Telesales Fraud

                  Dear sir,

                  I had availed ITBC offer on July 9, 2009, through telesales from itbc marketing team.

                  I was given an offer of receiving for a couple,two return air tickets, all taxes paid, along with 2 nights 3 days stay at a 3/5 star hotel at any of the places in India, which included all the taxes and meals. I could choose any dates according to my convinience, even on weekends, and would be given booking by the hotel on a priority basis.

                  I had 3 different conversations with itbc tele-marketing operater who repeatedly assured me of the above offer, as it is, with no hidden terms and conditions. When i asked for a written detailed offer, an email was sent to me reassuring me of the same. When i enquired that it didnt mention anything about including taxes, i was told that they didnt have the said performa on mail as they worked through tele-marketing only. I was further told that as a bonus i was getting an offer of the books also. On making the booking and making the payment i was given a web no. which i was supposed to quote on availing my air tickets and hotel offer.

                  I have received the said books along with the invoice having the given web no. I called its helpline no. and was again assured of the same offer by the tele- operator.

                  But when i tried to log on to the given website with my given web no. it rejeceted any attempt saying that the iformation provided was incorrected. On calling the helpline no. i was given a new web no. with which i was able to register immediately but with a shock i found out that the initial offer was nowhere to be found , instead there was an offer for only one person with a host of terms and conditions!


                  The people at the customer care confirm that the said offer was made to me, they have the recording of the conversations, but dismiss the whole episode as 'miscommunication'

                  I feel very cheated in the whole episode and feel that i misplaced my trust in such a reputed(?) company.

                  My name is Rohan Kumar Sinha. I have purchased a Samsung S5560 mobile handset from one of the representatives of India Today Book Club at a cost of Rs. 12,500.00 on 26th February 2010.

                  As it was offered me that I would get a Holiday package worth Rs 25,000 and a free Diamond Voucher worth Rs 20,000 but after my purchasing they are telling me that the Diamond Voucher is worth Rs 5,000 only.

                  I have lodged complaint two times in their customer service but there is no result of that complaint.

                  So, I want that either they return back this handset or provide the compensation in behalf of the above misrepresentation.

                    Hi,

                    I ordered some books under 1 Rs sale of India Today Book Club/Bag it today. I received books however the free holiday as mentioned in offer is not received.

                    As told by customer care executive on phone I accessed site (http://www.bagittoday.com/promos.htm) to get the holiday package and entered code to claim offer. But sites always gives error that - "You have made incorrect entries. Kindly check and enter once again !!!"

                    I called customer care and I was told to give him 48 hours to activate the offer. This has not been done after several days from that call.

                    On this forum I have read similar complaints. Is India Today cheating on people or it is incapable of giving proper service?

                    I need this to be solved asap.

                    advertising agency — Non Receipt of Holiday Voucher & Jewellery Voucher

                    I had placed an order for 16CDS, which promised Free Jewellary Voucher and a holiday voucher/coupon for 3days/2nights stay with veg meals for a couple for Rs.5000/- . I have received the 16CDS only but not the holiday voucher & Jewellary Voucher as mentioned. Instead the Invoice mentions that to claim the free holiday voucher gift we have to log on to www.bookstoday.in/promos.htm within 60days of the invoice date but to my surprise the said site says that the "Offer is closed" even before the expiry of 60days from the invoice date which is 20th April 2009 When the remittance was already credited to India Today Book Club, why the Holiday Voucher & Jewellary Voucher No. SDJBCA670910 was not send alongwith the CD . In this scenario, if you are not able to log on to the site, one is sure to loose the holiday voucher& the Jewellary Voucher . This simply seems to be an eyewash. has the company ever thought how this in turn going to affect the reputation of the company? i thing this is one kind of cheating & we are sure to go to the Consumer Forum If the complaint is not look into & satisfactory solution is given .                         I really dont know how they got my number. Anyways they did. They called saying that you have been selected to receive Gift Vouchers worth Rs. 200,000/-, however you have to pay a Tax amounting to Rs. 25000/-. they followed this up by saying that should you pay through us, we will send you free gifts together with the Gift Vouchers ( these vouchers can be redeemed at any store of Taniska) You will have to pay only 15000/- You will receive the following with The GOLD Vouchers, Samsung handy cam,Sound system,DVD player,Air ticket worth 7000/-, sky home theatre, Reebok watch. The rest of the material arrived a month and a half ago. Despite several tries to LOG ON to WWW.bookstoday.im/promos.html, nothing happened. Its almost 65 days that I have been waiting ! NOTHING!!

