I had booked a e-ticket from Chennai to Kolkatta on 09.6.2015 by AC II tier Train No.12842 Coromandal express for 23.7.2015 to attend an important
Meeting at Kolkatta on 24.7.2015 at 3.00 pm. (PNR No.[protected]) and also railway retiring room accommodation at Kolkatta on 24.7.2015 from 12.00 pm.When I went to Chennai Central on 23.7.15 at 8.00am to board the train, I was told the train is running late and resheduled to 4.00 pm on 23.7.15, which will reach Kolkatta on 24.7.15 at 11.00 pm. Since the very purpose of my booking had gone waste due to rescheduling of the train timing, I had to cancel my ticket. In the cancelled ticket, the refund amount is mentioned as Rs.780/- as against Rs.1, 560/- (full amount). Since the cancellation is due to delay of the train, I request you to refund the full amount of Rs.1, 560/- and oblige. I was also informed by staff of Indian Railways at Chennai Central that full amount will be repaid

As it was beyond 8 hours of waiting on the platform, train did not arrived since the boarding time was Scheduled Departure : 21:20 hrs on 19th June 2015 I approached the station master the following day on 20th June, 2015 at 10:00am He told file the TDR online and the amount will be refunded. Since the station master had informed that the train is indefinitely delayed I left the station from Dadar at 10:30am and filed the TDR online. Still the reason for rejection of TDR is given as TICKET NOT Surrendered. Kindly advice further . Regards,
