Dear Sir/Madam,

This story is started from march 2009 when I booked a Rebbok Shoes with Watch and paid through my Credit Card, till today I haven't received the delivery, you can refer the below mentioned mail.Each time sending mail, in reply i am receiving kindly give us time to deliver. now they are stop replying also.

Hope you can help me to get my delivery and give a good lesson to them so that they will not do this with any customer. after receiving the money also after 1 and 1/2 year they are not delivering the parcel.

and i am sending the request to them in the following ID:

And today is Wednesday, 3 March, 2010, 1.18 PM.



Till day I have not received my parcel, I have inform on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 10:30 AM through my mail that the parcel has been return on 19.06.2009 which has been done after 4 months.

Than also after 9 month nobody has took ownership to deliver the same.



I think this is enough , after paying the money I have not received the parcel since 13 months.



This is my last mail to you regarding this , the next step I have to follow is given below:

1- By giving the mail reference I will forwarded this call to Right to information cell.

2- By giving the ICICI Bank Statement (Money debited) with the mail ref. to the consumer court for the justice.

    I had requested refund of the amount if the item is not despatched by 20th Nov.

    I am sorry to note that you have not bothered to revert to my request.

      When you receive an email from indiatoday bookclub or bagittoday.com, pl avoid reponding to that. Otherwise, they will trap you to become one more victim of theirs. I never expected to be duped by an organization bagittoday.com which is part of Indiatoday & Living media group.

      I used to receive lot of emails from bagittoday.com for a long period and I used to just delete them. I don’t know how they got my email id. Few days back I received an attractive offer to order below books for Rs.803. Since I wanted to buy these books, I placed an order on www.bagittoday.com.
      1) The Witch of Portobello by Paulo Coelho
      2) Survival of the Sickest by Dr.Sharon Moalem
      3) The Saint, The Surfer and The CEO by Robin Sharma
      4) Why Mars & Venus collide by John Gray
      5) The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri
      6) Memories of midnight / The Naked Face by Sydney Sheldon
      7) Numero Uno Sunglasses

      I wanted to read above books and that was the reason I ordered above items. I thought www.bagittoday.com as a reputed company under India Today umbrella. But to my surprise instead of above items, I received following items from them after one week. The other shocking thing was that all the books were not original but fake scanned duplicate pirated books.
      1) SUPERSTAR INDIA
      2) BLIND FAITH
      3) THE SAINT, THE SURFER AND THE CEO
      4) BLINK 5) MEMORIES OF MIDNIGHT / THE NAKED FACE
      6) NAMESAKE
      7) NUMERO UNO WRIST WATCH
      I really don’t understand being a leading publishing house of India, how India Today can sell duplicate, fake and scanned copies of books. I always avoid purchasing such pirated books which are available on any of the footpaths in major cities. I could have picked up such books from such vendors instead of ordering on prestigeous publishing house like India Today / Living Media.Also, I never wanted above books - item 1,2 & 4. Also they have sent Watch instead of Sunglasses? Even a small child will tell the difference between these two items.

      When I sent several emails, there was no reponse at all from www.bagittoday.com. When I called their customer care, the response was pathetic. They wanted to me call following day. When I called the following day, I was told they will not be able to take consider my complaint as their system is down. I told them to connect me to their Manager, who can take a decision. I was kept on hold for 5mins to test my patience & to try whether I disconnect. Later, I was told that all their managers are busy and I need to call again the following day! I got really upset and told them not to cheat customers and sell cheap pirated books under their banner. I was told they will call me that very day by 6:30pm. Even after one week after that I haven’t heard anything from them.

      Also,there is no entry of this order in bagittoday.com website when I log in with my credentials.

      I repeat - I never expected to get cheated by a prestigeous India Today publishing house Living media. Being in the industry for such a long, how can they sell pirated books? Isn’t it against corporate ethics?

      I used to read India Today regularly. This experience has made me to stop reading the magazine since they don’t have ethics to reply to customers. This is a great lesson for me not to go with the "brand" and stop all online shopping with immediate effect. It is better to walk down to nearest shop to buy items instead of these "attractive offers of fraud companies".

      India Today Book Club — did not receive books

      please refer to my previous e.mail. till date i have not response. my no. is itbc 00086406.I have not received my book club issue from aug.07. ihave already renewed my membershipbut to my surprise their is no response from you. my one order is also pending with you . i request you to the needful as early as possible.
      Even I received an offer through IRCTC, placed order for 2 CDs and a Bag (Order#MITBC-WEB[protected], but never received.. if you you phone them each time you get a different story to hear.

