The following complaint was sent by email to irctc, though irctc gave the docket no., complaint still stands unresolved

Sir,
1. I booked an online ticket from dehradun to vadodara buy kochivalli express (Train no. 22660).
Ticket was waitlisted. Pl. Refer to pnr [protected].
2. On 7.12.2017, i received an sms informing cancellation of the above referred train no.226600
(Screenshot attached).
3. I contacted the customer care of railways, who informed that when a train is cancelled the refund
For the tickets get automatically deposited in the passenger's account.
3. Subsequently, i was forced to make another arrangement by making other reservations from dehradun to
New delhi by nanda devi (Train no.12206) on 12.12.2017 n from nizamuddin to vadodara by trivendram
Rajdhani (Train no. 12432) on 13.12.2017.

4. On 10.12.2017, i received another sms on the 10.12.2017 just few hours before the train
Departure that my waitlisted tkt.in train 22660 (Which was cancelled) is converted to rc.
5. I am unable to understand how and when a decision to run cancelled was taken without informing the
Concerned passengers.
6. When a passenger is informed by railways about the cancelled train, will the passengers not make
Other arrangements to travel to their destinations as we did in our case.

8. All the tickets booked in the said tickets are legally bound for the refund after the intimation of
The cancellation of the train.
9. This sort of mis-communication should be a matter of big concern to railways. The reported incident
Has caused me n my wife (Having acute knee problem) both senior citizen a great inconvenience, loss
Of money, harassment and mental agony.
10. You are requested to look in to the matter immediately n refund the ticket amount along with
Suitable compensation.
