I have booked an e ticket through IRCTC from Bhopal JN to New Delhi in class 1AC for journey date 19.01.2015. Since the train was late for more than 10 hours i didn't travel through my booked ticket and i filed a TDR for refund claim against "train late for more than 3 hours." on dated:21.01.2015 After several conversation with IRCTC though email against the same i didn't received my refund amount till date. IRCTC customer care responded that TDR claim settled though railway's respective zone only and there is no role of IRCTC in this. They said that in 90 days you will get your refund amount. Status of TDR filled is still on CR registered only. Please look into this matter urgently as till date after completion of 4 months from date of TDR my account is not credited by refund amount. Details are: TDR filled date 21-Jan-2015 22:00:32 HRS Cancellation ID [protected] Reg no BNR250115W05523 Amount: RS.2505.00. PNR Number [protected]. Reason : Train late for more then 3 hours

      Hello Sir, I travelled in Sabari express (No: 17230) on June 6th 2015 from Aluva station(AWY) to Trivandrum(TVC).Through out the journey I have observed that the catering staff are selling food items with a very non-standard and unreasonable price tag from all the customers including myself. They demanded a price of Rs.50 for three vegetable cutlets.My requirement was just two cutlets and the catering staff was very adamant that he would not sell it in twos and only threes.I had no other option other than buying it and found that many of my fellow travellers could not afford to buy the same. Quality was also below standard(Cold and bad taste).I felt cheated.It's high time IRCTC should form a cell checking all these irregularities happening across various trains in our country. I could suggest a few remedial actions like pasting the uniform price tag of all the items in all the compartments.Some sellers in the platform are also doing the same-selling above MRP of various products including Railneer water bottle. The same display of price in the platform is also necessary. Already railway is loosing various customers for various reasons like poor management, low airfares, poor on time performance etc. Please do the needful.This email is not a demand for refund but there should be a system the general public can use so that they are not exploited unreasonably.

          I have booked a confirmed train ticket from BCT to NDLS, Journey date:[protected]. However, due to Gujjar Agitation, the train got cancelled on the same day. My PNR is: [protected] Transaction ID: [protected] Train No./Name: 22913 / NDLS PREMIUM SPL From: MUMBAI CENTRAL (BCT) To: NEW DELHI (NDLS) Ticket Type: E-ticket Quota: GENERAL (GN) Ticket Charge: Rs 2520.0 Service Charge: Rs 44.94 Total: Rs 2564.94 Since I was travelling from Pune to Mumbai and then to New Delhi, I was not able to access internet to cancel the ticket for the refund. Due to this, I have not received refund for my ticket, which should be done automatically by IRCTC. I am unable to file TDR for this, due to error stating "Cancellation is Not Allowed as ticket is beyond permissible limit of cancellation". Now, IRCTC is not replying to my emails properly for the refund of Rs. 2520.0, which is not a small amount for a middle-class common man. They should be clear on the cancellation rules. If the waitlisted tickets get refunded automatically, why do the end user go through the hassles to cancel the tickets manually for the trains cancelled by Indian Railways ? Please refund the amount as per the norms as soon as possible and provide clarity on the cancellation rules for such scenarios. NOTE: I have attached a screenshot of the email conversation taken place with the IRCTC Representative. In a country of billion people, I am being duped of Rs 2500 not being refunded by IRCTC, imagine the number of people being duped on an average of Rs 500-1000 on daily basis with cases similar to mine. I will have to write to multiple forums to get people in limelight about this grave issue.

                  Hi I m travelling in train no. 04410 new delhi to basti but train is very delayed 4 hrs late from their scheduled time and I have to reach at last 8:30 a.m on 11/06/2015 but still I am in train at Lucknow in basti my niece met with an accident she is serious and I am going there to shift her Lucknow or delhi due no good hospital facilities over there to provide good treatment but she is serious over there you people are not understanding any passengers problem still your train driver is not driving properly or might be he hasn't have instruction or signals to run train. Please do some thing I don't have any option to change commuting to basti except this train please do something as earlier and give reply asap.

                      I have filed TDR for refund of money due to train cancellation. Irctc sends me the below reply. "With Reference to your PNR No:[protected], we regret to inform you that refund is not admissible as informed by Railways through their letter no : CCR160515V01037 and the reason being : 'Miscellaneous' How can they say like this. The train got cancelled we had to suffer a lot due to that and then too they are saying that your money will not be refunded. Seriously annoyed. Kindly see to this matter.                       Train no 12910 / BDTS GARIB RATH was cancelIed on 27 May 2015 but my money was not refunded.

                      When i called irctc customer care, they told that in case of train getting cancelled, you need to cancel the ticket within 72 hrs. But how would one come to know of this rule if you don't inform immediately. There was no sms or any other information saying that the train has been cancelled and if you want your money back then go to irctc portal and cancel your ticket. What is the logic of not returning the money if you cancelled the train and din't provide any service at all? Please refund my money back to the same account through which this ticket was booked. I filed the TDR request within 2 hours of Actual departure time but IRCTC people are not accepting the claim.                                 I have purchased 600 ml Mazza MRP 37.00 from a stall of IRCTC at platform No. 3 of New Jalpaiguri station at a price of Rs. 45.00. The stall is besides S4 coach of Down Tista Torsa Exp. The date of journey is 08.06.15 and my PNR No. was[protected]. I had asked the shop keeper for the reason why he is charging extra he replied thats for cooling.The same has happend for Good day biscuits MRP 10.00 purchased at Rs. 12.00 and he did not answered why he has taken extra. My question is whether that stall has the right to take extra money beyond MRP.

                                    Hi, My mother was travelling on train no 22353 ( from patna to Bangalore Cantt) which is a special train on 4th June 2015. Being a special train we were charged with heavey fares due to dynamic pricing etc...but at the same time the service was so poor that it made all the passengers to cry. 1. First of all the train is usually delayed and the same happens on 4th June of no reason. This has become a usual routine for the special trains, especially this one. 2. Since the train has very less scheduled stoppages, chances of outside food vendor is minimal or no. At the same time the train do not have a Pantry service which is of huge surprise to many. Most of the people were unprepared for this and had to suffer . Throughut the train journey, ther was no one to take order, no catering available and because of minimal stoppage train no outside vendors also came in to sale the food. This was a horrible experince after paying that huge price for tickets. 3. Again, toilets were soiled and no one was there for the cleaning . Even the water in train remain unavailable for most of the duration and finally refilling was done after long.. This is unacceptable and torturous.

The train was cancelled on the last moment i.e. travel date 22 May 15 at 4.00 pm and train got cancelled at 3.00 pm. We were informed that the ticket refund will be automatically be credited in your account. On further inquiry post 15 days, as i did not got refund in my credit card, i was informed that you / train passenger is required to cancel the ticket with in 72 hours of travel other wise refund is not allowed. This rule seems to be very pathetic as the train is cancelled by the Indian Rail and the refund should be processed automatically. And to the surprise I got to know this after numerous call to a pathetic call center of IRCTC[protected]

                                        Dear sir, this is to inform you that my ticket pnr:[protected] from delhi to chandigarh by kalka shatabdi was cancelled automatically without any prior information. I was neither refunded the transaction. So kindly seek to the matter and do the needfull to refund my money of the cancelled ticket.
                                        Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation [IRCTC] customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