                        I have been taken for a ride and cheated.

                          This is with reference to my purchase with ‘India Today Book Club’ - The India Today Group, whereby I was issued a Holiday package for 2 nights with Big City Promotions.

                          Big City Promotions allotted me Holiday Voucher number ITBC5410, which I submitted to them on 26/08/10 along with the Demand Draft of Rs 899/-. As per the terms I opted for 3 different dates with different locations between 16/10/10 to 22/10/10.

                          During the last one month, I called ‘Big City Promotions’ almost every day and till date they don’t have any clue of the allotment. From the last 10 days, their phone is always on IVR, I have stayed on the IVR for nearly 10 mins also but with no response.

                          At this juncture, I don’t know where I stand. I have not received the Holiday Package, which was committed to me by ‘India Today Book Club’ (The India Today Group) on my purchase. During this course I have also paid Rs 899/- to ‘Big City Promotions’ (associated partner of India Today Book club).

                          Could you please let me know what I need to do to get the benefits or my money back (from Big City as well as India Today).

                            You are requested to look into the matter on priority basis, otherwise the matter will be put forward to Consumer Forum, media coverage and definately it's going to affect the reputation.

                            Hi people, (this is not just for this complaintee but for everyone)

                            I just wanted to share that I've got my orders, it took nearly a month and half but I got them. I haven't ordered anything big(like tv/mobile/lcd), and I've used COD(Cash-on- delivery) service.

                            I can understand everyones problem when they haven't got something valuable that they ordered that even through credit card, but try to collect as many information as possible before paying a huge sum through a credit card.

                            I've been to the courier place to get my package where I've seen a large collection o[censored]ncollected items by those who've ordered. It is our duty also to verify, keep a check on it once in a while instead of whining, complaining and getting confused. After all they are human too, its not fair to blame them alone.

                            I've seen people complained but none of them wrote back once they received their package, thats bad, that leaves a bad impression on the company among others who read these web pages. There are people working in the company just like us and they might have families on their own too, they will get affected by their behaviour as well as our mistakes. So try to think in a point of humanity too not just money.

                            They are doing a good job of offering nice deals, just like ebay, it is helpful for people like me. If you want something urgent, then I would advice not come here, this is for those who can confide and be patient.

                                On 20/10/10 I received a REGD V.P.P PACKET POSTED AT THE SRT NAGAR PO VPP, from the above group from their Office LIVING MEDIA INDIA LTD. SHOP NO. 119, ANARKALI COMPLEX, JHANDEWALAN EXTN, NEW DELHI 110055. The Packet was in favour of my wife Mrs Omena s Matthan, 23, Mohini Apartments, Rest House Road, Bangalore 560001 and the Amount was Rs 472 including Post Office commission.
                                As my wife has been away in USA for the past 5 months, I accepted the parcel and paid the amount to the Post Office delivery Clerk.

                                Later I Emailed my wife informing her about the parcel and the title of the small 135 page Booklet titled "Invincible thinking" by RYUHO OKAWA costing so much. She has now replied to confirm that she had had ordered no such book at any time and to claim a refund immediately. She subscribes only to the READERS DIGEST.

                                As you can see this is obvious POSTAL FRAUD. Please advise what need to be done to recover the money from them?

                                Even I received a similar REGD. VPP today(21/10/10). The packet was posted at SRT NAGAR by LIVING MEDIA INDIA LTD and the Amount was Rs 472 including Post Office commission. Fortunately i wasn't at home when the postman came and left the receipt.
                                After reading your post don't think there is a need from me to go to the post office. Thank you so much for posting it.

