I have purchased one health product on 1/11/10 and given the cheque on same day for Rs.2648/-. I am facing and suffering lots of difficulties as now more than 45 days has finished and still I havn't received the kit together with health card. At the time of buy the product IHO has promised me that i will going to received with in 21 days. Secondly their IHO Call center executive are also having lack of co-ordination and care less oriention attitude towards Customer. Every day they are promising me and give different different excuses, blaming on each other, and treated very badly to customer. I have spent more than Rs.300/400 in only telephonic follow up with them and most important is time.

Kindly advice how to proceed further?

    Thanks

Cheating and wrong information for purchase of health plan of IHO from call center
call center lady from Indian Health Organization called me on 13/04/2011, she told me the about IHO and Health plans but what ever she told me at time of purchasing the health plan of Rs 4027/- is not true, she is cheated me because she told me the company give me 4 vouchers for four members for whole body checkup, i have to use it at any hospital, i have not to pay any amount fees for the full body check up for 12 tests but it is not true as per your web site i have to pay 50 % amount when i can use this vouchers it totally cheating because i asked this question 2 times for free body checkup fee but she said it totally free you don't have to pay any rupee. also about the Medicines if i purchase any medicines from medical shops then i will get 20 % discount on it. This statement is also wrong because as per your web site 8-10 % discount i will get. Please help me, I don't want this policy, she told me about free look period for policy is 14 days from date of receipts of documents if you not satisfied our service or any wrong information then you will get back your Rs 4027/- . So Please do not send the policy document and please send my money back. Please return me my rupees 4027/- immediately. Please help me

I had received a call from your associate and they are not ready to cancel the policy, but they again committ that they can refund partial amount and extend the validity, is this the way you treat your customers, it was clearly told that I can cancel the policy without any deductions then why you don't cancel it. I have immediately raised the issue for cancellation of the policy on 16th Sept, but yet it is not cancelled.

Cancel the policy and refund the amount of Rs 2648/- immediately.

Yet I have not received any response in the regard, I think once you receive the money you simply forget the customers,

Few days ago I have received a call from IHO and it was agreed by the Sr. Customer care associate that their are some contradictions between the associates committment and actual facts mentioned in the document. Even after you realize that its your fault and your associate has given false committment then why are you not ready to refund back the amount of Rs 2648/- that I have paid.

Refund the said amount immediately, Give me the mail-id of your superiors as I need to communicate to them.

Yet, their is no response regarding cancellation of the Membership of IHO, Pls refund the amount of Rs 2648/- as soon as possible, I would repeat again that your associate has given false information of IHO and thus I want to cancel the membership, respond to this mail and call me on [protected]. I am calling your associates, but none of them picks up the phone nor calls back.

A few days ago I had talked to some of your senior associates and they have assured to resolve the problem and refund the whole amount, but I could not see any refund nor any communication from your side, nor I have received any documents regarding cancellation of IHO membership.

      .

Give me the mail-id of your superiors to escalate this issue at higher level.

I shall not be oblidged to pay the Credit Card charges or Rs 2648/- and any interest accured on the credit card for this amount should be paid by you.

      Dear Sir/Madam,

Today evening I was called by one of your associates regarding the IHO and its benefits, but the details provided by your associate are different than those that are described in your website. I am not at all satisfied and would like to cancel the membership due to your associates false commitments.

The associate said that I will be given "4 health check up vouchers" and need not pay any amount for any tests, but on the website it is mentioned that I will have to pay 50% amount which is contradictory,

It was said that the health check up vouchers are valid for one complete year, but your site says that the health check up vouchers are valid only for 6 months.

It was said that all treatments would be free of cost, but actually you are providing some discount and no free treatment.

It was said that all the pre-existing dieseases (if any) would be treated free of cost, but actually you are only providing discounts and no free treatments.

It was said that all the treatments, tests would be free of cost for any number of times upto the validity of membership (one year), but actually you are giving concessions and that too for a limited number of times and no free treatments or tests.

Their are no free surgeries but your associate said it would be done free of cost.

The associate said that their are lots of doctors in major cities of India, but I could see only a count of few doctors and only across limited cities.

I have paid using online payment thru sbi credit card an amount of Rs 2648/- for the membership, but I would like to cancel the membership as your associates have provided me false information, Please refund the whole amount that I have paid.

If is un-satisfactory that your associates provide wrong information.

Refund the amount that I have paid.

        Hi,

I am Sathish Chandra. I am a member of this plan from 16th August 2010 with Rupees 4695 (Four Thousand Six hundred ninty Five rupees) for two year validity to whole family. I recieved document on 16th August with mismatchings of the details of nominee as well as card holder.

I went to Hyderabad office and I gave a complaint to IHO Hyderabad, they revert it to head office. After one month when I went back to office they informed to come after 4 days to settle the issues.

After 4 days I went again to IHO Hyderabad, just within 2 minutes the branch manager informed me saying that if I need to cancel the plan I need to give a call or mail to IHO and I need to inform them to cancel my plan.