      India Today Book Club — Hi

      I had placed an order on ITBC against the promotional offer, message for which was received in my email ID, for devotional CDs pack worth Rs2500/- alongwhich free airtravel worth Rs7000/- and free stay in hotel/resort for 3 days was offered.My order no. is MITBC-WEB-0103626. I have received the CDs however, after great interaction I have been forwarded a message by M/s Premier Sales Promotions Pvt Ltd., PO Box no. 5042 Bangalore-1, on their behalf asking me to send a form duly filled in and DD worth Rs7000/- to them towards airport taxes and fuel charges, in the name of the company, by 15/2/09. This is an absolute case of cheating and fraud on behalf of ITBC as nothing was mentioned earlier any they were to issue ticket limiting the expenditure of Rs7000/-. Also although I have got prelimany formalities completed for the free stay, which were also quite cumbersom, nothing has been advised till date although almost two months have passed. This has to be taken up with the firm suitably as it is case of cheating.
      I ordered some books and CDs and made online payment. It is about six months old.

      I have not heard anything from them. I did not remember the club number etc. It was

      based on a colleague's recommendations.

      I think the entrie thing is a sham business on net!

      India Today Book Club — Unsolicited communication

      I have purchased some items from India Today Book club and I did receive the material too. After this, ITBC kept on sending me messages through my email, sms and newsletter at my residence. I unsubscribed the email, but sms and newsletter continued. After some time I again started receiving the emails. I sent them a mail requesting to remove my email address, mobile no and residence address from their mailing list and I was promised it would be done in near future. I also told them if they do not stop I would initiate legal action against them. However, it never stopped. After almost two months of correspondence, they told me that there server has got some serious issues thats why they are unable to do so, I found this reasoning very ridiculous andtold them this is not acceptable. I was again promised that my contact details would be removed, but till today the same has not been done. I continue to receive sms till today. My requests have fallen on deaf ears.

      Is there any way to stop these people from harrassing the consumers?

      Indiatoday Book Club/Five Books — Non Receipt of Free Gift

      I am supposed to receive a free gift i.e. Reebok Classic Watch Free against my purchase made in Aug 2009. My Order ID is MITBC-WEB[protected]. After holding the Customer Care call for half an hour on STD what you listen from Customer Care Executives is to send a complaint on [protected]@indiatodaybookclub.com. You never receive a reply from this Id. I don’t know whether anybody has really received the free gift or it is just an eye wash. Let us all be careful before purchasing anything from ITBC. Our phone bill for follow-ups with ITBC may exceed than the Cost of free gift….Can someone please help…

      India Today Book Club — Books never received and money was taken

      I had purchased 5 books from India Today book club by paying Rs. 574.00 through my credit card in October 2008. Its been more than a year that I have not received the books. I lodged complaint many times with them but each time they said that books will be delivered to me. after about 8 months I told them not to send the books but to refund my money, Its been almost 18 months that I have nt even received my money back from them..They shud be put behind bars for cheating customers in this manner...If anyone is going to purchase anything through ITBC, be cautioned that THEY NEVER SEND THE PRODUCT TO CUSTOMER.

      India Today Book Club — They only bluff to sell

      Hello Sir,

      I had a very bad experience with India times books club, they siphoned Rs 15000 by making false commitments.
      It started approximately 4 months back when one person called from India Times Book club and told me I am among top 6 in their 60,00,000 Sweeptaker contest and I will surely win something in the list of items as listed below.
      1. 8 L cash.
      2. Maruti SX4
      3. 2 person 3 L each and
      4. 2 person 1 L each.

      That means bare minimum I am going to get is 1 L.
      And then he told to ensure some credential and identity I need to choose an item from a list of 3 , I choose Philips home theater system costing Rs- 7598 (Membership number - ITBC[protected].

      Then he never turned back.

      After 4~5 days I got another call and the person said that Now I am among top 3 and surely will win something more that 3 L rupees. But to strenthen my chances I need to buy something and that's all I am not going to get any more call from the company.

      He offered me a Samsung mobile 2G and touch screen, I also told I dont need it as I already have the latest verson of Samsung with me(the mobile is still pached and unused) and his response was if I think of the assures award I am going to get it is nothing. So was really stupid enough to buy that too (Membership number - ITBC[protected].

      But then there was no communication from their side and after 10 day another person called up and started same old story of top 3 and 2 , by that time I was totally frustrated and went after him and he admitted that there is no assured got I may get something or may not.

      Now I have all the documents and I am planning to lodge a complaint in consumer coart, as I believe they record calls.

      Also they offer n number of gifts and you end up getting the worst designed watch Adidas manufacture ONLY.

      So please please do not fall in this fraud game and do not buy anything from them...

At the time of promotion and sales execution I was promissed apple I pod and bag including five other benefits on my mail but there is absolutely no response from their end regarding the same post execution of the sale one month back.

