Today I was waiting to book ticket in online for Nagpur at 10 AM. 1st I see available seats 189 in Gitanjali express. But in 1sec all seats were reserved. "Max. 2 tatkal can book in between 10 am to 12 noon" information was showing in my site at time of booking and resisted me to book any tatkal. I didn't book any tatkal ticket that time. Then why the information was showing in my account? This was happened same with other trains. This is completely unexpected, hopeless. I heard from my friends that broker already booked all tickets and I talked to broker and they asured me that I will get ticket. So now we ordinary people will approach to broker to book tickets in high amounts???? This is shame for IRCTC. Broker is performing better then IRCTC.

    I booked my ticket from garwa road to rourkela on 28 April 2015 in train no. 18110, the train was late by more than 4 hours at garwa road. I filed the TDR after 3 hours of the actual arrival of the train, but I received only 50% of the refund. Actually I should get full refund if the train is 3 hours late but why did I get only 50%. What should I do to get full refund.

        it is repeatedly noted that irctc site hangs or disallows ticket booking from 10 am to 10:15 am for no known reasons. once all tatkal tickets booked site opened for booking as to check regret status on site. is this to encourage to book ticket through agents? I have logged in today to book a ticket and once again noticed the problem. Hope to see some corrective action from your side.

          i am having a confirm reservation from kanpur to habeebganj by gorakhpur ltt premium train no02048.pnr no [protected] 3ac.dated 13/06/15. the information provided by railway inquiry system was wrong as i was informed that the train is running late by 45 minutes whereas the train was on time and due to this incorrect information i missed my train. the same information was provided on net also. kindly refund the amount paid by me.

                Hello Sir, I booked my tickets from Borivali to Ahmedabad, Date of Journey: 16-May-2015, PNR No [protected], Train No./Name: 12931 / ADI DOUBLE DECKR. Train got cancelled and we were not given any information or message via sms or phone. On reaching station half an hour before the departure time we got to know that train has been cancelled. We were then told that amount will be credited back to our respective accounts. We suffered a lot due to this lack of information flow and mismanagement. After that the amount has still not been credited to our account and when it was asked to the inquiry we were told that the TRS should have been filled by us with in 72 hours. But my complain is that we were not responsible for the train cancellation, inspite we suffered a lot due to this and in the end the amount was also not refunded. If the train is cancelled then the amount should be refunded automatically. Please do needful. My contact number is [protected]. Name is Gaurav Vyas.

                  I would like to mention one thing that I booked three tickets from allahabad to ahmedabad for 13th June 2015 in Patna Ahmedabad SF Premium Special Train. I booked my tickets last week and the availability was 290 seats at that time, when I was redirected to the payment page it showed me rs. 4720 per person and when I am checking the status of the train which is going to depart on 20th June 2015 the availability of the seats are 207 and it's showing rs. 3055 per person. I want to ask you why I have been charged so much? Please solve my query because I feel like I have been cheated. My pnr is [protected]

                    I booked a ticket (PNR No. [protected]) in 3rd AC by Orissa Sampark Kranti Express ( from New Delhi to Jajpur Keonjhar Road) for 3 of my family members for their journey on 29.05.2015. On the evening of 28.05.2015, I received a SMS from IRCTC on my mobile that the train No. 12820 Orissa Sampark Krant scheduled to start from New Delhi on 29.05.2015 is cancelled by Railways and you may cancel your ticket to claim refund as per railway rules. I wait for 2 hours and cancelled my ticket. But 25% was deducted from the ticket cost. To my surprise, on 29.05.2015 I observed from railway enquiry that the train is running on time. Because of IRCTC message I could not travel and missed an important family marriage. I have sent several mails to irctc customer care and simply they do not bother to respond. Will IRCTC senior bosses will lok into .

                      I booked a ticket from Chennai Egmore to Tanjore junction. I booked a Two tyre AC ticket( A1 43). The PNR number of the ticket is [protected]. I was degraded from a two tyre AC ticket to a three tyre AC ticket( A1 19). I am an elderly person and I had booked a lower birth. Due to the degradation I was given an Upper birth which discomforted me the whole journey. I wanted to know why there was a degradation in my confirmed ticket and I want a full refund of that journey fare because of the distress caused to me by IRCTC's mistake.

                      My Journey Dated 16-June-2022 PNR [protected] from Train No. 12282 booked for 3 AC from New Delhi to Bhubaneshwar. The ticket got confirmed from RAC status but the allotted confirmed ticket was handed over for Sleeper Class with confirmation status of S2 29 seat directly on the Date of Journey without prior information from IRCTC.
                      Making it impossible for me to arrange for any other arrangement, Kindly look into the matter because the ticket amount differential for 3AC and Sleeper should be refunded back into my account.
                      Request you to register my complaint and expedite the refund process.