Again branch Manager informed me saying If I cancel the plan within 15 days from the documents received they wont charge any amount. After 15 days they will charge per day at 30 rupees or 50 rupees per day. I mailed to them as well as informed to customer care, but no response.

First we need to give rough and tough to telecallers as well as Executives without knowing the plan fully, just they will explain the things which are not involved in plan.

They are least bothered of calling and updating the customers inspite of making a strong complaint.
None of their city help line no are working properly, except common help line.

Its the worst service i have experienced in my carrier

Friends....check this out. This organisation called INDIAN HEALTH ORGANISATION (IHO) is luring customers over phone calls with lucrative plans, hide important information and get customers consent over recorded calls. Once you give your consent over a recorded call and made the payment....they will then start showing true colours. Go through the actual mail chain below. Help me expose this racket running under the name of IHO.

          - To approach the consumer grievance cell.

          Dear Sir,

          Thank you for your mail.

In reply to the points raised in your mail below, we reiterate:
There may have been an issue regarding voucher validity - we are satisfactorily addressing this; also, in no way could this have inconvenienced you already as the present vouchers are also valid at this time
We have not found any other issues - though you have expressed your unwillingness to point out any other issues, we have spent time listening to call recordings etc and are convinced about this in the absence of any further information from you. Also, your mail below indicates, for the first time, there 'may or may not have been other issues'
Regarding call centre executive designations, there appears to have been a miscommunication here. Though we do not usually share internal hierarchies, for your comfort, Bhumika is a Senior Customer Service Executive (Team Leader), while Durga has recently moved to the Inbound Customer Service Unit, and is a junior resource

Our cancellation policy clearly states that the cardmember needs to request for a cancellation within 14 days of receipt of welcome kit. Unfortunately this does not hold in your case.

Indian Health Organisation is committed to high service standards and delivering value to its large number of customers, and we follow a transparent, logical process in looking into issues such as this. We believe that the same has been done in this case too.

We hope you agree with us, and we urge you to give an opportunity to serve you well.

          Have a nice day!

          Regards,

There may or may not be other issues. I am not willing to spend any further time listening to call recordings and point out to you other irregularities, if there are any.

You have also not explained why your call centre executives have lied about their designations and why my call was transferred to a colleague when I was told I was being transferred to her senior.

          Dear Sir,

We have already responded to your queries in the mails below and in several other phone calls that are recorded for training purposes.

Despite several requests, you have not shared the details of any facts that may have been misrepresented to you during the sales call. We have looked into the matter and found that the only area where there was no clear communication from our sales person was regarding the validity of the voucher - to address this, we have offered to replace the vouchers with ones with special validity for one year as promised. As per our understanding, in the absence of any further information, this addresses the issue.

In your last mail below, you have referred to our service staff supposedly delaying proceedings by asking 'silly' questions despite having call recordings to go through. The only reason for this delay has been that after having listened to the call recordings, we have only found an issue with the way the voucher validity was communicated; therefore, we have been compelled to ask you to provide us with further information.

As regards communication address for senior management, our office address is mentioned on our website www.indianhealthorganisation.com. You could also communicate with our Head of Service, Mr. Sunando Sen, who is already aware of this issue and is marked on this mail.

In conclusion, IHO would like to clarify that:
The only misrepresentation of facts was regarding a voucher validity issue, which we have been willing to address from day one
Our communication address is clearly mentioned on our website
We have attempted to resolve the case by asking you to provide more details of any issues you wish to highlight, which we have not received

          Have a nice day!

          Regards,

          Hi,

I do not agree that your below mail is representative of what has taken place so far.

You have again hidden a lot of information....and only mentioned what suits you.
The 1st time I requested for cancellation, I was told someone would call back in 48 hours. No one called.
I again called and i was told someone would call in 24 hours. No one called.
It was me who was following up on mail and telephone to resolve this issue. You people were hardly bothered to see how this can be resolved. You were trying to earm more time by asking me silly questions about what complaint I had despite you already having all these details by way of recorded calls.

As far as miscommunication goes, you have hidden information about the voucher validity and got my consent, which is incorrect and illegal. If you can hide information about the voucher validity, I have all reasons to believe you must have hidden some other piece of information which I am not even aware. This is good enough for me to believe that IHO is unprofessional and cheating customers....why should I waste more time in listening to any further call recordings????

Secondly, When I spoke to Durga and she was not able to give me a resolution, she asked me to hold while she transfers me to her senior. That is when Bhumika came online to speak to me as her senior. When I enquired about her designation, she confirmed that she is another executive and not Durga's senior. Your call centre executive lied about the same.

When I was called thrice today i picked the call twice and told the executive that I was in a meeting and requested to call me later. You have again lied by saying contact was not established!!!!

You have still not shared the email id and office postal address of Visham Sikand which I requested earlier in my below mail.

How can I trust you people if you hide information, lie to your customers, waste customer's precious time, do not share senior people contacts and misrepresent facts!!!!

Pls. communicate your final decision by friday-2July, 2010 by way of an email.