            Iam D.Ramesh ordered for a Samsung LCD TV worth Rs:17699.00 after receiving a call from Bagittoday.

            I paid an amount of 17699.00 thru credit card in the month of june 2010 and till now i dinnot received the item or my money refund.

            I wasted so much of money in making calls to Bagittoday customer care and to [protected]@bagittoday.com, [protected]@bagittoday.com, [protected]@bagittoday.com, but of no use.

            My booking ID is:[protected].

            In the month of August/September 2010 bagittoday people told me that my order has been despatched to ARAMEX courier and the packing code is [protected]..again a suspition here I called up aramex customer care they told me that my order has been sent back to DELHI….again next day I called up aramex courier they told me that the packing is at Hyderabad and they r planning to send back…lot of confusion and suspition. Finally i didnt received my item.

            SAMSUNG LCD TV — non receipt of offer items

            I have purchased a samsung lcd tv from Ms: Great Eastern Trading Company, 20 old court house street,

            During the period 10.12.08 to 31.12.08 there was an offer going on under which i was supposed to receive an airtel digital set top box with connection and also a scratch card, on purchase of the TV
            but none of it was provided to me.
            inspite of calling up at Great eastern Trading Company several times they are not responding to my request

I recd an email from bagittoday on 22 oct 2010 that order is under process.However i have received no intimation regarding despatch of item, On contacting customer care i was told that item is not in stock and cant be sent.I fail to understand how an item which was sold to me on 30/9/2010 and was on sale for a week after that suddenly become unavailable for me,This is fraud and unacceptable business practice.I would like a full refund to my credit card and also an explanation as to how this could happen.I contacted various customer care reps who made empty promises.I HAVE NEITHER GOT THE ITEM I PAID FOR 45 DAYS BACK NOR THE REFUND I WAS PROMISED.Strict action including penalty along with refund and de registration of this outfit should be considered.I have learnt from your site that there are many more complaints against them.

                  I had got a call from the reprentative from India today mr. pankaj that I will receive a Lucky Draw of 1.Sony Laptop & 2. Sony Bravia LCD as per their lucky draw. The guy provided me all the details including the address. He asked me to submit a cash amount rs.21000 to A ONE child foundation trust, (on name of Chairman Jyoti Negi, and give me a Kotak mahindra Bank A/c. no.[protected] on 19.10.2010 and same day deposit me money to bank from pune, kotak mahindra bank-bhandarkar branch- and he say give u a certificate of for income tax in 80 D for tax rebate, give me Aramex track no.[protected], and in 12 days collect ur lucky drawn gift to ur address but last 45 days going not coming any gift or parcel from aramex and no track this no. in arames curroir. I had to believe him as he was able to provide all the data the I gave to India Today group. I transmitted the money of 21K. He gave me the below Aramex tracking number which is not updated from last 45 days. Also the phone number he was calling is not receiving now. This is a lession and really allowing me always try to get rid of India today group as they do not have Data security and integrity.

                  I did get a similar call from them exactly as what you had typed above? Luckily I have not deposited any money to their account as I grew suspicious. But as you had mentioned here these people have all my details of purchase which I had done earlier with ITBC. I wonder how are these cheats going around without being caught. All these hungama in the name of India Today which is a big name in India. Is it really the works of India today or are there any cheats doing this type of con games.                   I got repeated calls from the India Today Lucky draw section for a LCD Sony Bravia Win. He requested me to deposit 7000 Rs on the "Care India foundation Society account" and given me a PNB A/C no which was also confirmed by Mr trilok a senior employee in the India Today Lucky Draw section. They had promised of sending me a confirmation through mail on receipt of my deposited amount about the corier details and dispatch information to my office address in Baroda. The amount was deposited yesterday and i have received no confirmation as on date. Also the same phone number-[protected] i am calling they are not picking up the phone.

                  Please help me with the latest status on my Lucky Draw Gift.

                    I am a subscriber of Good House Keeping (GHK1586435 Subsciber ID) and my subsciption commenced in Feb 10.

                    As per the subscription offer, I was to receive a free gift. The T&C was that the gift was to be received within 2 months. It has been 8 months since the same was to be received.

                    I also received a letter from the group head apologizing for the dealy and an assurance that the gift would be recieved latest by 15July.I have been following up regularly and the responses are different everytime and are as follows:
                    --> we are out of stock of the gifts
                    --> we have defective stock
                    --> we promise you that we will dispatch the gift within 4 weeks
                    --> you will receive the gift by month end

                    I am tired of false promised. the magazine also never reaches on time!