                        My wife is 56 old lady and having the problem of artheritis. She wants to travel from Pune to Akola pn 24 th June 2015. So I booked for she for garibruth for 24 june. 242 berths were available . I gave preference for lower berth but I have been alloted side upper berth. Instantly I applied for second time and opted for!" book only if lower berth is available". I have been alloted side middle berth. As she has arthritis problem and could not go on side middle berth, I gave the option that book onle lower berth is available. However as to travel on 24 June is necessary for she, I again for the third time instantly booked for she. And that time also she has been alloted side middle berth. When you are saying to opt for lower berth only then why you are alloting side middle berth. Are all lower berths are already booked. This happened three times. Shall I presume that deliberately the side berths are being alloted. For three times I have to cancel the reservations and bear the cancellation charges, who is suffering the loss and loosing Ty he mental peace. Is this a profit making strategy . On one side Gov't. is saying to allot lower berth to senior women for her comfort and IRCTC system is deliberately alloting upper or side middle berths and making profit on cancellation charges. Is this a good service. When I opt for only a lower berth, why they are alloting other upper or middle berth . They should say or inform that lower berth is not available and so booking cannot be done. Are they going to cancel the berths without cancellation charges as I opted for lower berth only. I have to bear loss of rs 95/- for for three times. Will you solve my problem.

                          I have booked an e ticket through IRCTC from Bhopal JN to New Delhi in class 1AC for journey date 19.01.2015. Since the train was late for more than 10 hours i didn't travel through my booked ticket and i filed a TDR for refund claim against "train late for more than 3 hours." on dated:21.01.2015 After several conversation with IRCTC though email against the same i didn't received my refund amount till date. IRCTC customer care responded that TDR claim settled though railway's respective zone only and there is no role of IRCTC in this. They said that in 90 days you will get your refund amount. Status of TDR filled is still on CR registered only. Please look into this matter urgently as till date after completion of 4 months from date of TDR my account is not credited by refund amount. Details are: TDR filled date 21-Jan-2015 22:00:32 HRS Cancellation ID [protected] Reg no BNR250115W05523 Amount: RS.2505.00. PNR Number [protected]. Reason : Train late for more then 3 hours

                              Hello Sir, I travelled in Sabari express (No: 17230) on June 6th 2015 from Aluva station(AWY) to Trivandrum(TVC).Through out the journey I have observed that the catering staff are selling food items with a very non-standard and unreasonable price tag from all the customers including myself. They demanded a price of Rs.50 for three vegetable cutlets.My requirement was just two cutlets and the catering staff was very adamant that he would not sell it in twos and only threes.I had no other option other than buying it and found that many of my fellow travellers could not afford to buy the same. Quality was also below standard(Cold and bad taste).I felt cheated.It's high time IRCTC should form a cell checking all these irregularities happening across various trains in our country. I could suggest a few remedial actions like pasting the uniform price tag of all the items in all the compartments.Some sellers in the platform are also doing the same-selling above MRP of various products including Railneer water bottle. The same display of price in the platform is also necessary. Already railway is loosing various customers for various reasons like poor management, low airfares, poor on time performance etc. Please do the needful.This email is not a demand for refund but there should be a system the general public can use so that they are not exploited unreasonably.

                                Dear Sir I have booked a online Train ticket Transaction Number [protected] PNR [protected] TRAIN NUMBER 09411 FROM ADI TO PNBE DATE OF JOURNEY 28-May-2015 CLASS 3AC. Sir train was cancelled due to the Gujjar agitation by Railway Authority but my money has been not credited till now it is 14 days

                                  I have booked a confirmed train ticket from BCT to NDLS, Journey date:[protected]. However, due to Gujjar Agitation, the train got cancelled on the same day. My PNR is: [protected] Transaction ID: [protected] Train No./Name: 22913 / NDLS PREMIUM SPL From: MUMBAI CENTRAL (BCT) To: NEW DELHI (NDLS) Ticket Type: E-ticket Quota: GENERAL (GN) Ticket Charge: Rs 2520.0 Service Charge: Rs 44.94 Total: Rs 2564.94 Since I was travelling from Pune to Mumbai and then to New Delhi, I was not able to access internet to cancel the ticket for the refund. Due to this, I have not received refund for my ticket, which should be done automatically by IRCTC. I am unable to file TDR for this, due to error stating "Cancellation is Not Allowed as ticket is beyond permissible limit of cancellation". Now, IRCTC is not replying to my emails properly for the refund of Rs. 2520.0, which is not a small amount for a middle-class common man. They should be clear on the cancellation rules. If the waitlisted tickets get refunded automatically, why do the end user go through the hassles to cancel the tickets manually for the trains cancelled by Indian Railways ? Please refund the amount as per the norms as soon as possible and provide clarity on the cancellation rules for such scenarios. NOTE: I have attached a screenshot of the email conversation taken place with the IRCTC Representative. In a country of billion people, I am being duped of Rs 2500 not being refunded by IRCTC, imagine the number of people being duped on an average of Rs 500-1000 on daily basis with cases similar to mine. I will have to write to multiple forums to get people in limelight about this grave issue.