                                I never ordered any such thing so this definitely appears to be a fraud being run by someone.
                                I have also received a similar VPP from Living Media New Delhi and the amount requiired to be paid is Rs. 472/-. The post man has given it in my office saying to collect the same from post office by paying Rs. 472/. I don't think I have ordered any such thing in favour of Living Media Delhi so I have not yet collected the same. Thank you for posting the same in internet it will help the others like me to be safe from frauds.

                                Quite unfortunate. I am also a victim of this scandal.

                                This is totally absurd that The India Today group has resorted to such cheap gimmics to cheat its customers. What was delivered, with a registered VPP demanding Rs.472 including Post Office commission was totally unsolicited!! What we have subscribed to is only the Reader's Digest monthly from them, for which we have already paid.

                                As mentioned on the unsolicited package, "I[censored]ndelivered, please return to : Living Media India Ltd., Shop No.:164, Anarkali Complex, Jhandewalan Extn., New Delhi-110055"

                                I urge the consumer forum to please take some action on this scandal.

                                Fraudulent V.P.P o[censored]nsolicited Book from above group in New delhi

                                Dear Sir/Madam,
                                On 29/07/11 I received a REGD V.P.P PACKET POSTED AT THE CHAKALA, MIDC PO VPP, from the above group from their Office LIVING MEDIA INDIA LTD. SHOP NO. 164 ANARKALI COMPLEX, JHANDEWALAN EXTN, NEW DELHI 110055. The Packet was in favour of Mr. George E Fernandes (301 Shri Bindra Rose, Wing II, M C Road, Andheri East Mumbai 400093) and the Amount paid was Rs 472 including Post Office commission., I collected the parcel and paid the amount to the Post Office located at MIDC.

                                When I opened the parcel I found out that only the free sample booklets were there and the actual Home Remedies Book was not delivered. Please look into the matter and issue me the same immediately.

                                I will be giving back the above booklets which is given to me fraudulently.

                                As you can see this is as obvious POSTAL FRAUD. Please advise what need to be done to recover the money from them? On your confirmation, I shall give complaint to the nearest Police Station.

                                Order Not Received Waiting for Five Months

                                I placed an order in January and they billed my visa instantly it's now June I still do not have my order. The items were for my daughter for her birthday!! Very disappointing. I have requested numerous status updates and had NO response.

                                Wrong product delivered

                                I ordered a bag from bagittoday wrong they sent me the wrong product. I have been asking them to refund my money for more then 3 weeks and all the response i get is we are trying to resolve the situation.

                                  Mr SC Sood resident of Shimla had placed order no OGA[protected] for supply of reebok bag & reebok towel, reebok track suit and reebok shoe. Shoe size nine was supplied. The same was returned, with request for sending shoe size six. Indiabook club informed that shoe size six sent by post. Same returned by Post Office to sender without delivery for unknown reasons. This happened in April 2010, Since then a number of tele calls have been made and number of e mails have been sent. There is no response to e mails. Whenever tele call is made a different person speaks and promise is made to send the shoe. Even a letter was written to Mr Aroon Purie, Editor in Chief, India Today on 3l Aug 2010 There is no response to this..
                                  reference Consumer Protection & Awareness Council (Regd) SAS Nagar letter CPAC/02678 dated 24 Mar 10 and further tele conversation on the subject. We learnt on 12M ay 10 that you had sent speed post parcel containing the shoe vide No ED[protected] IN on 15 Apr. On enquiry at the post office it was learnt that instead of delivering the parcel at the given address a small slip was left in the letter box of the addressee. After some time, the post office returned the parcel to the place from where i twas despatched. It is brought to your notice that no slip was found in the letter box at the concerned house. You are requested to liaise with the concerned post office from where the parcel was sent and take delivery of the consignment. You are requested to send size six Reebok shoes to Mr HC Sood, The OASIS, H No 418 (Below St. Edward's School), Shiv Puri, Shimla 171001 (H P).                                     I have a two-year subscription of Good Housekeeping (subscription no.GHK1578754) from the India Today Group since June 2009 but I have failed to regularly receive my monthly copies of Good Housekeeping for the past one year.In one year’s subscription, I have received only three copies of Good Housekeeping so far.
                                    Hi Everyone,

