Hi I am Shrinivas Panchamukhi from Kaiga Karnataka,
This is my story & experience with bag it today (India Today Group)

I have attached the photograph of the shoes shown in ad & the ones delivered .The one the paper cutting is the shoes advertised by bagittoday & the brown color ones are the delivered shoes.

Please do not purchase anything from bag it today. They cheat people by giving ads on net & news papers. They deliver the product that's entirely different from the one they show in the advertisement.They do not even have the courtesy to reply to the mails leave alone calling the customer back. I have been cheated by them & I have mailed the photo graph of shoes they advertised & they finally delivered. I have sent the shoes back & I was promised replacement when I spoke to them but nothing materialized. If the space permits I will post everything here.

I had booked bag it today’s Reebok kit by seeing the advertisement in the Kannada daily Sanyukta Karnataka. I have received the kit on[protected] against VPP for Rs3443/-. But I found that the shoes delivered to me are completely different from the ones shown in the advertisement. While taking the order I was told that the shoes delivered would be the same as the ones shown in the advertisement. I am shocked to see this & really surprised that a sister concern of India Today can do like this. This kind of treatment is bound to harm your company’s reputation as well as that of Reebok & India Today (Who claim to uphold the ethics & values of business & that of our great Country India).
Subsequently I talked to your office[protected] with your customer care representative on[protected].I was told to send these shoes back & these shoes would be replaced with the ones shown in the advertisement. I was also assured that the amount I spend on sending these shoes would be reimbursed. I requested for change of shoe size as I require 8 No shoes now & this request was acceded to.
What worries me more is that “Can a company like Bag It Today do like this?” If this is the case then people will stop buying products from such companies & also people will loose trust in the brand “Today”. This affects the very sanctity of India Today Group & could damage its reputation due to negative publicity & negative feedback of customers. This should not be allowed to happen.
This is the concern of a common man like me who is a regular reader of India Today.

I am sending the shoes through professional courier & it costs me Rs200/- I hope you stick to your promise & send me the new shoes shown in the advertisement of 8 number size. Also you will reimburse the cost incurred on sending the shoes back.
Hence do the needful.

I was provided the complaint number, when I insisted for one (when I called your office) Complaint No:681418. This was given by one Mr:Vikram who also confirmed the receipt of shoes.

Also, only I had to make a call to your office number...[protected] & each time I was made to wait for at least 15 minutes where as you take order through toll free number. It should have been otherway around. The onus of responding to the customer lies with you.

You should at least have had the courtesy to inform me about the status of my complaint either through telephone or else through e mail, leave alone replacing.

It pains me a lot when I think a company like Bag It Today does like this. I am even mere surprised when none of you (addressed in cc) bothered to reply to my mail. Is it what Shri Prabhu Chawla speaks in "Sidhi Bath" or for that matter "Aaj Tak" the brain child of Shri S P Singh preaches.

I have very high regard for Shri Prabhu Chawala, India Today & "Aaj Tak" but I can not understand why everybody is mum on this matter.

I hope you will reply this time & address my complaint this time in order to keep your promise.

I had purchased a Reebok Sunglasses from www.bagittoday.com as on 9th April'2010
by Bill No. ORA[protected] and i was also given a holiday package for 2 Nights/3 days.The holiday
voucher No. was ITBC 17826. As per their instructions as required in holiday voucher i send them
a D.D No.048381 dated 21st May'2010 by registered post docket No. 367907. I also got confirmation from their office by Madam Anusha that they have received my DD and completely filled holiday voucher and
will be giving me confirmation for Agra in Feburay'2011 by last week of December'2010 but since twenty
days i am trying to caontact them by phone and mail and everytime i am getting no reply.

I had booked and paid for a pair of Rebok shoes vide Order No. OGA[protected] in February 2009. Since then I have3 been continuously in touch with the executives of Books club, but to my surprise, till date I could not get either the material or any satisfactory reply from the organisation. I hereby once again request you to send the material as above at the earliest or refund my money back to my account without fail. Otherwise, I have left with no other alternative than to approach the Consumer Forum and the concerned RTI authority.

Such an unpleasant dealing from a reputed organisation like Times Today Book Club is highly unwanted and unexpected.

Kindly look into the above grievance and solve it without further delay.

Indiatoday and its partner premier promotions ltd. banglore fraud

We had purchased a 7 day holiday voucher from bagittoday online offers we received through email in July 2010. Bagittoday is a India Today group initiative so we believed in it and invested in the holiday.
We received some free gifts along with the holiday voucher.
We had to fill the holiday voucher and send to Premier promotions ltd, banglore"(partner of india today) along with Rs 800 DD as processing fees . We fulfilled all their requirements (sent our required valid dates and destinations) .
After repeatedly calling customercare of bigcity and Ms. Anusha, we received confirmation about receipt of voucher and its validation in september 2010. But we didnot get the holiday confirmation and no reply from Anusha and kunal of bigcity which are incharge of this department.
Anusha rejected our november2010 dates in october 2010 saying dates are not available. We asked for hotel suitable dates which she did not provide.Then we provided her with new jan-feb 2011 dates still she has not confirmed our dates saying hotels donot take bookings in advance which is !!!!!!!!!!! Never heard of it ...is it??????????? Seeing all this we just feel we are being avoided and have been cheated by INDIA Today and its partners.
Indiatoday is not taking any responsibility as it says its partner is involved in the holiday offer. But we had bought the voucher from india today and trusted them which they have easily broken.India today cant just run away because they have bot checked for their partners credibility and cheated their customers. We have shared this experince with as many people as we can so that they can stay away from INDIA TODAY. We are now planning to share it with social networks and newspaper so that public can stay away from this fraudsters.
We are still following up with Anusha from bigcity,premier promotions banglore from last 4 months but they are not replying or confirming our trip.
We have invested our money,time in doing all this and have faced a lot of mental torture due to all this.
We have all the proofs,documents,email communication with us which can prove our point.