          Vishal Maheshwari

          Dear Sir,

We have looked into your case and given below is the entire sequence of events:

          Debit date: May 18 2010
Inbound call 1st complaint received: 20st June 1230 pm - Customer complained that he was not told that vouchers will be valid for 6 months only. CCE told that we will check the call recording and he can get back to us in 24 hours.
Outbound call on 22nd June 1:45 Pm: Durga called customer, and he was asked to listen the calls. Customer got irate that he wasn’t told specifically that voucher validity is for 6 months. Customer noted designation of Durga and Bhumika who spoke with the customer and assured that he will get vouchers with 1 yr validity. Customer didn’t hear the complete calls and said that I was mis-commited other things as well but he was not ready to share more info.
Inbound call: June 25th. 10:30 AM Customer spoke with Shabnam and was enquiring about his complaint. Shabnam said that the case has already been escalated and concerned team is working n it.
Inbound call June 25th. 10:35 AM, customer called and confirmed with Shabnam if there is any complaint with which he can proceed to court. Shabnam said that there is none and he need not to go to court as the team is already working on the complaint.
Inbound call June 25- service mobile. Spoke with Satnam on his cancellation request.
We tried to contact the customer thrice today, July 1 2010 and finally when contact was established customer said that I also have all calls recorded with me and the voucher validity is enough for me to cancel this. When asked what other fake assurances were made to him, customer said that he doesn’t want to get into all that want to the membership and refund his money, else he will approach court.

We hope that you agree with the above as being representative of what has taken place so far.

As far as a resolution is concerned, our team has already offered to send you vouchers with an extended validity of one year. In case any other miscommitments were made, please let us know so that we can resolve the same for you. We have heard the sales call made to you, and there does not appear to be any other miscommitment in our opinion.

We endeavour to provide the best possible services, and this is borne out by the fact that we are offering to send you vouchers with extended validity to address the sales miscommitment issue. We hope that you agree with us and we look forward to serving you better in the future.

          Have a nice day!

          Regards,

This is ridiculous. You want to follow standard procedures in answering customer queries...what about commitments made by your people in resolution timelines....are there no SLA's defined for that????? You have calls recorded...so please take some effort and go through the last 2-3 calls and you shall get to know the issues!!!!

I do not hear from you people with a resolution within tomorrow, I will initiate further action against IHO. Pls. do not waste my time asking irresponsible questions and rather spend that time resolving customer issues.

While you are resolving my query, pls. share the email id and postal address of Visham Sikand.

          Vishal

IHO has hidden vital information while selling the package and the executives have lied.

This is the last and final request to IHO team to resolve my complaint within 24 hours.

            Hi!

This is a case of reputed hospital in delhi. My father had problem of rectal prolapse (rectum falls out) with occasional bleeding during defaecation. We consulted 3-4 doctors, and all of them said that you may get temporary relief from medication, but if you want permanent relief surgery is the only option. Although this problem wasnt hindering much his routine life, but we thought that its better to take precaution in time.

With this in mind we consulted surgeons in a reputed hospital in delhi, explained them the case, after which they recommended us to go for Laparoscopic Rectopexy. My dad got admited to the hospital the following week. He was opearted on the same day and was to be discharged a day after. However, the next day of surgery, he experinced a sudden pain in his abdomen, which we informed to the doctor on phone. He said its a normal postoperative pain.

The next day, my dad still had pain in his abdomen and complained the nurse about it. The Doctor came for routine round, when my father again told him that he still had pain and his abdomen is swelling too. Without paying much heed, doctor said you will be fine and we will discharge you today.

In the afternoon, his pain and swelling increased. And just in time of discharge he vomited, that too in huge volume. Doctors were informed about it, but no one came to check him. My father refused to take discharge and stayed back. He was feeling anxious and sweating profusely. even then no one came to check him. In the evening when we send third reminder to the doctor, that his condition is not imporving, his abdomen is swelling and he cant sit or sleep properly, he send a RMP on the round. That RMP, put a tube through my father's nose, from which some green coloured fluid began to come. this was the same fluid that came out in vomiting.

That night none of the doctors attended him and his condition detiorated further. Next day his swelling increased more terribly. doctor came for the routine round and recommended an ultrsound. While the radiologist said he saw some water in his abdomen, doctor said he isn't sure what that fliud is. He gave my father more antibiotics, painkillers etc. and went. At night, he began to have difficulty in breathing. After which we informed doctor and he asked us to go for CT scan. In CT scan some water was found in his lungs and abdomen area. He was admitted to ICU immediately as he had breathing problem.

Next day in afternoon, doctors called another emergency surgery, in which they found 1x1 cm perforation in his sigmoid colon ( this is well within the opeartive field of first opeartion), plus one ltr. of fecal fluid in his abdomen. This fecal fluid led to septecemia (septic in blood) in his body. After this surgery he was kept on ventilator. 6 days after this surgery, the infection reoccured in his body and he died on the 8th day, after the second surgery.

This was something we least expected. A minor surgery resulted in such fatal complications, which took his life. we, the entire family, were kept completely oblivious of his condition in ICU. Doctors told us white lis on several occasions. Now what do you recommend is such a case?