                                    I am a resident of flat No K-45 Ridgewood estate, Phase 4 DLF, Near Galleria Market, Gurgaon staying there from the last 8 months. I took the decision to stay in Ridgewood Estate just because of Security. Security was my only concern. I am very unhappy with the DLF as my Bike got stolen on 1st of June 2010 from the parking area no K-18 below the building inside the campus at 3 PM where around 200 guards take care of security. No action has been taken by Police and DLF Security as the FIR was lodged on the same day itself, FIR no 212 in Sector 29 Thana, Gurgaon. I called several numbers of times to DLF Security but no one gave response and disconnected the call. I waited for the police to come till now and now it’s the time to make aware people about the DLF societies is no more a safe place to live.                                     Also, I requested the president and Vice president of the society to take care of the issue. They just sympathized once and nothing has been action so far .

                                    I have also requested people through other means to take care of their transport means and house equipments themselves as there is no more safety in DLF societies and flats.

                                      I got a free holiday offer for 2 Nights/3 days for 3 people for purchasing Reebok products from India Today Book Club.As per the instructions mentioned on their website ,i downloaded the booking request form and then I sent filled up booking request form to Premier Sales Promotions Pvt. Ltd.P. O. Box No. 5042 Bangalore-560001 ,After that i received a Holiday Voucher Form.Then i submitted the filled up Holiday voucher form along with the draft of Rs 899.00(Demand draft No. 447352 ,Oriental Bank of Commerce,Mohali ,Branch code-0484 ) on Dated. 29.04.10 by ordinary post

                                      When I call M/s Premier Sales Promotions Pvt. Ltd. they deny having received the DD and encashing it.
                                      Despite many reminder regarding my voucher i have not received my promo code /confirmattion letter till date .

                                      I have received a phone call from Indiatoday book club that they are going to offer me a good package that includes 3 members to anywhere in india for boarding and lodging, for availing the same i should pay Rs. 3198 or Rs, 3498 with Philips DVD player free

                                      I Have booked 7 packages for Rs. 3198 and 2 for Rs, 3498

                                      But 2 days back i have received a set of CDs and Books for the value I have paid for Rs.3198

                                      In the invoice it is mentioned that to avail promitional scheme, have to login to "bookstoday.in/promos.htm" when enter page - it is asking for the unique number which is given in invoice, on putting the number and email add, that page displays the same msg that " wrong entry" and also i tried to login to "www.indiatodaybookclub.com" as entered the words a different site is opening as "bagittoday"

                                      It mean i was clearly cheted by indiatoday book club which i have not expected from the reputed company like india today. Also i tried to call the customer care number for 4 days on[protected] am getting a recorded msg that Your call is important to us please wait after waiting around 10-15 mts no reply and nobody is picking up the call from the said number and also i tried to call the number from which i received this scheme.

                                      I have also forwarded mail request site that was given in the invoice

                                      Neither I have requested you to give any scheme nor I have request for any CDs or Books, I want all my money that was paid to you towards availing holiday voucher or send me holiday voucher as promised over phone.

                                      Otherwise I will have to move thro consumer forum and legally through my advocate

                                        My order number is[protected]. Which was delivered to wrong address. They also delete my address from profile. Now they are not sending the good back by saying that Aramex has not yet delivered back however on the Aramex site fact is following. They are expecting a updated information to reschedule delivery while bagittoday is not updated information on that and expect goods back from Aramex to resend it again. There is lack of coordination and focus on the customer's complaint at all and just send standard mail templates for false assurances and excellent service promise. Now i doubt that they even they will send to updated address or will make same mistake again.