Hi i bought a multi utility tool to take care of some minor repair works,
i had ordered the product for 1500bucks, but product i received only worth only 300bucks.
the rest is all the scrap. when i ask them. it is again a cumbersome process to get replaced.
so thinking about that process no one will have time to get replaced.

I have orderered for purchase of GATHA CD set from India Today Book Club, B-47, Indira Enclave, Neb Sarai, New Delhi-68 on 10.12.2008 with the promise to givem me Free Travel Package and Free Reebok Shoes which has not been provided to me. On theri promise to provide these free gifts after confirming the size of shoes I have made the payment of Rs.2598/- on 21.12.2008 throgh my credit card. Later on, when they did not provide me free gitfs I have requested to them to cancell my Order NO-OGA[protected] VIDE REF NO-ITBC08778817 AND I have also returned them a packet of Gatha CD and they confirm me. But till now I did not receive my Refund of Rs.2598/- after reminding them more that 50 times till now. They have also got my credit card statement which shows the payment made and proof of payment of credit card I have furnished all desired information but no reply came to me since three months. Bagittoday executive "Roshan" called me and he said 'Since you are regular customer you have won an offer .... Buy philips home theater system worth nearly 8000 and you will get some jewels free."

I purchased online and entered my payment details through IVR, since I already required the home theater system for my son.

Nearly 3 months have gone and even my account has been debited by Rs 8000+ and so far there is no sign of sending the product to me by the company.

I have wasted lot of time by calling STD number [protected].

Someone picks up and says like ' the booking id[protected] is correct and that Bagittoday company has already received the payment. However, they will take about 3 weeks to deliver.' There are other lame excuses as well.

This has happened many times now.

I am now in a desperate situation wherein I am thinking to knock the doors of police or lodge an FIR against Bagittoday?

Can this be redressed before I take this extreme step?

Buyers beware of bagittoday and everyday the advertisement you see on Times of India Newspaper.

I even contacted CC care by phone but no response except "your payment not received" (which is not in case of other online shopping portals)

Being a member of the India Today Book Club, I received the offers from Bag it Today, of a Re.1/- sale, which included few books and a Holiday Voucher from Premium Sales Promotions Pvt Ltd.
Having paid for the offer, although I received the books entitled according to the order, but, as I now get to know, The Holiday Voucher company, is a known fraud company, which has looted the customers. Having known the blacklisting, I would not send my DD of Rs.899/- to them.

The complaint is against the Bag it Today group since how can they cheat their customers by fake offers. If a reputed name like India Today Book club is associated with it, they should give services also like that.

I need my money back, as they lured me to take the offer, without checking their facts about the company they are linking with, or might be that they too are being the partners in crime.

I am not recieving magazine regularly to my shock when this month delivery boy came to deliver the magazine he showed me the paper where somebody else has signed & has recieved also i have not yet recieved the mobile phone which was to be sent to me.
I dont understand wether it is the company which is playing these tricks or they are allowing somebody else to play these tricks on consumers.

I had placed an order on 15th Oct 2010 for Alex bag (Hot Pink) and still not received the same. I am continuously following up with them, everytime i get new date. I am one of the online shopping enthusiasts and recently I got an email from Bagittoday.com asking me to become one of their members. As an incentive, they will give a free gift (which in my case was MTV Sunglasses). They call this a free gift however, charge Rs.499 for delivery and handling (I should have known then that this is just a scam). I paid for the sunglasses through my credit card and was charged Rs.499 straight away - this was on the 22nd of November 2010. Post I places my order, I recieved a confirmation email from them which is pasted below:

Almost a month has passed by and I decided to call their call center (the number listed in their email above). After about 5-6 attempts, I got through one of their call center executive named 'Lalit'. When I asked his last name, he said he does not have a last name (very wierd). Although overall, this person treated me well (I do not have any complaint against Lalit). I am providing the excerpt from my conversation with Lalit below:

I told Lalit that I have not yet recieved my order - he asked me the order number (which I provided to him from the email pasted above). He told me that the order is not 'punched' and as a customer I had no clue what he means. I told him that my credit card has already been charged. He put me on hold for 2 mins and came back asking for my alternate contact number and landmark - which I provided to him. He said that he has now punched the order and it will take another 21 working days to recieve the product. At this point, I got frustrated and did not want the product any longer. I asked him to process a refund for me. He put me on hold to launch a complaint. Post he came back, he gave me a complaint number - 709538 and told me that it will take 21 working days to process the refund (I felt chated here; these guys take less than 1 hour to charge the card and 21 working days to process a refund?). I asked him why the order has not been delivered yet to which he replied - there is an audit that happend in every company, everybody knows it (please, I am a Manager in an MNC - I know when the audits happen). I asked him to provide me a number of complaints department (or someone senior) to which he replied that as per company policy he can not give me a number but can give me a complaints email ID - [protected]@bagittoday.com. After that I hung up the phone requesting him to process my refund fast.

Please take a look at this complaint - it is a humble request from my side to take strict action against Bagittoday as they are just fooling their customers.

Dear Sir,

I was ordered a Free Gift "REEBOK CLASSIC WATCH" (Invitation received from IRCTC Promotions) & payment made Rs.499/- towards shipping charges through credit card on Nov 16, 2010.

Due to some technical error I didn't get any order no. But transaction was completed & Rs 499 was deducted from account. Transaction No is [protected] which was collected from Standard Chartered Bank. For your information I have attched the bank statement. Please go through attachment.