                            Dear Sir,

                            To my surprise 3days back Mr.NANDA KISHORE has called and asked me to pay another 13500/- to get my Rs.2,00,000/- GOLD BOX. This is sheer cheating. Prior to this someboday has collected Rs.2500/- towards the secure courier charges with insurance to deliver the CLUBBING ID which would enable me to buy Rs.2,00,000/- worth GOLD BOX/Jewellary from SURATH DIAMONDS FREE OF COST. The person earlier contacted may be Mr.Amit has given me AROMEX COURIER ID which I am going to get the above mentioned Rs.2,00,000/- worth GOLD BOX/Jewellary from SURATH DIAMONDS. But till today I haven't received any Rs.2,00,000/- worth GOLD BOX/Jewellary from SURTH DIAMONDS..



                            Therefore, it is sheer cheating by INDIA TODAY BOOK CLUB. I am going to complaint this matter to CONSUMER FORUM immediately and publish in ALL LEADING NEWS PAPERS as my relative is a POLICE COMMISSIONER also. This is not a false threat from me. It is true unless you solve my issue.

                              I still have another querry i.e. When are you going to despatch / deliver the FREE ADIDAS BAG.

                              Further please refer attachment India Book Club.pdf (47KB), the underlined item NO691 Umero Uno Wrist Watch-Black Dial received in good condition, however regret and sorry to say that the Dial Glass peeled up and dropped / misplaced. This indicates the inferior quality of product worth Rs. 2400/- +. You are requested to replace the same with new one. Pl expedite the same to below address immediately.

                                I have ordered a CK watch worth Rs 4198 on 9th Sp, 2010. My order no was[protected]. I have not recived my watch within 3-4 weeks & no communication from them.

                                I, in the month of october I have been continoulsly following up (7 calls & several emails )for delivery of my watch. I was always assured that the watch will be delivered in a weeks time.

                                But, no such thing happened & this fraud company has been using our money. They dont even have the courtesy to call & say that the product is out of stock & the order cannot be complete. Such a big company is not aware of its fact that whether the watch will be in stock or not. Or this company works this way only, use customer money, confirm the order & dont give the product as well as their money back.

                                My concern is was it not the duty of company to make customer aware about his order??? Why customer needs to follow up ??? Upon followup by customer, why there was no transperancy & why we were kept in dark that they order will be completed??

                                Upon cancellation (forcefully by bagittoday), it was said that it will take one month's time to get refund. WHY?????????????????????????

                                While taking the money, it took only 30 secs & while returning our money, why it shall take 30 days....


                                Complete my order (Which i am more interested in) or refund me my money with interest.

                                  i paid the subscription amount and renewed my existing subscription under the above offer. even after three months and half a dozen reminders the said cell phone is not being sent; their customer care centre is also not responding; the magazine is also not coming for the past two months; after repeated requests on telephone, the latest issue is being sent to me about 5 days back through courier

                                  The India Today Group — Without acceptance offer sent by the group

                                  Dear Sir/ Madam

                                  Some time back i took an offer of the company and later on i felt that it is not worthwhile to take offers from this group.

                                  But after that i continuously receiving message from their side and i dont know how to unsubscribe it and yesterday i got the SMS from their side that they have dispatched me some offer n now i have to accept it and pay 499 on delivery.

                                  I want you to investigate the issue that without accepting any offer why should i accept their offers.

                                  This comment is with reference to Dr Rao, Gurgaon. I have also paid the subscription amount to INDIA TODAY through online payment by my debit card on July 20, 2012 but till today I have neither received the first copy nor the free gift ' MOBILE PHONE '. My order number is ITE-WEB[protected]. In spite of repeated appeals to '[protected]@intoday.com' the concerned officials do not bother to respond and take necessary measurement.

                                  Likewise, it is turning out to be an action of ' Cheating the Innocent subscribers ' who are unaware of the pros and cons of the legal actions that can be taken against INDIA TODAY.

                                  INDIA TODAY is spoiling its reputation among the subscribers.

                                  I want to draw the attention of the Managing Body of the magazine and the owner of this GROUP.

But till date I am waiting for all above items . I have e-mailed for three- four times to reply in this regard but they are not replying for the same .

                                      on day i received a call from the india today club fellow that they are giving an sansung video camara for 15000 od amunt and also promised a DVD ALONG WITH SOUND system worth 11000, they charfged my card with this amount and they had promised gift vouchers for 50000( diamond copunes) and they have charged ne with rs 598 for immediated registraion , they have provided me the invoice number [protected], all this was done on 7th sept. tiil date i have not received any thing my product or free goft , the number thay have given only says for free gifts please loginn to the site , kindly hepl me, i have been cheated by such a big organisation , i think we should not believe any one in this country, such frauds should be stopped immdeiately
